Abstract

Ikan layang merupakan salah satu komoditas ekonomis penting di Sulawesi Selatan. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui beberapa aspek biologi reproduksi ikan layang meliputi nisbah kelamin, Indeks Kematangan Gonad (IKG), Tingkat Kematangan Gonad (TKG), ukuran pertama kali matang gonad dan fekunditas ikan layang deles yang tertangkap menggunakan bagan perahu di perairan Kabupaten Barru. Pengambilan sampel dilakukan pada bulan Juni hingga Oktober 2013 di Kelurahan Sumpang Binangae yang merupakan fishing-base nelayan penangkap ikan layang deles. Analisis sampel dilakukan di Laboratorium Biologi Perikanan, Jurusan Perikanan, Universitas Hasanuddin, Makassar. Nisbah kelamin dianalisis menggunakan uji chi-kuadrat, TKG ditentukan secara morfologi, IKG dihitung menggunakan metode perhitungan (Johnson, 1971), ukuran pertama kali matang gonad diperoleh dari ukuran pertama pada TKG III dan fekunditas menggunakan metode gravimetric. Ikan layang deles yang diperoleh selama penelitian sebanyak 213 ekor, dengan nisbah kelamin jantan : betina adalah 2,33 : 1,00.  Secara statistik, nisbah kelamin ikan jantan dan betina bukan 1 : 1 atau dalam keadaan tidak seimbang (α = 0,05 ; X2 hitung = 59,6082;  X2 tabel = 9.488; db = 4).  Ikan layang deles pada perairan Barru diperoleh TKG I sampai V dengan IKG 0.0503– 4.4667 % untuk ikan jantan dan 0.2501 – 7.6677 % untuk ikan betina. Persentase ikan layang deles matang gonad tertinggi ditemukan pada bulan Juli dan September, baik untuk ikan jantan maupun ikan betina, sementara pada bulan Oktober ikan yang tertangkap didominasi ikan yang belum matang gonad. Ikan layang deles jantan matang gonad pada ukuran 142 mm dan betina pada ukuran 128 mm dengan fekunditas berkisar antara 1.512 - 34.875 butir.

Abstract

The research aim is to know the diversity of coral fish in Badi and Kodingareng Lompo islands. The study isheld from May until June 2014. The samples are taken twice for one month by using belt transect method.Transect lines were put on depth 3 meters and each dept was. The observed region is as long 50-meter transectlines with the shoreline margin 2,5 meter at the left and right side of the transect. Analysis of data isdone by calculating the kinds of compositions, abundance, diversity index, uniformity, and domination. Theresult of this research is the composition of coral fish in each island. In Badi islands the composition of coralfish is 50 kinds of fish from 15 families with 131 fish. In Kodingareng Lompo island, the composition of coralfish is 21 kinds of fish from 9 families with 82 fish. In Badi island , the diversity index is 3.3870 andKodingareng Lompo island is 2.5566, the uniformity index Badi island is 0.2606 and Kodingareng Lompoisland is 0.2527, and the dominantion index Badi island is 0.0461 and Kodingareng Lompo island is 0.0967.Keywords: Diversity, Abundance, Coral fish, Badi island, Kodingareng Lompo island

Abstract

This research aimed to study correlation between the weight length and the condition factor of Pirikfish.The sample collection conducted from September 2014 through February 2015 in Sanrego river, LangiVillage, Bone regency, South Sulawesi. The analysis of the samples carried out in the Laboratory of FishBiology, Department of Fisheries, Hasanuddin University, Makassar. The total length was measured usingdigital calliper of 0.01 mm and the weight was measured using the digital scale of 0.001 g. The fish sampleswere dissected and categorized into male and females with the sex gonad maturity. The total samples of theendemic pirik fish collected during the research were 162, 72 male dan 90 female fish. The correlation of theweight length was based on the equation W=0,00003L2,8719 at male fish, W=0,00003L2,8575 in the female fish andin general, the obtained equation was W=0,00003L2,8846. The result of the t test showed that the value washigher than t table; therefore, the Pirik fish in Sanrego rivers had negative allometric growth attern (minor) (b <3), since the addition of body length was faster than the increase of body weight. The analysis of the conditionfactor revelead that the value range of 0,8038-1,2926 with an average 1,0274 in male fish and 0,9263-1,4533with the average of 1,1598 in female fish. This showed that the conditions factors of the endemic pirik fish werelower compared to the female fish.Keywords : Length weight, condition factor, endemic-pirik fish, Sanrego River, South Sulawesi

