Abstract

The main problems are in Bogor is the pollution of the river dominated by the waste from domestic. Causes of the pollution of the river is the behaviour of the community in managing household garbage. Ecovillage program is one of the effort to reduce the pollution of the river through outreach to the community in managing household garbage. The purpose of this research is to analyze the behaviour of the Riverbanks society Citampian in managing household garbage. The method used was a survey method with the use of quantitative data in the form of interviews with housewives. The result of this research show revenue and support outreach environment affect behaviour of housewives in managing household garbage, exactly on the aspect of cognitive, affective, and action.Keywords : behavior, household garbage, riverbanks society------------------------------ ABSTRAK Permasalahan utama yang berada di Kabupaten Bogor adalah pencemaran sungai yang berasal sebagian besar dari limbah dari domestik. Salah satu penyebab dari permasalahan utama pencemaran sungai adalah perilaku masyarakat dalam mengelola sampah rumah tangga. Program ecovillage merupakan salah satu upaya untuk mengurangi pencemaran sungai melalui penyuluhan kepada masyarakat dalam mengelola sampah rumah tangga. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah menganalisis perilaku ibu rumah tangga Bantaran Sungai Citampian dalam mengelola sampah rumah tangga. Metode yang digunakan adalah metode survei dengan menggunakan data kuantitatif berupa kuesioner yang didukung oleh data kualitatif berupa wawancara mendalam dengan ibu rumah tangga. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan pendapatan rumah tangga dan dukungan penyuluhan lingkungan mempengaruhi perilaku ibu rumah tangga dalam mengelola sampah rumah tangga, tepatnya pada aspek kognitif, afektif, dan tindakan.Kata Kunci : masyarakat bantaran sungai, perilaku, sampah rumah tangga

Abstract

Sustainable development of coastal and marine resources in Indonesia reveals that women take an important role in coastal and marine sectors. This study focused on womens perception of their role. It aimed to assess the women’s perception about their role and to analyze the relationship between internal and external factors with womens perception about their role in cockle cultivator households. This study applied survey method with quantitative approach which is supported by qualitative information. The result of this study found that most respondents are in middle adulthood (31-50 years), have low education levels, low income levels, has a job as “ pengitri k”  and Bugis tribes.  The results of descriptive analysis showed that womens perception of their role in the household tend to be less good, it means respondents did not have a conscious view of gender in almost aspects of household roles. The results of statistical analysis showed that internal factors which is income level and employment has significantly related to women’s perceptions about their role in the household. Another factors such as age, education, and income has not  significantly related to the women’ s  perception. External factors in this study such as husband’s age, husbands education level and husband’s  income level is not significantly related to the womens perception of their role in the household. Keywords: women’s p erception, cockle cultivator households, gender

Abstract

Biogas is one of the renewable energy that can be used as an alternative energy to replace un-renewable energy. The development of biogas management could be success because of the participation of the community in every phases so the community could continue to produce biogas and feel the sustainable benefits. This research aims to collect information about the participation of rural community in biogas management. The location for this research is at Cisondari Village, Pasir Jambu District, Bandung Regency, West Java Province. The method used in the research is quantitative approach through survey method with questionnaires and complemented with qualitative approach. This research proved that utilizer characteristics, government subvention, and characteristic of biogas as an innovation can influence the rural community participation in biogas’ utilization. Beside that those impacts that made by biogas utilization can influence the socio-economic condition of the community.Keywords : Biogas, energy, participation, communityABSTRAKBiogas merupakan salah satu energi terbarukan yang dapat dijadikan bahan bakar alternatif untuk menggantikan bahan bakar seperti minyak tanah dan gas alam. Keberhasilan pengembangan pemanfaatan energi biogas di pedesaan tidak lepas dari keterlibatan masyarakat dalam setiap tahapan pengambilan keputusan hingga tahap menikmati hasil sehingga masyarakat dapat terus melakukan pengelolaan energi biogas dan merasakan manfaatnya secara berkelanjutan. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis partisipasi masyarakat dalam pengelolaan energi biogas. Lokasi penelitian ini yaitu di Desa Cisondari, Kecamatan Pasir Jambu, Kabupaten Bandung, Provinsi Jawa Barat.Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian adalah pendekatan kuantitatif melalui metode survei dengan kuesioner yang didukung oleh data kualtitatif melalui wawancara dan studi literatur. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa secara keseluruhan karakteristik pengguna biogas, bantuan pemerintah, serta karakteristik inovasi biogas mempengaruhi partisipasi masyarakat dalam pemanfaatan biogas. Dampak yang ditimbulkan dari pemanfaatan tersebut pun berpengaruh terhadap kondisi sosial ekonomi masyarakat.Kata Kunci : Biogas, energi, masyarakat, partisipasi

