Abstract

Background: Maslow said one of basic human needs was sexual that must be needed because of its direct relation with homeostasis. The sexual need was felt by the elderly in the intitution for elderly or community. Marriage was good a policy to meet sexual need for elderly. Marriage has not happened yet in the institution for elderly at Yogyakarta unit Budhi Luhur. Objective: to know the relation between expectation of accomplishment of sexual requirement and the motivation to marry of elderly in the institution for elderly at Yogyakarta Unit Budhi Luhur. Method: This study was analytic descriptive research type with cross-sectional approach. The study sample was elderly in the institution for elderly at Yogyakarta Unit Budhi Luhur not having a spouse, still able to communicate verbally and or in writing; and willing to become sample. Instrument used consisted of questionnaire concerning expectation of accomplishment of sexual requirement of male and female elder people. Focus Group discussion (FGD) was conducted twice, of a male and female elderly group. The product moment correlation coefficient statistic was used to test the result. Result: There are no relation between expectation of accomplishment of requirement of man sexual and the motivation to marry male elderly, with r= 0,180 and p= 0,448 (p›0,05). There was no relation between expectation of accomplishment of requirement with the motivation to marry female elderly, with r= -0,231 and p= 0,256 (p>0,05). Conclusion: There are no relations between expectations of accomplishment of sexual requirement and the motivation to marry in the isntitution elderly at Yogyakarta Unit Budhi Luhur. Abstract

Background: Nursing Study Program as a new program in Faculty of Medicine Gadjah Mada University opens 2 admission program which are program A and program B. Program A for students graduated from senior high school and program B for students graduated from Nursing Academy. This study only explores for program A because the students do not understand yet about nursing before, thut we can understand inside motivation of the students.Purpose: This study was done to explore factors that motivate students both instrinsic and extrinsic motivation. Instrinsic motivations such as to improve knowledge and to get a job. Extrinsic motivations such as suggestion from others, self esteem and acknowledgement motivation.Method: The method from this study is explorative descriptive. The number of respon-dent is 109 respondents consist of 57 Program A students in semester 2 and 52 pro-gram A students in semester 4. Data collection used a close questionnaire which has been tried before with the validity level of 0.303 – 0.826 and the reliability level of 0.93. Result and Conclusion: Result of this study showed that 1) majority of respondents agreed that their motivation is to improve their knowledge; 2) only half of respondents agreed that their motivation is to get a job; 3) only a small number of respondents agreed that their motivation are to follow the suggestion from others and to have achieve-ment from people.Conclusions the vast majority of the motivation are improve their knowledge and to get a job, and only small number of the studens are to follow the suggestion from others, self esteem and acknowledgement motivation. For recommen-dation that students who have a good motivation should be maintained motivations and for students who have extrinsic motivation should be improve by developing instrinsic motivation. Abstract

Role and motivation of mental health nurse in “restraint free” program: a case study from MataramPurposeThis study aimed to describe the mental health nurse’s role and motivation of the implementation of a ‘restraint free’ program (program bebas pasung) at community health centers, Mataram, West Nusa Tenggara.MethodsThis was a qualitative research with case study design. The subjects were ten nurses of mental health programs, three persons from families of sufferers, two employees of community health service and one person who was a former sufferer of a mental disorder. Data collection used focus group discussions (FDG), in-depth interviews and observations. ResultsThe nurses had been carrying out their role as executors of nursing care policy, as the direct nursing caregivers, and were giving the nursing to sufferers and their families as well as continuing therapy for sufferers, and as educators also educated the family. Mental health information provided guidance to intern students doing mapping of cases of mental disorders and empowering the sufferer. The form of the work involves motivation of nurses while working conditions were a factor that cannot support nurses for giving the nursing care to suffers and family. ConclusionNurses have been implementing a ‘restraint free’ program. however, it has not been always well received in the working conditions experienced. So, it is recommended that mental health nurses be given help and support partners or stakeholders to enhance preventive efforts, in their promotive, curative and rehabilitative programmes.

Abstract

This study aimed to determine changes in the level of anxiety and the level of dependency Activity Daily Living ( ADL ) after cognitive therapy in patients with mental disorders. This research method is Quasi Experiment study, pretest and posttest mean cognitive design.Therapy can reduce the level of anxiety, while not statistically significant for patients with mental disorders at the Hospital Grhasia DIY. As for the fulfillment ADL disorders in patients with mental disorders either average or of calculation is statistically significantly may improve fulfillment ADL independently. The results study can suggested to readers that: Hospitals should promote cognitive therapy for patients with depression and anxiety disorder ADL compliance.

Abstract

Abstract: This study aims to determine differences in job satisfactionof nurses in three rooms with a nursing care delivery system by themethod of PNPM, Preparation and non PNPM PNPM GrhasiaHospital Yogyakarta. The method used was a cross sectional studywith comparative descriptive approach. The results show that nursesat PNPM is largely at the level of job satisfaction is high (77.78%).Meanwhile, in the preparation of non-PNPM PNPM and 100% ofnurses are in high satisfaction rates. The statistical results showed nodifference in job satisfaction between PNPM, PNPM preparation,and non PNPM.

Abstract

The home industry for coconut jam and VCO in Moiso village does not yet have a PIRT number so that the marketing of these two products is still limited. This is because they do not have knowledge related to PIRT management. Assistance is needed from parties who understand this. In the management of PIRT, there are stages of food safety education. Food safety education was attended by the home industry coordinator and his team. In this counseling material was presented on food safety, food packaging and labeling, the application of CPPB and food processing technology. There are pre-test and post-test at the beginning and end of the activity to assess participants' mastery before and after being given food safety education. The results of the counseling show that home industries are entitled to PIRT with several improvements to level 1 or 2. Several things need to be improved, including improving the position of the production site so that it is not close to the WC, storage areas for materials and tools to be more organized, sources of clean water for more production guaranteed continuity. Moiso's home industry has received a Food Safety certificate from the West Halmahera Health Office.

