Abstract

The purpose of this study was to describe: (1) the amount of contribution of the principal's leadership on the achievment of Public Elementary School Teachers in Alalak Cluster, North Banjarmasin Subdistrict; (2) the amount of contribution of Teacher work motivation on the work achievment of  Public Elementary School Teachers in Alalak Cluster, North Banjarmasin Subdistrict (3) the amount of contribution of the teacher?s work environment on the work achievment Public Elementary School Teachers in Alalak Cluster, North Banjarmasin Subdistrict; (4) the amount of contribution of the principals' leadership, motivation and work environment simultaneously on the work performance of Public Elementary School Teachers in Alalak Cluster, North Banjarmasin SubdistrictThe study uses a quantitative approach with descriptive and linear regression analysis. The population in this study were all elementary school teachers in the Alalak Cluster in North Banjarmasin Subdistrict. The sample used was 104 teachers. Data collection techniques used were questionnaire and observation techniques. While the data analysis technique uses statistical tests, regression analysis and F test.The results showed that: (1) Principal leadership made an effective contribution of 31,5% on teacher work achievment, (2) Work motivation provided an effective contribution of 40% on the work achievment of teachers in SDN North Banjarmasin Subdistrict , (3) Teacher's work environment made an effective contribution of 34,4%, on the work achievment of teachers in Public Elementary School in North Banjarmasin Subdistrict (4) Principal leadership, Motivation of teacher work and Teacher's work environment simultaneously contributed 50% to the work achievment of Public Elementary School Teachers in Alalak Cluster, North Banjarmasin SubdistrictIt is recommended to parties involved in the world of education such as principals, teachers, supervisors, heads of office, should always improve the quality of their work performance so that educational goals can be achieved easily.

Abstract

This study aims to: (1) Describe the role of the principal, teacher work motivation, teacher job satisfaction and teacher performance, (2) Analyze the direct relationship between the role of the principal and teacher performance, (3) Analyze the relationship directly between teacher work motivation and teacher performance, (4) Analyzing the direct relationship between job satisfaction and teacher performance, (5) Analyzing the direct relationship between the role of the principal and motivation, (6) Analyzing the direct relationship between the role of the principal and job satisfaction, (7) Analyzing the indirect relationship between the role of the principal and teacher performance through teacher work motivation, (8) Analyzing the indirect relationship between the role of the principal and teacher performance through the variable job satisfaction. This research was conducted in Kandangan sub-district using quantitative approaches and descriptive methods. The research sample was 176 people. The instruments of data collection are questionnaires that have met the validity and reliability test requirements. Analysis of data to test hypotheses using path analysis with multiple regression methods. The results showed that: (1) Role of Principals, Work motivation and job satisfaction in Public Elementary Schools in Kandangan Subdistrict are very high classifications, while the performance of Public Elementary School teachers is Kandangan Subdistrict is in a high classification, (2) There is a relationship between the Principal's Role and the performance of State Elementary School teachers in Kandangan Subdistrict by 0,328. (3) There is a relationship between work motivation and the performance of state elementary school teachers in Kandangan subdistrict by 0,974. (4) There is a relationship between job satisfaction and the performance of State Elementary School teachers in Kandangan Subdistrict by 0,486, (5) There is a relationship between the role of the principal and the work motivation of Public Primary School teachers in Kandangan Subdistrict by 0,919, (6) the role of the school principal with the work satisfaction of state elementary school teachers in Kandangan subdistrict by 0.927, (7) There is an indirect relationship between the role of the principal and the teacher's performance through the work motivation of state elementary school teachers in Kandangan subdistrict by 0.895. (8) There is an indirect relationship between the Role of the Principal and the teacher's performance through the work satisfaction of State Primary School teachers in Kandangan Sub-district by 0.450.

