Abstract

Abstract— This study aims to assess teachers in education. This type of research is combination research (quantitative and qualitative). Research subjects were 55 people. The research data was obtained through questionnaires, peers, interviews, and data from the analysis using a percentage formula. The results of the study found that pedagogic competence: (1) For the questionnaire the average total score was 4.2. (2) For peer rankings average total score of 4.0, with the achievement level of respondents 80% remaining in the "good" category, (3) Average productivity score of 4.0, with an achievement level of respondents 80% in the category " good ", and (4) For the results of interviews that discuss the principal, curriculum curriculum and 7 heads of productive majors, with the conclusion of the" good "category. While for the competence of the soul is obtained (1) For the questionnaire the total score is 4.3. (2) For the rank of peers the average total score is 4.2, with the achievement level of respondents 84% ​​in the "good" category, (3) Average productivity score 4.1, with 82% respondents' achievement in the category " good ", and (4) For the results of interviews that discuss the principal, curriculum curriculum and 7 heads of productive departments with the" good "category.

Abstract

Research-based on data on the low student learning outcomes. Internal and external factors cause little learning outcomes. Previous research has concluded that valid and practical E-learning media will streamline the learning process. Research focuses on one of the external factors that cause low learning outcomes. E-learning media is an external factor that is the focus of research. This study aims to analyze the E-learning media on learning outcomes. The analysis results will provide an overview of E-learning media's influence on improving learning outcomes. The increase in learning outcomes in the form of post-test scores on E-learning media is carried out. This research is an experimental study with a randomized control-group post-test only design, where the research subjects were students majoring in automotive engineering. Samples were taken randomly using data collection in data test for student learning outcomes in the Automotive Engineering Department, Faculty of Engineering, UNP. The collected learning outcome test data were analyzed according to the data analysis process, and the results were tested to examine E-learning media's effect on improving student learning outcomes. The test results showed an increase in learning outcomes by 25.33%. The research concludes that E-learning media has no significant impact on learning outcomes.

Abstract

The lack of total student involvement in the learning process is due to a lack of effort in finding information independently and not achieving active learning. The purpose of this study was to investigate the effect of intrinsic motivation on project-based learning in the automotive engineering education student workforce transfer system course. The method used was a quasi-experimental research design with a 2x2 factorial. The population used was students of the Automotive Engineering Department, Faculty of Engineering, Padang State University, 2020/2021 academic year. The results showed that students who applied project-based learning had higher learning outcomes than using conventional methods. This was based on the value of Fcount greater than Ftable, 7.866 > 3.34 at the 0.05 significance level. There is an interaction between learning methods and students' intrinsic motivation towards learning outcomes, this is evidenced by the value of Fcount is greater than Ftable, 7.602> 3.34 at the 0.05 significance level. There is a significant difference in student learning outcomes between project-based learning and conventional learning which has high intrinsic motivation. The final research result is that there is no significant difference in student learning outcomes between project-based learning and conventional learning which has low intrinsic motivation

Abstract

This study discusses the thermal analysis of the disc brakes used in UNP energy-efficient cars. There are three types of disc brake designs that are simulated, namely solid disc brake, circular hole ventilated and vane ventilated types. Using the finite element method, the three disc brake designs analyzed the characteristics of the heat received from the braking process. Disc brakes with better heat dissipation ability are the most suitable type to use. From the simulation results, the ventilated (circular hole) disc brakes have the best heat dissipation capability with a maximum temperature of 635,520 K, lower than the vane and solid types where the maximum is obtained. temperatures of 5700 K and 809.50 K . The vane type disc brake design is a disc brake design with the worst heat dissipation capability which has the highest final temperature of 809.50 K.Keywords—Thermal analysis, disk brake, heat, high efficiency vehicle

Abstract

This study aims to develop learning tools for project-based light vehicle engine maintenance and describe the teacher's response to the application of project-based learning tools in light vehicle engine maintenance subjects. This research is a research and development (RD) model with ADDIE. The ADDIE development model consists of analysis, design, development, implementation, and evaluation. The results showed that the product developed was valid in terms of validity, very practical in terms of practicality, and very high in the aspect of effectiveness. Based on the aspects of validity, it can be specified that the syllabus gets a percentage score of 90.25%, 88.78% learning implementation plan, 86.56% module, 88.93% job sheet, 87.5% achievement test instrument, and project test instrument 87.08%. Based on aspects of practicality assessed from the teacher's response, it can be specified that the syllabus gets a percentage score of 88.67%, 86.88% learning implementation plan, 88.75% module, 88.77% job sheet, 85.42% test instrument for learning outcomes, and 83.33% project test instruments. Overall, teachers find it helpful to develop project-based learning tools. Based on the effectiveness, the results of students' knowledge tests with the percentage of mastery learning in the knowledge area amounted to 86.67%, and the skill area amounted to 86.67% with very high criteria. Researchers can conclude that project-based learning tools on light vehicle maintenance subjects are in accordance with valid, practical, and effective criteria.

