Abstract

Penatahan Village is one of the villages in Tabanan Regency that has a bright future and, if properly managed, has the potential to become a one-of-a-kind destination for the wider community to visit. The purpose from this dedication is to bring understanding of Branding to the community, namely the younger generation of Penatahan village, in the hopes of making it easier for the community to realize the various potentials that exist in Penatahan village in the future. Mr. Made Bayak was interviewed via direct observation in order to acquire knowledge regarding plasticology branding, which was then implemented in the Penatahan village community with a sample of pupils from SMP Negeri 2 Penebel. The results acquired after providing material on how to brand, SMPN 2 Penebel students can basically comprehend how or the first step to launch a product using media platforms such as social media (Instagram).

Abstract

Kalurahan Argosari, Sedayu, Bantul is strategically located because it connects three regencies, namely, Bantul, Kulon Progo, and Sleman. This strategic location needs to be balanced with sufficient knowledge and literacy for the community. This literacy ability is how an individual can process information and knowledge for life skills. Currently, the people in Argosari Village, Sedayu, Bantul are still faced with literacy and low interest in reading. Therefore, this community service program aims to improve the community's ability in the field of literacy and help reduce household waste through processing and reading aloud. The method used in training to read aloud is the stages of preparation, implementation, and after reading. The partners involved in this activity are the PKK group from Kalurahan Argosari, Sedayu, Bantul, DIY. The result of the activity is that increasing literacy can be started from the family consistently at home for 15 minutes every day by reading aloud. The impact of this activity is that the people who previously already had the provision of information became increasingly knowledgeable so that they had great potential to be applied in their respective homes.

Abstract

Ngenep Village is one of the villages in Karangploso District, Malang Regency which has abundant potential in the fields of plantations and agriculture. Most of the land in this village area is classified as fertile. Seeing this potential, we as implementers of the Malang State University Community Service Activities try to help develop the potential of Ngenep Village through community empowerment activities in the form of training on how to plant Family Medicinal Plants (TOGA). The service activity aims to improve the abilities and skills of the villagers of Ngenep in managing the TOGA garden. The method used in this activity is the method of lecture, demonstration, discussion and question and answer. The implementation of this activity begins with the lecture method, namely the delivery of TOGA material, then participants and presenters conduct discussions and ask questions about the material. After that, it was continued with demonstration activities on how to plant TOGA which was carried out on plantation land. After the implementation of this activity, it is hoped that the residents of Ngenep Village can gain a lot of knowledge about TOGA, so that they can develop a TOGA garden using appropriate management methods.

Abstract

Teachers in the regions need training and assistance, especially during the current Covid-19 pandemic. The Biology Subject Teacher Deliberation (MGMP) of Tanjung Jabung Timur Regency in collaboration with the Community Service Team of the Biology Education Study Program, Jambi University seeks to find solutions to several problems faced by teachers as partners by designing virtual practicum training and simple practicum. Service activities are carried out of increasing teacher knowledge regarding scientific literacy competencies in conditions with limited facilities and infrastructure. Through this training activity, it is expected to increase the creativity and innovation of teachers in carrying out practicums. The implementation of the service is designed online through several platforms, namely zoom meeting, WAG and google form. The Devotion Team made learning videos and virtual practicum guides and prepared materials that were distributed to participants via WAG. Furthermore, an online meeting was held through a zoom meeting for the delivery of learning contracts and materials. In general, the implementation of the activities went well. The participants were 20 people, consisting of high school teachers throughout Tanjung Jabung Timur Regency, and the Community Service Team. The activities are carried out through zoom and discussion via WAG. During the implementation via zoom, some participants experienced signal difficulties because the location of their residence/school was quite remote and difficult to access. Furthermore, participants provide weekly reports for invoices from this training activity and discuss actively through WAG.

Abstract

Augmented reality technology is often used for student learning media. The use of augmented reality technology is expected to increase the relatively few library visitors at SD Negeri 12 Jebus. Therefore, it is necessary to train library managers to use augmented reality to improve their competence. The tools used are smartphones and markers. training activities consist of material explanation, demonstration, and practice. The result is that participants can use augmented reality applications correctly according to the procedures in the usage module. Learning activities using augmented reality are expected to make students more interested in visiting the library.

