Abstract

One form of efficiency that can be done by palm oil mill companies so that production targets are achieved is to reduce the number of oil losses or loss of oil in the process of making their products, in this case, are CPO and PKO. This is because the lower the amount of oil losses, the higher the CPO and PKO that will be produced. This study aims to analyze oil losses in the processing of Palm Kernel Oil or PKO with the seven tools method. Data collection techniques in this study used case studies based on literature studies and field studies. Data were analyzed descriptively qualitatively. The conclusion of this research is the analysis of oil losses in the process of making palm kernel oil using check sheets and histograms, the data obtained shows high oil losses in the company PT. XYZ with an average of 8.92% for 4 months, so it is necessary to make improvements that at improving the quality of good palm kernel oil (PKO). Analysis of PKO oil losses at PT. XYZ is also performed using a cause-and-effect diagram. This aims to identify the causes of oil loss which include raw materials, human resources (HR), machinery, and the environment in order to fulfill the oil loss standard designed by the company, which is less than 8.00%, and also prevent high oil losses. which may happen again in the future.

Abstract

ABSTRACT This study aims to analyze the factors that influence the level of work accidents at the palm oil mill of PT. ABC and test the effectiveness of the Job Safety Analysis method in reducing the risk of work accidents in factories. Through observation, identification, risk analysis, as well as interviews and discussions, this study found that human factors, work environment factors, and tool and machine factors influence the rate of work accidents in factories. The results also show that the Job Safety Analysis method can be effective in reducing the risk of work accidents at the PT. ABC. These findings make an important contribution to companies and society in improving work safety in factories and show the importance of using the Job Safety Analysis method to reduce the risk of work accidents. Keywords: Job Safety Analysis, Occupational Health and Safety, Palm oil mill ABSTRAK Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis faktor-faktor yang mempengaruhi tingkat kecelakaan kerja di pabrik minyak kelapa sawit PT. PQRS dan menguji efektivitas metode Job Safety Analysis dalam mengurangi risiko kecelakaan kerja di pabrik. Melalui observasi, identifikasi, analisis risiko, serta wawancara dan diskusi, penelitian ini menemukan bahwa faktor manusia, faktor lingkungan kerja, dan faktor alat dan mesin mempengaruhi tingkat kecelakaan kerja di pabrik. Hasil penelitian juga menunjukkan bahwa metode Job Safety Analysis dapat efektif dalam mengurangi risiko kecelakaan kerja di pabrik minyak kelapa sawit PT. ABC. Temuan ini memberikan kontribusi penting bagi perusahaan dan masyarakat dalam meningkatkan keselamatan kerja di pabrik dan menunjukkan pentingnya penggunaan metode Job Safety Analysis untuk mengurangi risiko kecelakaan kerja. Abstract

Nata de coco is a product resulting from a fermentation process from coconut water with the help of Acetobacter xylinum. To increase the functional value and taste of nata de coco, you can add red dragon fruit extract. This study aims to evaluate the chemical and sensory properties of nata de coco which did not have dragon fruit extract added (P0) and nata de coco which had dragon fruit extract added (P1). Parameters for observing chemical properties include water content, protein, vitamin C and fiber. Sensory evaluation was carried out using a hedonic test using 30 panelists, the parameters observed were aroma, texture, taste and color. Based on the results of the evaluation of the chemical and sensory properties of nata de coco to which dragon fruit extract was added, it can be concluded that the addition of dragon fruit extract can increase protein levels (1.57%) and vitamin C (0.25%), and reduce water content (93.16%) and fiber content (1.20%). Meanwhile, the hedonic test showed that the panelists preferred the texture, aroma and taste parameters of nata de coco without adding dragon fruit extract. In terms of color parameters, panelists preferred nata de coco with added dragon fruit extract.
