Abstract

Effectiveness is a state that shows the success or failure of management activities in achieving goals. While communication is a process of delivering messages by the communicator to the communicant through the media that causes certain consequences. There are many types of messages or information delivered by an organization to the public, so the delivery requires adequate channels, both in terms of time, target public and its activities. One of the media commonly used by organizations to communicate to the public is through mass media, namely newspapers through the advetorial column. Likewise, the Kampar District Government used the Riau Pos newspaper as a medium of communication with the community. In line with the function of the mass media, one of which runs social control in the community. The purpose of this research is to find out how much the effectiveness of the advertorial government of Kampar Regency in the Riau Pos Newspaper in the audience of Bangkinang Kota. This research used quantitative research methods, with data collection techniques, namely through the distribution of questionnaire sheets to readers or customers of Riau Pos Newspapers with a sample size of 96 which is determined through random sampling techniques. Data analysis techniques in this research used descriptive statistical techniques.The results of this research indicate that the level of Advertorial Effectiveness of Kampar District Government in the Newspaper of Riau Post in the reader audience Kecamatan Bangkinang Kota is classified as effective. This can be seen from the results of data processing based on six indicators, each indicator reaching a scale of 3.13 on the receiver indicator, a scale of 2.94 on the message content indicator, a scale of 3.25 on the channel indicator ( media), a scale of 2.99 in the format indicator, a scale of 2.96 in the indicator of the source of the message (source), and a scale of 2.97 in the indicator of timeliness. So that the conclusion obtained by using the average formula of all indicators is 2.54 which is included in the effective range. This shows that the Government of Kampar Regency Advertorial in Riau Pos Newspaper is an effective medium for the Government's communication facilities to the public.  Keyword: Effectiveness communication, Advertorial, and Riau

Abstract

General Election Comission (KPU) calculation is an electronic vote acquisition (e-recap) recapitulation activity as a temporary data for comparison of official results by the KPU which continues to use manual and tiered recapitulation in accordance with the mandate of the Act. However, with the existence of Situng the public can find out the provisional results and also as a means of control for election organizers and the public, so there is no recapitulation fraud at the District Election Committee (PPK), district / city, and provincial levels.The purpose of this research was to know the communication evaluation result of the Situng KPU website providing information on the result of the 2019 elections. The people of Pekanbaru were chosen because of the highest population density in Riau Province. In terms of supporting facilities and infrastructure, the people of Pekanbaru City can easily get information quickly through the media, especially online media               This research uses quantitative research methods with data collection techniques through the distribution of questionnaires through the internet and directly to 96 respondents based on probability sample techniques. Data analysis techniques in this study use descriptive statistical techniques.And also using calculations through SPSS software version 21.0        The results of this research state that the Situng KPU website is effective as a result of the 2019 Election with the accumulated value of the effectiveness of the SUTUNG KPU. Measuring the scale of the communication effectiveness of the "Election Commission's Information Counting Information System" website uses the variable effectiveness of Hardjana Andre's communication consisting of six indicator. The value obtained by the user indicator (receiver or user) is 2.93 and enter the effective scale, the value of the message content indicator is 2.76 and enter the effective scale, the value obtained by the communication media (media) is 3.13 which means effective, the value for the format of the message (format) is 3 that fall into the effective category, the value of the message source (source) is 2.58 and belongs to the effective category and the last value for the timekeeping indicator is 3.16 which means effective.Keyword : Effectiveness communication, Website Situng, and General Election Comission(KPU)

