Abstract

Low back pain (LBP) significantly impacts Indonesian workers, including those in Jambi's rubber processing factories. This study, involving 102 respondents, used a cross-sectional design to identify LBP-associated factors. Statistical analysis found significant correlations: age (p-value 0.000, PR 1.83), years of service (p-value 0.000, PR 3.50), workload (p-value 0.000, PR 6.00), work attitude (p-value 0.000, PR 0.06), BMI (p-value 0.005, PR 1.20), and smoking (p-value 0.000, PR 2.42) with LBP complaints. Medical history had no significant association (p-value 0.351, PR 1.13). LBP complaints in rubber factory workers may be triggered by factors such as advancing age, length of service, heavy workloads, suboptimal work attitudes, abnormal BMI, and smoking habits.

Abstract

Fire preparedness is an emergency response effort to the danger of fire. Low fire preparedness can result in large losses from fire incidents. This research aims to determine the factors related to fire preparedness among employees at the Kenali Besar Community Health Center. This research is a quantitative study with a cross-sectional design. Carried out in February 2024 with a population of 63 employees. Samples were taken using the total sampling technique. Research analysis uses the chi-square test. The results of statistical tests show that there is a relationship between knowledge and fire preparedness (p= 0.007) and infrastructure and fire preparedness (p= 0.009). It was concluded that the factors related to preparedness among Kenali Besar Community Health Center employees were knowledge and infrastructure. There is a need to increase knowledge and infrastructure as well as carry out regular training and supervision for community health centers.

Abstract

Low back pain (LBP) is a musculoskeletal disease that can be disturbing and the main cause is physical disorders. World Health Organization estimates that industrialized countries experience low back pain disorders with a prevalence of 5% per year and Indonesia with a prevalence rate of 49%. In Jambi, the prevalence of disease among farmers has the highest prevalence of 12.79%. This research aims to determine the effect of stretching in minimizing LBP in rice farmers in Pudak Village. This research uses quantitative research methods with a quasi-experimental type. The research sample consisted of 20 farmers who were divided into 2 groups, the treatment and the control group. In the treatment group experienced a decrease in the average level of pain after being given stretching. The results show that there is an effect of stretching with LBP.
