Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui aktivitas selulolitik bakteri Actinobacillus sp. yangdikembangbiakkan menggunakan media alternatif yang murah. Ransum lengkap disusun kemudiandifermentasi menggunakan dua faktor perlakuan meliputi empat dosis fermentasi dan dua masainkubasi. Dosis fermentasi terdiri dari 0% (K), 2% (A), 3,5% (B) and 5% (C), sedangkan faktor inkubasiterdiri dari 3 hari dan 7 hari. Media alternatif menggunakan bahan-bahan kimia teknis yang ditambahdengan susu bubuk dan jerami. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa dosis A, B dan C yang diinkubasi7 hari secara signifikan meningkatkan kandungan bahan organik dan protein kasar, serta menurunkanserat kasar. Dosis B dan C dengan waktu inkubasi 7 hari secara signifikan meningkatkan kandunganbahan kering.

Abstract

Production of seaweed processing generates a huge amount of waste, either waste solid or liquid waste. For solid waste contains a lot of organic carbon derived from cellulose or hemicellulose. Therefore, the solid waste that has the potential as a raw material of activated carbon. This study aims to determine the characteristics of the activated carbon produced from solid waste agar and determine the optimal concentration of activator that produced the best characteristics of the activated carbon. The treatment used is a different activator concentration which is designed using completely randomized design (CRD) with five treatments and four replications. The results showed the five treatments are significant differences in the characteristics of the ash and pure active carbon content. This study shows that the manufacture of activated carbon industrial solid waste agar with a different activator concentration influence on the characteristics of the active carbon with ash content parameter and pure active carbon content. The concentration of activator that can provide the highest value of pure activated carbon is in P5 with a concentration of 6 M. Based on this study are advised to do further research on how to lower the ash content of the activated carbon from solid waste agar.

Abstract

ABSTRAK                                                                        Penelitian bertujuan untuk mengetahui analisis sistem manajemen usaha peternak sapi perah penerima kredit modal usaha di KUD SAE Pujon terhadap kelayakan usaha peternakan sapi perah dan analisis kelayakan usaha anggota peternakan sapi perah penerima kredit modal usaha di Koperasi SAE Pujon. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian eksploratif. Penentuan lokasi dan 30 responden berdasarkan metode purposive sampling dari total semua peternak penerima kredit modal usaha yang ada di Koperasi SAE Pujon. Pengumpulan data dilakukan dengan cara teknik kuisoner, dokumentasi dan teknik wawancara.   Jumlah ternak, jumlah produksi dan harga jual susu, kredit modal usaha dan manajemen peternakan adalah variabel bebas dan analisis kelayakan usaha adalah variabel tergantung. Indikator dari sistem manajemen yaitu manajemen bibit, pakan, kandang dan kesehatan. Indikator analisis kelayakan usaha yaitu break event point (BEP) unit, break event point (BEP) harga dan benefit cost ratio (B/C Ratio). Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa: (1) Hubungan SDA dan pelaksanaan kerja berpengaruh terhadap analisa usaha dalam persamaan (AU = -0,267*SDA + 0,226*PK), kemudian hubungan kredit simpan pinjam dan analisa usaha berpengaruh terhadap kelayakan usaha dalam persamaan (AKLU = 0,794*BP + 0,260*KSP).Kata Kunci: analisis kelayakan, kredit usaha, sistem manajemen, sumber daya alamABSTRACTThe cooperative also provides supporting facilities, one of which is a cooperative providing credit to the community. The study aimed to determine the analysis of the business management system of dairy farmers who received venture capital loans at KUD SAE Pujon on the feasibility of dairy farming businesses and an analysis of the business feasibility of members of the dairy farm recipients of business capital at SAE Pujon Cooperative. This research is exploratory. Location determination and 30 respondents based on the purposive sampling method of the total all farmers receiving business capital loans at the SAE Pujon Cooperative. Data collection is done by questionnaire techniques, documentation and interview techniques. The number of livestock, the amount of production and the selling price of milk, business capital credit, and livestock management are independent variables and the business feasibility analysis is a dependent variable. Indicators of the management system are the management of seeds, feed, pens, and health. Business feasibility analysis indicators are break event points (BEP) units, break event points (BEP) prices and benefit-cost ratio (B/C Ratio). The results showed that: (1) The relationship of natural resources and work implementation had an effect on business analysis in the equation (AU = -0.267 * SDA + 0.226 * PK), then the relationship between savings and loans and business analysis had an effect on business feasibility in the equation (AKLU = 0.794 * BP + 0.260 * KSP).Keywords: capital loans, feasibility analysis, management system, natural resources

