Abstract

The aim of this research is to analyze the needs of students and teachers in learning through the PBL model of the Ethnobotany approach in class X biology subject Biodiversity material at SMA Negeri 1 Tempilang. from 2 biology teachers and 109 students. The results of the teacher questionnaire are 100% of teachers who have not used a scientific approach such as Etnoboani in the learning process. In the lesson process, 80% of teachers have used learning models but have not used a scientific approach. Some teachers have used hots questions but not yet. linking material with a scientific approach to hone students' high-level thinking skills. Based on the results of discussions regarding the questionnaire for analyzing the needs for teaching materials that relate to ethnobotany. The research results show that the teaching materials developed are effective in increasing students' understanding of biodiversity. The results of the concept understanding test showed a significant increase in students' average scores after using the teaching materials. Based on the research results, it can be concluded that the development of biodiversity teaching materials using an ethnobotany approach and PBL model can increase students' understanding of biodiversity through an ethnobotany approach to improve 21st century skills. abstrak. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk menganalisis kebutuhan siswa dan guru dalam pembelajaran melalui model PBL pendekatan Etnobotani pada mata pelajaran biologi kelas X materi Keanekaragaman hayati di SMA Negeri 1 Tempilang.kegiatan ini dilaksanakan di SMA Negeri 1 Tempilang Penelitian ini menggunakan penyebaran angket, sampel penelitian ini terdiri dari 2 orang guru biologi dan 109 siswa.Hasil dari angket guru 100% guru belum menggunakan pendekatan sains seperti Etnoboani dalam proses pembelajaran, Dalam proses pelajaran 80% guru sudah menggunakan model pembelajaran tetapi belum menggunakan pendekatan sains, Sebagian guru sudah menggunakan soal hots tetapi belum mengaitkan materi dengan pendekatan sain untuk mengasah keterampilan berpikir tingkat tinggi pada siswa, Berdasarkan hasil pembahasan mengenai angket analisis kebutuhan bahan ajar yang mengaitkan dengan etnobotani. Hasil riset membuktikan kalau materi didik yang dibesarkan efisien dalam tingkatkan pemahaman siswa tentang keanekaragaman hayati. Hasil tes pemahaman konsep menunjukkan peningkatan signifikan pada angka pada umumnya anak didik sehabis memakai bahan didik. Bersumber pada hasil riset, bisa disimpulkan kalau pengembangan bahan didik keanekaragaman hayati dengan pendekatan etnobotani dan model PBL dapat meningkatkan pemahaman siswa tentang keanekaragaman hayati melalui pendekatan etnobotani untuk meningkatkan keterampilan abad 21.

