Abstract

Student publications are one of the indicators of assessment in study program accreditation. Thus, efforts are needed to educate students to make these publications. This study aims to determine the response given by students to scientific publication guidelines that have been socialized. The research method used is qualitative research. The data in this study were obtained through filling out questionnaires by students as participants in the socialization of scientific publication guidelines. The results of this study indicate that students give a "good" response to the scientific publication guidelines that have been socialized. Based on this, it can be concluded that the guide can be a guide for students to publish. Key words: Response, Publication Guide   ABSTRAK Publikasi mahasiswa menjadi salah satu indikator penilaian dalam akreditasi program studi. Sehingga dengan begitu perlu upaya untuk mengedukasi mahasiswa untuk melakukan publikasi tersebut. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui respon yang diberikan mahasiswa terhadap panduan publikasi ilmiah yang telah disosialisasikan. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah penelitian kualitatif. Data pada penelitian ini diperoleh melalui pengisian kuesioner oleh mahasiswa sebagai peserta sosialisasi panduan publikasi ilmiah. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukan bahwa mahasiswa memberikan respon “baik” pada panduan publikasi ilmiah yang telah disosialisasikan. Berdasarkan hal itu dapat disimpulkan bahwa panduan tersebut dapat menjadi pendoman bagi mahasiswa untuk melakukan publikasi. Kata kunci: Respon, Panduan Publikasi

Abstract

This study was conducted to develop contextual-based assessment tool to measure science process skill. The research subjects were (1) 2 expert validators in microbiology material; (2) 3 expert validators in evaluation and assessment; (3) 2 expert validators in science process skills; (4) 2 lecturers teaching microbiology; and (5) 60 biology students from the Biology Education Program, FMIPA, State University of Medan, in their 8th semester. The aim of this research was to develop a contextual-based authentic assessment tool to measure students' science process skills in microbiology that is empirically valid. This development research used the 4-D development model, consisting of defining, designing, developing, and distributing stages. However, the distribution stage was not conducted in this study. The development procedure started with: (1) initial analysis; (2) designing the authentic assessment tool; (3) validating, testing readability, and conducting a limited field test of the authentic assessment tool. The instruments used were validation sheets and questionnaires for the responses of lecturers and students. Data were collected by means of validation results and questionnaires, and were analyzed descriptively and qualitatively. The results of the validation of the developed contextual-based authentic assessment tool in microbiology showed that, from the material aspect, it received a percentage of 92.79% (very good) by material expert validators, from the evaluation and assessment aspect, it received a percentage of 93.75% (very good) by evaluation and assessment expert validators, and from the science process skills aspect, it received a percentage of 97.22% (very good) by science process skill expert validators. The readability test conducted by the microbiology lecturers resulted in a percentage of 94.94% (very good), and the limited field test conducted on 60 students resulted in a percentage of 91.19% (very good) Key words: authentic assessment, science process skill, contextual assessment   ASBTRAK Penelitian ini dilakukan untuk mengembangkan perangkat penilaian berbasis kontekstual untuk mengukur keterampilan proses sains.. Subjek penelitian ini adalah (1) validator ahli materi mikrobiologi sebanyak 2 orang; (2) validator ahli evaluasi dan asesmen sebanyak 3 orang; (3) validator ahli keterampilan proses sains sebanyak 2 orang; (4) dosen pengampu matakuliah mikrobiologi sebanyak 2 orang; dan (5) mahasiswa jurusan biologi, prodi pendidikan biologi, Fakultas Matematika dan Ilmu Pengetahuan Alam (FMIPA) Universitas Negeri Medan, semester VIII sebanyak 60 orang. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengembangkan perangkat asessmen autentik berbasis kontekstual untuk mengukur keterampilan proses sains mahasiswa pada matakuliah mikrobiologi yang layak secara empiris. Penelitian pengembangan ini menggunakan model pengembangan 4-D yang terdiri dari tahap pendefinisian, perancangan, pengembangan dan pendistribusian. Namun pada penelitian ini tahap pendistribusian tidak dilakukan. Prosedur pengembangan dimulai dari tahap: (1) analisis awal; (2) perancangan perangkat asesmen autentik; (3) validasi, uji keterbacaan dan uji coba lapang terbatas perangkat asesmen autentik. Instrumen yang digunakan adalah lembar validasi dan angket respon dosen dan mahasiswa. Metode pengumpulan data dalam penelitian ini adalah dengan metode pengumpulan hasil validasi dan angket respon dosen dan mahasiswa, kemudian data yang didapatkan dianalisis secara deskriptif kualitatif. Hasil validasi perangkat asessmen autentik berbasis kontekstual pada matakuliah mikrobiologi yang dikembangkan ditinjau dari aspek materi oleh validator ahli materi, diperoleh persentase sebesar 92,79% (sangat baik), dari aspek evaluasi dan asesmen oleh validator ahli evaluasi dan asesmen diperoleh persentase sebesar 93,75% (sangat baik), dari aspek keterampilan proses sains oleh validator ahli keterampilan proses sains diperoleh persentase sebesar 97,22% (sangat baik). Hasil uji keterbacaan yang dilakukan oleh dosen pengampuh matakuliah mikrobiologi diperoleh persentase sebesar 94,94% (sangat baik) dan hasil uji coba lapang terbatas yang dilakukan terhadap 60 orang mahasiswa diperoleh persentase sebesar 91,19% (sangat baik). Abstract

