Abstract

This study aims to determine the feasibility of learning media in the form of videos with the help of camtasia software on number material using the R & D (Research and Development) methodology with ADDIE models (Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation, Evaluation). This research was conducted at Cirebon State MTs 2 Cirebon in class VII. The research instrument used was an interview questionnaire for teachers and students, a practicality questionnaire for students and a validation sheet for three lecturers as well as a mathematics teacher. From the results of the instruments in the form of interview questionnaires students are clear that students prefer learning with the presence of learning media and the results of teacher interviews that result in a lack of facilities for the learning process using learning media. The instrument results in the form of a validation questionnaire produce an average score of 85% (very valid), so that it can be said that the learning media in the form of videos are valid and can be used. The instrument of practicality questionnaire filled by nine students with three high-ability students, three moderate-capable students, three low-ability students produced an average score of 86.77%, it can be said that the practice was very high. Based on the results of each instrument, it can be stated that the learning media in the form of CD-shaped videos is practical and can be used.

Abstract

This research about an instructional module design for mathematical communication skills and student motivation. This type of research is descriptive qualitative research in the form of a didactic design. Research background by the barriers to learning (learning obstacle) experienced by students regarding the material rectangle and related mathematical communication skills in junior high school students of class VII. One solution to overcome learning obstacles experienced by students is designing learning modules in order to facilitate the students to understand the material rectangular and square and encourage mathematical communication skills. The study aims to: (1) know learning obstacles experienced by students; (2) knowing how to design a learning module that is valid in accordance with learning obstacles experienced by students; (3) describe the intervention of teachers in implementing the learning modules; and (4) determine students' motivation after learning using learning modules. His research interests are students of class VII C SMP Negeri 1 palimanan. The results of this study indicate the existence of two kinds of learning obstacles experienced by students, the learning module valid after being revised in accordance with the advice of the fifth validator validation learning modules percentage reached 86.80% with a very valid criteria or can be used without revision, intervention by teachers during the implementation of the learning modules in the form of anticipation of didactic and pedagogical intervention, and the average student motivation after learning to use the learning module reaches 83.78% which is included in the category of a very strong motivation to learn.

Abstract

The purpose of this research is to know the relationship of Group Investigation model with creative thinking ability and problem solving ability. Model Group Investigation is a group-based learning model where students are given opportunities to discuss, think critically, and be responsible for the learning. The research method used is experimental method, with sampling technique used is Purposive Sample. The instrument used in this research is the observation sheet of student activity, the question of creative thinking ability and the problem solving test problem. The test used is Pearson Product Moment correlation test, ANOVA Factorial test, and uji t. The results of this study are: (1) student activity in learning mathematics by using Group Investigation model overall percentage reaches 65,6% and included in good category; (2) there is correlation of Group Investigation model with creative thinking ability; (3) there is correlation of Group Investigation model with problem solving ability; (4) there is a correlation of Group Investigation model with creative thinking ability and problem-solving ability; (5) there is difference of average ability of creative thinking and problem solving ability between experiment class student and control class student, with mean value of experiment class is 76,60 whereas mean value of control class is 68,57.

Abstract

This study was motivated by student errors in trigonometry. This study aimed to describe the types of student errors in solving trigonometry problems using the Newman error analysis procedure. This research is descriptive qualitative with the subjects of vocational high school students. Data collection involved written tests, depth interviews, and documentation. The results show that most students made comprehension and transformation errors. The comprehension errors consisted of not writing down what was known and asked; immediately writing down the completion process with the wrong formula and incorrect understanding of the concept of the basic trigonometric formula. The transformation errors were not being able to transform information on the problem into the mathematical model, and incorrect in mentioning the formula.