Abstract

The teaching materials used during the teaching and learning process do not suit the students' character, for example the material is very dense, the size is very thick, the images displayed are black and white so this affects learning motivation. The aim of the research is to see the validity, practicality and effectiveness of teaching materials in the form of leaflets. This type of research is R&D (Research and Development) which uses the 4D model (Define, Design, Development and Disseminate). The subjects used in this research were expert lecturers, teachers and tenth grade students of SMAN 3 Kerinci. The research results show that the content/material expert validation test got a score of 86.1% with valid criteria, the design expert got a score of 82.2% with the valid category and the language expert got a score of 91.43% with very valid criteria. Analysis of the results of the practicality test of the teacher's assumptions obtained a score of 95.56% with the very practical category, then the results of evaluating the students' assumptions received scores of 90, 63% and 91.17 with very practical criteria. Analysis of test data on the effectiveness of assessing student activities obtained scores of 90.23% and 92.16% with very efficient criteria. From the research results, it can be concluded that the design of this leaflet teaching material is valid, very practical and very efficient to be applied in Biology learning for class X students at SMAN 3 Kerinci. Key words: Teaching Materials, Leaflets, Biology abstrak. Bahan ajar yang digunakan pada saat proses belajar mengajar tidak menyesuaian dengan karakter siswa misalkan materi yang sangat padat, ukuranya sangat tebal, gambar yang ditampilkan hitam putih sehingga hal ini berpengaruh terhadap motivasi belajar. Tujuan Penelitian adalah ingin melihat validitas, praktikalitas, efektifitas bahan ajar berbentuk leaflet. Jenis Penelitian ini ialah R&D ( Research and Development) yang memakai model 4D (Define, Design, Development and Disseminate). Subjek yang digunakan dalam riset ini ialah dosen pakar, guru serta siswa kelas sepuluh SMAN 3 Kerinci. Hasil riset menampilkan kalau uji validasi pakar isi/materi mendapatkan skor 86,1% dengan kriteria valid, pakar desain mendapatkan skor 82,2% dengan kategori valid serta pakar bahasa mendapatkan skor 91, 43% dengan kriteria sangat valid. Analisis hasil uji coba kepraktisan asumsi guru diperoelh skor sebesar 95, 56% dengan kategori sangat praktis kemudian hasil evaluasi asumsi siswa mendapatkan skor 90, 63% dan 91,17 dengan kriteria sangat praktis. Analisis data uji keefektifan penilaian aktifitas siswa memperoleh score 90,23 % dan 92,16 % dengan kriteria sangat efisien. Dari hasil riset bisa disimpulkan jika desain bahan ajar leaflet ini valid, sangat praktis serta sangat efisien untuk diterapkan dalam pembelajaran Biologi siswa kelas X SMAN 3 Kerinci. Abstract

Differentiated learning allows educators to meet the learning needs of each student, such as interests, learning profiles, and student readiness in order to obtain optimal learning outcomes. The aim of this research was to describe the process of implementing differentiated learning in Biology subjects in class X Science. This research is qualitative research with the presentation of descriptive data such as writing, words and behavior that needs to be seen. This research was carried out in class X students at SMA N6 Metro. Research information was obtained from teachers as subjects and class X science students as objects. The differentiated learning implemented in class X at SMAN 6 Metro has had a positive impact on students and teachers. The differentiated learning that is applied is differentiated processes and products. Data collection techniques in this research are through interviews, document study and observation. The research results obtained state that the application of differentiated learning in driving schools in Metro City can be carried out through project learning or P5. Key words: Differentiated learning, needs, student activity. abstrak. Pembelajaran berdiferensiasi memungkinkan pendidik untuk memenuhi kebutuhan belajar tiap peserta didik, seperti minat, profil belajar, dan kesiapan peserta didik supaya memperoleh hasil belajar optimal. Tujuan dilaksanakan penelitian ini guna mendeskripsikan proses penerapan pembelajaran berdiferensiasi mata pelajaran Biologi di kelas X IPA. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian kualitatif dengan penyajian data deskriptif seperti tulisan, perkataan dan perilaku yang perlu dilihat. Penelitian ini diaksanakan dipeserta didik kelas X SMA N6 Metro. Informasi penelitian diperoleh dari guru sebagai subjek dan peserta didik kelas X IPA sebagai objek. Pembelajaran berdiferensiasi yang diterapkan di kelas X SMAN 6 Metro memberikan dampak positif untuk peserta didik dan guru. Pembelajaran berdiferensiasi yang diterapkan yaitu berdiferensiasi proses dan produk. Teknik pengumpulan data dalam penellitian ini melalui wawancara, studi dokumen dan observasi. Hasil penelitian yang didapatkan menyatakan bahwa penerapan pembelajaran berdiferensiasi di sekolah penggerak di Kota Metro bisa dilangsungkan melalui pembelajaran proyek atau P5. Kata kunci: Pembelajaran berdiferensiasi,kebutuhan,keaktifan peserta didik.

