Abstract

This research aimed to design an RME-based learning trajectory for a dyscalculia student to learn the addition of whole numbers. The research used design research approach that consists of three phases: preparing for the experiment, conducting the experiment, and retrospective analysis. This research's data collection techniques were observations, interviews, videotaping, and analyzing the student’ works. The main result of this research is the learning trajectory for teaching addition of whole numbers to a dyscalculia student using RME approach. The series of activities in the learning trajectory are addition of whole numbers between 1 and 10 by combining the objects, addition of whole numbers between 1 and 10 using number relations, addition of whole numbers between 1 and 20 using number relations, and finding the concept of place value of tens and ones in addition of numbers. This research also shows the cognitive improvement of dyscalculia student in learning the addition of  whole numbers. Learning activities carried out by the dyscalculia student help him to shif from informal knowledge to formal mathematical knowledge in order to understand the concept of addition of whole numbers. It makes dyscalculia student has number sense, number construction, and number relation abilities which increase significantly in the learning process.

Abstract

Abstract. Infilration that is disturbed in an area will affect the existing hydrological cycle and make the natural balance not met. The construction and opening of new land has led to a diversion of land use which was originally a water catchment area, so that the water catchment area was reduced, causing flooding in residential areas. Infiltration is also influenced by several factors including rock lithology conditions, land slope and soil physical condition. Therefore, it is necessary to study the infiltration rate, infiltration zoning mapping, and the calculation of water discharge that can be applied to the soil. This research was carried out at 15 different points. The data obtained are primary data which is direct observation in the field, namely the coordinates of the study location, groundwater data, lithology, land slope, soil physical properties (water content, porosity, saturated hydraulic conductivity, soil density), and infiltration rate measurement data. Based on data processing using the Kostiakov method, the average infiltration rate of the study area was 0.010565 cm/min, including the very low absorption area classification (<0.1-0.2 cm/min). based on statistical analysis, rock lithology conditions, land slope and soil physical properties are very influential on the rate of infiltration. Infiltration zoning mapping was divided into 6 zones, with the lowest infiltration rate 0.000017093-0.002509782 cm/minute and the highest infiltration rate zone 0.022775581-0.046821598 cm /minute. In addition, the water discharge that can be absorbed by the soil in the study area with an area of 14,199 km2 is 6,600 m3/hour/km2 (very low). Keywords: Infiltration Rate and Infiltration Zone , Kostiakov Method, Rocks Lithology, Land Slope, Soil Physical Characterist

Abstract

PISA (Program for International Students Assessment) test result on 2018 put Indonesia in the 72th position of 78 countries. The report showed the importance to improve the level of students thinking ability. There are many possible ways to develop students’ thinking. One way to do that is by giving the students drill to solve PISA problems. However, this solution is difficult to implement because designing PISA problems is difficult for the teachers. Therefore, 24 junior high school mathematics and science teachers ware selected in order to give them training and workshop to improve their ability to design PISA like problems using action research methods. Three stages ware implemented in the training and workshop. First, introduction to PISA, Second, designing PISA Problems, and third, trying out and evaluating the test result. Product of the workshop are 48 PISA like problems of mathematics and 42 PISA like problems of science.

Abstract

Tujuan penelitian ini adalah melakukan analisis tahap awal dalam mengembangkan Lembar Kerja Peserta Didik berbasis Problem Based Learning. mengembangkan kemampuan pemecahan masalah matematis secara optimal. Penelitian ini menggunakan model Plomp yang terdiri dari tiga tahap, Untuk tahap pertama yaitu tahap awal penelitian dilakukan analisis kebutuhan, analisis peserta didik, analisis kurikulum, analisis konsep, serta analisis bahan ajar yang ada. Berdasarkan hasil analisis pendahuluan (Preliminary Research) maka diperoleh kesimpulan bahwa untuk dapat mengasah kemampuan pemecahan masalah matematis peserta didik, guru membutuhkan perangkat pembelajaran yang dapat membantu memfasilitasi peserta didik untuk menumbuh dan mengembangkan kemampuan pemecahan masalah matematisnya. Melalui LKPD yang dilandaskan atau didasarkan atas salah satu strategi atau pendekatan yang telah terbukti untuk meningkatkan kemampuan pemecahan masalah yaitu Problem Based Learning, maka diharapkan dapat membantu peserta didik mengembangkan kemampuan pemecahan masalahnya.

Abstract

The goal of this research is  to describe the analysis of mathematics students error to solve problem of linear programs. This research belongs to the type of qualitative research with using a descriptive approach.  The data collection technique is done by giving tests in the form of linear program story questions and interviews. This study used in fifth semester of the students of mathematics of Pahlawan University. The results showed that the types of conceptual errors are: a) making graphic error solution, b) error in using the concept of a variable that will be used, c) identify what is asked and d) choosing error symbol. Procedural errors are: a) error in choosing the strategy to be used in problem solving, b) error in apply strategy to solve the problem, and c) error in viewing return what is the solution obtained is in accordance with what known and asked. Causative factor students make mistakes in solving program problems linear:  a) Students are not accustomed to solving story problems so that students have difficulty transform into a mathematical model b) Students do not understand the concept of symbols inequalities c) Students are less proficient at making graphs including determining the area completion d) Students do not understand the concept of extreme points e) Students are less thorough in performing calculation operations

Abstract

Penelitian ini memiliki tujuan untuk menciptakan sebuah LKPD yang memenuhi kriteria valid dan praktis berbasis pendekatan etnomatematika yang dapat membantu guru dalam menyampaikan materi pembelajaran penyajian data serta mempermudah peserta didik dalam memahami materi pembelajaran dikarenakan berangkat dari kebudayaan yang terdapat di sekitar peserta didik.  Penelitian ini mengacu kepada model pengembangan Plomp. Berdasarkan tahapan pengembangan LKPD serta uji coba one to one dan small group yang dilakukan pada kelas V SDN 01 Koto Baru dan SDN 05 Koto Baru Dharmasraya diperoleh 1) hasil validasi 3,63 dengan kategori sangat valid 2) hasil praktikalitas peserta didik 93,05 dengan kategori sangat praktis dan 3) hasil praktikalitas guru 100 dengan kategori sangat praktis. Dilihat dari hasil validasi dan praktikalitas, dapat disimpulkan bahwa LKPD berbasis pendekatan etnomatematika pada materi penyajian data sangat valid dan sangat praktis sehingga dapat digunakan dalam proses pembelajaran di sekolah dasar khususnya dikelas V SD.

