Abstract

This study is a research and development of teaching materials of concept map-based on inquiry strategy with the aim of testing the feasibility of the device through three indicators, namely: (a) the validity, (b) the effectiveness, and (c) the practicality. The subjects used in this study are three experts namely 2 professors and 1 doctor, and 24 students of chemical education class who take college organic chemistry 1.? Research carried out for four weeks. The results showed that the teaching material to developed: (1) to have the validity of the theory with good category; (2) has practicality in learning; (3) has the effectiveness, because? capable of improving learning achievement and higher level thinking skills shown by the increasing score gain in the category of medium? or high.

Abstract

This research aims to determine that the implementation of the POE (predict-observe-explain) strategy can be used to correct misconceptions in thermochemistry. This research uses One Group Pretest-Posttest Design. This research was conducted in class XI MIA 5 students at Bhayangkari 3 Porong Senior High School. The sample used was 33 students who were divided into 6 heterogeneous groups. The students are given a conceptual understanding test as pretest and posttest in the form of a three-tier diagnostic test which amounts 20 questions. After pretest the next stage is to do remediation given learning process using worksheet of POE strategy. Then the results of pretest and posttest were then analyzed using Wilcoxon signed rank test. The result is POE (predict-observe-explain) strategy can be used to correct misconceptions in thermochemistry sub-topic for students in class XI of Bhayangkari 3 Porong Senior High School. This is indicated by a decrease in the percentage of students' misconceptions from 66.36% to 6.36%. In addition, based on the Wilcoxon Sign Rank Test, Asymp. Sig (2-Tailed) has 0 value, it means hypothesis 0 is rejected, which means there is a significant influence on the implementation of learning with POE strategies to improve the student’s status of knowing the concept.

Abstract

This research aims prevent student?s misconception to the concept of chemical equilibrium. Misconceptions prevention performed was using a modified inquiry model.Subject in this research arestudents science grade XI in SMAN Kabuh  Jombang.This research is pre-experiment with one group pretest - posttest design. Identification of misconceptions used Three Tier Test method. The resulted discrete data was analyzed using qualitative descriptive and continu data  was analyzed using inferential statistics, namely the Mann-Whitney test, t-Test, and Wilcoxon?s Sign Rank Test.A modified inquiry learning models successfully preventedstuedent?s misconceptionbut still remained the burden of misconceptions. Based on inferential statistical test with thesignificance level of 95% it can be concluded that the science classes decreased significantly the level of burdenof misconceptions as the impact of learning a modified inquiry models.Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mencegah miskonsepsi siswa pada konsep kesetimbangan kimia. Pencegahan terjadinya miskonsepsi dilakukan dengan menggunakan model pembelajaran modified inquiry. Sasaran penelitian adalah siswa kelas XI IPA di SMAN Kabuh Kabupaten Jombang.Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian pra-eksperimen dengan one group pretest-posttest design. Identifikasi miskonsepsi menggunakan metode Three Tier Test. Teknik analisis data diskrit menggunakan deskriptif kualitatif dan data kontinyu menggunakan statistik inferensial yaitu: Mann-Whitney Test,t-Test, dan Wilcoxon?s Sign Rank Test.Pembelajaran menggunakan modified inquiry berhasil mencegah miskonsepsi siswa dan membuat siswa menjadi tahu konsep, tetapi masih menyisakan beban miskonsepsi siswa. Dengan menggunakan uji statistik inferensial pada taraf kepercayaan 95% dapat disimpulkan bahwa pada kelas penelitian terjadi penurunan secara signifikan beban miskonsepsi siswa sebagai dampak pembelajaran menggunakan modified inquiry.

