Abstract

The purpose of this study was to produce characteristics of mathematics teaching materials in the G-Suite For Education Software to improve critical thinking skills in valid, practical and effective grade VIII junior high school students. The teaching material developed is the Student Worksheet (LKPD) on the G-Suite For Education Software. This development research uses the Plomp development model which consists of 3 stages, namely preliminary research, development phase, and assessment phase. The subjects of this study were students of class VIII SMP El-Ma'arif Boarding School. The instruments used are validation sheets, student response questionnaires, and ability tests. The teaching materials developed are said to be valid if they meet content and construct validity. The instrument used is a validation sheet that contains aspects of presentation, feasibility of content and material, appearance and language. Validation was carried out by experts in mathematics education, educational technology, and Indonesian language. The practicality of teaching materials is seen from the participants' practicality questionnaire educate. The effectiveness of teaching materials is seen from the competence of students which consists of aspects of knowledge. The results of the validity data analysis indicate that the teaching materials in the G-Suite For Education Software produced have met the very valid criteria in terms of content and constructs. Teaching materials are practical in terms of implementation, convenience and processing time. Teaching materials have also been effective seen from student learning outcomes. Based on these results, it can be concluded that the teaching materials in the G-Suite For Education class VIII SMP that have been produced can be stated as valid, practical and effective.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menghasilkan Media Pembelajaran Matematika Berbasis Realilstic Mathematics Education (RME) untuk meningkatkan Kemampuan Komunikasi Matematis Peserta Didik Kelas X SMA yang memenuhi kriteria valid dan praktis. Media pembelajaran ini di awali dengan permasalahan sehari-hari untuk membangun pengetahuan siswa dalam memecahkan masalah matematika. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian yaitu menggabungkan desain model Plomp dengan Gravemeier dan Cobb. Media pembelajaran pada penelitian ini dikembangkan melalui beberapa tahap, yaitu tahap investigasi awal (mempersiapkan percobaan), tahap pengembangan atau pembuatan prototipe (percobaan desain), dan tahap penilaian (analisis retrospektif). Penelitian ini dilakukan pada peserta didik kelas X SMAN 12 Padang, Sumatera Barat. Data penelitian diperoleh dari hasil observasi, wawancara, angket peserta didik dan guru. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa penggunaan media pembelajaran matematika sudah memenuhi kriteria valid dan praktis.

Abstract

Masalah yang ditemui di lapangan adalah kemampuan berfikir kritis matematis peserta didik yang belum optimal. Kemampuan berfikir kritis matematis peserta didik dapat ditingkatkan dengan menggunakan perangkat pembelajaran berbasis kecerdasan majemuk. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui proses dan hasil pengembangan perangkat pembelajaran berbasis kecerdasan majemuk dalam meningkatkan kemampuan berfikir matematis peserta didik. Jenis penelitian ini adalah penelitian pengembangan (Development Research). Model pengembangan yang digunakan adalah model Plomp yang terdiri dari tiga fase yaitu fase investigasi awal (preliminary research), fase pengembangan atau pembuatan prototype (development or prototyping phase), dan fase penilaian (assessment phase). Pada bagian ini hanya membahas penelitian pada investigasi awal (preliminary research). Instrument yang digunakan pada fase investigasi awal (preliminary research) adalah angket peserta didik, pedoman wawancara guru, catatan lapangan, lembar soal tes pendahuluan. Hasil analisis data pada fase investigasi awal (preliminary research) menunjukkan bahwa 1) rendahnya kemampuan berfikir kritis matematis, 2) kemampuan peserta didik bervariasi, 3) cara belajar peserta didik bervariasi, 4) perangkat yang digunakan guru kurang memfasilitasi peserta didik untuk meningkatkan kemampuan berfikir kritis matematis peserta didik, 5) kurang terlibatnya peserta didik dalam proses pembelajaran, 6) peserta didik sulit memahami Bahasa yang digunakan pada sumber belajar.The problem encountered in the field is that students' mathematical critical thinking skills are not satisfying yet. Students' mathematical critical thinking skills can be improved by using multiple intelligence-based learning tools. The purpose of this study was to determine the process and the results of the development of learning tools based on multiple intelligence in improving students' mathematical thinking skills. This is a development research. The development model used is the Plomp model which consists of three phases, namely the preliminary research phase, the development or prototyping phase, and the assessment phase. This thesis only discusses the preliminary research phase. The instruments used in this research are student questionnaires, teacher interview guidelines, field notes, preliminary test question sheets. The results of data analysis in the preliminary research phase showed that 1) there is a lack of mathematical critical thinking skills, 2) Students have various kinds of abilities, 3) There are differences in students’ learning styles, 4) There is a lack of teaching tools used by the teacher so that the students are not able to improve their critical thinking mathematically, 5) there is lack of students participation in the learning process, 6) It is difficult for students to understand the language used in the learning resources.

