Abstract

The research objective was to determine arsenic by anodic stripping technique of differential pulse voltammetry to see the effect of the arsenic bismuth films with the potential scan direction opposite to the research that has been done by Nagaosa, et al though there are no reports on the mechanism chemical reaction between arsenic clear with movies bismuth until now. The purpose of this research is to study the effect of bismuth films in the determination of arsenic. In this study, the addition of bismuth ions with a concentration of 200 ppb. Voltammograms can be seen from quite a significant difference between the peak current generated by As (III) films coated with a non-bismuth bismuth films. Visible peak current of As (III) is higher if the addition of bismuth films. This proves the statement Nagaosa, et al who stated that there are mixed effects of bismuth in the determination of As (III) although the mechanism remains unclear.Keyword: film bismuth, arcenic, differential pulse, anodic, stripping voltammetry

Abstract

Increasing uses of chemicals in the laboratory result of waste substances increased. If those wastes are not carefully managed , various pollutions in the environment will occur. The research deals with the use of a simple filtering for laboratory type liquid waste before disposal. This study took the wastewater IAIN Batusangkar chemical laboratory as the object of research. The tools used to measure the concentration of waste are pH meters and TDS meters, with waste analysis before filtering are color: orange, temperature: 25.5°C, pH: 3.1, TDS (dissolved solids): 11.16, Salt (salinity level ): 8.38, COND: 16.78 mS and a waste volume of 300 ml filtered using simple tools and materials, tools with a height of 23 cm and supported with such materials as sponges, wood charcoal, sand, gravel, coconut fiber, cotton, small stone, with a height of each material in the tool that is 3.5 cm. The results shows that the simple filtering instrument for laboratory waste worked quite well, with a one-time analysis of waste where the results are as follow color: clear, temperature: 25.3°C, pH: 6.2, TDS: 13.23, SALD: 9.93, COND: 19.88 mS, volume of waste: 150 ml. It can be concluded that filtering is successfully filtered waste is approaching the normal pH of pure water that is 7.

Abstract

The black sticky tapai/ Tapai ketan hitam in Batusangkar, made by fermentating black sticky rice and yeast. The fermentation of black sticky tapai take several days to produce a sweet taste. This process may some assumption that the sweetness in black sticky tapai comes from alcohol as a result of sticky rice fermentation reaction with yeast. As the time of fermentation increases alcohol content, this raises doubt the halalness of black sticky tapai, because based on MUI Fatwa Number.4 in 2003 says the drinks containing ethanol (C2H5OH) more than one persen are categorized haram. Because of that, need some research to see the impact of duration fermentation to alcohol concentration on black sticky tapai in Batusangkar city. The reaserch data was obtained by distillation from various duration of fermentation. The result data were analyzed by product moment correlation test (? = 5%). Base on the research conducted, obtained information that in black sticky tapai contain etanol which has increased alcohol concentration along with the increase of fermentation duration. However, it becomes contradictory with the result of analysis where Y = 3,635 - 15,54 X, t arithmetic ? t table, that is 0,16 ? 3,18. This conclusions that there is no relationship between duration of fermentation with alcohol concentration.

Abstract

Biscuits Feed Forage is obtained by the technique Silage. These biscuits can be made from agricultural waste including corn waste. As one of the agricultural centers in West Sumatra, corn production in the District Batusangkar very high. However, agricultural production is not followed by the management of agricultural waste are mostly just burned. The purpose of the study was to test to make biscuits forage from corn waste using techniques silage accompanied with the addition of nutrients, the test mold making biscuits conventionally made using the technique of pressure, conducting organoleptic test and analysis proximate to product biscuit feed forage already made. The results were obtained from waste animal feed forage of good quality corn silage by using the technique. treatment P2 (corn leaves 1 kg + 5% + molasses urea 10%) and T1 (1minggu after harvest). Green feed made with the best formula is packaged in the form of biscuits using conventional printing equipment.

Abstract

Rice and vegetables are the most of agriculture in West Sumatera. These are of environment media that needs reaserched to know how far the radioactivity level. This was done at environment laboratory of PTKMR-BATAN. Step of reaserch has been done as follow determining the location and take the samples, cultivating the samples in laboratory, measuring the samples with LBC and samples analysis. From the result of measurement it shown that the lowest concentrate could be measured by LBC device that was 0,093 mBq/Kg. Sr-90 concentrate into the result of reaserch shown the data with variation from undetected data (0,4749 ± 1,1422)mBq/Kg. Activity concentration Sr-90 which was found in the plants of agriculture result in West Sumatera land are the low than Java island area and lower than found in Japan.Key words: environment media, radioactivity level, LBC.

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to test the quality of drinking water in the district refill Batusanggkar The Limo. Because of the tendency found in water use rechargeable (AMIU) by society, especially in urban areas, especially cities Batusanggkar increasing. However, the quality still needs to be studied in order to secure the quality of drinking water that directly affect public health, the course of a study of drinking water quality testing that has been done in District Batusangkar The limo showed that 9.1% of drinking water depots produce drinking water quality does not meet the requirements biological parameters (microbiological) that has been set by the government through Permenkes. 492 of 2010 on drinking water quality requirements, while for Physical parameters (temperature) and chemical parameters (pH) has met the requirements of the government.Key words: drinking water, Escherichia coli , temperature, ph
