Abstract

Kemampuan Representasi Matematis (KRM) adalah salah satu kompetensi matematis yang harus dikuasai oleh peserta didik. Salah satu faktor yang mempengaruhi KRM siswa adalah karakteristik cara berpikir yang dimiliki oleh siswa tersebut. Adapun tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk menganalisis KRM yang dimiliki oleh siswa ditinjau dari karakteristik cara berpikirnya dengan fokus materi pada Bangun Ruang Sisi Datar. Subjek dalam penelitian ini adalah siswa kelas IX SMP-IT ICBS Payakumbuh. Adapun jenis penelitian ini adalah penelitian analisis deskriptif kualitatif dengan metode pengumpulan data berupa tes soal kemampuan representasi matematis, angket karakteristik cara berpikir peserta didik, dan wawancara. Seluruh data kemudian dianalisis melalui 3 tahapan, yaitu reduksi data, penyajian data, menarik simpulan dan verifikasi. Hasil akhir penelitian menunjukkan bahwa subjek dengan tipe berpikir Sekuensial Konkrit memiliki KRM visual dan simbolik yang tergolong cukup baik, namun KRM verbalnya masih tergolong kurang. Adapun subjek dengan tipe berpikir Sekuensial Abstrak memiliki KRM visual dan verbal yang masih sangat rendah sedangkan KRM simboliknya tergolong cukup baik. Subjek dengan tipe berpikir Acak Konkrit memiliki KRM visual dan verbal yang cukup baik pula, hanya saja, KRM simboliknya masih tergolong rendah. Adapun subjek dengan tipe berpikir Acak Abstrak memiliki KRM visual dan simbolik yang cukup baik, akan tetapi KRM verbal yang ia miliki masih tergolong rendah.

Abstract

Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mendeskripsikan kegiatan belajar siswa prestasi tinggi, sedang dan rendah dalam pembelajaran matematika di kelas IV, serta faktor yang mempengaruhi kegiatan belajar siswa. Jenis penelitian ini adalah kualitatif deskriptif dengan 6 orang informan. Teknik pengumpul data yang digunakan adalah observasi, wawancara dan dokumentasi. Data ini diolah dengan cara mereduksi data, penyajian data, terakhir penarikan kesimpulan. Hasil penelitian di kelas IV MIS tahfidz Rabbani Kota Solok menggambarkan bahwa siswa prestasi tinggi selalu mempersiapkan diri dan perlengkapan belajar sebelum pembelajaran di mulai, menyimak penjelasan guru, mencatat, berani mengemukakan pendapat, serta melakukan latihan dengan membahas soal-soal yang ada. Sementara siswa prestasi sedang, kurang mempersiapkan diri sebelum mengikuti pembelajaran, kurang fokus dalam menyimak penjelasan guru, jarang mengemukakan pendapat, serta kurang melakukan latihan setelah pembelajaran. Siswa prestasi rendah sangat kurang dalam mempersiapkan diri dan sering lupa membawa perlengkapan belajar, tidak memperhatikan guru saat menjelaskan pelajaran, tidak mau bertanya, serta tidak melakukan latihan setelah pembelajaran.

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to produce learning tools based on Realistic Mathematics Education (RME) that were valid, practical and effective to improve the mathematical problem solving abilities of class X SMA / MA students. The learning tools developed are the Learning Implementation Plan (RPP) and Student Worksheets (LKPD). This research is a development research with the Plomp model which consists of three stages, namely the preliminary research, the development stage, and the assessment stage. At the development stage, the design and assessment of learning devices is carried out through the stages of formative evaluation. Field test subjects involved in this study were students of class X SMAN 5 Padang, West Sumatra. The instruments used were RPP validation sheets, LKPD validation sheets, teacher response questionnaires, student response questionnaires. Before the instrument is used to collect data, it is validated by mathematicians, linguists, and educational technologists. The results of the analysis of the RPP and LKPD validation sheets show that the learning tools developed are valid. Learning tools are classified as practical based on the results of the analysis of teacher response questionnaires, student response questionnaires, and learning implementation observation sheets. In addition, the learning tools developed are also effective for improving students' mathematical problem solving abilities based on test results.

