Abstract

It is appropriate if activities such as the publication of archaeological research results, exhibitions, scientific meetings, or other forms of publication are categorized as "socialization" results of archaeological research. Basically, these activities are an effort to inform the results of archaeological research to the public. But of course the goal is not just to provide information regardless of whether the effect is as expected and planned. Meanwhile information becomes operational through communication. Therefore it is important to view and place the socialization results of archaeological research within the framework of the principles of communication.

Abstract

In its long journey, archeology as a science has long since left artifact-oriented studies (including features and ecofacts) oriented. The three of them are no longer seen as individual data that must be studied individually, but are seen as part of the overall archaeological data in a certain spatial scale. This does not mean that artifacts, features, ecofacts, no longer need to be studied individually, but this study is the beginning of the totality of archaeological research. Furthermore, it is developed, by taking into account the matrix, location and context, it is also necessary to pay attention to environmental and spatial conditions at a certain scale: from micro to regional, or more broadly.

Abstract

Literature (philology) is one of the important textual data. Apart from containing historical information, it also contains information about the king, the government, life in the palace, and the life of the people. It also contains the information about iconography of both gods and goddesses in Hinduism. This means with certain treatment of literary works, the life aspects of Old Javanese people can be understood. In this regard, this short article is intended to describe the figure of Dewa Indra, based on a study of several Old Javanese literary works. Dewa Indra known as one of the Loka Pala gods as inscribed on the Civa Temple, Prambanan. It is hoped that a picture from the other side of Dewa Indra can be revealed, which in turn can also reveal the tendency of the poets to present the figure of Dewa Indra.