Abstract

Information has become one of the main needs of the community. Now, the trend of high school students in selecting agricultural major, has decreased. Promotion media of university is very important to improve the information, knowledge, and interests of students in selecting agricultural major in university. This study was conducted to know about the performance of promotion media of IPB. This study used a quantitative approach with survey research method. Data analysis methods used correlational descriptive and gratification discrepancy analysis (T-Test). Data collecting used questionnaire to 112 high school student who participants of “visit program”to IPB. The result shows there any differences of student gratification level toward presentation media, Facebook, and Twitter. Presentation media can use as main media in IPB promotion activity, because based on result of gratification discrepancy, the performances was good and significant. Presentation media can use as mainstream media promotion of IPB.Keyword: gratification, high school students, performance, promotion media, university

Abstract

Promotion via twitter performed by Travel Agents "Ibu Penyu" to marketing their service. In addition, the promotion was also made to introduce marine tourism in Indonesia. Twitter presence is considered as one of the media for marine tourism company in expanding economic activity. The purpose of this research are to analyze the characteristics of respondents and promotional activities, analyze the effectiveness of the promotion via twitter and analyze the correlation between the characteristics of the respondents and the effectiveness of promotional activities through the promotion of marine tourism company twitter "Ibu Penyu". The method used in data collection is via an online questionnaire that was distributed to the followers @ibupenyu. Data were analyzed using Spearman-rank correlation test and Chi-square difference test. The results in this study are twitter effective of the promotion. Factors related to the effectiveness of the promotion is age, education level, income level, the frequency of feedback messages, rate the attractiveness of the message, and clarity in the delivery of information.Keywords: media, frequency of feedback messages, attractiveness of the message  ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ABSTRAKPromosi melalui twitter dilakukan oleh agen perjalanan "Ibu Penyu" untuk memasarkan layanan mereka. Selain itu, promosi juga dilakukan untuk memperkenalkan wisata bahari di Indonesia. Kehadiran twitter dianggap sebagai salah satu media untuk perusahaan wisata bahari dalam memperluas kegiatan ekonomi. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk menganalisis karakteristik responden dan kegiatan promosi, menganalisis efektivitas promosi melalui twitter dan menganalisis hubungan antara karakteristik responden dan efektivitas kegiatan promosi melalui promosi wisata bahari twitter perusahaan "Ibu Penyu". Metode yang digunakan dalam pengumpulan data adalah melalui kuesioner online yang dibagikan kepada para pengikut @ibupenyu. Data dianalisis dengan menggunakan uji korelasi Spearman-rank dan uji beda Chi-square. Hasil dalam penelitian ini adalah keefektifan twitter pada promosi. Faktor yang berhubungan dengan efektivitas promosi adalah usia, tingkat pendidikan, tingkat pendapatan, frekuensi umpan balik pesan, menilai daya tarik pesan, dan kejelasan dalam penyampaian informasi.Kata kunci: media, frekuensi umpan balik pesan, daya tarik pesan

Abstract

The importance of sustainable development in fishery has been clearly seen in Indonesia through the existence of Law No.31 Year 2004 on Fishery. It is stated that fishery development is aimed to create job opportunities, fish farmer and fisherman welfare, and to maintain the sustainability of fishery resource and environment. Therefore, all aspects of fishery development activities, including traditional fish processing business should be based on the view of sustainable development. According to the description, the objectives of this study are: (1) to analyze traditional fish processing business; (2) to determine factors influencing one another in sustainable fishery business; and (3) to formulate strategy to improve the competence of traditional processing workers. This research was conducted through the method of survey in three regencies in Lampung Province; namely Tanggamus Regency, Pringsewu Regency, and East Lampung Regency, with a number of samples amounting to 235 respondents; later on the number of samples in each group was determined using the technique of proportional random sampling. Assessment towards the fish processing workers in sustainable traditional processing business generated quite good result since the processing workers were confident that the business developed well and sustainably. The competence of processing workers is influenced by non-formal education and entrepreneurial characteristics. The competence and implementation of extension has a direct influence, while individual characteristics of processing workers indirectly influence the sustainable traditional fishery business. Strategy to improve the competence of sustainable traditional fishery business is done by: (a) strengthening the competence of traditional fish processing workers particularly in technical and managerial aspects through the development of entrepreneurial characteristics; and (b) strengthening the extension intensity through extension method and media to create changes in behavior in running a sustainable traditional fishery business (economy, social, and environment).Keywords: Sustainable, fishery, traditional processing workers, strategy

Abstract

Kapasitas petani dalam mengoptimalkan fungsi lahan yang dikelola merupakan kunci peningkatan kualitas hidup melalui kegiatan pengelolaan agrowisata. Kapasitas dalam hal ini merupakan kemampuan untuk dapat melihat serta memanfaatkan peluang dan potensi agrowisata yang ada di Kabupaten Malang. Pengembangan agrowisata yang terjadi ternyata berlangsung dalam kondisi pengalaman usaha yang masih baru. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk menganalisis kapasitas petani dalam mengelola agrowisata dan menganalisis faktor-faktor yang memengaruhi kapasitas petani dalam mengelola agrowisata. Penelitian ini dilakukan mulai Februari hingga Mei 2017. Jumlah sampel dalam penelitian ini sebanyak 75 orang ditentukan secara proportional random sampling berdasar wilayah kecamatan. Analisis data menggunakan Partial Least Square (PLS). Hasil dari penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa kapasitas petani dalam kategori tinggi pada indikator pelayanan dan interaksi sosial. Faktor-faktor yang mempengaruhi kapasitas petani pengelola agrowisata di Kabupaten Malang adalah dukungan lingkungan eksternal berupa dukungan penyuluhan, dukungan kelompok, dan dukungan pemerintah desa dengan tingkat pendidikan formal sebagai karakteristik internal yang berpengaruh terhadap kapasitas petani.Kata kunci: agrowisata, kapasitas, manajemen, penyuluhan, petani