Abstract

The main aim of this research are to describe (1) cognitive learning outcomes of students who were taught using the cognitive apprenticeship using reciprocal teaching (RT), scardamalia and bereiter?s F.W (SB), and schoenfeld problem solving (SPS) strategies and (2) metacognitive skill level of students who are taught using the cognitive apprenticeship with RT, SB, and SPS strategies. This type of research is experimental research using the static group pretest-posttest design consisting of three classes of experiments with different treatments. Research subjects are students of XI IPA 2 SMA Darul Ulum Unggulan BPPT Jombang by the number of each class of experiments is 22 students. Instruments used are in the form of test and questionnaire. Students' cognitive learning outcomes data obtained will be analyzed with one way ANOVA using SPSS 19 and questionnaire data will be described.The result of data analysis revealed that Ho is rejected and Hi is accepted. It means that there was differences in cognitive learning outcomes of students who were taught using the cognitive apprenticeship with RT, SB, and SPS strategies. Metacognitive skill level of individual students experiencing increased tendency for RT, SB, and SPS class, while the average grade of students' metacognitive skills is in grade 3, developing grade for RT and SB class, while grade of students' metacognitive skills is in grade 4, ok grage for SPS class. It can be concluded that the cognitive apprenticeship learning with SPS strategy can be used to teach metacognitive skills with more scaffolding and advised to use RT and SB strategies for suitable characteristics topic (reading and writing)Tujuan utama penelitian ini adalah untuk mendeskripsikan (1) Hasil belajar kognitif siswa yang diajarkan menggunakan magang kognitif dengan strategi reciprocal teaching (RT), scardamalia and bereiter?s F.W (SB), dan schoenfeld problem solving (SPS), (2) Tingkat keterampilan metakognitif siswa yang diajarkan menggunakan magang kognitif dengan strategi RT, SB, dan SPS. Jenis penelitian yang dilakukan adalah experimental research menggunakan static group pretest- postest design yang terdiri dari tiga kelas eksperimen dengan perlakuan yang berbeda-beda. Subjek penelitian yaitu siswa kelas XI IPA SMA Darul Ulum 2 Unggulan BPPT Jombang dengan jumlah masing-masing kelas eksperimen adalah 22 siswa. Instrumen yang digunakan berupa soal tes dan angket. Data hasil belajar kognitif siswa yang diperoleh akan dianalisis dengan anava satu jalur menggunakan SPSS 19 dan data angket akan dideskripsikan. Hasil analisis data menunjukkan terdapat perbedaan hasil belajar kognitif siswa yang diajar menggunakan magang kognitif dengan strategi RT, SB, dan SPS. Tingkat keterampilan metakognitif siswa secara individual mengalami kecendrungan meningkat untuk kelas RT, SB, dan SPS, sedangkan secara rata - rata kelas tingkat keterampilan metakognitif siswa berada pada tingkat 3 yaitu tingkat developing untuk kelas RT, dan SB, sedangkan untuk kelas SPS berada pada tingkat 4 yaitu tingkat ok. Disimpulkan bahwa pembelajaran magang kognitif dengan strategi SPS dapat digunakan untuk mengajarkan keterampilan metakognitif, dengan pendampingan yang lebih maksimal dan disarankan untuk menerapkan strategi RT dan SB pada topik yang memiliki karakteristik yang sesuai yaitu membaca dan menulis

Abstract

The purpose of this research is to produce a prototype of teacher?s book and student?s book, that is  valid, practical, and effective to facilitate students scientific creativity. This research is conducted through three phases, namely define, design, and develop. Those prototypes are try out in  VII grade  SMPN 30 Surabaya academic year 2014/2015 with one-group pretest-posttest design. Data are colleted using observation method, tests, and questionnaires. Data are analyzed quantitatively and qualitatively. The results showed that 1) the prototype of teacher?s and student?s book are categorized valid; 2) Learning using the prototipe of teacher?s book looked at from the implementation of learning package categorized as practice and students activity in line with the steps of discovery learning; 3) The effectiveness of learning of the prototype of teacher?s book viewed from the increattement of student?s scientific creativity score according to paired sample pretest and posttest in significant < 0,05. Students response  to learning package and the implementation  is very positive. It can be concluded that the prototipe of teacher?s book and students book is valid, practice and effective to train students scientific creativity. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menghasilkan Prototipe Buku Guru dan buku siswa yang valid, praktis, dan efektif untuk melatihkan kreativitas ilmiah siswa. Penelitian ini dilaksanakan dengan menggunakan tiga tahap dari model 4-D (Four-D Model), yaitu tahap pendefinisian (define), perancangan (design), pengembangan (develop) dan diujicobakan di kelas VII SMPN 30 Surabaya semester genap tahun ajaran 2014/2015 dengan One-Group Pretest-Posttest Design. Pengumpulan data menggunakan metode observasi, tes, dan angket. Teknik analisis data menggunakan analisis deskriptif kuantitatif dan kualitatif. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan: 1) Prototipe Buku Guru dan buku siswa yang dikembangkan berkategori valid; 2) Pembelajaran menggunakan Prototipe Buku Guru ditinjau dari keterlaksanaan RPP berkategori praktis dan aktivitas siswa sesuai dengan tahap-tahap pada model penemuan terbimbing; dan 3) Keefektivan Prototipe Buku Guru pembelajaran ditinjau dari: Peningkatan kreativitas ilmiah siswa terlihat dari signifikansi menggunakan uji Paired Sample Test pretest dan posttest sig < 0.05 dan respon siswa terhadap perangkat dan pelaksanaan pembelajaran sangat positif. Prototipe Buku Guru dan buku siswa yang dikembangkan disimpulkan valid, praktis, dan efektif untuk melatihkan kreativitas ilmiah siswa.

