Abstract

The developing of nomor acak learning model aims to improve the effectiveness of students’ learning in some subjects. This learning model emphasises on students’ readiness on learning process. This research implemented Research and Development method with four stages which are literature review, designing model, implementation and evaluation, and editing and publication. In designing model random number, it was found five learning syntaxes that consists of preparation, implementation of nomor acak model in learning process, evaluation, conclusion, and giving motivation. After applying this method four times, questionnaire was given to 83 students for evaluation, and the result showed that this method can improve learning effectiveness at level of 79,83%. It can be concluded that random number learning model can improve learning effectiveness.

Abstract

Learning models that are always evolving make researchers interested in developing to learning models. This research try to introduce nomor acak learning models to physics students in the FKIP of Riau University to Management Education course. Nomor acak models is a learning model that emphasizes that students are active during the learning process, this model has been designed before its and is still tried in a small scope. This research uses action research method by describing all activities carried out during one semester in accordance with the stages of the model with the steps of preparation, implementation, evaluation, conclusion and motivation. From the results of the implementation for one semester the average grades of class A and B are as follows: midterm exam 85.14, final exams 81.83, Weight, 84.5, Obtaining a value of A17.5 (45.46%), Value of A-16, 5 (42.85%), Value of B+ 4.5 (11.68%). From the learning outcomes that appear after the end of this semester it can be seen that the nomor acak learning models is able to increase the value of students.

Abstract

The development of teaching materials for teachers facilitates the learning process as a learning medium to transfer knowledge to students. Graphic organizer is a visual communication tool to express ideas and concepts to convey meaning. The development of media-based reading teaching materials graphic organizer uses development research methods by passing the defining phase which is carried out by two-aspect analysis, namely analysis of the needs and analysis of students, and the development stage is analyzed by the readers technical concepts and exercises in the reading process. The next stage of teaching materials is validated by experts and practitioners about the feasibility of the content obtained an average of 87 with the category Very decent to use in learning to read comprehension in class IV elementary school.

Abstract

Abstrac: The reearch is based on the outcomes of student’s learning. This is because the teachers are not able to optimize the use of media in learning, they always use the lecture method and make students bored quickly. This study aims to apply the type of cooverative learning model make a match to increase the learning outcomes of the science students in Public Elementary School 136 class VB. This research is a classroom action reserch, the results of the study shoow that the science learning outcomes of the VB class students inceased after the cooperative learning model make a match was implemented. This is priven by the in cerease learning outomes, the results of the study obtained an average basic score of 63,61 increased in the cycle I by 13.75% to 72.36%. In the cycle II the average score of students also inceased by 26.20% to 800.28. On the basic score students classical mastery of science learning is 28.94% (incomplete). After applying the cooperative learning model type make a match in the cycle I the classical learning completenes of thhe students increased to 68.42% (incomplete), in the cycle II students classical learning completeness increased to 86.42% (complete).Key Words: Make a Match, Science Learning

Abstract

The nomor acak learning model is done by randomly giving number to each student and making them remember it from the beginning to the end of the lecture. The function was to make each student be more active in the teaching and learning activities, since they must be prepared with their respective material if the number was called. This research employed a quasi-experimental research method with one group pre-test/post-test design. The determinant coefficient data of the effect of nomor acak models on the effectiveness of primary teacher education students obtained a class A data of 58.21%, class B of 36% and class C of 23%. This research was conducted at the primary teacher education program for six months in the Basic Concepts of Art courses to students of 2018. It could be concluded that the nomor acak learning model could improve the learning outcomes of students of the primary teacher education program in the Basic Concepts of Art course.

Abstract

Abstract: This research was motivated by the low social studies learning outcomes of VA students in SDN 37 Pekanbaru on social studies subject. Can be seen from the determined KKM is 75, from 32 students who reached the KKM were 15 people (46.87%) and those who did not reach the KKM were 17 people (53.12%) with a class average of 71.56. This study aims to know the teacher activities, student activities and student learning outcomes in learning through the TSTS model on social studies subject in VA students at SDN 37 Pekanbaru. This research is a classroom action research, this research was conducted in SDN 37 Pekanbaru. The subjects in this study were VA class with 32 students. This study was conducted in two cycles with four steps, such as: planning, implementation, observation and reflection. The results of this study announced after applying the TSTS type cooperative learning model can improve social studies learning outcomes. This can be proven by: teacher activity in the first cycle of 62.5% in the second cycle 83.33%. The activity of students in the first cycle obtained 58.33%, in the second cycle was 83.33. Learning outcomes at the base score were 71.56, increasing in the first cycle of 75.93 and in the second cycle of 86.25. Based on the results of this study, it can be concluded that the application of the cooperative learning model of the TSTS type can improve the social studies learning outcomes in VA class at SDN 37 PekanbaruKey Words: Cooperative Learning Model TSTS type, Social Studies Learning Outcomes