Abstract

The purpose of the research is to know the Principal?s supervision contribution and work motivation toward the teachers performance at public of Senior High School at Barito Kuala, District. The research population is publicteachers at public  Senior High School in Barito Kuala, District, as much as 227 teachers. And, to take a sample it?s used Probability Sampling with Simple Random Sampling technique by determining sample to each school in a proportional manner and found  as much as 145 teachers.  For data collection is conducted by questionnaire. And the questionnaire validity trial is conducted by corrected item -  Total correlation. Reliability trial is using Cronbach?s Alpha (a). Data Analysis is taking simple regression and double technique. The data?s outcomes are: (1) significantly, there is  the Principal?s supervision contribution toward teachers performance at Senior High School in Barito Kuala, with determination value 66,1%; (2) There is a work motivation contribution towards teachers performance at public of Senior High School in Barito Kuala, significantly with determination value 65,6%; (3) And so, with significantly there is a Principal?s supervision contribution and work motivation toward teachers performance at Public of Senior High School in Barito Kuala District, in the manner of determination value 74,8%

Abstract

The existence of bilingual junior high schools is very limited, government schools are at the state high school of Paringin 4 and non government schools are one of them, Middle School Al Mazaya of Banjarmasin. The purpose of the study is to get an overview of: Planning, implementing, evaluating, following up and constraining the bilingual program in the school. This research is a qualitative descriptive study with a case study approach. The Conclusion: First, the school runs a plan in accordance with the Leading function, the plan is in accordance with the school's objectives. Second, private schools have the freedom to implement the program. Third, evaluation of bilingual schools has the same goals and patterns, differences in frequency of evaluation. Fourth, the follow-up of the program is to establish a bilingual high school. Fifth, the constraints of bilingual schools are not all students can follow bilingualism well. Suggestion: Relevant educational agencies should provide opportunities for teachers to participate in international linguistic forums, Principals should develop a language certification program for teachers and staff, teachers always develop themselves in terms of language, further researchers to focus on one aspect of management.

Abstract

The purpose of this research was to determine the relationship between chemistry Teacher Deliberation (MGMP) activities and academic supervision with performance assessment (PKG). It uses a quantitative approach with descriptive methods and correlation techniques. Data were obtained from a sample of 54 chemistry teachers from all Senior High School in Banjarmasin using a questionnaire that tested for validity and reliability. Data were analyzed to determine the relationship between variables using Pearson product-moment and multiple correlations. The results showed there was a positive relationship between MGMP chemistry activities and performance assessment. There was also a positive relationship between academic supervision and performance assessment, as well as between MGMP activities and academic supervision with performance assessment. There is a need for learning to shift from the teacher to the student center as an implication of adopting the 2013 curriculum.

Abstract

Learning activities cannot be carried out with optimum results in case teachers have professional competence. Academic supervision by the school principals and professional learning community activities are two of the efforts which are conducted to improve teachers? professionalism competence in Indonesia, especially in kindergarten level. This study aims at finding out the effect of school principal supervision and participation of the kindergarten teachers in Teacher Working Group (TWG), a kind of professional learning community, towards the kindergarten teachers? professional competence. There were 57 kindergarten teachers involved in this study. Data of the study were collected through questionnaire. The collected data from the result of the questionnaire were analyzed using multiple regression statistical analysis. Statistically, the results of the study show that academic supervision of quality achievement conducted by the school principals and teachers? participation in TWG have a significant effect on teachers? professional competence. For this reason, the following suggestions are made: (1) It is necessary for teachers to develop a positive mindset about the benefits of academic supervision; (2) teachers also need to actively participate in TWG activities; and (3) school principals needs to be closer to teachers.

Abstract

The purpose of this study is to describe the leadership style of the Principal of Banjarmasin 5 Vocational High School in empowering educators. This is descriptive research. The data collection techniques were triangulation and included interviews, observation, and documentation. The results of this research showed applied leadership style is participative, as evidenced by the involvement of all school members in key aspects such as the school program, joint decision, personal selection and delegation of authority, information disclosure, and communication. The results of this research might be used as a basis for applying leadership styles in other schools.