The use of learning media and information that is less varied is the reason for the need to develop video tutorial media. This study aims to determine the development and feasibility of antibacterial test tutorial video media on the sub-material the role of bacteria in tenth grade senior high school. This research uses the Research and Development method, which is a 4D model but is limited to three stages (define, design, develop). The instruments used in this study were validation sheets and validators consisting of 5 people with 4 aspects and 25 assessment criteria. The validation results use Aiken’s V formula to calculate the validity coefficient and test its reliability using the ICC formula. The result indicate that the tutorial video can proceed to the next stage by obtaining a minimum Aiken’s V value of 0,87 and an ICC value of 0,964. Abstrak. Penggunaan media pembelajaran dan informasi yang kurang bervariasi menjadi alasan perlunya dikembangkan media video tutorial. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengembangan dan kelayakan media video tutorial uji antibakteri pada Submateri Peranan Bakteri kelas X SMA. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode Research and Development yaitu model 4D namun dibatasi dengan tiga tahap (define, design, develop). Instrumen yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini yaitu lembar validasi dengan lima validator dengan 4 aspek dan 25 kriteria penilaiannya. Hasil validasi dianalisis menggunakan formula Aiken’s V untuk dihitung koefesien validitasnya dan diuji reliabilitasnya dengan menggunakan rumus ICC. Hasil yang diperoleh menunjukkan bahwa video tutorial dinyatakan layak untuk dilanjutkan ke tahap selanjutnya dengan memperoleh nilai minimum Aiken’s V sebesar 0,87 dan nilai reliabilitas ICC sebesar 0,964.

Abstract

This study aims to examine the direct effect of the UTAUT model, educational policies and habits on Information and communication use (ICTuse). These dimensions were developed by proposing research indicators that have a partial and simultaneous impact. With a sample of 251 teachers in teaching Biology. This study uses Structural Equation Modeling (SEM) through partial least square approach (PLS). Based on research findings, this study provides implications for policies/programs that aim to promote teachers to adopt ICT-based teaching. From a managerial and institutional perspective, this research has several implications for policies from stakeholders and the government which aims to prepare aspects of facilities and human resources in facing educational challenges that are closely related to the development of internet technology and integrate them into the learning process in Biology subject.