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to develop appropriate reading teaching materials for use in elementary schools. The study used the 4D research method by developing reading teaching materials using the DRTA strategy in predicting reading. Several analyzes the defining phase of needs analysis, including curriculum, concepts, and tasks. While in the study of students about the suitability of teaching materials developed with the level of student development. The design phase of teaching material development begins with the design of RPP with the curriculum. The format and preparation of teaching materials are modified from the cover, preface, table of contents, usage instructions, concept maps, competencies to be achieved, tasks, and work instructions. The development phase includes the validation of teaching materials and RPP. Then the product is tested to see the practicality and effectiveness of the teaching materials that have been developed. Research results explained RPP validation for aspects of learning objectives with an average of 94 very valid and aspects of learning material with 100 very valid. The dissemination stage of the assessment process for reading skills is done using an assessment rubric. The average class value at meeting 1 is 93.34. The second meeting is 89.142. The third meeting is 85.92 with an overall average of 89.46 with a very good category. The assessed aspects are several student skills, from predicting reading activities, reading techniques, filling in the meaning of words that have not been understood, writing down the main contents of the reading text, and summarizing the summary of the reading contents.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengembangkan media pembelajaran diorama pada pembelajaran IPS kelas IV sekolah dasar dan mengetahui kelayakan dari media diorama. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode penelitian dan pengembangan atau Reserch and Development (R&D) dengan menggunakan model 4D (Define, Design ,Develop, Diseminate). Penggembangan ini akan menciptakan suatu produk yang telah disesuaikan dengan Kompetensi Dasar (KD) yang digunakan yaitu mengidentifikasi kegiatan ekonomi dan hubungannya dengan bidang pekerjaan. Teknik pengumpulan data pada penelitian dengan cara angket dan uji coba. Kelayakan media pembelajaran diorama diperoleh dari hasil validasi dan respon dari siswa dan guru. Validasi dilakukan oleh ahli media dan ahli materi. Uji coba yang dilakukan yaitu uji coba terbatas kepada 23 siswa kelas IV sekolah dasar. Hasil uji coba oleh validasi materi dengan katagori sangat layak, dan juga  validasi  ahli media dengan katagori sangat layak. Hasil penelitian yang dikembangkanan ini menunjukan bahwa media diorama untuk pembelajaran IPS kelas IV sekolah dasar sangat layak digunakan dalam pembelajaran.

Abstract

Ecological intelligence is an ability or competence that a person has in adapting to the circumstances of the surrounding environment and can apply it in daily life. In this study, researchers conducted research on how ecological intelligence in elementary school students in the high class in terms of skills. Ecological intelligence in terms of skills includes the skills of using and utilizing resources, living in harmony with environmental preservation, solving environmental problems, and skills in environmental responsibility. This type of research is quantitative descriptive research, the main data source (primary data) obtained from questionnaires given to respondents and the results of interviews and documentation which is support data (secondary data). The results of this study show that the ecological intelligence of elementary school students in high class is classified as skilled (89.89%). When viewed from each indicator, the ecological intelligence of elementary school students in the high class is also categorized as skilled. This proves that elementary school students in the high class have begun to understand how important it is to protect the environment and also students already care about the surrounding environment.

Abstract

The purpose of this research is to improve students reading comprehension at the fourth grade of SD Muhammadiyah 6 Pekanbaru. The type of this research was classroom action research, which was in two cycles. The result showed that there was an increasing students’ reading comprehension ability in each cycle. The average grade score of students reading comprehension before implementing PQ4R learning method was 68. After the implementation of PQ4R method at cycle I, the average grade score increased to 76 with a large increased of 12%. In the second cycle, the score increased to 84 with a large increased of 23%. In the cycle I, the teacher’s activities in the first meeting were 62.5% in moderate criteria. Then, in the second meeting, the percentage increased to 70.8% in moderate criteria. Then in the cycle II, the teacher’ activities in the first meeting the percentage became 83.3% in high criteria and in the second meeting increased to 87.5% in very high criteria. In the cycle I, the students’ activites in the first meeting were 58.3% in low criteria. In the second meeting, it increased to 66.7% in moderate criteria. In the cycle II, the students’ activities in the first meeting had the percentage becoming 79.2% in high criteria and then increased to 83.3% in high criteria on the second category. The result of the research proves that the application of PQ4R method can improve students’ reading comprehension ability.