Abstract

White-spotted spinefoot, Siganus canalicullatus (Park, 1797) is one of the most economically importantherbivorous fish captured along the coast of Selayar Islands. The present work was undertaken to assess thelength-weight relationship and Fulton's K condition factors of this fish caught in the waters of the northern coastof Selayar Islands District. Those parameters were calculated separately for both sexes. A total of 498specimens of S. canaliculatus consisting of 265 males and 233 females were randomly collected on a monthlybasis between January and June 2015 from local fishermen using gill nets of various mesh size in the coastalwaters of Desa Barat Lambongan, Kecamatan Bontomatene, northern part of Selayar Islands District. The fishwere brought to the laboratory and, after washing, their total length (L) was measured to the nearest 1 mm usinga fish measuring board and the total body weight (W) was recorded to the nearest 0.01 g using an electronicbalance. Each fish was then cut open and the sex were recorded. The length-weight relationships of males andfemales can be expressed as log W = –4.4220 + 2.7772 log L for males, indicated hypoallometric growthpattern; and log W = –4.6840 + 2.9022 log L for females, indicated isometric growth pattern. Abstract

Kerang hijau (Perna viridis) merupakan salah satu komoditas perikanan yang potensial untuk dikembangkan.Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menduga parameter dinamika populasi kerang hijau meliputi kelompok umur,pertumbuhan, mortalitas, laju eksploitasi dan yield per recruitment. Penelitian ini dilaksanakan pada bulanApril sampai Mei 2015 di Perairan Mandalle, Kabupaten Pangkep. Analisis sampel dilakukan di LaboratoriumBiologi Perikanan, Universitas Hasanuddin. Penentuan kelompok umur dan laju pertumbuhan menggunakanmetode Bhattacharya dengan bantuan program Fish Stock Assesment (FISAT II). Penentuan mortalitas total (Z)menggunakan metode Beverton dan Holt, mortalitas alami (M) menggunakan metode Ricker dan Evanof,penentuan laju eksploitasi (E) dan yield per recruitment (Y/R) menggunakan persamaan Beverton dan Holt.Hasil penelitian ini diperoleh 1418 ekor kerang hijau dengan kisaran panjang cangkang mulai dari 19,6 hingga78,2 mm, terdiri dari 5 kelompok umur dengan panjang rataan masing-masing yaitu panjang rataan dari setiapkelompok umur kerang hijau : 31,46 mm, 39,85 mm, 50,13 mm, 58,89 mm dan 69,37 mm. Koefisien lajupertumbuhan (K) = 0,42 per bulan, L∞ = 82,75 mm, t0 = -0,5289 per bulan. Mortalitas total (Z) = 3,61 perbulan, mortalitas alami (M) = 1,147 per bulan, mortalitas penangkapan (F) = 2,46 per bulan. Eksploitasi (E) =0,6. Hal tersebut menunjukkan kerang hijau di Perairan Mandalle mengalami tingkat eksploitasi tinggi (overfishing), serta nilai Yield per Recruitment (Y/R) 0,0169 gram/recruitment.Kata kunci : Dinamika populasi, kerang hijau, Perna viridis, Pangkajene dan Kepulauan