Abstract

The ability to think creatively is an ability that is expected to be mastered by students but is still low. Students lack the ability to solve a problem in a various ways.The purpose of this study is to produce a learning tool based on M-APOS theory to improve students' creative thinking abilities.The research method used in this research is research and development which consists of three stages, namely the initial investigation stage, the development stage and the assessment stage.In this section what is done is the preliminary research stage. The instruments used were interview and questionnaire guidelines.The results of the study are: 1) inadequate school facilities and infrastructure, 2) student learning outcomes are still low because students are accustomed to accept what is taught and do not repeat the lessons at home, 3) worksheets that are used by students is not attractive, 4) in the learning process students prefer group learning, 5) students want the questions contained in LKPD to be daily life problems, 6) the learning environment of students who are in the hills and close to the highway, 7) learning styles favored by students are in the form of solving problems in the form of images related to daily life problems, 8) the appearance of worksheets that are liked by students is LKPD which has pictures and attractive color.

Abstract

This research aimed to develop local instruction theory that is valid, practical, and effective to help elementary school students developing their mathematical problem-solving skills. Therefore a sequential activityis design on dailybasis to encourage students to develop their ability to solve mathematical problems, especially on the topic division. To achieve the goal, realistic mathematics approach was implemented to grade three elementary students in the learning process. The designed activities were validated by experts on the aspects of mathematical contents, language, didactical process based on realistic mathematical approach. Data were analyzed with descriptive statistics and parametric statistics. The validation results show that the local instruction theory was valid, and the implementation shows that the local instruction theory is practical and effective in improving students' mathematical problem-solving skills.

Abstract

AbstrakKemandirian belajar, persepsi siswa, dan kemampuan pemecahan masalah merupakan faktor penting dalam belajar matematika. Penelitian bertujuan mengetahui pengaruh kemandirian belajar dan persepsi siswa mengenai guru secara bersama-sama terhadap kemampuan pemecahan masalah matematis siswa. Penelitian deskriptif kuantitaif korelasional ini dilakukan pada 120 siswa kelas X salah satu SMK di Koto Baru yang dipilih dengan teknik purposive sampling. Instrumen berupa angket kemandirian belajar dan persepsi siswa mengenai guru, serta tes soal essay. Analisis data menggunakan statistik deskriptif dan analisis statistik inferensial. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan terdapat pengaruh yang positif dan signifikan antara kemandirian belajar terhadap kemampuan pemecahan masalah matematis siswa, pengaruh yang positif dan signifikan persepsi siswa mengenai guru terhadap kemampuan pemecahan masalah matematis siswa, dan pengaruh positif dan signifikan terhadap kemandirian belajar dan persepsi siswa mengenai guru terhadap kemampuan pemecahan masalah matematis siswa. Faktor kemandirian belajar dan persepsi siswa perlu diperhatikan dengan baik untuk mengembangkan kemampuan pemecahan masalah.  Learning Independence and Students' Perceptions of Teachers on the Mathematical Problem Solving Ability of Vocational School StudentsAbstractIndependent learning, student perception, and problem-solving ability are important factors in learning mathematics. This study aims to determine the effect of learning independence and students' perceptions of teachers together on students' mathematical problem-solving ability. This correlational quantitative descriptive study was conducted on 120 students of class X one of the Vocational High Schools in Koto Baru. Selected by purposive sampling technique. Instruments in the form of a learning independence questionnaire and students' perceptions of teachers, as well as essay tests. Data analysis used descriptive statistics and inferential statistical analysis. The results showed that there was a positive and significant influence between learning independence on students' mathematical problem-solving ability, a positive and significant influence on students' perceptions of teachers on students' mathematical problem-solving ability, and a positive and significant effect on learning independence and students' perceptions of teachers on their abilities. students' mathematical problem-solving. Learning independence factors and student perceptions need to be considered properly to develop problem-solving ability.