Abstract

Mycology is one of the courses in the Biology Education Study Program, FKIP, Jambi University. Based on the results of the needs analysis, one of the materials that was considered quite difficult was the Basidiomycota material. This difficulty is because the Basidiomycota material has many species, there are many terms, and there is a lack of teaching materials. Based on the results of the analysis, appropriate learning methods are needed and to maximize them, they are assisted by teaching materials. This research aims to determine the needs of lecturers and students for Case Study-based Basidiomycota Interactive E-Modules by Integrating QR Codes. This research is a qualitative descriptive study carried out at the Faculty of Teacher Training and Education, Jambi University from May to June 2023. The subjects of this research are lecturers who teach mycology courses and students of the Jambi University FKIP Biology Education Study Program who contract the Mycology course. Data was collected through distributing questionnaires in the form of Google forms and interviews. The results of the analysis of the needs of lecturers teaching mycology courses show that mycology learning is generally carried out using discussion methods assisted by media in the form of powerpoint (PPT). The results of the analysis of student needs indicate that Basidiomycota material is one of the materials that is difficult to study in mycology courses. It was concluded that lecturers and students need a Case Study-based Basidiomycota Interactive E-Module by integrating QR Code.Key words: Learning media, Learning methods, Mushrooms, Teaching materialsAbstrakMikologi merupakan salah satu mata kuliah di Program Studi Pendidikan Biologi FKIP Universitas Jambi. Berdasarkan hasil analisis kebutuhan, salah satu materi yang dianggap cukup sulit yaitu materi Basidiomycota. Kesulitan tersebut dikarenakan materi Basidiomycota memiliki banyak spesies, terdapat banyak istilah, dan kurangnya bahan ajar. Berdasarkan hasil analisis dibutuhkan metode pembelajaran yang sesuai dan untuk memaksimalkannya dibantu dengan bahan ajar. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui kebutuhan dosen dan mahasiswa terhadap E-Modul Interaktif Basidiomycota berbasis Case Study dengan Mengintegrasikan QR Code. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian deskriptif kualitatif yang dilaksanakan di Fakultas Keguruan dan Ilmu Pendidikan Universitas Jambi pada bulan Mei hingga Juni 2023. Subjek penelitian ini adalah dosen pengampu mata kuliah mikologi dan mahasiswa Program Studi Pendidikan Biologi FKIP Universitas Jambi yang mengontrak mata kuliah Mikologi. Data dikumpulkan melalui penyebaran angket berupa google form dan wawancara. Hasil analisis kebutuhan dosen pengampu mata kuliah mikologi diketahui bahwa pembelajaran mikologi umumnya dilaksanakan dengan menggunakan metode diskusi yang dibantu dengan media berupa powerpoint (PPT). Hasil analisis kebutuhan mahasiswa menyebutkan bahwa materi Basidiomycota merupakan salah satu materi yang sulit dipelajari pada mata kuliah mikologi. Abstract