Abstract

ABSTRAKIkan terbang merupakan salah satu sumberdaya perikanan yang melimpah dan memiliki nilai sosial ekonomi cukup penting karena salah satunya dijadikan sebagai usaha pengasapan ikan di Provinsi Sulawesi Barat. Program Kemitraan Masyarakat Melalui Penerapan Teknologi Pengasapan Ikan Terbang Di Kelurahan Mosso, Kabupaten Majene, Provinsi Sulawesi Barat, bertujuan untuk meningkatkan kemampuan dan keterampilan masyarakat tentang cara produksi ikan asap yang baik. Kegiatan ini dilaksanakan pada bulan Juni 2020 di Kelurahan Mosso, Kecamatan Sendana, Kabupaten Majene, Provinsi Sulawesi Barat. Mitra kelompok yang menjadi sasaran utama pengabdian ini yaitu kelompok usaha pengasapan ikan terbang “Siamasei Lestari”. Metode yang digunakan pada kegiatan pengabdian ini Penyuluhan dan praktek cara produksi ikan asap yang baik serta introduksi teknologi alat pengasapan ikan. Hasil yang dicapai dari kegiatan ini antara lain meningkatnya kemampuan dan keterampilan masyarakat tentang cara produksi ikan asap yang baik dan adanya alat pengasapan ikan yang dapat digunakan untuk pengembangan usaha mitra program kemitraan masyarakat. Beberapa keuntungan dari penggunaan alat pengasapan ikan antara lain efisiensi penggunaan asap sehingga produk cepat matang, kualitas yang seragam dan warna yang lebih menarik, kuantitas produk lebih banyak, produk akhir yang lebih higienis, menghemat biaya produksi karena efisiensi bahan bakar yang digunakan optimal dan produk akhir yang lebih higienis karena proses produksi tidak terkontaminasi.   Kata kunci: Ikan terbang; pengasapan; program kemitraan masyarakat; sulawesi barat; teknologi ABSTRACTFlying fish is one of the abundant fisheries resources and has quite important socio-economic value because one of them is used as a fish smoking business in West Sulawesi Province. The community development program through the Application of Flying Fish Smoking Technology in Mosso Village, Majene Regency, West Sulawesi Province, the aims to improve the capacity and skills of the community on good smoked fish production methods. This activity was carried out in June 2020 in Mosso Village, Sendana District, Majene Regency, West Sulawesi Province. The group partner who is the main target of this service is the flying fish smoking business group "Siamasei Lestari". The method used in this service activity provides counseling and practice of good smoked fish production methods as well as the introduction of smoking equipment technology. The results that were achieved from this activity included the improvement of the community's abilities and skills on how to produce smoked fish properly and the existence of a fish smoker that can be used for business development of community partnership program partners. Some of the advantages of using fish smoking equipment include the efficient use of smoke so that the product ripens quickly, uniform quality and more attractive color, more product quantity, more hygienic final products, saving production costs due to optimal fuel efficiency and final product. which is more hygienic because the production process is not contaminated. Keywords: flying fish; smoked;  community development program; west sulawesi;  technology

Abstract

Pirik (Lagusia micracanthus Bleeker, 1860) is one of endemic fishes in Sulawesi. Morphometric and meristic infor-mation of Pirik population in various habitats are unknown. The present study aimed to determine the morphometric and meristic variations of Pirik in Maros and Walanae Cenranae Watersheds. Sampling collection was carried out monthly from May 2018 to April 2019 in the Maros watershed, namely Pattunuang River (M1), Bantimurung River (M2), Pucak River (M3); and in Walanae Cenranae watershed particularly in Camba River (W1), Sanrego River (W2), and Ompo River (W3). Morphometric measurements consisted of 31 characters and meristic measurements consisted of 10 characters. Morphometric data was standardized by dividing all morphometric characters by standard length (SL). Analysis of vari­ance (ANOVA) and discriminant analysis (Discriminant Function Analysis) were applied for data analysis. The results showed that the Pirik taken from rivers in the Maros and Walanae Cenranae watershed are two different population groups. There are 12 distinguishing morphometric features for Pirik of the Maros and Walanae Cenranae watershed, i.e. TL (total length), SL (standard length), BDdSA (body depth-dorsal fin origin), HL (head length), Jlup (upper-jaw length), PAfL (pre-anal fin length), ABL (Anal fin base length), PelRL (pelvic ray length), AFRL (anal fin ray length), CPL (caudal peduncle length), CLLup (upper caudal lobe length) and CLLmid (mid-caudal length). There is no significant difference of meristic characters of Pirik obtained from the Maros and Walanae. Abstrak Ikan pirik (Lagusia micracanthus Bleeker, 1860) merupakan ikan endemik Sulawesi. Informasi morfometrik dan meristik untuk mengungkap perbedaan antar populasi L. micracanthus pada berbagai habitat belum pernah dilakukan. Penelitian ini bertujuan menganalisis perbedaan morfometrik dan meristik ikan pirik di Daerah Aliran Sungai (DAS) Maros dan DAS Wallanae Cenrana. Manfaat penelitian ini adalah sebagai dasar dalam penentuan strategi konservasi dan pengelolaan ikan pirik secara berkelanjutan. Pengambilan sampel dilakukan pada bulan Mei 2018 hingga April 2019, di DAS Maros yang meliputi Sungai Pattunuang (M1), S.Bantimurung (M2), S.Pucak (M3) dan DAS Wallanae Cenrana, yang meliputi S.Camba (W1), S.Sanrego (W2) dan S.Ompo (W3). Pengukuran morfometrik terdiri atas 31 karakter dan penghitungan meristik terdiri atas 10 karakterData morfometrik dibakukan dengan membagi semua karakter morfometrik dengan panjang standar (SL). Analisis data menggunakan analisis varian (ANOVA) dan analisis diskriminan (Discriminant Function Analysis). Hasil analisis menunjukkan bahwa ikan pirik yang berasal dari sungai-sungai di DAS Maros dan DAS Wallanae Cenrana merupakan dua kelompok populasi yang berbeda. Terdapat 12 karakter morfometrik yang menjadi penciri ikan pirik sungai-sungai di DAS Maros dan di DAS Wallanae Cenrana yaitu TL (panjang total), SL (panjang baku), BDdSA (tinggi badan dari sirip punggung), HL (panjang kepala), Jlup (panjang rahang atas), PAfL (panjang sebelum sirip anal), ABL (panjang dasar sirip anal), PelRL (panjang sirip perut), AFRL (panjang jari-jari lemah sirip anal), CPL (panjang batang ekor), CLLup (panjang lobus ekor bagian atas), CLLmid (panjang tengah ekor). Karakter meristik antara ikan pirik DAS Maros dan Wallanae Cenrana tidak memiliki perbedaan yang nyata.