Abstract

This research is motivated by the low ability of student’s mathematical communication and the instructional package used has not provided opportunities for students to construct student’s creative ideas in understanding concepts and discovering principles. This research aims to obtain a guided discovery-based mathematics instructional package to improve mathematical communication of VIII grade junior high school students that is valid and practical. The instructional package developed is the lesson plans and student worksheets. This type of research is research and development. The development model used in this research is the Plomp model, which consists of 3 phases, namely the preliminary research phase, the development or prototyping phase, and the assessment phase. In the preliminary research phase, the analysis required for the development of guided discovery-based instructional package was carried out. In the development or prototyping phase, the design of guided discovery-based mathematics instructional package was carried out by paying attention to aspects of the feasibility of content and presentation, language, and graphics. In the development or prototyping, formative evaluation was carried out, namely self-evaluation, one-to-one evaluation, and small group evaluation. In the assessment phase, it was carried out by giving a practicality test questionnaire based on guided discovery to mathematics teachers and VIII grade students. The test subjects in this study were students of VIII.2 grade of SMPN 12 Padang in the academic year 2020/2021. The instruments used in the preliminary research phase were observation sheets, interview guides with teachers, and student questionnaires. The validity instruments were the self-evaluation sheet and the lesson plans and student worksheets validation sheet. The practical instruments were observation sheets of lesson plans, teacher response questionnaires, and student response questionnaires. The results of the analysis of the data from the lesson plans and student worksheets validation sheets show that the guided discovery-based mathematics instructional package developed is valid in terms of content and presentation, language, and graphics according to the expert judgment. Guided discovery-based mathematics instructional package are practical in terms of ease of use and time. This was obtained based on the results of observations of the implementation of the lesson plans, teacher response questionnaires, and student response questionnaires.

Abstract

The purpose of this study is to produce a Junior Mathematics worksheet based on metaconigration approach to improve students' HOTS with valid, practical and effective. This research is a development research using Plomp model. The results of this study are metacognition-based worksheets a) valid from the aspects of content, construct, language, and graphic, b) practical aspects of usage, time and readability, and c) effective aspects to improve the HOTS ability of students.

Abstract

According to the National Council of Mathematics Teachers (NCTM) 2005, Mathematics is a means of problem-solving. NCTM also emphasizes that problem solving cannot be separated from learning Mathematics because problem-solving is an integral part of learning Mathematics. This study aims to improve the mathematical problem-solving ability of students in the Madrasah Tsanawiyah by using a cognitive conflict-based learning model. The subjects of this study were students of class VII Madrasah Tsanawiyah. This type of research is development research. Data collection was carried out in 3 stages, the investigation stage, the prototype phase, and the assessment phase as the level of implementation and achievement in using the cognitive conflict-based learning model. The instruments used in this study were in the form of interview guidelines, questionnaires, and observation sheets. The data analysis carried out is the analysis of data on the validity, practicality, and effectiveness of learning tools. The results of problem-solving abilities can be seen from the results of students' final tests in each meeting which always increase. Based on the study's results, it can be concluded that Cognitive Conflict-based mathematics learning tools can improve students' mathematical problem-solving abilities.

Abstract

Abstract— Currency exchange rates (exchange rates) can affect the economic stability of a country. Each country conducts international relations, one of which is Indonesia and Malaysia, namely Indonesia's export activities to Malaysia. This study aims to determine the accuracy rate of forecasting with MAPE and to determine the exchange rate (exchange rate) in the next period using the Fuzzy Time Series Markov Chain. This research is applied research with secondary data taken from the official website of Bank Indonesia. By converting the exchange rate data into linguistic values and then transferring it to a fuzzy logic group to determine the markov chain transition matrix, the forecast results can be obtained. The results of processing exchange rate data using the Fuzzy Time Series Markov Chain method obtained prediction accuracy reaching 96.78% of the actual data with a MAPE value of 3.22% and the forecast results on May 4 2020 amounting to IDR 3,468. Keywords—currency exchangerate, forecasting, markov chain fuzzy time series method.