Abstract

Kitabisa.com is a foundation engaged in the social field. Kitabisa.com is a platform to raise funds and donate online (crowdfunding). Kitabisa.com has a variety of features that are more complete than on the website crowdfunding its competitors. Crowdfunding is crowd funding from the community or can be called a joint venture against a business or project. As the number one crowdfunding website in Indonesia, researchers are interested in analyzing the level of communication effectiveness of the website kitabisa.com and which indicators of communication effectiveness are most effective. This study aims to determine how large the scale of the effectiveness of communication website kitabisa.com as a medium to raise funds and contribute online (crowdfunding).This study uses quantitative research methods with purposive sampling techniques. Data collection through the distribution of questionnaires through the internet to 100 respondents. Data analysis techniques in this study used descriptive statistical techniques. Data testing was carried out with SPSS for Windows version 21.The results of this study stated that the website bukisa.com was effective as a media to raise funds and donate online (crowdfunding). These results were obtained from data processing communication effectiveness variables according to Andre Hardjana consisting of six indicators. Each indicator gets different results. Indicators receiver(receiver)medapat get the value 3.07, the message(content)of 3.23, the media messages(media)of 3.26, the message format(format)of 3.25, the source of the message(source)of 3.22, timekeeping(timing) 3.19. The highest get the value is obtained by the media message indicator and the lowest get the  value is obtained by the recipient indicator. The results obtained based on the average formula of all indicators are 3.2 which are included in the effective scale range.   Key word : Communication Effectivity, Crowdfunding, kitabisa.com

Abstract

Communication is one of the most important and complex aspects of human life. Humans are greatly influenced by the communication they do with other humans, both known and unknown. Verbal and nonverbal communication as a stimulus can produce a response in the form of positive emotions. The theory used in this study is the S-R (Stimulus – Response) theory. The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of verbal communication and nonverbal communication on positive emotions, and the influence of verbal and nonverbal communication separately on positive emotions.            This research uses quantitative research methods, with data collection techniques through questionnaires. The population in this study amounted to 112 people, the sample in this study used a census sampling technique. The data analysis method used is multiple linear regression analysis. Data processing and testing uses the Windows version 25.0 of the Statistic Product and Service Solution (SPSS) program.            The results of the study using multiple linear analysis, showed that consumers' verbal nonverbal communication simultaneously had a significant influence on the positive emotions of A&W Restaurant waiters in Pekanbaru by 20.9% which was included in the low level of influence. Partially the verbal communication variable (X1) = 0.005, thus the first hypothesis (H1) is accepted, and the nonverbal communication variable (X2) = 0.001, indicating a significant effect on positive emotion (Y) seen from the significantly smaller value of the two variables. than 0.05, thus the second hypothesis (H2) is accepted. Keyword: verbal communication, nonverbal communication, positive emotions.

Abstract

 Phenomenon of social media Instagram as a medium for disseminating information, has a great response as the target recipient of information. A variety of information disseminated by social media Instagram, one of which is the message of da'wah. The message of da'wah spread by the hijab alila instagram account is through the promotion and dissemination of information about da'wah in the form of cartoon illustrations. Alila's hijab account uses representationsthe inform of cartoon images as da'wah content on her Instagram. One cartoon image can represent thousands of meanings received by the reader. The purpose of this study was to determine the meaning of denotation, connotation and myth representation of da'wah messages through cartoons on the hijab alila instagram account. By using the theory of Roland Barthes' Semiotics Analysis and obtained the meaning contained in the propaganda cartoon image. The research method used by the researcher is a qualitative research method with a descriptive approach. To analyze the data, the researcher used Roland Barthes Semiotic Analysis by examining 5 units of analysis. In the two-stage signification idea model (two orders of signification), namely denotation and connotation. The connotation is identical to the ideological operation which is known as myth. Analyzing each unit of analysis, namely propaganda cartoon images from February, July, and September 2020. The images are propaganda cartoon images that have the likes most. Data collection techniques in this study were research techniques, interviews and documentation. The results of this study based on Roland Barthes' Semiotics analysis on the illustration of the hijabalila Islamic da'wah cartoon image showing three components of meaning. First, the meaning of denotation in making the da'wah cartoon, the illustrator team draws according to the provisions without violating the rules of law in Islam. Second, the connotations are described using design an attractivewith a selection of colors, fonts,illustrations and themes more hits and has a message that can be a concern in thecommunity.And thirdly, the meaning of myth is to give a da'wah message that has a positive response effect, in this case followers activecan see the truth of the message conveyed in accordance with the Qur'an and Hadith.