Abstract

This research aims to explain learning application using model pembelajaran pemaknaan on chemical bonding topic including  the  student activities, students response and learning outcome of the students?character of honest, discipline and cooperative. The subject are students of the tenth grade at SMKN 3 Buduran Sidoarjo at the second semester in 2011-2012. In research, it was used pre experimental research by the replication of three times using the design of one group pretest and posttest. Based on the data that had been analyzed were obtained some findings a) observation of learning activity conducted was well b) the observation of  students?  characters  during the learning activities  were very good predicate in honest, dicipline and cooperative. Based on experimental result and discussion it can be concluded that the implementation of the model pembelajaran pemaknaan could develop the astudents? character of an honest, disciplined and cooperative. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menjelaskankan  penerapan model pembelajaran pemaknaan pada materi ikatan kimia terhadap keterlaksanaan pembelajaran, aktivitas siswa, respon siswa dan pengembangan karakter jujur, disiplin dan kerjasama siswa. Subyek penelitian adalah siswa kelas X SMKN 3 Buduran Sidoarjo pada semester II tahun ajaran 2011-2012. Jenis penelitian pre eksperimen, menggunakan desain penelitian  one group pretest postest dengan replikasi tiga kali. Berdasarkan analisis data penelitian diperoleh temuan a) pengamatan terhadap keterlaksanaan pembelajaran berkategori baik b) pengamatan terhadap karakter  jujur, disiplin dan kerjasama selama proses pembelajaran mengalami peningkatan dengan berpredikat baik. Berdasarkan hasil dan diskusi penelitian dapat disimpulkan bahwa penerapan model pembelajaran pemaknaan dapat mengembangkan karakter jujur, disiplin dan kerjasama siswa.

Abstract

This research  is  purposed  to  develop  learning  instrument  of  chemical  analysis  for  eleventh  grade  of vocational high school student on the material of conducting water analysis and mineral through guided discovery learning model. This research is designed using Dick and Carey model whereas the experimental  design using One Group  Pretest-Posttest  Design.  This  finding  research  is learning  instrument  materials  which  developed  generally becomes acceptable or good. The analysis result of hand book and work book literacy are understandable and literate for student. The implementation of lesson plan is good but students activity for observing, discussing, and delivering opinion are dominant with 19%, 16%, and 13% respectively. Based on minimum completeness, guided discover y learning model also gave influence for students learning result which is on complete category. This research also described that N-gain comprehensions of concept average and critical thinking ability are on high category level. Students response to guided discovery learning model is good. Base on this research, it completely concluded that learning on the material of conducting water analysis and mineral using guided discovery model is able to encourage students concept comprehension and critical thinking ability.Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengembangkan perangkat pembelajaran Kimia Analisis siswa SMK kelas XI pada pokok bahasan Melakukan Analisis Air dan Mineral (MAAM) melalui model pembelajaran guided discovery. Desain pengembangan pada penelitian ini menggunakan model Dick and Carey, sedangkan rancangan uji coba menggunakan One Group Pretest-Posttest Design. Temuan penelitian ini yaitu perangkat pembelajaran yang dikembangkan secara umum berkategori baik. Hasil analisis keterbacaan BAS dan LKS mudah dipahami dan terbaca oleh siswa. Keterlaksanaan  RPP berkategori  baik sedangkan aktivitas siswa yang dominan adalah melakukan pengamatan, berdiskusi,  dan berpendapat  masing-masing  adalah 19%, 16%, dan 13%. Berdasarkan tinjauan Kriteria Ketuntasan Minimal (KKM), model pembelajaran guided discovery juga memberikan pengaruh pada hasil belajar siswa yang berada pada kategori tuntas. Hasil penelitian ini juga menunjukkan bahwa N-gain rata-rata pemahaman konsep dan keterampilan berpikir kritis berada pada kategori tinggi. Respon siswa terhadap pembelajaran dengan model guided discovery dinilai baik.  Berdasarkan  hasil  tersebut,  disimpulkan  bahwa  pembelajaran  pada  pokok  bahasan  Melakukan  Analisis Air  dan Mineral (MAAM) melalui model guided discovery dapat melatihkan pemahaman konsep dan keterampilan berpikir kritis siswa SMK

