Abstract

Whiteleg shrimp (Litopenaeus vannamei) is a fisheries commodity which has high economic value because of its high demand and easier cultivation. Lamongan regency is one of the minapolitan region in East Java Province, especially at Glagah district, Jatirenggo village which becomes the minapolist, with one of the superior commodities is whiteleg shrimp. The development of a certain village can be determined by village developing index or IDM which consists of three categories, they are left behind, developing, and advance village. Jatirenggo village has a village developing index (IDM) of 0.6080 which classified as developing category or category 2. Thus, in order to increase its status, the welfare of its people need to be considered. Whiteleg shrimp pond aquaculture can be one of the effort to increase the income of Jatirenggo’s. This study aims to analyze the sustainability of whiteleg shrimp aquaculture activity in Jatirenggo village according to ecology, socio-economic, technology-infrastructure, and institutional dimension. The used method was MDS Rapfish. The results showed that the whiteleg shrimp aquaculture in Jatirenggo village is classified as sustainable, or it means the situation in Jatirenggo village is suitable for a successful aquaculture. Thus, it can be expected to increase the income of the farmers.

Abstract

Ranu Grati?s Morphometry Study Using GPSMAP 585 and GIS. In the study of pollution load capacity of a reservoir or lake, its required information such as innudation area, average of depths and innudation volume, but those data at sometimes unavailable and out of date. The aims of this research are to find out depth distribution in Ranu Grati and represent it on a map. Depth map or bathymetry map that resulted is show morphological condition that can be used for further study e.g calculation of Ranu Grati capacity for aquaculture. Area of inundation, inundation volume and average depth of Ranu Grati can be figured out by using Garmin GPSMAP 585, Sentinel 2a imagery, BingMap and GIS analysis with ArcGIS according to those mapping data. Visualization of the mapping result through 3D view is used to increase understanding Ranu Grati morphometric conditions such as for Ranu Grati carriying capacity for aquaculture etc.. The result shows maximum depth that recorded during mapping is 121, 9 m. Meanwhile, area of inundation and volume are 1.734.223,07 m2 and 124.491.952,55 m3 respectively.

Abstract

Kabupaten Tuban merupakan salah satu wilayah percontohan industrialisasi tambak udang khususnya udang vanamei. Desa Temaji merupakan salah satu desa di Tuban yang memiliki potensi budidaya udang vanamei untuk dikembangkan. Pembudidaya udang vanamei bernaung pada Kelompok tani Riswada. Tujuan pelaksanaan pengabdian di Desa Temaji adalah berbagi pengetahuan, peningkatan pemahaman dan keterampilan mitra dalam peningkatan teknologi semi intensif di tambak budidaya udang vanamei, pemantauan kualitas air melalui pelatihan pengukuran kualitas air, dan proses budidaya udang vanamei melalui pemanfaatan teknologi tepat guna dengan introduksi alat automatic feeder (autofeeder) secara mandiri. Pengabdian masyarakat ini terlaksana berdasarkan permasalahan yang terjadi pada mitra terkait kegiatan budidaya udang vanami seperti proses budidaya yang dilakukan oleh mitra masih secara tradisional/ekstensif dan efesiensi pakan yang masih rendah karena pemberian pakan masih secara konvensional.

Abstract

Efektifitas penggunaan kincir air selama masa periode blind feeding budidaya intensif udang vannamei (Litopenaeus vannamei) merupakan salah satu kegiatan penting yang harus diperhatikan demi kelangsungan siklus budidaya yang stabil. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui tingkat transfer oksigen oleh kincir air serta hubunganya terhadap parameter harian kualitas air tambak. Peneltian ini dilakukan dengan konsep desain kausal ex-post facto selama 30 hari awal masa budidaya intensif udang vannamei (Litopenaeus vannamei) atau selama periode blind feeding budidaya. Hasil penelitian menunjukan bahwa nilai parameter kualitas air di lokasi tambak masih sesuai ambang batas. Sedangkan tingkat transfer oksigen oleh kincir air bersifat fluktuatif selama 30 hari masa pengamatan. Sementara dari hasil uji korelasi menunjukan bahwa hanya variabel suhu dan salinitas air memiliki keeratan hubungan yang kuat terhadap proses transfer oksigen oleh kincir. Sehingga dapat disimpulkan bahwa fluktuasi tingkat transfer oksigen oleh kincir air akan berpengaruh ataupun dipengaruhi oleh kondisi suhu dan salinitas air tambak.