Rice fields are one of the most important ecosystems because rice fields can produce staple food which is very important for humans. The condition of the rice fields in Ngabean Village, Secang District, is where many Orthoptera are found. The potential of the environment can be used as a learning resource, but currently it is still not optimal. The unidentification of Orthoptera in the rice fields of Ngabean Village, Secang District is something that has the potential to be developed. So it is necessary to identify the Orthoptera order in the rice fields in Ngabean Village, Secang District as a reference book. This research aims to determine the results of Orthoptera identification, the abiotic factors that influence it, and the feasibility of the biology reference book being developed. This research uses mixed method research which is divided into two stages, namely exploratory qualitative research and Research and Development (R&D) development research with the 4-D development model. However, this research only reached the third stage, namely develop. Data collection was carried out by Ortopthera exploration in the rice fields of Ngabean Village, Secang District. Analysis of the feasibility of reference books was carried out with validation from material experts and media experts. Apart from that, readability tests were carried out by entomology lecturers and students. The research results found 15 species of Orthopthera. The reference book developed as a learning resource for students obtained an average validation result of 69.63% which was included in the appropriate category. Apart from that, the percentage of readability of reference books by students was 87.99% in the high category. Abstrak. Sawah merupakan salah satu ekosistem terpenting karena sawah dapat menghasilkan bahan makanan pokok yang sangat penting bagi manusia. Kondisi persawahan di Desa Ngabean Kecamatan Secang banyak dijumpai Orthoptera. Potensi lingkungan dapat digunakan sebagai sumber belajar namun saat ini masih kurang maksimal. Belum diidentifikasinya Orthoptera di area persawahan Desa Ngabean Kecamatan Secang menjadi hal yang potensial dikembangkan. Sehingga diperlukan adanya identifikasi ordo Orthoptera area persawahan di Desa Ngabean Kecamatan Secang sebagai buku referensi. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui hasil identifikasi Orthoptera, faktor abiotik yang mempengaruhinya, dan kelayakan buku referensi biologi. Penelitian ini menggunakan penelitian mixed method yang terbagi menjadi dua tahap yaitu penelitian kualitatif jenis eksploratif dan penelitian pengembangan Research and Development (R&D) dengan model pengembangan 4-D. Namun pada penelitian ini hanya sampai tahap ketiga yaitu develop. Pengumpulan data dilakukan dengan eksplorasi Ortopthera di area persawahan Desa Ngabean Kecamatan Secang. Analisis kelayakan buku referensi dilakukan dengan validasi ahli materi dan ahli media. Selain itu, dilakukan uji keterbacaan oleh dosen entomologi dan mahasiswa. Hasil penelitian ditemukan 15 spesies Ortopthera. Buku referensi yang dikembangkan sebagai sumber belajar memperoleh hasil validasi rata-rata 69,63% dengan kategori layak. Persentase keterbacaan buku referensi oleh mahasiswa diperoleh hasil sebesar 87,99 % dengan kategori tinggi.

Abstract

Biology learning is abstract, universal, monotonous, and less relevant to everyday life, thus causing the learning process to become less meaningful. Meaningful learning is integrating learning to facts in everyday life and learns the meaning of science for life. In line with the demands of an independent curriculum, which expects a learning process that is contextual and touches on and answers local problems from the surrounding area, The solution that can answer this problem is a locally-based learning approach that is integrated into biology lessons. The purpose of this article is to examine the local wisdom of Naniura-Sashimi Batak in biology learning. The research method used is a literature study by reviewing national and international journals related to the Local Wisdom of Naniura-Sashimi Batak and its relationship to biology lessons. Integrate into learning by mapping community science and scientific science as well as relationships in biological material. abstrak. Pembelajaran biologi bersifat abstrak, universal, monoton, dan kurang relevan dengan kehidupan sehari-hari, sehingga menyebabkan proses pembelajaran menjadi kurang bermakna. Pembelajaran yang bermakna adalah mengintegrasikan pembelajaran dengan fakta-fakta dalam kehidupan sehari-hari dan mempelajari makna ilmu pengetahuan untuk kehidupan. Sejalan dengan tuntutan kurikulum mandiri, yang mengharapkan proses pembelajaran yang kontekstual dan menyentuh serta menjawab masalah-masalah lokal dari sekitar, Solusi yang dapat menjawab masalah ini adalah pendekatan pembelajaran berbasis lokal yang terintegrasi ke dalam pelajaran biologi. Tujuan dari artikel ini adalah untuk mengkaji kearifan lokal Naniura-Sashimi Batak dalam pembelajaran biologi. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah studi literatur dengan meninjau jurnal-jurnal nasional dan internasional yang terkait dengan Kearifan Lokal Naniura-Sashimi Batak dan hubungannya dengan pelajaran biologi. Terintegrasi dalam pembelajaran dengan memetakan ilmu komunitas dan ilmu sains serta hubungannya dalam materi biologi.

