Abstract

This study aims to prove the research model about the relationship between customer satisfaction, revisit intention and words of mouth. The literature review used begins with marketing management, then the dynamics between the variables raised. The research method chosen is a quantitative approach; the object of this research is at the Hunimua-Waipirit port, Maluku, Indonesia, and with a research sample of 75 people, then analyzed using SMART PLS. The results obtained indicate that customer satisfaction, words of mouth and revisit intention are related to one another. Customer satisfaction will affect revisit intention, customer satisfaction will affect words of mouth, and words of mouth affect revisit intention.

Abstract

With a strong domination of the Millennials generation in the workforce, they become one of the key holders in the success of the organisation and the economy. Their behaviour of working short tenure and job-hop worries many organisations as this halt the organisations’ growth, performance and productivity while also incurring extra costs. Banking sector is known to have a high turnover rate and has been lacking in the number of talents which delays their implementation on key strategic initiatives. It becomes important to study the factor influencing the Millennials turnover rate. This study aims to measure the influence of Career Development (CD), Work-family Conflict (WFC), and Job Satisfaction (JS) on Millennials Turnover Intention (TI) in Indonesia’s banking industry. A quantitative research is conducted among Indonesia's Millennials banking employees and data were analysed using PLS-SEM. The result shows that Work-family Conflict has a significant positive direct impact on Turnover Intention. Job Satisfaction is also observed to have a significant negative direct impact towards Turnover Intention. Interestingly, Career Development has no direct significant impact on Turnover Intention unless it is mediated by Job Satisfaction. However, Work-family Conflict has no effect on Turnover Intention if it is mediated by Job Satisfaction. Additionally, this research provides academic and practical implications on how to manage these Millennials to reduce Turnover Intention in the banking industry which could lead to an actual turnover.

Abstract

Perceived Usefulness (PU) and Perceived Ease of Use (PEU) are factors that can affecting Behavioural Intention (BI) in the Technology Acceptance Model (TAM). This study aims to determine the effect of PU and PEU on BI of PT XYZ users. This research is a non-experimental study using quantitative methods and a random sampling technique. Data were collected through a questionnaire and processed using Statistical Product and Service Solution (SPSS) with a version of 22.00. There were 80 participants in the research, divided into 58 participants who were PT XYZ users and 22 other participants who had never used PT XYZ. The results showed that there was a significant effect of PU and PEU on BI with a value of F = 95.483, R2 = 0.713, and p = 0.000 < 0.05. The contribution of PU and PEU to PEU was 71.3%. Then, partially PU contributed 62.4% and PEU contributed 68.9% to BI. Thus, it can be concluded that for PT XYZ users, the effect of PEU is greater than PU.

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to determine the extent to which human resource management contributes to employee retention. This study refers to concepts related to human resource management and several studies that show the factors influenced by employee retention. This research approach is quantitative, with the research subjects are employees who work in the sea crossing business. Based on the research results on marine employees of the company, the managerial implications intended for companies engaged in sea crossing services are that there is an influence of placement, compensation, and corporate culture variables on employee retention, which has a positive and significant effect. From the research results, corporate culture is not a moderator of placement and compensation variables on retention, so companies need to re-assure other variables that strongly influence the weak relationship between variables that can increase employee retention.