Abstract

AbstrakKemampuan pemecahan masalah merupakan tujuan pokok dari pembelajaran matematika. Penyajian masalah matematika terbuka, merupakan alternatif untuk menumbuhkembangkan kemampuan pemecahan masalah peserta didik. Agar proses pembelajaran berlangsung efektif, perlu didukung dengan perangkat pembelajaran yang relevan. Hal tersebut yang mendasari untuk melakukan penelitian pengembangan perangkat pembelajaran matematika berupa Rencana Pelaksanan Pembelajaran (RPP) dan Lembar Kerja Peserta Didik (LKPD) berbasis model pembelajaran penemuan dengan masalah open ended, yang dapat memberikan pengalaman belajar kepada peserta didik dalam keterampilan, menyelidiki, dan memecahkan masalah yang berkaitan dengan dunia nyata serta menyelesaikan masalah-masalah terbuka. Jenis penelitian adalah penelitian pengembangan menggunakan model Plomp yang terdiri dari tiga fase yaitu preliminary research, prototype, dan asessment phase. Pada fase preliminary research dilakukan analisis berupa analisis kebutuhan, analisis peserta didik, analisis kurikulum, serta analisis konsep. Dari hasil analisis yang telah dilakukan diperoleh informasi bahwa perlunya pengembangan perangkat pembelajaran yang dapat meningkatkan kemampuan pemecahan masalah peserta didik. Pada fase prototype dilakukan perancangan produk yaitu RPP dan LKPD berbasis model pembelajaran penemuan dengan masalah open ended untuk kelas X semester 2. Pada fase asessment phase dilakukan uji praktikalitas dan uji efektivitas. Penelitian pengembangan yang akan dilaksanakan ini, diharapkan dapat memperoleh perangkat pembelajaran matematika berbasis model pembelajaran penemuan dengan masalah open ended untuk kelas X SMA yang memiliki karakteristik valid, praktis dan efektif.Kata Kunci: pengembangan, perangkat pembelajaran, model pembelajaran penemuan, masalah open ended.AbstractProblem solving skills are the main objectives of mathematics learning. Presentation of open math problems, is an alternative to develop the problem solving ability of learners. In order for the learning process to be effective, it needs to be supported with relevant learning tools. This is the basis for conducting research on the development of mathematics learning tools in the form of Learning Implementation Plan (RPP) and Student Learning Sheet (LKPD) based on discovery learning model with open ended problem, which can provide learners experience in skills, investigate, and solve Problems related to the real world and solving open problems. The type of research is a development study using a Plomp model consisting of three phases: preliminary research, prototype, and asessment phase. In the preliminary research phase, analysis is done in the form of needs analysis, learner analysis, curriculum analysis, and concept analysis. From the results of the analysis has been obtained information that the need for the development of learning tools that can improve students' problem solving skills. In the prototype phase, the product design is RPP and LKPD based on discovery learning model with open ended problem for class X semester 2. In the phase phase phase, it is tested by practicality and effectiveness test. The development research that will be carried out is expected to be able to obtain the learning device of mathematics based on discovery learning model with open ended problem for class X high school that has valid, practical and effective characteristics.Keyword: Development, learning device, discovery learning model, open ended problem.