Abstract

The aim of the study was to utilize medicinal plants used by the Anak Dalam tribe (SAD) in Sungai Ulak Village, Merangin Regency, Jambi as a source for learning plant taxonomy. The method used is an explorative survey method and interviews. The stages of the research included interviews and making a herbarium. The results of the interviews that have been conducted obtained 31 types of medicinal plants used by SAD in Sungai Ulak Village, Merangin District, Jambi. The use of medicinal plants in healing a disease is classified into 22 disease groups. Plants used as wound medicine and fever medicine are the most widely used, namely 5 types with a percentage of 22.73%. abstrak. Penelitian bertujuan untuk memanfaatkan  tumbuhan  obat yang digunakan Suku Anak Dalam (SAD) di Desa Sungai Ulak Kabupaten Merangin Jambi Sebagai Sumber Belajar Taksonomi Tumbuhan. Metode yang digunakan adalah metode survey eksporatif dan wawancara. Tahapan penelitian meliputi wawancara dan pembuatan herbarium. Hasil wawancara yang telah dilakukan diperoleh  31 jenis   tumbuhan obat yang dimanfaatkan SAD di Desa Sungai Ulak Kabupaten Merangin Jambi. Pemanfaatan  tumbuhan obat dalam penyembuhan suatu penyakit  digolongkan menjadi 22 kelompok penyakit. Tumbuhan yang digunakan  sebagai obat luka dan obat demam merupakan jumlah yang paling banyak digunakan  yaitu  5  jenis  dengan persentase sebesar 22.73%.

Abstract

The processing of waste and used goods has become vital in environmental conservation efforts. One of the efforts in waste processing is to carry out the recycling process to serve as learning media. The problem discussed in this study is regarding the development of learning media from waste (virus props) to improve student learning outcomes at SMA Negeri 6 Madiun. The research method used is this type of research in the form of application research using the One-Group Pretest-Posttest Design to compare the results of the pretest and post-test. The pretest stage is carried out when students have not been given treatment while the posttest stage is carried out when students have been given treatment. The implementation was carried out in two meetings with 71 class X students of SMA Negeri 6 Madiun. Based on the results of data analysis that has been carried out in research on pre-service PPG students at the University of PGRI Madiun, it was found that the variable Entrepreneurship Education, Self-Efficacy, has a positive and significant effect as the creation of learning media significantly increases the learning outcomes of class X students. This project activity is about how to manage and handling inorganic waste in the school environment, so that it can have an effective value. One of those values ​​is turning it into a learning medium that can assist teachers in providing more efficient learning to students. Abstrak. Pengolahan sampah dan barang bekas telah menjadi hal yang vital dalam usaha pelestarian lingkungan. Salah satu upaya dalam pengolahan sampah adalah dengan melakukan proses daur ulang untuk dijadikan sebagai media pembelajaran. Permasalahan yang dibahas dalam penelitian ini yaitu mengenai pengembangan media pembelajaran dari sampah (alat peraga virus) untuk meningkatkan hasil belajar peserta  didik SMA Negeri 6 Madiun. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah Jenis penelitian berupa penelitian penerapan menggunakan One-Group Pretest-Posttest Design untuk membandingkan hasil pretest dan post-test. Tahap pretest dilakukan saat peserta didik belum diberi perlakuan sedangkan tahap posttest dilakukan saat peserta didik telah diberi perlakuan. Pelaksanaan dilakukan sebanyak dua kali pertemuan pada 71 peserta didik kelas X  SMA Negeri 6 Madiun. Berdasarkan hasil analisis data yang telah dilakukan dalam penelitian pada mahasiswa ppg prajabatan Universitas PGRI Madiun didapatkan hasil bahwa variable Pendidikan kewirausahaan, Efikasi diri, berpengaruh positif dan signifikan sebagai pembuatan media pembelajaran signifikan meningkatkan hasil belajar peserta didik kelas X. Kegiatan proyek ini adalah tentang bagaimana mengelola dan menangani sampah anorganik di lingkungan sekolah, sehingga bisa memiliki nilai efektif. Salah satu nilai itu adalah mengubahnya menjadi media pembelajaran yang dapat membantu guru dalam memberikan pembelajaran yang lebih efisien terhadap peserta didik.