Abstract

The main purpose of this community service activity with the theme of Optimizing Digital Entrepreneurship Through Digital Marketing Training for Private High School Students Sultan Agung Pematangsiantarini is to provide additional knowledge about the importance of using and utilizing digital marketing for business management to gain competitive competitiveness. The method used to implement this activity is through lectures and direct practice of using and creating e-commerce accounts. The stages of implementing this service include the opening and introduction of digital entrepreneurship, exposure to the introduction of digital entrepreneurship and competitiveness, presenting some of the problems students often face regarding digital marketing, and then continued with practices related to e-commerce. After the service activities were completed, a follow-up interview was conducted regarding the impact of implementing the service activities. Following the results of follow-up interviews, it is known that the changes that occurred after participating in the activity, namely understanding of the digital aspect of entrepreneurship and understanding related to the use of digital marketing increased by 80%.

Abstract

The modern era demands that business actors and micro-industry continue to monitor. This is done so that the business owned can continue to run and develop well. Micro-entrepreneurs as part of the development of future components of the economy, of course, need serious assistance in order to improve the quality of their production. The food business is an interesting branch of business and not many people have developed it, through service that is packaged in the form of community empowerment, it is expected to have an impact and benefit for mothers in the community to have the ability to produce pastries. This service is carried out in several stages which include planning, implementation, evaluation, and reporting. All stages were carried out well, stage (a) planning planning included the preparation of a service plan that took into account the results of the survey and needs analysis that had been carried out previously. (b) the implementation of the program that has been prepared in the next stage is carried out in advance at the location by implementing health, (c) evaluation is carried out with the implementation of the program that has been implemented both in good terms by supporting success and follow-up plans, and (d) reporting that includes the preparation of reports as an accountability program that has been implemented.

Abstract

The purpose of this community service activity is to hold marketing seminars to motivate and broaden MSME business owners to market their products through online marketing in order to restore the economy after the Covid-19 pandemic. The method in this community service activity is to conduct a field survey and analysis of needs related to the problems faced as well as survey questionnaires to seminar participants. The result of this marketing seminar activity is that most of the respondents have other businesses besides farming, some of which are engaged in the MSME sector. There are respondents who already have experience with online marketing, even though it is limited to whatsapp status, while others still do not have experience. The respondents were very interested in being taught and assisted in trying online marketing strategies. The respondents' impression of this marketing seminar was very good because the speakers who presented the material and provided assistance were not long-winded and easy to understand.

Abstract

Environmental health is an essential part of public health efforts. Interaction between humans and the environment could influence each other. One of the impacts has the emergence of health problems related to vectors, one of the vectors of the disease is known as mosquitoes. The purpose of the service is to increase capacity and strengthen the reporting system in applying the concept of "1 Home 1 Jumantik" of 89 jumantik health cadres. It started with a situation analysis and problem evaluation and continued with problem-solving and capacity building for health cadres. As a final activity, we created and designed an e-reporting using google-form and tested it in 3 pilot RWs at the Bintaro Health Center, South Jakarta. As a result, the skill competency of cadres was increased in using the e-reporting form for larva monitoring to support the movement “1 Home 1 Jumantik”. As we hope that health cadres could become agents of change to socialize the form to all household residents. However, some cadres still have problems using the application and reading the results. Evidence of refresher activities based on the objective score of knowledge among cadres showed an increase based on the pre-test scores from 64 and post-test to 90 (26%). In the current pandemic situation, the need for up-to-date and fast reporting including activating and implementing the "1R 1J Movement" is the right solution. Therefore, it's necessary to introduce the electronic technology-based reporting system support to health cadres and the community at the household level to become independent and engage to solve their health problems.

Abstract

This community service activity is an activity about using the Language Electronic Dictionary Application to learn English in EECC Pare English Village which has a purpose to socialize and to provide knowledge about the use and utilization of the Language Electronic Dictionary Application as an effective, fantastic and innovative learning medium in English language learning in EECC Pare English Village. The target audiences were the English tutors. The method which was used in this community service was the approach method, the implementation method which was consisted of the preliminary stage, the socialization and hearing stage, and the evaluation stage. The result of this community service showed that English tutors in EECC Pare English village could utilize and use the Electronic Language Dictionary application as an effective, fantastic and innovative English learning medium. In addition, this application media could be a motivation and very popular with learners who are learning English.