Abstract

Penelitian ini menggunakan dasain kausal dengan metode deskriptif  yang bersifat ex post-facto atau kajian fenomena alami yang mempelajari proses-proses yang terjadi ditambak sesuai dengan kondisi yang ada dengan mengobservasi kegiatan budidaya udang vaname secara intensif pada petak tambak yang terkendali selama ± 100 hari. Kegiatan pengelolaan tambak dilakukan sesuai dengan prosedur operasional baku . Bahan dan alat yang digunakan dalam penelitian meliputi satu petak tambak berukuran  3.295,5  m2, berpola intensif dengan padat tebar 120 ekor/m2, sarana dan prasarana produksi serta alat pengambilan dan pengukur contoh sesuai dengan variabel yang diukur. Parameter utama yang diukur adalah pH harian pada pagi hari dan siang hari.  Parameter  pendukung lainnya yang diukur setiap hari adalah suhu, salinitas, kecerahan, dan mingguan TOM, karbonat, bikarbonat dan total alkalinitas  Data yang dikumpulkan dianalisis untuk melihat keragaman data yang diukur. Selanjutnya dibuat model model hubungan pH-pagi dan pH sore hari selama satu siklus pemeliharaan udang vanamei. Selanjutnya dibuat korelasi antara kelarutan pH dengan Parameter kualitas air lainnya. Untuk mengetahui keterkaitan antar variabel, data yang diperoleh dianalisis regresi dengan bantuan perangkat lunak SPSS versi 16 serta analisis deskriptif.  Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa rataan pH-pagi ditambak udang adalah 7.94  ±  0.41 (7.70- 9.00) dan model hubungan pH-pagi adalah oksigen terlarut harian adalah  Y = = 0.0065x2 - 0.1973 X + 9.48 (R² = 0.77)  dan pH-siang hari adalah Y = 0.0064x2 - 0.175x + 9.4825 (R² = 0.801).  pH air tambak  berkorelasi dengan suhu,  total alkalinitas dan  karbonat (CO32-) dan korelasi  negatif dengan ortho fospat (PO43-), bikarbonat (HCO3-) dan TOM (total organic matter) dan tidak ada korelasinya dengan salinitas dan kelarutan oksigen di dalam air tambak

Abstract

Pakan yang mahal dan teknologi yang masih tradisional menjadi masalah yang serius bagi pembudidaya udang vanamei di Desa Temaji. Salah satu alternatif yang ditawarkan yaitu melakukan pembuatan pellet secara mandiri dalam sistem budidaya semi intensif. Tujuan utama  pelaksanaan Doktor Mengabdi (DM) yaitu mengembangkan keterampilan pembudidaya dalam memproduksi pakan mandiri skala kecil dengan menggunakan mesin pellet sederhana guna mengurangi biaya operasional dari cost pakan. Selain itu, tujuannya adalah untuk meningkatkan keterampilan mitra dalam pengukuran kualitas air sehingga produksi hasil budidaya dapat meningkat dan secara tidak langsung dapat meningkatkan pendapatan dan kesejahteraan masyarakat pembudidaya. Hasil kegiatan ini yaitu diperolehnya produk pellet MINIPRO yang dikemas sendiri dan berdasarkan kalkulasi ternyata hasil pellet yang diproduksi jauh lebih murah dibandingkan dengan pellet yang dibeli. Kegiatan ini juga diakhiri dengan pemberian kuesioner sebagai feedback dari kegiatan ini.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the rate of daily growth and productivity of seaweed K. alvarezii and economic value in the Gelung Coastal to support the production of seaweed K. alvarezii. This research was conducted in August-October 2015 in the Gelung Coastal Desa Gelung Kecamatan Panarukan Kabupaten Sitobondo, East Java. Seaweed seeds of K. alvarezii (0:47 ± 2.99) kg grown using a rope tied to a rope stretch of No. 4 and mounted on a bamboo raft (6 x 7) m2. Seaweed weighing done at the beginning and end of the study. Water quality measured in the form; Temperature (oC), Salinity (ppt), Brightness (cm), pH, Nitrite, Nitrate, Ammonium and posphate. Data growth and productivity of seaweed K. alvarezii were analyzed descriptively. Analysis of the economic aspects of cultivation of macroalgae covering the analysis of BEP (Break Event Point), ROI (Return on Investment) and B / C ratio (Benefit Cost Ratio) to determine how the feasibility of seaweed cultivation K. alvarezii sustainable.This results showed that the average weight of seaweed is (10:55 ± 1.67) kg each rope stretch of the shelf that are kept for 35 days. Weight gain seaweed K. alvarezii reached 4 times the initial weight (2.99 ± 0:47) kg with an average daily weight gain reached 23% and specific growth rate (SGR) is 3.92%. Daily growth rate seaweed K alvarezii is almost identical to that maintained in the waters of India (Kotiya, et al., 2011), but lower than the daily growth specifically in the waters of Yucatan, Mexico (monoz et al. 2004) and the results of tissue culture (Lym Yong et al. 2014), but higher than with a specific daily growth Sangihe Islands waters Talengan Minahasa which only reaches 3:37% (Tiwa, et al. 2013). Similarly, the productivity of seaweed farming in the coastal Gelung shelf models more productive with average results obtained reached 4.76 kg / m2 or 47.6 tons / ha. Much higher result compared with the East India Water Tharuvaikulam until reach 2:59 kg / m2 (Athithan, 2014) and in the waters of Southeast Sulawwesi Konawe reaching only 1:34 kg / m2 (Faisal, et al. 2013). This is due to the nutrients that need seaweads K. alvarezii Aquatic Gelung sufficient. Based on the economic analysis of seaweed cultivation K. alvarezii BEP values obtained with the production 1.880.91 kg dry. The value of ROI obtained was 0.77 or 77%. This means that for every capital of Rp. 100.00, - obtained a profit of Rp. 77.00. while the value of B / C ratio obtained is of 1.77 which means that with a capital of Rp. 13,165.000 be obtained from the sale of 1.77 times the amount of capital. Abstract