Abstract

The main objectives of biology learning are improving the mastery of concepts, understanding biology concepts in depth and applying them in problem solving processes. The aims of this research were to design a STEM-based Biology practicum module and evaluate its effectiveness on students' conceptual understanding. The method in this research followed a quasi-experimental research procedure, with a one group pretest and posttest design. This aims to obtain more information in understanding students' concepts after going through STEM-based biology practicum learning experiences. The research subjects were 36 junior high school students. Analysis of students' understanding of concepts is based on statistical descriptive data, normality test and paired t test and N-Gain. Based on the results of the research indicate that there is a significant effect of the application of STEM-based practicum modules on conceptual understanding. Besides that the N-Gain data shows an increase in students' understanding of concepts after being taught with the STEM-based biology practicum module. In this research, it has not specifically explained the model that is applied together with the STEM-based approach. It is important to do further research to design STEM-based learning with certain learning models. Key words: Conceptual understanding, Biology, STEM Abstrak. Tujuan utama pembelajaran biologi adalah meningkatkan penguasaan konsep, memahami konsep biologi secara mendalam dan menerapkannya dalam proses pemecahan masalah. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk merancang modul praktikum Biologi berbasis STEM dan mengevaluasi keefektifannya terhadap pemahaman konsep siswa. Metode dalam penelitian ini mengikuti prosedur penelitian eksperimen semu, dengan one group pretest and posttest design. Hal ini bertujuan untuk memperoleh informasi lebih dalam memahami konsep siswa setelah melalui pengalaman pembelajaran praktikum biologi berbasis STEM. Subyek penelitian adalah 36 siswa SMP. Analisis pemahaman konsep siswa berdasarkan data statistik deskriptif, uji normalitas dan uji t berpasangan dan N-Gain. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa terdapat pengaruh yang signifikan penerapan modul praktikum berbasis STEM terhadap pemahaman konsep. Selain itu data N-Gain menunjukkan adanya peningkatan pemahaman konsep siswa setelah diajarkan dengan modul praktikum biologi berbasis STEM. Dalam penelitian ini belum secara khusus menjelaskan model yang diterapkan bersamaan dengan pendekatan berbasis STEM. Abstract

The purpose of this study was to analyze Biology LAD: Mitotic in shallot roots (Allium cepa) and reconstruct LAD with higher quality based on weakness and recommendations from analysis results. The method of this research is descriptive qualitative research with ANCOR model in 10 selected LAD. Research results show that LAD is generally poor-qualified and specifically unable to produce expected objects and phenomena. A designed LAD should describe the activity, guide students in finding objects and phenomena in a structured way, and include a record of the activity. Prerequiste skills of students such as using a microscope need to be emphasized as well as readiness of tools and material in practicum. The restructuring of the DKL was prepared based on the results of analysis from various aspects aimed at improving student learning outcomes. Key words: Laboratory Activity Design, Practical Work, Mitotic, Allium cepa   ABSTRAK Tujuan penelitian ini untuk menganalisis DKL mitosis akar bawang merah (Allium cepa) dan mengonstruksi DKL yang lebih berkualitas berdasarkan kelemahan dan rekomendasi. Metode penelitian ini ialah penelitian deskriptif kualitatif dengan model ANCOR pada 10 DKL terpilih yang dianalisis secara kuantitatif dan kualitatif. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan umumnya DKL belum berkualitas terutama tidak dapat memunculkan objek atau fenomena yang diharapkan. DKL yang disusun perlu menggambarkan kegiatan, secara terstruktur membimbing siswa menemukan objek atau fenomena serta memuat kegiatan pencatatan. Keterampilan prasyarat siswa dalam menggunakan mikroskop dan kesiapan alat bahan sebelum praktikum perlu lebih ditekankan. DKL rekonstruksi disusun berdasarkan hasil analisis berbagai aspek dengan harapan meningkatkan hasil belajar siswa yang lebih baik.  Kata kunci: Desain Kegiatan Laboratorium, Praktikum, Mitosis Akar Bawang