Abstract

Lagusia micracanthus is one of endemic freshwater fish in Sulawesi. It also has been locally consumed. The purpose of this research was to analyze length-weight relationship and condition factors of L. micracanthus in rivers of the Maros Watershed, South Sulawesi Province . The study was conducted in three rivers, namely Pattunuang River, Bantimurung River and Pucak River. The sampling was conducted monthly from May 2018 to April 2019. Fish samples were collected by an electric shocker (12 V and 9 A). A total of 1850 individual fishes with samples ranging from 31.58-127.79 mm in total length and 0.76-31.07 g in weight. The length-weight relationship was W = 0.00009L2.6241 (r = 0.95) in Pattunuang River, W = 0.0001L2.5237 (r = 0.94) in Bantimurung River, and W = 0.0001L2.4953 (r = 0.92) in Pucak River. The slope (b) values of L. micracanthus obtained a negative allometric growth pattern (b <3). The relative condition factors of L. micracanthus was fluctuated from 0.86 to 1.43 in Pattunuang River, 0.65 to 1.45 in Bantimurung River, and 0.55 to 1.26 in Pucak River. The condition factor increased towards the peak of the spawning season and decreased after the spawning period. The condition factor increased with the increasing of gonad maturity stage up to stage IV and decreased after spawned or stage V. Abstrak Lagusia micracanthus merupakan salah satu ikan endemik air tawar Sulawesi.Ikan ini telah lama dimanfaatkan masyarakat lokal sebagai ikan konsumsi. Penelitian ini bertujuan menganalisis hubungan panjang-bobot dan faktor kondisi L. micracanthus di sungai-sungai pada Daerah Aliran Sungai Maros, Provinsi Sulawesi Selatan. Penelitian dilakukan di tiga Sungai yaitu Sungai Pattunuang, Sungai Bantimurung dan Sungai Pucak. Pengambilan ikan contoh dilakukan setiap bulan dari Mei 2018 hingga April 2019. Penangkapan ikan contoh menggunakan alat tangkap electric shocker (12 V & 9 A). Total ikan yang tertangkap sebanyak 1850 ekor dengan panjang berkisar 31,58-127,79 mm dan bobot 0,76-31,07 g. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan, hubungan panjang bobot L. micracanthus di Sungai Pattunuang adalah W = 0,00009L2,6241 (r = 0,95), Sungai Bantimurung W= 0,0001L2,5237 (r = 0,94) dan Sungai Pucak W = 0,0001L2,4953 (r = 0,92). Berdasarkan nilai b yang diperoleh L. micracanthus tergolong ke dalam tipe pertumbuhan allometrik negatif (b < 3). Nilai faktor kondisi ikan pirik berfluktuasi. Di Sungai Pattunuang nilai faktor kondisi berkisar antara 0,55-1,26, di Sungai Bantimurung berkisar 0,65-1,45 dan di Sungai Pucak berkisar 0,55-1,26. Faktor kondisi meningkat menjelang puncak musim pemijahan dan menurun setelah masa pemijahan. Faktor kondisi meningkat seiring peningkatan tingkat kematangan gonad sampai pada TKG IV dan menurun setelah ikan berpijah atau pada TKG V.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan menganalisis struktur ukuran ikan tongkol yang tertangkap di perairan Majene, Provinsi Sulawesi Barat. Pengambilan sampel dilaksanakan selama enam bulan sejak Mei hingga Oktober 2018. Penangkapan ikan menggunakan alat tangkap jaring lingkar dan pancing. Ikan diukur panjang, ditimbang beratnya, dibedah, diidentifikasi jenis kelamin dan tingkat kematangannya gonadnya. Analisis Indeks Kematangan Gonad (IKG) dilakukan. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian jumlah ikan tongkol diperoleh selama penelitian sebanyak 372 ekor ikan (216 jantan dan 156 betina). Kisaran panjang total ikan tongkol lisong (A. rochei) yang tertangkap di Perairan Majene berkisar 16,20 – 29,80 cm. Sebaran frekuensi panjang ikan tongkol lisong (A. rochei) yang tertangkap di Perairan Majene didominasi oleh dua kelas interval yakni pada kelas interval 18 – 20 cm dan kelas interval 26-28 cm. Nilai IKG pada ikan tongkol lisong yaitu berkisar 1.5641-5.6401 (betina) dan 1.3846-7.0727 (jantan). Nilai IKG ikan tongkol lisong (A. rochei) tertinggi diperoleh di bulan Agustus yang diduga merupakan puncak pemijahan bagi ikan tongkol.