Abstract

Lesson study muncul sebagai salah satu alternatif yang berguna untuk mengatasi masalah praktik pembelajaran yang selama ini dipandang kurang efektif. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah menerapkan lesson study sebagai  model pembinaan yang berkelanjutan untuk memperbaiki kualitas pembelajaran pada mata kuliah fungsi peubah kompleks. Metode dalam penelitian ini adalah kualitatif deskriptif. Adapun instrumen pengumpulan data meliputi lembar observasi dan dokumentasi. Melalui model lesson study diperoleh hasil bahwa adanya peningkatan aktivitas siswa dari setiap siklus. Dalam hal ini, Lesson Study dapat dijadikan sebagai salah satu alternatif guna mendorong terjadinya perubahan dalam praktik pembelajaran menuju ke arah yang jauh lebih efektif.Kata Kunci: Lesson Study, Fungsi Peubah Kompleks.

Abstract

The education curriculum of a country always changes periodically as a form of changing times, external and internal challenges. The curriculum is a set of rules that contain guidelines in achieving learning objectives. The quality of a nation's education is determined by the effectiveness of the curriculum that has been prepared and implemented. The purpose of this article is to find out how the curriculum trends in developed countries are represented by France and the curriculum in developing countries, namely Indonesia. The aspect that is the focus of this article is the learning of mathematics in these two countries. Based on the results of the literature review, information is obtained that there are some similarities between the two countries, such as the level of education and mathematics textbooks that focus on student activities. Some of the differences can be seen from the competency standards of graduates, the National Examination, and the objectives of learning mathematics.

Abstract

AbstrakHampir sebagian besar orang tua siswa berada di sekolah untuk menemani anaknya belajar. Aktivitas mereka yang monoton, seperti mengantar dan menunggu anaknya belajar di TK, sungguh sesuatu yang perlu dipikirkan. Apalagi keberadaan mereka yang bergerombol dan tidak teratur, hanya diisi dengan mengobrol, jajan camilan, atau sesekali arisan kecil untuk menutup kebosanan. Kondisi ini, dapat diupayakan agar aktivitas menunggu itu bisa lebih bermanfaat dan bernilai tambah bagi mereka. Oleh karena itu, tim pengabdi merancang suatu pelatihan dan pendampingan dalam membuat beberapa kreasi yang sebelumnya belum pernah dilakukan. Kreasi tersebut berupa kerajinan rajut tangan yang dibentuk menjadi berbagai macam benda seperti gantungan kunci, konektor masker, bunga, dll. Kerajinan merajut dapat dilakukan kapan saja dan dimana saja. Tujuan kegiatan pengabdian ini untuk meningkatkan (1) aktivitas keterampilan rajut tangan, dan (2) pengetahuan access market orang tua siswa TK B Annur. Metode kegiatan pengabdian masyarakat dilaksanakan dengan ceramah, tanya jawab, dan simulasi.  Tahapan yang dilalui diantaranya observasi lapangan, sosialisasi, pra pelatihan, pelatihan, evaluasi dan kegiatan pendampingan. Melalui kegiatan PKM diharapkan orang tua siswa dapat mengembangkan potensinya secara optimal dan menguatkan perekonomian keluarga dengan wirausaha. AbstractMost of the students' parents are at school to accompany their children to study. Their monotonous activities, such as escorting and waiting for their children to study in kindergarten, are really something to think about. Especially when they are clustered and disorganized, only filled with chatting, snacking, or the occasional small social gathering to cover boredom. In this condition, efforts can be made so that the waiting activity can be more useful and have added value for them. Therefore, the service team designed a training and mentoring in making several creations that had never been done before. These creations are in the form of hand-knit crafts that are formed into various kinds of objects such as key chains, mask connectors, flowers, etc. Knitting crafts can be done anytime and anywhere. The purpose of this service activity is to improve (1) hand knitting skills activities, and (2) knowledge of access market parents of Kindergarten B Annur students. Methods of service community activities is carried out by lecturing, question and answer, and simulation. The stages taken included field observations, socialization, pre-training, training, evaluation and mentoring activities. Through community service activities, it is hoped that students' parents can develop their potential optimally and strengthen the family economy with entrepreneurship.

