Abstract

This research uses qualitative research. The data collection technique in this research is by conducting interviews, documentation and observations of class I (a) and I (b) teachers as well as accompanying teachers for children with special needs and school principals. The research was conducted to find out how the mechanism of curriculum and evaluation regarding language/communication difficulties and learning difficulties in mathematics. The method given by the teacher to children with special needs who have language/communication difficulties is the same as other students as well as students who have difficulty learning mathematics. The assessments are given both in terms of academic and non-academic. Assessments are made for children with special needs to see the child's initial abilities, after which the PPI program is made. And in the evaluation process the teacher will review every observation made when students face other difficulties. The conclusions obtained by the researcher are, the curriculum applied by SDN Sukasari 5 Tangerang City is a regular curriculum with a modification of the PPI program. The assessment is carried out before the acceptance of students in the new school year with indications that have been notified to the teacher from the students' parents.

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to obtain information about the role of classroom teachers and special assistant teachers in dealing with students with autism disorders in elementary schools. As well as to describe the characteristics of children with autism and how the active role of parents and teachers in improving communication skills and social interaction of children with autism. This study used a qualitative approach with descriptive techniques. Data was collected using observation, interview, and documentation techniques. This research uses data analysis model of Miles and Huberman, where the researcher conducts data collection, data reduction, data presentation and data verification. Checking the validity of the data using data triangulation which is done by combining and comparing data from observations with data from interviews and documentation. The data obtained were analyzed by descriptive qualitative data analysis techniques and using triangulation techniques to check the validity of the data. The results of this study indicate that there is a significant relationship between the active role of parents and school teachers in improving children's communication and social interaction skills. What is very important given to children is the acceptance of parents towards children and the social support provided by parents and teachers in the environment around children. The conclusion of this study is that children with autism require very complex treatment and require the participation and active role of parents and teachers in many matters related to the development of communication and social interaction of children.

Abstract

This study aims to describe the role of teachers during the implementation of learning during the Covid-19 pandemic. This research uses qualitative research methods with a type of case study approach intended to accurately explain a particular individual phenomenon or characteristic, situation or group that occurs. The subject on this study was class III Teachers. Taknik data collection uses observation with 2 sources, namely teachers and students, interviews with 3 sources, namely principals, teachers, and students and using document studies. In this case, researchers conduct interviews to find out some indicators of the role of teachers, (1) Teachers as educators and teachers, here teachers play a role in providing a material to students with easy-to-understand language; (2) teachers as mediators or learning resources and facilitators, here teachers play a role in providing a way out in student learning activities that usually use package books in the delivery of materials; (3) teachers as models and role models, teachers play a role by setting a good example to their students; (4) teachers as motivators, teachers act as student encouragement in order to improve the development of student learning activities; (5) teachers as mentors and evaluators, teachers play a role to guide students to be able to determine the various potentials they have as student provisions.