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis kualitas air Sungai Batetangnga sebagai dasar kelayakan budidaya untuk usaha budidaya perikanan. Penelitian ini dilaksanakan pada bulan Juni hingga Agustus 2021, di Sungai Batetangnga, Polewali Mandar, Sulawesi Barat. Lokasi pengambilan sampel dilakukan di Muara sungai, Rawa Bangun, Salu pajaan dan Limbong Lopi. Pengukuran parameter fisik kimiawi meliputi suhu, pH, oksigen terlarut, arus, kecerahan, amoniak dan fosfat. Metode pengukuran berdasarkan American Public Health Association (APHA). Data diolah dan dianalisa secara deskriptif. Secara umum kondisi perairan S. Batetangnga masih dalam kondisi optimal untuk budidaya ikan. ABSTRACT The present study aims to analyze the water quality of the Batetangnga River for aquaculture. This research was conducted from June to August 2021, in the Batetangnga River, Polewali Mandar, West Sulawesi. Sampling locations were carried out in the Estuary of the river, Rawa Bangun, Salu Pajaan, and Limbong Lopi in Batetangnga village. Data was collected on temperature, pH, dissolved oxygen, current, water clarity, ammonia and phosphate. The data is processed and analyzed descriptively. The results showed that station 1 (Estuary) obtained temperature (26.0-26.6○C), brightness (25-40 m), current velocity (0.2-0.3 m/sec), depth (25-40 m/sec). cm), dissolved oxygen (6.3-7.9 mg/L), pH (7.2-8.0), ammonia and phosphate (0.000 mg/L). station 2 (Rawabangun) obtained a temperature of 25.5-27.2○C, water clarity 56-67 m, current velocity 0.1 m per second, depth 56-67 cm, dissolved oxygen 6.9-8.2 mg/ L, pH 6.9-8.2, ammonia and phosphate 0.00 mg/L, respectively. At station 3 (Salu Pajaan) the temperature is 25.2-26.1○C, brightness is 30-42 m, current velocity is 0.2-0.3 m/sec, depth is 31-42 cm, dissolved oxygen is 6.2- 6.3 mg/L, pH 7.5-8.3, ammonia 0.015 mg/L, and phosphate 0.041 mg/L. At station 4 (Limbong lopi) the temperature is 24.7-25.5○C, brightness is 62-70 m, current velocity is 0.3-0.4 m/sec, depth is 131-143 cm, dissolved oxygen is 6.6- 7.7 mg/L, pH 7.2-8.2, ammonia 0.005 mg/L, and phosphate 0.000 mg/L. In general, the water quality of Batetangnga river is still in suitable condition for fish cultivation.