Abstract

Ikan karper (Cyprinus carpio) merupakan salah satu komoditas perikanan air tawar yang menjadi primadona di sub sektor perikanan. Adanya kendala dalam usaha pembenihan yaitu tingkat kelangsungan hidup rendah dan pertumbuhan relatif lambat. Oleh karena itu, hibridisasi dapat diterapkan untuk mendapatkan varietas benih unggul serta produksi tinggi. Penelitian ini dilaksanakan di Laboratorium Pengujian Kesehatan Ikan dan Lingkungan (LPKIL) Muntilan Jawa Tengah pada tanggal 17 Desember 2018 hingga 31 Januari 2019. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah metode pengumpulan data, data primer diperoleh dari pengamatan langsung dan data sekunder diperoleh dari studi pustaka. Penelitian ini meliputi kegiatan persiapan kolam, seleksi induk, pemijahan, penetasan telur, pemeliharaan larva, hama dan penyakit serta pemanenan. Parameter yang diamati antara lain fekunditas, fertilization rate, hatching rate dan survival rate. Hasil pengamatan menunjukkan nilai fekunditas, FR (Fertilization Rate), HR (Hatching Rate) dan SR (Survival Rate) pada pemijahan semi buatan secara berturut-turut adalah 297.840 butir telur, 78 %; 96 % dan 34,19 %, sedangkan pada pemijahan alami secara berturut-turut adalah 230.400 butir telur, 84 %; 95 % dan 35,43 %.

Abstract

Probiotik adalah segala bentuk sediaan sel mikroba atau komponen sel mikroba yang mempunyai pengaruh menguntungkan bagi kesehatan dan kehidupan inangnya. Beberapa aditif pakan seperti hormon Antibiotik Growth Promoter (AGP) telah dilarang. Oleh karena itu, saat ini probiotik sering digunakan sebagai bahan tambahan pengganti antibiotik. Probiotik yang banyak digunakan adalah bakteri asam laktat karena dapat meningkatkan efisiensi pencernaan dan penyerapan nutrisi. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui pengaruh pemberian probiotik kombinasi Bacillus coagulans dan Bacillus subtilis dengan dosis 2 ml, 4 ml, dan 6 ml/ekor/hari secara oral terhadap pertambahan bobot badan, konsumsi pakan, dan penurunan konversi pakan. ayam petelur. Penelitian ini dilakukan selama 2 minggu dengan menggunakan ayam pre layer umur 21 minggu sampai 23 minggu sebanyak 24 ekor, diacak menjadi 4 perlakuan dengan 6 ulangan dengan P0 sebagai kontrol, P1 = 2ml, P2 = 4 ml, dan P3 = 6 ml . Probiotik yang digunakan adalah probiotik kombinasi Bacillus coagulans dan Bacillus subtilis dengan konsentrasi 1x107 CFU/ml dalam bentuk cair. Kesimpulannya adalah pemberian oral kombinasi probiotik dengan Bacillus subtilis dan Bacillus coagulans dapat meningkatkan bobot badan, konsumsi pakan, dan menurunkan nilai konversi pakan ayam petelur dengan rendemen tertinggi bila diberikan dosis 4 ml.