Salah satu faktor yang mempengaruhi rendahnya pertumbuhan dan kelangsungan hidup larva ikan koi adalah ketidaksesuaian jenis  pakan yang diberikan. Ikan koi saat larva memerlukan pemberian pakan yang tepat  yaitu pakan alami karena sistem pencernaannya belum sempurna. Kelebihan dari pakan alami yaitu mempunyai ukuran yang sesuai dengan bukaan mulut larva ikan, memilki kandungan protein tinggi dan mudah dicerna. Penelitian ini dilakukan untuk mengetahui mengetahui pertumbuhan larva pada pembenihan ikan koi dengan pemberian pakan alami planktonik yang berbeda dan mengetahui tingkat kecernaan pakan alami plantonik pada ikan koi.  Pakan planktonik yang digunakan untuk perlakuan pada larva koi yaitu Chlorella sp, Artemia salina dan Daphnia magna. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan  nilai Spesific Growth Rate (SGR) atau laju pertumbuhan spesifik larva ikan koi diperoleh nilai tertinggi pada perlakuan pemberian pakan Daphnia magna dengan nilai sebesar 2,7%/hari. Nilai survival rate (SR) atau kelangsungan hidup tertinggi pada perlakuan pemberian Daphnia magna sebesar  50,67% dan hasil kecernaan pakan yang tertinggi pada perlakuan  pemberian Daphnia magna sebesar  53,55%. Kualitas air pada perlakuan pemberian pakan planktonik untuk ikan koi masih pada kondisi optimal.Kata kunci: kecernaan pakan, ikan koi, pakan alami, plankton

Abstract

Porong River can be described as a walking landfill that can deliver variety of waste to go to estuary, where it would be settled and accumulated. That numerous waste in the river will lead to pollution and provide huge negative impact for water quality status and organism life. Therefore, this study aim to assess the extent of contamination that occurred in Porong river by using WQI NSF (National Sanitation Foundation - Water Quality Index) Index. The research site was in along Porong river from Mojokerto to Jaban Sidoarjo estuary, which will be divided into 7 sampling sites. Next, the determination of the sampling location was conducted by using purposive sampling method. The use of WQI NSF index is able to analyze data using 8 or 9 parameters. In order to obtain complete overview of water quality status in Porong River, then this research used 9 parameters, including: BOD, DO, nitrate, total phosphate, temperature, turbidity, total solids, pH, and  Fecal Coliform. Based on the results of 9 parameters data analysis using NSF-WQI index, it is known that the recent water quality status in Porong River is classified as Medium criteria. By knowing the results of data analysis showing the criteria of medium, so we are obliged to maintain the water cleanness, so that the water quality status will not decline.Keywords: NSF-WQI, Porong River, Status of Water Quality