Abstract

The increasing use of traditional medicines derived from natural ingredients is increasingly being attracted by the community, so that many traditional medicine UMKM have emerged, especially at the Micro Traditional Medicine (UMOT) level. This service aims to assist UMOT in the City of Ternate in gradually fulfilling CPOTB aspects to obtain BPOM permits. The service method is carried out in several stages, namely the socialization of the application of CPOTB, guidance on the preparation of CPOTB documents, assistance for the application of CPOTB and registration assistance to obtain phase I CPOTB certificates. This service resulted in several advances in UMOT Qonita Production, namely the completion of phase 1 CPOTB documents to carry out online registration.

Abstract

Background: Sleman District Government through the Child Friendly City (Kota Layak Anak/KLA) has a child-friendly school program in the form of inclusive school. The implementation of inclusive education in Indonesia has not met the current standard. There has been no further study regarding the behavior of children with special needs in inclusive schools and how teacher handle their behaviors in Sleman. Therefore, research on the experience of classroom teachers in finding and handling behavior of children with special needs in inclusive primary school of Sleman Regency is important.Objective: To describe the experience of classroom teachers in finding and handling behavior of children with special needs in inclusive primary school Sleman Regency.Method: This research was qualitative with phenomenology approach. The subjects were six class teachers, six parents/guardians, and two education-office civil servants whom were selected by purposive sampling method. Data obtained from the results of in-depth interviews were processed using content analysis.Result: Children with special needs had several behavioral problems, i.e: internalizing problems in the form of anxiety, somatic disorder, and withdrawal; externalizing issues (behavior) in the form of aggressive behavior, and destructive behavior; other behavioral problems such as attention disorder, thought problem, and social problem. The handling of children with special needs at school was based on the strategy of the school and its classroom teacher.Conclusion: There are five themes in this research that are internalizing (emotion) children with special needs, externalizing (behavioral) problem of children with special needs, other behavior problem, classroom teacher strategy in handling children with special needs behavior, and school strategy in handling children with special needs behavior.ABSTRAKLatar belakang: Pemerintah Kabupaten Sleman melalui program Kota Layak Anak (KLA) mempunyai program sekolah ramah anak yang diimplementasikan dalam sekolah inklusi. Pelaksanaan pendidikan inklusi di Indonesia masih belum memenuhi standar yang ada. Belum ada kajian lebih lanjut mengenai sekolah inklusi di Kabupaten Sleman khususnya mengenai perilaku Anak Berkebutuhan Khusus (ABK) di sekolah inklusi dan bagaimana penanganan perilaku yang telah dilakukan guru di sekolah. Oleh karena itu, penelitian tentang pengalaman guru kelas dalam menemukan perilaku pada anak berkebutuhan khusus dan penanganannya di sekolah dasar inklusi Kabupaten Sleman, penting untuk dilakukan.Tujuan: Mengetahui pengalaman guru kelas dalam menemukan perilaku pada anak berkebutuhan khusus dan penanganannya di sekolah dasar inklusi Kabupaten Sleman.Metode: Jenis penelitian ini adalah kualitatif, menggunakan pendekatan fenomenologi. Subjek penelitian adalah 6 guru kelas, 6 orang tua/wali, dan 2 pegawai dinas yang dipilih dengan purposive sampling. Data diperoleh dari hasil wawancara mendalam. Data dianalisis menggunakan analisis konten.Hasil: ABK mempunyai beberapa masalah perilaku, yaitu masalah internalizing (emosi) yang meliputi kecemasan, gangguan somatis, dan menarik diri; masalah externalizing (perilaku) yang meliputi perilaku agresif dan perilaku merusak; serta masalah perilaku lainnya, seperti gangguan perhatian, masalah pemikiran, dan masalah sosial. Penanganan ABK di sekolah dilakukan berdasarkan strategi dari sekolah dan yang dilakukan oleh guru kelas.Kesimpulan: Terdapat lima tema dalam penelitian ini, yaitu masalah internalizing (emosi) ABK, masalah externalizing (perilaku) ABK, masalah perilaku lainnya, strategi guru kelas dalam penanganan perilaku ABK, dan strategi sekolah dalam penanganan perilaku ABK.

Abstract

Background: Not much is known about the impact of health education in reducing anxiety levels in pre-cataract surgery patients in Indonesia.Objective: The aim of this study was to compare the effectiveness of counseling and lecture methods using leaflet in reducing anxiety levels  among pre-cataract surgery patients in Central Java, Indonesia.Methods: This was quasi experiment with pretest- posttest design with two comparative groups at two hospitals in November 2014. It was 70 preoperative cataract patients selected using total sampling, which 35 randomly assigned to intervention group 1 and intervention group 2. The Analog Anxiety Scale (AAS) was used to measure anxiety levels. Data were analyzed using paired t-test and independent t-test.Results: There was a significant effect of health education using counseling and lecture method with leaflet media in reducing anxiety levels among preoperative cataract patients (p=.001). A counseling method was more effective than lecture method in dealing with anxiety levels (p=.001).Conclusion: Findings of this study can be used as a basis for development of nursing intervention in the hospital setting to reduce the anxiety levels among pre-cataract surgery patients.