Abstract

                                                                  AbstrakBelut sawah (Monopterus albus) merupakan komoditas ikan air tawar yang sangat potensial dibudidayakan saat ini. Belut sawah mempunyai kandungan kolesterol yang cukup tinggi yaitu sebesar 185mg/10gram. Batas kolesterol normal yang dibutuhkan tubuh adalah 160-200 mg per hari. Kandungan kolestrol yang tinggi tidak sebanding dengan kandungan asam lemak tak jenuh daging belut sawah. Kandungan asam lemak tak jenuh pada daging belut sawah sangat kecil yakni α-linolenat acid sebesar 0,46%, EPA sebesar 0,22%, DHA sebesar 2,12%, Linolenat acid sebesar 7,42% dan Arakidonoit acid sebesar 1,75%. Salah satu upaya yang dapat dilakukan untuk menigkatkan Omega-3 dan Omega-6 adalah melalui rekayasa pakan, dengan penambahan suplementasi asam lemak yang berasal dari dari organisme laut yang diharapkan kandungan Omega-3 dan Omega-6 dapat meningkat di daging belut sawah. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan kandungan Omega-3 dan Omega-6 daging belut sawah. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode eksperimental dengan Rancangan Acak lengkap yang terdiri dari lima perlakuan, empat kali ulangan. Analisis data menggunakan uji statistik sidik ragam Analysis of Variant (ANOVA) untuk mengetahui pengaruh perlakuan. Apabila ada perbedaan antar perlakuan dilanjutkan dengan Uji Jarak Berganda Duncan untuk mengetahui perlakuan yang paling baik. Hasil penelitian penambahan minyak ikan lemuru pada pakan komersial menunjukkan perbedaan yang nyata (P<0,05) terhadap kandungan Omega-3 (α-linolenat acid, EPA ,dan DHA) dan kandungan Omega-6 (Linoleat acid dan arakhidonat acid) daging belut sawah. Pemberian minyak ikan lemuru pada dosis 6% dapat meningkatkan kandungan (Omega-3) daging belut sawah α-linolenat acid sebesar 2,75%, EPA sebesar 2,87% dan DHA sebesar 1,29%. Pada dosis 6% minyak ikan lemuru dapat meningkatkan kandungan arakhidonoit acid sebesar 3,77% dan pada dosis 8% dapat meningkatkan kandungan Linoleat acid 4,24% daging belut sawah.                                                                 AbstractEel (Monopterus albus) are mostly bream a potential cultivated currently. Eel has a high cholesterol a month 185mg/10gram. Limit of the normal body needs cholesterol is 160-200 mg per day. The content of high cholesterol are not comparable with the content of unsaturated fatty acids eel meat. The unsaturated fatty acid on meat eel very low at α-linolenat acid of 0,46%, EPA of 0,22%, DHA of 2,12%, Linolenat acid of 7,42% and Arakidonoit acid of 1,75%. One effort can be done to increase omega-3 and omega-6 is through engineering feed, with the addition of supplements fatty acids that originated from marine organisms are expected to Omega-3 content and Omega-6 can increase in the meat eel. Research is aimed to increase Omega-3 content and Omega-6 flesh of eel. This research uses experimental methods to a draft random complete consisting of five treatment, four times remedial. Analysis data using statistical tests fingerprint variety of analysis of variant (ANOVA) to know the influence of treatment. If there are the differences between treatment continued by test distance multiple Duncan to know the best treatment. Research results in additional fish oil lemuru on commercial feed showing significant differences (p<0,05) against the omega-3 (α-linolenat acid, EPA and DHA) and the omega-6 (linoleic acid and arakhidonat acid) of eel. The doses 6% lemuru fish oil can improve the (Omega-3) of eel α-linolenat acid of 2,75%, EPA of 2,87% and DHA 1,29%. On the content doses 6% fish oil lemuru can improve Arachidonic acid of 3,77% and on content doses, 8 % can improve linoleic acid of 4,24 % meat eel.

Abstract

Abstract Carpfish culure have a quiet effort to profit and developed by people, because it have characteristic like adapted with the environtment, have rapid growth and resistance of disease. Carpfish cultivation is often cultivated in mountainous area far from sources of iodine (Cholik etc, 2002 ; Susanto, 1997). This causes iodine contain is very low, carp fish has only 1.7 mg/100g iodine contain. That amount is not sufficient people nutrition needs. Purpose of this study was to increase the iodine contain and growth. Experiment have been conducted in April until May 2011, for 1 month in Aquaculture Development Laboratory Hang Tuah University, Surabaya. Data retrieval was done by observation, direct participation and documentation thechnique. The research method is an experiment method with a completely randomized desigen consisted of 5 treatment and 4 replication, at a dose of 0 mg / kg of feed, 20 mg / kg of feed, 40 mg / kg of feed, 60 mg / kg feed and 80 mg / kg of feed. Each treatment used 15 carp seed (Cyprinus carpio) measuring 5-8 cm is maintained for 30 days. The parameter used include the primary parameter and parameter support. The main parameter of the growth and content the iodine, while supporting the water quality parameter. Result of this study were analized by using analysis of various with an error rate 5% later, followed by Duncan multiple rate test. Result of this study indicate that feeding iodized can increased the growth in wight and iodine content of carp.