Abstract

Level of education in fishermen community is a low classified, one of something is because of the poverty in the fisherman community. In other, fishermen perception about formal education will influential to the level of education in fishermen community. This research have a direction to know the fishermen perception level about formal education, to know the factors that influence it, to know the relation between that perception with the fishermen behavior to sent their children to school, and to know how much percentage of cost that their spent to their children education. This research used the cased study method, and analyzed descriptively. The result of the research showed that almost of fishermen in the Rembang District, Rembang Regency, Central Java Province have a high perception level about formal education. The factors that influence it such as age level in the present, the children value for the future, their hope for'their children jobs, community value, and the policy of the local governmant in Rembang Regency about education. The relation between fishermen perception about formal education with the fishermen behavior to sent their children to school have real and positive characters. The cost of the education that spent by fishermen family to their children have an average value. That average value is about 18.25 % from the total of their total spending.

Abstract

Keberlanjutan penerapan teknologi pengelolaan pekarangan oleh wanita tani pada dasarnya ditujukan guna menghadapi isu ketahanan pangan nasional, perbandingan ketersediaan pangan vs pertambahan jumlah penduduk, isu alih fungsi lahan dan kesadaran tentang pentingnya upaya diversifikasi pangan. Penelitian ini bertujuan: (1) menganalisis karakteristik individu, karakteristik inovasi, kinerja fasilitator, dukungan eksternal dan keberlanjutan penerapan teknologi pengelolaan pekarangan; (2) mengkaji pengaruh karakteristik individu, karakteristik inovasi, kinerja fasilitator, dan dukungan eksternal terhadap keberlanjutan penerapan teknologi pengelolaan pekarangan. Penelitian dilakukan di Kecamatan Sindangagung dan Kecamatan Jalaksana, Kabupaten Kuningan Provinsi Jawa Barat. Sampel penelitian berjumlah 76 orang wanita tani. Hasil analisis regresi linear berganda Uji F (simultan), semua peubah bebas karakteristik individu, karakteristik inovasi, kinerja penyuluh/fasilitator dan dukungan lingkungan eksternal memiliki pengaruh nyata terhadap keberlanjutan adopsi. Nilai pengaruh sebesar 72,4% sedangkan sisanya 27,6% dipengaruhi oleh peubah lain yang tidak ada di dalam model regresi. Secara berurutan indikator peubah karakteristik individu yang berpengaruh nyata adalah umur, motivasi, jumlah anggota keluarga, tingkat pendidikan, curahan waktu wanita tani dan pendapatan keluarga. Indikator karakteristik inovasi adalah keuntungan relatif dan tingkat kesesuaian inovasi. Indikator kinerja fasilitator adalah tingkat kunjungan dan tingkat pengetahuan. Semua indikator dukungan eksternal pemasaran, dukungan keluarga, dukungan kelompok dan sarana prasarana berpengaruh nyata terhadap keberlanjutan pengelolaan lahan pekarangan.

Abstract

The rise of social media users is now a great opportunity for businessmen to exploit it. Social media is often used as a means of promotion is a website and Instagram. Promotion through online media is widely used by the Manager of the tourist including community based tourism area. Online promotion is important to attracting tourists into visiting a tourist area. This research uses a quantitative approach with a survey of the methods supported by the qualitative data and followed by 171 respondents. The results of this study indicate that website and Instagram is only effective to attract attention and interest, while in attracting the desire and action is still lacking. It is influenced by the completeness of the information on the website and the completeness of information and its delivery on Instagram.Keywords : effectiveness, instagram, online promotion, website=================================================== ABSTRAK Meningkatnya pengguna media sosial saat ini menjadi peluang besar bagi pelaku bisnis . Media  sosial yang sering digunakan sebagai sarana promosi adalah website dan Instagram. Promosi melalui media online banyak digunakan oleh pengelola kawasan wisata termasuk kawasan wisata berbasis masyarakat. Promosi online penting untuk menarik minat wisatawan agar mengunjungi kawasan wisata. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kuantitatif dengan metode survei yang didukung dengan data kualitatif dan diikuti oleh 171 orang responden. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa website dan Instagram hanya efektif untuk menarik perhatian (attention), dan menarik keingintahuan (interest), sedangkan dalam menarik keinginan (desire) dan juga tindakan (action) masih kurang.