Abstract

The purpose of this study is to determine the effectiveness of local potential-based booklets on biodiversity material that has been developed previously. This research uses an experimental method. The form of research design used is a quasi-experimental design. This research was conducted at SMA Negeri 1 Sajingan with a research sample of X MIPA class students as many as 60 students each from the experimental and control classes. Based on the results of the study, it can be stated that the local potential-based booklet media developed is effective, this can be seen from the significant difference between the pretest and posttest results. This is evidenced by the acquisition of the Mann Whitney U test at a real level of 0.5 resulting in a significance figure of 0.005 And learning using booklet media has an effect of 55.4% with an Effect Size of 1.03 in the high category. Abstrak.Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui efektivitas booklet berbasis potensi lokal pada materi keanekaragaman hayati yang telah dikembangkan sebelumnya. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode eksperimen. Bentuk desain penelitian yang digunakan adalah eksperimen semu (Quasy Experimental Design). Penelitian ini dilaksanakan di SMA Negeri 1 Sajingan dengan sampel penelitian yaitu peserta didik kelas X MIPA sebanyak 60 siswa. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian maka dapat dinyatakan bahwa media booklet berbasis potensi lokal yang dikembangkan bersifat efektif, hal tersebut dapat dilihat dari perbedaan yang signifikan terhadap antara hasil pretest dan posttest.Hal ini dibuktikan dengan dari perolehan uji U Mann Whitney pada taraf nyata 0,5 menghasilkan angka signifikansi 0,00. Dan pembelajaran menggunakan media booklet memberikan pengaruh sebesar 55,4% dengan Effect Size 1,03 dalam kategori tinggi.

The objectives of this research are: 1) To determine the procedure for developing the STEM-based PraMetaVirLab (Virtual Laboratory Metabolism Practicum) application as a Biology Learning Media, 2) To determine the level of feasibility of the STEM-based PraMetaVirlab (Virtual Laboratory Metabolism Practicum) application as a Learning Media in Class XII SMA/ M.A. The test subjects in this research were students in class XII MIPA MA Raudlatus Shibyan. Data collection techniques through questionnaires, interviews and documentation. The sampling technique used is saturated sampling which is a type of non-probability sampling. The validation results from material experts obtained an assessment with an overall average percentage of 92.5% including the "Very Valid" category and an assessment from media experts with an overall average percentage of 89.964% "Very Valid" category. In the feasibility assessment by teachers, a percentage of 80% was obtained with the "Practical" category used by teachers, while the overall percentage obtained by students was 83.3% with the "Very Practical" category used by students. Thus, the STEM-based PraMetaVirLab (Virtual Laboratory Metabolism Practicum) application as a Biology Learning Media for class XII SMA/MA is practically used by teachers and students. Abstrak. Penelitian ini menggunakan jenis penelitian R&D (Research and Development) dengan model pengembangan 4D yang diadaptasi menjadi 3D (Define, Design, Develop). Tujuan penelitian ini adalah : 1) Untuk mengetahui prosedur pengembangan aplikasi PraMetaVirLab (Praktikum Metabolisme Virtual Laboratorium) Berbasis STEM Sebagai Media Pembelajaran Biologi, 2) Untuk mengetahui tingkat kelayakan aplikasi PraMetaVirlab (Praktikum Metabolisme Virtual Laboratorium) Berbasis STEM Sebagai Media Pembelajaran Pada Kelas XII SMA/MA. Subjek uj coba dalam penelitian ini adalah peserta didik kelas XII MIPA MA Raudlatus Shibyan. Teknik pengambilan data melalui angket, wawancara dan dokumentasi. Teknik sampling yang digunakan ialah sampling jenuh yang termasuk jenis non probability sampling.. Hasil validasi ahli materi memperoleh penilaian dengan rata-rata presentase keseluruhan sebesar 92,5% termasuk kategori “Sangat Valid” dan penilaian dari ahli media dengan rata-rata presentase keseluruhan sebesar 89,964% kategori “Sangat Valid”. Pada penilaian kelayakan oleh guru didapat presentase sejumlah 80%  dengan kategori “Praktis” digunakan oleh guru sedangkan oleh peserta didik diperoleh rata-rata presentase keseluruhan sebesar 83,3%  dengan kategori “Sangat Praktis” digunakan oleh peserta didik. Dengan demikian, aplikasi PraMetaVirLab (Praktikum Metabolisme Virtual Laboratorium) Berbasis STEM Sebagai Media Pembelajaran Biologi kelas XII SMA/MA praktis digunakan oleh guru dan peserta didik.