Abstract

Culture is a tradition / habit that exists in society. Basically, culture can be used in learning activities, in addition to making learning more fun, it can also improve student learning outcomes. Learning that involves culture is called Ethnomathematics. Based on this, the researchers are interested in conducting research to develop an integrated learning device for the ethnomathematics of the Congklak game. The objectives of this research are (1) to describe the ethnomathematical elements in the congklak game, (2) to produce an integrated learning device for the ethnomathematics of the congklak game that is valid, practical and effective. This research is a combined research of ethnographic research and development research (Development Research). Ethnographic research data obtained from observations and interviews with cultural experts. The data analysis techniques carried out were: 1) data reduction, 2) data display, and 3) conclusions. The development research was carried out using the Plomp development model. In the Plomp development model there are several phases, namely the initial investigation phase (preliminary research), the development or prototyping phase (development or prototyping phase), and the assessment phase.The results of ethnographic research show that there are ethnomathematics elements in the game of congklak. These elements are grouped into mathematical ideas, namely: counting, locating, playing, and explaining. While development research produces learning tools that are valid, practical, and effective. Learning devices are said to be valid in terms of content and constructs, are said to be practical in terms of implementation, ease and processing time, and are said to be effective in terms of increasing student learning outcomes. Based on the ethnographic and developments that have been carried out, the learning tools in the form of RPP and LKPD are integrated. The ethnomathematics game of Congklak, material for arithmetic operations, is valid, practical, and effective for class II SD/MI students.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menghasilkan alur belajar berbasis Realistic Mathematics Education (RME) untuk membantu peserta didik dalam menemukan konsep peluang. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah penelitian desain. Metode ini merupakan suatu proses siklus dari preparing for the experiment, conducting the experiment, dan retrospective analysis. Penelitian ini difokuskan untuk merancang alur belajar, memvalidasinya, dan mengimplementasikannya secara kelompok kecil. Alur belajar yang telah divalidasi dan direvisi selanjutnya diujicobakan di kelas. Data penelitian dikumpulkan melalui observasi, wawancara, dan analisis jawaban peserta didik. Instrumen yang digunakan berupa HLT, Buku Pendidik, dan Buku Peserta Didik. Data yang dikumpulkan dianalisis secara kualitatif. Pada tahap pertama dilakukan perancangan Hypothetical Learning Trajectory (HLT) , Buku Pendidik, dan Buku Peserta Didik dengan menggunakan pendekatan RME melalui studi literatur. Pada tahap kedua dilakukan uji coba HLT, HLT diuji coba terlebih dahulu pada tiga orang peserta didik yang terdiri dari peserta didik berkemampuan tinggi, sedang, dan rendah, HLT yang diujicobakan tidak ada revisi dan perbaikan selanjutnya diujicobakan pada enam orang peserta didik secara kelompok kecil dengan kemampuan  tinggi, sedang, dan rendah. Pada tahap ketiga dilakukan analisis terhadap hasil uji coba di mana diperoleh bahwa sebagian besar peserta didik kesulitan dalam memahami masalah yang diberikan.

Abstract

Permasalahan utama dalam penelitian pengembangan ini adalah kurangnya penguasaan matematika dan kemampuan befikir matematis dipengaruhi oleh berbagai faktor, salah satunya yaitu perangkat pembelajaran yang digunakan oleh guru sebagai pendukung proses pembelajaran. Hal tersebut dapat dilihat dari LKS pada pelajaran matematika yang digunakan guru belum didasarkan pada karakteristik siswa. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian pengembangan (Research and Development). Penelitian ini dilaksanakan di SDN 08 Tabek Panjang Kecamatan Baso dengan subjek penelitian adalah peserta didik kelas V berjumlah 15 siswa. Analisis data dalam penelitian ini adalah secara statistik deskriptif dan teknik deskriptif. Hasil penelitian terlihat bahwa hasil belafar siswa dengan menggunakan LKPD berbasis Pendekatan Problem Based Learning menunjukkan tingkat ketuntasan belajar siswa secara klasikal tergolong tinggi yaitu 86,67%. Dapat disimpulkan bahwa dengan menggunakan LKPD berbasis Pendekatan Problem Based Learning dapat dietrapkan untuk peserta didik di kelas V

Abstract

This research aimed to develop local instruction theory that is valid, practical, and effective to help elementary school students developing their mathematical problem-solving skills. Therefore a sequential activityis design on dailybasis to encourage students to develop their ability to solve mathematical problems, especially on the topic division. To achieve the goal, realistic mathematics approach was implemented to grade three elementary students in the learning process. The designed activities were validated by experts on the aspects of mathematical contents, language, didactical process based on realistic mathematical approach. Data were analyzed with descriptive statistics and parametric statistics. The validation results show that the local instruction theory was valid, and the implementation shows that the local instruction theory is practical and effective in improving students' mathematical problem-solving skills.
