Abstract

Increasing in the incidence of diabetic foot ulcer (DFU) among diabetes mellitus patients (DM), which then access to health services is so far, as well as the lack of knowledge of the local community in preventing and caring for DFU made researchers try to initiate training related to prevention and basic wound care for village health cadres, community leaders, and families family members with DM and at risk for UKD. The activity, which carried out in March 2021, involved the puskesmas in Sui District. Raya, Kab. Kubu Raya. After obtained a permit to carry out activities, the Team briefly contacted the community with the assistance of the Head of RT and RW. Participants who toke part in this activity were those who lived or have a family with diabetes mellitus. Participants were given training related to prevention and treatment of basic wounds, which in the end evaluation followed by publication.

Abstract

Diabetes Mellitus (DM) is a non-communicable disease whose prevalence is increasing every year in the world, including in Indonesia. DM patients are very susceptible to ulcers caused by uncontrolled blood sugar due to the wrong diet. The low level of knowledge related to eating patterns is a problem that must be addressed so that the incidence can be suppressed. In this case, education is needed to increase the understanding of patients and families in terms of eating patterns. The right diet or eating pattern will certainly be one aspect in improving the quality of life of type 2 DM patients. The purpose of this activity is to increase knowledge, especially in the right diet in type 2 DM patients, it is hoped that it can improve the quality of life of type 2 DM patients by controlling blood sugar due to a good diet. The method used is to provide counseling with lecture, discussion and question and answer methods. The targets of this community service program are patients suffering from type 2 DM and their families in Sungai Ambangah village, Kubu Raya district. The results of this activity indicate that the effectiveness of counseling has an effect on increasing knowledge of type 2 DM patients and their families. This can be seen from the evaluation results that people with type 2 DM and their families understand the right diet for people with DM.

Abstract

The number of diabetic foot ulcer (DFU) sufferers increases from year to year. Many studies have been conducted to examine the appropriate therapy to overcome DFU. One type of therapy that has been widely studied is related to the use of herbal products in treating DFU. So that currently there are many scientific articles that inform about the efficacy of herbal products in accelerating wound healing both acute and chronic. The activity aimed to socialize the use of herbal products in the treatment of foot ulceration. This activity was carried out in February 2022 in collaboration with the Public Health Center of Sungai Raya District as a health service that oversees the location of the activity. The target population in this activity are those who have a history of diabetes mellitus or diabetic foot ulcers or have a family with diabetic foot ulcers. Participants who participated were given health education about the management of diabetic foot wounds and the use of herbal products in the treatment of diabetic foot wounds.

Abstract

There is an increase in diabetic complications every year, therefore prevention is prioritized before complications such as diabetic foot ulcers occur. Many studies have been conducted related to the prevention of diabetic foot ulcers with Buerger Allen exercise which has a significant impact on improving peripheral circulation. The activity aimed to socialize the prevention of diabetic foot ulcers with Buerger Allen exercise. This activity was carried out in March 2021 in collaboration with the Public Health Center of Sungai Raya District as a health service that oversees the location of the activity. The target population in this activity are those who have a history of diabetes mellitus or diabetic foot ulcers or have a family with diabetic foot ulcers. The participants were given knowledge about preventing diabetic foot ulcers by means of the Buerger Allen exercise.

Abstract

DM cases in the world are still very high, where an increase is reported, in 2019 there were 463 million to 537 million people in 2021. Several cases of DM patients and even those who have experienced complications of diabetic foot ulcers have been found based on reports from the Sungai Ambangah village. This should be a concern, not only taking action on patients who have experienced complications, because preventive measures must also be a priority to be carried out, so that no more people experience DM. Therefore, to increase awareness of the importance of improving lifestyle in order to avoid DM disease, early detection is needed. One of them can be by utilizing an android application (Si Manis)

Abstract

Numeracy learning in SD Muhammadiyah 2 Waru Sidoarjo still uses conventional method, namely by using lectures and manual practice questions. In the current technological era, android-based learning is needed in accordance with the times so that learning numeracy feels more fun for students. In fact, playing games on gadgets will be more fun than learning at conventional schools. Therefore, the introduction of more modern numeracy media through android-based learning can increase student interest through indirect learning. According to the survey, as many as 50% of students at SD Muhammadiyah 2 Waru Sidoarjo do not like numeracy because many factors include the difficulty of understanding manual calculations. The purpose of this activity is to introduce numeracy learning that is more fun through android-based numeracy media. The method used in the introduction of android-based numeration media is a quantitative method by taking a sample of students at SD Muhamadiyah 2 Waru Sidoarjo as many as 15 students consisting of grades 1, 2, and 3. The introduction of android-based numeracy learning is done by providing knowledge to students and introducing Android-based numeracy applications. The results obtained from this dedication are that students know the android-baesd numeration application and students are more interests in learning numeracy which is more fun as well as games found on gadgets.

Abstract

The discovery of problems related to health status was the beginning of the idea to carry out activities with the basic theme "Semiloka on Assessment of Complications of Diabetes Mellitus in Pontianak, Kalimantan Barat Pontianak City. The program aimed to increase knowledge and skills of participants in assesing and preventing the risk of diabetic foot ulcer (DFU). The program consist of providing education about early detection and prevention of DFU, then followed by the practice of detecting and carrying out nursing actions to prevent the occurrence of DFU by participants. Most of the participants were aged 56-65 years 15 (50%), female sex 19 (63%), last education was high school 15 (50%), housewife work 13 (43.33%), the majority had DM < 10 years 23 (76.67%), and normal sensation 23 (76.67%). Participants took part in the activity from start to finish, and participants were able to apply a risk assessment for the occurrence of DFU.