Abstract

The study is titled sexual identity Transgender Representation in The Film The Danish Girl. The story in the film is taken from a true story that illustrates how one struggled to find appropriate sexual identity with his true identity. This research aims to know the male sexual identity, sexual identity, sexual identity and female transgender in film The Danish Girl. This study uses qualitative methods, with Roland Barthes semiotics analysis approach, taking a focused subject to transgender sexual identity with views through faceted Denoted (signifier) describes the relationship of signifier and signified on reality, meaning explicit. Connotation (signified) describes the relationship of signifier and signified to non-reality, generate an implicit meaning and myth (the myth) explained the habits and beliefs prevailing in the society. In this study the scene is divided into 3 parts are male sexual identity, sexual identity, sexual identity transgender women with 17 scene data analysis unit. The collection of data by specifying the corpus contained in the film in accordance with the categorization of the already determined. The results of this research show that the representation of sexual identity transgender in film The Danish Girl this is. Governor Rusli Zainal known as prime mover for the region Riau South which include people who really cares and it was not easy to give up on the state. Abstract

The Jelita Rubrik of Riau Pos Newspaper displays information related to the hobbies, achievments and contributions of young women in Riau Province. The rubric also provides profile and photographs of objects that support the text. In writing, the writer tends to describe and amphasize the women physical aspect.  Rubric Jelita is published in eight editions, and five of them raise the topic of the world of beauty. The study aims to determine women representation in the subject-object position, women representation in thewriter-reader position, and the commodification proccess in the Rubrc Jelita.This study uses a qualitative method with the Sara Mills Discourse Analysis’s which focuses on feminism, and how actors was seen in text, and also  Vincent Mosco’s Commodity Theory which related to proccess of commodification in Rubric Jelita. The paper examined using the data consist of documentation, observation, and interviewers of 6 (six) peoples. The subject in this study is Riau Pos who became the informant, with 5 (five) news as the analysist unit. This study uses two data validity checking techniques, namely triangulation source and triangulation method.The result showes that, First, women became the object of all discourses, and found three ouf of five discourses subject positioned themselves as women, and two discourses positioned themself as men. From the whole discourse, the subject seems to give the object an opportunity to present herself. Second, subject-object positioning also influences the position of writer-reader. Third, the visible commodification of content is the inspiring story of women about their contributions and achievments, especially in the pageant world. the writer  involved is quite careful in writing and gives the object the opportunity to describe herself. Abstract

Community and news are two variable that are currently inseparable. In general, people put mass media function at the level of needs. Thus, reciprocation of the mass media business is partly determined by people‟s appreciation for the precentation of news in the mass media. The type crime news is presented in a variety of versions ranging from robbery, sexual assault, accident until the news of the murder. Information about crime news easier for people to know in detail about the security situation is happening arround their lives. Furthermore, the public can raise awareness and preventive measures to avoid criminal acts which at times can happen to anyone. Research application of journalistic ethics is intended to describe in concrete terms the implementation of the code of ethics of journalism on Crime News (news murders) in Pekanbaru daily MX. Subsequently, describe the factors that cause violations of the journalistic code of ethics.Data collection technique used observation, interview and documentation. Data analysis technique in this research is data analysis technique is a model of data analysis techniques Miles and Huberman interactive model. While the technique of data authenticity through the extension of participation and triangulation.Results of the analysis of documents and interviews showed that most of the journalistic code of ethics has been adopted by Pekanbaru MX causative factor has not fully implemented the code of ethics of journalism, among others: (1) situational aspects, (2) short reporting limit, and (3) that the newspaper enthused by readers.