Abstract

The research purposed to know the implementation result of the learning model of pemaknaan on the topic of acid base titration could be used to develop on the eleventh grade students? character of SMAN 1 Krian. In the research, it was used pre-experimental research by the replication of three times using the design of one group pretest and posttest design. This  reseach used the data analysis of qualitative descriptive to apply on lesson plan (RPP). The learning outcome of students? character was analized by qualitative descriptive and would be continued by Mann-Whitney test for it?s replication. The results were reported that: (1) The lesson plan (RPP) was made based on syntax of the learning model of pemaknaan was conducted very well, (2) The implementation of this model could develop the students? character. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui hasil penerapan model pembelajaran pemaknaan pada materi titrasi asam basa terhadap perkembangan karakter siswa kelas XI SMAN 1 Krian. Jenis penelitian yang digunakan adalah pre-eksperimen replikasi tiga kali melalui One Group Pretest and Posttest Design. Analisis data yang digunakan adalah deskriptif kualitatif untuk keterlaksanaan RPP. Hasil belajar karakter siswa dianalisis dengan deskriptif kualitatif yang dilanjutkan dengan uji Mann-Whitney untuk antar hasil replikasi. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan RPP yang disusun sesuai sintaks model pembelajaran pemaknaan berjalan dengan sangat baik, penerapan model pembelajaran pemaknaan dapat mengembangkan karakter siswa.

Abstract

This research aims to develop chemistry learning materials PBM models oriented in curriculum 2013 to improve learning outcomes of high school students on the material factors that affect the rate of reaction. This research is the development by using Kemp models,et al. Limited trial design uses one group pretest posttest design with descriptive analysis techniques of quantitative and qualitative descriptive. This study uses the subject of the trial class XI SMA-Based Leading Pesantren Amanatul Ummah 2015-2016 school year on the subject of factors that affect the rate of reaction. The results showed: (1) The quality of the device can be seen from the validation RPP, validation BAS, validation worksheets, and validation of THB categorized either by reading level easily understood, (2) practicality of the device can be seen from Keterlaksanaan RPP categorized very well, (3) Effectiveness learning tools can be seen from the thoroughness of individual student learning outcomes and the traditional, the effectiveness is also supported by the positive response of students to study indicated 95.83% of students who give a positive response. Based on data analysis can be concluded that the learning device by problem-oriented in curriculum 2013 on material factors that influence the reaction rate meets the criteria of quality, practicality, and effectiveness so that used in learning.

Abstract

This study aimed to determine the effectiveness of Problem-Based Learning (PBL) model based on Socio-scientific Issues (SSI) to improve the ability of science literacy on climate change materials. This type of research is a 4-D model development with research design using One Group pretest-posttest design. Subjects in this study are learning devices IPA with PBS model based on SSI which is tested in this II test phase in grade VII students at SMP Negeri 1 Bangsal Mojokerto as many as 3 classes. The technique of data analysis for the result of science literacy test in learning is data of pre-test result and post-test of student that function to know improvement of science literacy of student before and after learning. This increase is known through N-Gain analysis. Based on the results of the research, it can be concluded that the learning tools of IPA with Problem Based Learning (PBL) model based on Socio-scientific Issues (SSI) to improve scientific literacy ability on climate change material developed has been effective so it is feasible to be used in learning
