Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui latar belakang pendirian Poliklitik.com, mengetahui manajemen strategi media yang dibangun Poliklitik.com dan mengetahui kualitas jurnalistik yang dihasilkan oleh Poliklitik.com. Analisis strategi ini ditinjau dari aspek internal dan eksternal Poliklitik.com dengan menggunakan kerangka strategi manajemen media Sylvia M. Chan – Olmsted. Untuk menguraikannya, peneliti menggunakan metode penelitian kualitatif dengan pendekatan studi kasus intrinsik. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukan penggunaan kartun editorial sebagai konten utamadigunakan  oleh Poliklitik.com sebagai bentuk praktik jurnalisme alternatif di tengah dominasi media arus utama. Strategi tersebut diformulasikan berdasarkan aspek eksternal, yakni perkembangan teknologi dan informasi, serta aspek internal yang meliputi sumber daya utama selaku kekuatan utama Poliklitik.com. Simpulan penelitian adalah Poliklitik.com lahir sebagai sebuah media alternatif dengan menggunakan konten kartun editorial agar dapat memberi pengaruh kepada anak muda. Sementara untuk kualitas jurnalistik yang dihasilkan oleh Poliklitik.com sudah memperhatikan kaidah-kaidah jurnalistik namun belum cukup kredibel karena menggunakan teknik agregasi dan kurasi.

Abstract

Makanan merupakan bagian dari kebudayaan yang erat kaitannya dengan identitas, sehinggakisah mengenai makanan khas Indonesia di media massa mencerminkan kebudayaan dan karakter bangsa Indonesia. Di sisi lain, Islam tidak hanya menjadi agama mayoritas di Indonesia, tapi juga menjadi sistem nilai dan kebudayaan yang hegemonik. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menginvestigasi wacana keislaman dalam teks berita kuliner MBM Tempo Edisi Khusus Antropologi Kuliner Indonesia, 1-7 Desember 2014. Meski objek yang diteliti telah agak lama, penelitian ini tetap relevan hingga saat ini, karena isu mengenai kehalalan dan jurnalisme wisata saat ini telah semakin berkembang. Penelitian ini dilakukan dengan menggunakan Analisis Wacana Kritis (AWK) model Norman Fariclough untuk mengkaji wacana pada dimensi teks, praktik wacana, dan praktik sosial. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa wacana keislaman mendominasi ketiga level dimensi wacana. Pada level teks, penggunaan bahasa dalam teks berita mereproduksi wacana kuliner yang berorientasi konsumen Muslim serta wacana-wacana sejarah yang berkaitan dengan sejarah kekuasaan Islam di Indonesia. Pada level praktik, wacana keislaman bekerja sama dengan wacana konsumerisme dan promosi dalam membentuk hegemoni dalam praktik jurnalisme wisata MBM Tempo. Sedangkan pada level praktik sosial, kecenderungan komodifikasi wacana dalam persaingan media membuat wacana keislaman terlibat dalam perjuangan hegemonik dalam kerangka pasar di Indonesia yang lebih luas.

Abstract

Convergence occurs because of the development of the internet, social media, and digital technology. In the realm of journalism, convergence refers to the practice of producing, distributing, and consuming content for multiple platforms in the form of text, photos, and videos by a single newsroom. The development of technology then gave birth to many disturbances and possibilities. Convergence challenges the media industry's already stable business model to adapt to changes. The purpose of this study is to discuss and compare how the adaptation and application of convergence that the local media "Pikiran Rakyat" and AyoBandung.com have tried to use using convergence theory in Rich Gordon's media organization. This research uses a case study method with a comparative qualitative approach that tries to explain how the application of convergence to "Pikiran Rakyat" and AyoBandung.com and compares how the two media put it into practice. The results showed that; the ownership of "Pikiran Rakyat" and AyoBandung.com adapted convergence by creating media groups and targeting local media as branches or media partners; on tactics, "Pikiran Rakyat" and AyoBandung.com cooperate in news creation with branches or partners and other media, both media focus on programmatic advertising as a source of income; on the structure, "Pikiran Rakyat" and AyoBandung.com implement newsroom 3.0; in gathering information, the journalists of Pikiran Rakyat and AyoBandung.com in carrying out their coverage only required to bring a smartphone; at the presentation, "Pikiran Rakyat" and AyoBandung.com carried out the action of packaging content to various platforms.

Abstract

The new Criminal Code (Kitab Undang-undang Hukum Pidana/KUHP) passage on December 6, 2022, sparked a significant conversation on Twitter, with pro and con responses making it a trending topic. Among these responses, certain influential actors disseminated messages that had the potential to shape public opinion, even if the information was not always accurate. This research utilizes social network theory to map the conversations surrounding netizens’ reactions to the new Criminal Code ratification on social media platforms. The study employs descriptive social network analysis methods to analyze three key variables: network structure, groups, and actors. Data was collected using NodeXL Pro between December 6 to December 10, 2022. The findings revealed that although the network consisted of 25,245 actors and 59,396 relationships, the level of interconnectivity among actors was relatively loose, indicating weaker and mostly one-way relationships. Furthermore, influential actors came from diverse backgrounds and profiles. This research confirms the ability of social media platforms to connect individuals without physical face-to-face interactions. At the group level, discussions regarding the new Criminal Code were divided into various topics, highlighting different perspectives and opinions. The presence of diverse actors reflects the inclusive nature of the network, exemplifying the concept of digital opinion movements and the emergence of digital public spaces. Although the public protests did not change the government’s decision, the conversations among netizens regarding the new Criminal Code raised public awareness of national issues, a crucial aspect of digital democracy.