Abstract

Kemampuan berpikir kritis merupakan kemampuan yang diperlukan dalam perkembangan dunia saat ini. Namun, kemampuan berpikir kritis peserta didik masih rendah. Halminimdisebabkan peserta didik masih ketergantungan kepada guru dalam menerima informasi serta pembelajaran yang terjadi di kelas belum memfasilitasi kemampuan berpikir kritisnya dalam bidang geometri. Untuk itu dikembangkan lembar kerja peserta didik berbasis teori Van Hiele yang diharapkan dapat membantu mengatasi masalah tersebut. Tujuan dari pengembangan produk ini yaitu untuk mmenghasilkan mlembar kerja peserta didik berbasis teori Van Hiele yang efektif dalam meningkatkan kemampuan berpikir kritis matematis peserta didik kelas VIII SMPN 13 Padang. Subjek penelitian ini adalah peserta didik kelas VIII SMPN 13 Padang. Model pengembangan yang digunakan diadaptasi dari model Plomp. Ada tiga tahapan pada model ini yaitu preliminary research, prototype phase, and assesment. Pada penelitian ini difokuskan melihat keefektifan produk pada tahap assesment. Tahap assesment dilakukan pada uji lapangan (field test) yang terdiri dari 30 peserta didik selama 6 kali pertemuan. Keefektivan produk dilihat setiap pertemuan pada tahap field test serta tes yang diberikan pada akhir pertemuan. Hasil penelitian diperoleh bahwa kemampuan berpikir kritis matematis peserta didik cenderung meningkat selama enam kali pertemuan serta tes akhir juga menunjukkan bahwa terjadinya peningkatan sebesar 73,33%.

Abstract

Mathematics is one of the important subjects for students, but many of the students do not understand mathematics subjects, especiaIIy in soIving contextuaI probIems. This articIe aims to describe students' errors in soIving contextuaI probIems based on Newman's anaIysis. This type of research is quaIitative research. The data coIIection method used in this research is the observation method in the form of test resuIts and fieId notes. The resuIts showed that there were severaI types of student errors in soIving contextuaI questions, nameIy errors in reading terms, symboIs, words or important information in questions by 22%. Errors in understanding the questions in the form of not knowing what the question was asked and wrong in capturing the information contained in the questions so that they couId not continue to the next process by 18,5%. Errors in the transformation process in the form of not being abIe to change the probIem into the form of a mathematicaI modeI that is correct and incorrect in using the sign of arithmetic operations in soIving probIems is 13,5%. Errors in process skiIIs in the form of errors in caIcuIating or computing and not continuing the compIetion procedure by 26,5%. Errors in writing the finaI answer in the form of not being abIe to write the finaI answer that was ordered by the question and unabIe to concIude the answer in accordance with the mathematicaI sentence and Iess thorough in concIuding the answer by 16%.

Abstract

Penelitian ini dilatarbelakangi oleh belum tersedianya media pembelajaran matematika yang interaktif yang bisa digunakan baik secara online maupun secara offline . Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengembangkan media pembelajaran matematika interaktif berbasis Problem Based Learning di Kelas V SDN 22 Duku Kecamatan Koto XI Tarusan. Jenis penelitian adalah penelitian pengembangan atau Research and Development (R & D) dengan model pengembangannya adalah model pengembangan plomp. Tahapan yang dilakukan pada penelitian ini adalah fase studi pendahuluan, fase pengembangan atau pembuatan prototype dan fase penilaian. Instrumen penelitian ini meliputi lembar validasi yang divalidasi oleh 2 orang ahli dan lembar praktikalitas respon siswa kelas IV SD Negeri 22 Duku sebanyak 21 orang. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian pengembangan media pembelajaran matematika interaktif berbasis berbasis Problem Based Learning di Kelas V SDN 22 Duku Kecamatan Koto XI Tarusan, maka dihasilkan media pembelajaran yang memenuhi kriteria valid dengan persentase 93.7% dan memenuhi kriteria praktis dengan persentase 88.07%. Hal ini menunjukkan media pembelajaran matematika interaktif berbasis berbasis Problem Based Learning di Kelas V SDN 22 Duku Kecamatan Koto XI Tarusan valid dan praktis untuk digunakan dalam pembelajaran matematika khususnya materi hubungan antar satuan panjang untuk siswa kelas IV.