Abstract

Some of the android-based mobile game genres that are currently very popular such as adventure, first-person shooter, fighting, racing, and others. This development should provide opportunities in the field of education to make games not only for fun but also for education. The purpose of this study was to produce educational games that were valid, practical, and had potential effects to improve the mathematical understanding of the relationship and function of junior high school students. The research method used is RD (research development) using the ADDIE model. The data collection techniques used were documentation, interviews, and tests of mathematical comprehension abilities. The results obtained from the game "The Incredible Boong Gi" are valid with an average of 96.70% of expert validators and media validators. The results of the practicality questionnaire from 9 students averaged 90.32%. The results of data analysis show that educational RPG games have valid, practical criteria and have potential effects. RPG games are valid in terms of relevance, systematics, student-centered compatibility, game design, and compatibility. RPG games get practical results from implementation in small groups. Furthermore, the educational RPG prototype has the potential effect of improving students' mathematical understanding abilities. RPG games provide a fun learning atmosphere, by playing students can also learn. Making RPG games is also not difficult, according to the competence of students to be achieved and challenges the creativity of the teacher.

Abstract

BLENDED LEARNING: KEEFEKTIFAN E-LEARNING BERBASIS SCHOOLOGY TERHADAP KEMAMPUAN KOMUNIKASI MATEMATISAbstrakPenelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui efektivitas e-learning berbasis schoology terhadap kemampuan komunikasi matematis siswa SMP pada materi Sistem Persaman Linier Dua Variabel (SPLDV). Populasi penelitian adalah seluruh siswa kelas VIII salah satu SMP di Kota Cirebon. Sampel terdiri atas kelas VIII-B2 sebagai kelas eksperimen yang menerapkan schoology dan VIII-C2 sebagai kelas kontrol tanpa menggunakan schoology. Adapun proses pengambilan sampel menggunakan teknik purposive sampling. Jenis penelitian ini adalah quasi eksperimen dengan desain Nonequivalent Control Group Design. Teknik pengumpulan data dilakukan dengan tes kemampuan komunikasi matematis dan angket respons. Data dianalisis menggunakan uji normalitas, uji homogenitas, uji-t, dan uji gain. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa kemampuan komunikasi matematis kelas eksperimen yang menggunakan schoology lebih baik daripada tanpa menggunakan schoology. Hasil rata-rata N-gain yang diperoleh sebesar 0,68 dan berada pada kategori peningkatan sedang. Siswa memiliki respons positif terhadap pembelajaran menggunakan schoology. Melalui aplikasi schoology, siswa belajar secara berkelanjutan tanpa terbatas oleh ruang kelas dan efektif digunakan sebagai media dalam pembelajaran.AbstractThis study was aimed at determining the effectiveness of schoology based e-learning on the mathematical communication ability of junior high school students on the Linier Equation System of Two Variables (LESTV). The population in this study were all students of class VIII junior high school in Cirebon. The sample consisted of two classes, VIII-B2 as an experimental class applying schoology and VIII-C2 as a control class without using schoology. The sampling process used purposive sampling technique. This type of research used was a quasi-experimental design with Nonequivalent Control Group Design. The data collection techniques were carried out by tests of mathematical communication skills and response questionnaires. The data were analyzed using normality test, homogeneity test, t-test, and gain test. The results show that the students of experimental class that use schoology have higher ability than the students of the control class. The average N-gain obtained is 0.68 and as moderate category. The students have a positive response to learning using schoology. Through the schoology application, students allow to learn continuously without being limited by the classroom and effectively used as a medium in learning.

Abstract

The purpose of this study is to design a digital module based on mathematical communication skills. This a development research which is carried out to determine the use of poor learning media and students’ low comprehensive skills in understanding mathematical topics associated with relations and functions. One of the solutions used to overcome this problem is by designing a digital teaching module using media. The research and development method consisting of Analysis, Design, Development, implementation, and Evaluation (ADDIE), were used to carry out this study. The results showed that the digital module is highly valid with a total expert validation of 95.1% and in the very good category. Also, the students' response to the digital module is in the very good category, with a total response criterion of 89.8%. Therefore, the designed digital module has the ability to improve students' independence in learning because its use is not limited to classrooms.