Abstract

Pengembangan literasi matematis siswa harus menjadi prioritas karena peranan esensial yang dimiliki matematika dalam penyelesaian masalah sehari-hari. Namun, kajian menunjukan bahwa hasil capaian literasi matematis siswa di Indonesia masih rendah. Eksplorasi lebih dalam terkait dengan akar permasalahan dan strategi perbaikan dibutuhkan untuk mengakselerasi pencapaian literasi matematis. Menjawab tantangan tersebut, penelitian ini ditujukan untuk mengeksplorasi literasi matematis mahasiswa dalam pembelajaran kalkulus integral sehingga dapat menemukan gap pencapaian dalam topik tersebut. Tiga puluh tiga mahasiswa Jurusan Pendidikan Matematika Universitas Islam Negeri Sjech M. Djamil Djambek dijadikan subjek dalam penelitian ini. Pendekatan deskriptif kualitatif dipergunakan untuk menganalisis data dan informasi yang diperoleh melalui tes dan wawancara. Wawancara dilakukan pada tiga orang mahasiswa yang mewakili kategori tinggi, sedang dan rendah. Studi menunjukan rata-rata skor yang diperoleh siswa yakni 48,1 yang mengindikasikan literasi matematis dalam kategori rendah. Mahasiswa literasi matematis tinggi mampu memenuhi tiga indikator, kelompok sedang menguasai dua indikator sedangkan grup rendah tidak mampu memenuhi satu pun indikator. Dalam pengoptimalan hasil pembelajaran, hasil kajian ini dapat dipergunakan sebagai dasar dalam penentuan strategi pembelajaran oleh tenaga pendidik atau mahasiswa.

Abstract

Penelitian ini memiliki tujuan untuk menganalisis kemampuan literasi digital mahasiswa dalam pembelajaran matematika berbasis geogebra. Instrumen yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah angket dan pedoman wawancara. Wawancara dilakukan terhadap 3 orang mahasiswa yang memiliki kemampuan tinggi, sedang, dan rendah. Teknik analisis data menggunakan teknik analisis data deskriptif kualitatif. Data mengenai tingkat kemampuan literasi digital mahasiswa menggunakan geogebra dikelompokkan menjadi empat aspek, yaitu aspek sikap belajar, social emosional, teknis, dan kognitif. Dari hasil analisis yang telah dilakukan didapatkan data sebesar 85,20% aspek sikap belajar dengan kriteria tinggi, aspek social emosional 96,86% dengan kriteria sangat tinggi, aspek teknis 77,90% dengan kriteria tinggi, dan aspek kognitif sebesar 75,43% dengan kriteria sedang. Hasil penelitian ini diharapkan dapat memberikan kontribusi untuk pendidik supaya bisa menggunakan geogebra dalam pembelajaran agar literasi digital mahasiswa meningkat.

Abstract

This research was motivated by the low mathematical communication skills of junior high school students. This study aims to produce Interactive Learning Media using a valid, practical, and effective Missouri Mathematics Project model to facilitate mathematical communication skills. This research is a development research carried out with the Plomp development model. The Plomp development model consists of three stages, namely preliminary investigation, prototyping stage, and assessment phase. This research was conducted at SMP Negeri 3. Data collection instruments in the form of interviews, documentation, questionnaires and test questions. The data obtained are analyzed by quantitative and qualitative data analysis techniques. The results showed that the interactive learning media for mathematics using the Missouri Mathematics Project model developed was classified as a very valid category (86.62% for RPP and 83.93% for media) and very practical at 87% and 86.85% respectively (for RPP and small group media) 88.1% and 88.02% (for RPP and large group media). Meanwhile, based on the test results of the mathematical communication ability test questions, 83.33% of students knew the criteria for the success of the mathematical communication ability test > 80%, meaning that interactive learning media using the Missouri Mathematics Project model was very effective on methematic communication skills