Abstract

This study aims to develop website-based interactive learning media using Google sites on ecosystem material and to determine the feasibility and student response to this learning media. The research method used is the Research and Development (R&D) research method with a 4-D research design modified to 3-D which consists of the define, design and develop stages. Assessment of the feasibility of learning media is carried out by material experts and media experts. Assessment of the feasibility of learning media by material experts includes aspects of content feasibility, presentation aspects, linguistic aspects as a whole included in the very feasible category with a percentage of 97.2%. Assessment of the feasibility of learning media by material experts includes graphical aspects and programming aspects which are included in the very feasible category with a percentage of 93.7%. Assessment of student responses to the use of website-based interactive learning media using Google sites as a whole has an average value of 89%. Based on the results of student responses including very good criteria, so that website- based interactive learning media using Google sites is very good to be used as one of the teaching materials on ecosystem material Abstrak. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengembangkan media pembelajaran interaktif berbasis website menggunakan google sites pada materi ekosistem dan untuk mengetahui kelayakan serta respon siswa terhadap media pembelajaran ini. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah metode penelitian Reserch and Development (R&D) dengan desain penelitian 4-D dimodifikasi menjadi 3-D yang terdiri dari tahap define, desain dan develop. Penilaian kelayakan media pembelajaran dilakukan oleh ahli materi dan ahli media. Penilaian kelayakan media pembelajaran oleh ahli materi meliputi aspek kelayakan isi, aspek penyajian, aspek kebahasaan secara keseluruhan termasuk ke dalam kategori sangat layak dengan persentase sebesar 97,2%. Penilaian kelayakan media pembelajaran oleh ahli materi meliputi aspek kegrafikan dan aspek pemrograman yang termasuk kategori sangat layak dengan persentase sebesar 93,7%. Penilaian respon siswa terhadap penggunaan media pembelajaran interaktif berbasis website menggunakan google sites secara keseluruhan memiliki nilai rata-rata sebesar 89%. Berdasarkan hasil respon siswa termasuk kriteria sangat baik, sehingga media pembelajaran interaktif berbasis website menggunakan google sites sangat baik untuk dijadikan salah satu bahan ajar pada materi ekosistem.

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to describe the effectiveness of insect community textbooks based on problem-based learning on science literacy skills and environmental care attitudes of students. This study used a quantitative approach with the type of research used was pre-experimental design. the research design used was one-group pretest-posttest. The data were analyzed quantitatively using gain score and criteria determination. The results showed that the effectiveness of textbooks on students' science literacy obtained an n-gain score of 0.48 with a medium category and students' environmental care attitudes obtained an n-gain score of 0.28 with a low category. Based on the results of the study, it can be concluded that the teaching book for insect communities based on problem-based learning is effective in improving students' science literacy skills and environmental care attitudes. Key words: Textbook, Problem Based Learning, Science Literacy, Environmental Care Attitude   ABSTRAK Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mendeskripsikan keefektivan buku ajar komunitas serangga berbasis problem based learning terhadap keterampilan literasi sains dan sikap peduli lingkungan mahasiswa. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kuantitaif dengan Jenis penelitian yang digunakan adalah pra-eksperimental desain. desain penelitian yang digunakan one-group pretest-posttest. Data dianalisis secara kuantitatif menggunakan gain score dan dilakukan penentuan kriteria. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa keefektivan buku ajar terhadap literasi sains mahasiswa memperoleh skor n-gain 0,48 dengan kategori sedang dan sikap peduli lingkungan mahasiswa memperoleh memperoleh skor n-gain 0,28 dengan kategori rendah. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian dapat disimpulkan bahwa buku ajar komunitas serangga berbasis problem based learning efektif terhadap peningkatan keterampilan literasi sains dan sikap peduli lingkungan mahasiswa.