Abstract

Abstract The high feed prices caused the cost of feed matters were higher for fish farmers so that needed alternative matter. High prices are caused by fish feed, fish feed ingredients that are imported include fish meal which is the main raw material source of protein to feed the fish so that the necessary alternative feed ingredients for use of fish meal. Maggot can be used as alternative feed matter because it contains crude protein ranged between 30-40% but there are some problems in its production. Media for maggot production used palm kernel meal but the media is hard to find outside of the central plam kernel plantation so as to reduce its use carried out by using a combination of rice bran. Rice bran can be easily to get and can be media for maggot production and low nutrient content of the media production maggot can be corrected through the process of fermentation. This study aims to determine the effect of the combination of media for the production of maggot and find the best combination of media for the production maggot. This research method is to experiment whit Completely Randomized Desing (CRD). The experiment used is 100% palm kernel meal (A), 75% palm kernel meal + 25 rice bran (B), 50% palm kernel meal + 50% rice bran (C), 25% palm kernel meal + 75% rice bran (D) and 100% rice bran with each five replications. The parameters observed were severe maggot production. Analysis of the data used is Analysis of Variance (ANOVA) and to determine the best treatment using Duncan’s Multiple range test with a confidence interval of 5%. The results of this study indicate that the combination of palm kernel meal and rice bran are fermented to give a noticeable effect the production Maggot. The best combination of palm kernel meal and rice bran to produce the highest Maggot is the use of palm kernel meal 75% + 25% rice bran are not significantly different with the use of palm kernel meal 100%. Based on this research result shows that the use of 25% of rice bran can reduce the use of 100% palm kernel meal become only 75% in maggot production.

Abstract

Abstract Feed is one of the factors determines the success of a fish farm. Feed-quality feed stuffs that require high quality also, which still rely on imports, especially fish meal and soybean oilcake. Effort to reduce dependence on import of feed stuff is searching for alternative feed stuffs that the quality is quite good, cheap, easily obtained and can reduce cost of production. One of the feed stuff as an alternative source of animal protein feed that need to be examined is the prawn waste. Prawn waste meal enough potential to be used as fish feed with a crude protein content 45.29% and 17.59% crude fiber was alternative feed stuff for fish meal. The usage of prawn waste as a feed stuff should be through the handling and processing to further improve the nutrient value of waste. Prawn waste processing in this research consists of two ways, that is waste cooking prawn on the high pressure (100 kpa), and conducted fermentation by using probiotic. The existence of microorganisms activity during the fermentation process will cause changes of feed stuffs either through physically and chemicals. Probiotic is a microbe colony that is rich in celulolytic, lignolytic and proteolytic bacteria. The aim of this research is to know the influence probiotic on the prawn waste cooked with high pressure to increase the protein content and to decrease the crude fiber content. Method as used in the research is experimental method. Experiment design that used at research is Completely Randomized Design with 4 treatments and replicates 5 times. To get the data is conducted procsimat analysis on the crude protein content and crude fibers from each experimental unit. That result data analyzed with the Analysis of Varian continued with Duncan’s Multiple Range Test. The results of research is known that dosaged probiotic at process of prawn waste cooked fermentation not different to crude protein contents of the waste cook fermented prawn. Crude fiber content of the waste cook fermented prawn using probiotik (P1, P2, P3) has decreased if compared with waste cooking fermented prawn without using probiotic (P0)

Abstract

Catfish is one of the fish that has a high economical value. Catfish is accepted by society easily because of its advantages. These advantages include fast growing, good adaptive behavior, good taste, high nutrient, and cheap price. One of the factors that determine the success of aquaculture is the availability of adequate food, both quantity and quality. There are several alternative feed ingredients that can be used in the preparation of feed. One of these feed ingredients is azolla flour made from Azolla sp. plant. Azolla sp. plant contains large amount of protein up to 28,12% of its dried weight. Selection of the base material feed using Azolla sp. based on the research results Handajani (2000) which declare that the protein content Azolla sp. which is quite high, namely 28.12% dry weight. The addition of Azolla sp. in catfish feed formulation is expected to improve retention of energy and lower feed conversion ratio. The purpose of this study was to determine the addition of Azolla sp. in feed formulations affect the retention of energy and feed conversion ratio catfish. This research was conducted in July-August in the Faculty of Fisheries and Marine University Airlangga. Research method used in the study was an experimental method with complete random planning. It included five treatments and four repetitions. Treatments that were used included azolla flour inclusion 0%, 5%, 10%, 15% and 20% at the formulated feed. Data analysis that was used included statistic and descriptive. The result of the research shows that energy retention among treatments does not have significant difference. On the other hand, the feed conversion ratio also does not have significant difference. It can be concluded that Azolla sp. inclusion in the catfish feed formulation affects nothing to energy retention and feed conversion ratio.  Keyword : Azolla sp., Clarias sp., Energy Retentiom, Feed Convertion Ratio