Abstract

This research is correlational with the aim of revealing the correlation between learning activeness with the final learning outcomes of Vocational High School students. The questionnaire is used to get data on student learning activeness distributed to students. Before the questionnaire is distributed, the questionnaire must be declared valid and reliable. While the learning outcomes data obtained from the report card grades. Analysis of research data using pearson product moment correlation. The correlation coefficient uses the t test formula. The results obtained r count = 0.4487 > r table = 0.279. While t count = 3.4785 > t table = 1.676 with a significant level used is 5%. The researcher can conclude that there is a positive and significant correlation between the learning activities of vocational high school students with their learning outcomes.

Abstract

Program Kemitraan Masyarakat (PKM) bertujuan untuk memberikan pengetahuan dan keterampilan serta kompetensi bagi siswa SMK di Kabupaten Solok Selatan dalam membangun usaha bengkel sepeda motor secara mandiri. Kurangnya pengetahuan dan keterampilan siswa  menjadi hambatan dan kendala dalam mendirikan sebuah bengkel sepeda motor. Kegiatan PKM ini dimulai dengan memberikan pre-test untuk melihat seberapa pengetahuan dan keterampilan siswa. Selanjutnya diberikan pelatihan tentang pengetahuan dan keterampilan dalam membangun bisnis (wirausaha) bengkel sepeda motor. Selanjutnya diakhir pelatihan akan diberikan lagi post test tentang pengetahuan dan keterampilan dalam membangun bisnis (wirausaha) bengkel sepeda motor. Akhir dari pelatihan diberikan post-test kepada siswa. Post-test bertujuan untuk melihat ada atau tidaknya peningkatan pengetahuan dan pemantapan skill serta kompetensi siswa mengenai berbagai hal tentang pendirian sebuah bengkel sepeda motor. Sehingga akhir dari pelatihan ini diharapkan dapat meningkatkan pengetahuan dan kompetensi siswa dalam membangun usaha bengkel. Hasil dari PKM menunjukkan adanya peningkatan pengetahuan dan kompetensi siswa dalam membangun bisnis (wirausaha) bengkel sepeda motor.

Abstract

The number of motorcycle users in the city of Padang is not proportional to the number of motorcycle repair service providers. Especially in Parupuk Tabing Village, Koto Tangah District, Padang City, the increase in the number of motorcycles is not proportional to the number of existing motorcycle repair shops. The opportunity to create a motorcycle workshop entrepreneur in this area is very promising.Life skill training for motorcycle mechanics for unemployed people aims to generate an entrepreneurial spirit by creating new entrepreneurs for motorcycle repair shops independently, and also providing assistance in the form of basic equipment to create new entrepreneurs for motorcycle repair shops.The implementation of PKM activities is carried out with the obligation to comply with health protocols in the Jondul 1 field, RW XVI, Parupuk Tabing Village, Koto Tangah District, Padang City, West Sumatra. The number of unemployed people who will take part in this training are 30 people. The implementation method approach used is (1) the lecture and question and answer method (2) the discussion method (3) the practical method, and (4) the guidance and evaluation method.The results of the training showed a high level of interest, participation and activeness of participants in participating in the training.

Abstract

DEVELOPMENT OF LECTURERS COMPETENCIES THROUGH THE SOCIALIZATION OF THE SEMESTER LEARNING PLAN (RPS) ERA OF INDUSTRIAL REVOLUTION 4.0. This socialization activity is an activity carried out in the Automotive Engineering Department, Faculty of Engineering, Padang State University. This service activity is to increase the knowledge and skills of lecturers in compiling RPS in accordance with the demands of the world today. This is to make it easier for lecturers to plan, compile RPS and evaluate learning oriented in the 4.0 revolution era. This activity was attended by 24 lecturers majoring in automotive engineering. In this socialization activity, it was explained how to prepare RPS in the era of the industrial revolution 4.0 and also to develop lecturer competence because making RPS is the obligation of lecturers in preparing for the learning process later. The data shows a lack of interest from lecturers in compiling and developing RPS. There are also data results that show the lack of student motivation in learning activities which is part of the readiness of the lecturers themselves in completing learning tools. The method used is science and technology substitution by offering a new, more modern science and technology than the old one. The final result is that the overall service activity process has been considered quite good and useful for automotive engineering majors and is important to be developed as part of the completeness of learning tools.

Abstract

Learning requires support from a reliable media, one of which can be a learning module. Based on several previous studies regarding the module, there are still some shortcomings from the module under study. So that further development of the given module is needed by adding the contents of the module using the project. This study aims to examine the development of heavy equipment technology modules including validity tests, practicality tests and project-based effectiveness tests. This research is included in Research and Development (R&D) research. The model used in this study uses the ADDIE principle, the data collection method is through questionnaires and learning outcomes tests, the data analysis is processed using a quantitative approach and described through a qualitative approach to conclude the research results, the research subjects consist of lecturers and students. The results of the research conducted on the development of PjBl-based modules meet the feasibility, in terms of aspects of validity, practicality and effectiveness. The results of the analysis of the validity aspect are 89.07% very valid criteria, the average practicality aspect is 87.92% very practical criteria. The effectiveness aspect is seen from the knowledge test and project test. The test results on 30 students have an average score of 86.67% in the good category and in the field of skills (projects) of 86.67% very high criteria. The conclusion is that the development of PjBL-based modules is able to attract attention and make students understand the material and be able to work together in groups.
