Abstract

Social interactions that occur through the media make students' social interactions in the real world weakened. Students become less competent on social-emotionally, even this problem affects their academic performance. Moreover, social and emotional competence is quite important for students. Research shows that mastering of social-emotional competency is related to the better improvement of the school welfare and its performance. While failure to achieve competence in this field can lead to various personal, social, and academic difficulties. The aim of this article is viewing about Social Emotional Learning (SEL). Social Emotional Learning (SEL) is an approach that can be used by the teachers to improve the success of students in the school and their life.The usage of technology can be an alternative on approaching of social emotional Learning (SEL). The technology provides many conveniences, as well as a new way of transferring knowledge in the schools.Each innovation is created to provide positive benefits for human life, including in the teaching and learning process in the schools.Actually, many countries in the world have started developing SEL in their schools. However, there are still few countries who use technology media as the part of the SEL program.The technology that is developing at this time can be used as a learning medium to develop social emotional learning in the schools. Schools as the place for teaching and learning process must be able to utilize media technology as a teaching aid. Activities those are supported by a set of digital tools can guide them through a series of structured tasks which are designed to encourage the students' understanding of culture, the guide interaction, the problem solving and decision making about the social and emotional issues.The learning tools for SEL development can be in the form of digital stories and animations, as well as the discussions with the online instruction guides.

Abstract

Orang tua merupakan sosok yang paling berpengaruh dalam fase penting ini. Sehingga penting bagi orang tua untuk memiliki pengetahuan terkait dengan perkembangan anak agar dapat menunjukan pola pengasuhan yang mampu membantu proses tumbuh kembang anak. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui gambaran pengetahuan orang tua terkait perkembangan anak usia 0-2 tahun untuk aspek perkembangan kognitif, sosio-emosi dan motoric. Jumlah subjek penelitian ini yaitu 179 orang yang terdiri dari 152 orang perempuan dan 27 orang laki-laki. Adapun teknik pengambilan sampel yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah nonprobability sampling dengan teknik purposive sampling. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah metode penelitian deskriptif dengan pendekatan kualitiatif. Hasil menunjukan bahwa sebanyak 109 (60,9%) orang tua memiliki pengetahuan yang dengan kategori tinggi dan sebanyak 70 (39,1%) orang tua memiliki pengetahuan yang rendah terkait perkembangan anak. Secara keseluruhan terdapat perbedaan antara tingkat pengetahuan ayah dengan tingkat pengetahuan ibu (sig.0.046).

Abstract

This study aimed at testing the correlation between adversity quotient and entrepreneurship intention on culinary art students of SMKN 9 Padang. The proposed hypothesis is there is a correlation between adversity quotient and entrepreneurship intention on culinary art students of SMKN 9 Padang. Sampling technique used in this research is purposive sampling technique with 149 students as research sample. The instrument used are adversity quotient scale that is consist of 44 items (rx-0,884) and entrepreneurship intention scale that is consist of 20 items (rx=0,980). The data was analyzed with product moment from Pearson analysis. Using SPSS program resulted in the value of r=594 with p=0,000 (p0,001). The result of the study indicated that adversity quotient correlated positively with the entrepreneurship intention on the culinary students of SMKN 9 Padang.

Abstract

This study aims to look at the regulation of emotions in Covid-19 patients. The qualitative approach used is descriptive method. Two early adults who contracted Covid-19 were recruited as study participants. Data was collected from interviews, observations, and relevant documents. Thompson's concept of the aspect of emotional regulation, namely emotions monitoring, emotions evaluating, emotions modification is used to provide psychological insights in analyzing data. This study found that the emotional regulation that occurs in Covid-19 patients fulfills every aspect, that participants are able to understand and realize everything that happens to them, are able to manage negative emotions, and be able to motivate themselves even with the help of family, friends or social media.

Abstract

Anak prasekolah atau masa golden age merupakan suatu proses kehidupan yang pesat dalam masa pertumbuhan dan penting untuk merangsang perkembangan kognitifnya. Permainan konstruktif lego bermanfaat bagi anak untuk mengembangkan kognitifnya. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh pemberian stimulasi permainan konstruktif lego terhadap perkembangan kognitif pada anak usia prasekolah 5 sampai 6 tahun serta mengetahui perkembangan kognitif pada kelompok yang tidak diberi stimulasi. Penelitian ini bersifat quasi eksperimen dengan pre test and post test control group design terhadap 46 responden. Penelitian ini dilakukan di PAUD Sayang Ibu kota Padang. Sampel penelitian dipilih secara random sampling. Pengukuran perkembangan kognitif menggunakan Test CPM. Analisa data menggunakan uji t dependen yang telah dilakukan uji normalitas data. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan rerata perkembangan kognitif pada kelompok intervensi sebelum dan sesudah perlakuan masing-masing yaitu 55,09 dan 66,09, ada pengaruh pemberian stimulasi pada perkembangan kognitif anak (p=0,000). Rerata perkembangan kognitif pada kelompok kontrol sebelum dan sesudah perlakuan masing-masing yaitu 58,48 dan 59,43. Tidak ada peningkatan perkembangan pada kognitif anak (p=0,328). Kesimpulan penelitian ini menyatakan bahwa terdapat pengaruh pemberian stimulasi permainan konstruktif lego terhadap perkembangan kognitif pada anak prasekolah. Abstract

Abstract: The Internet has not become yet a secure world for women. Many women become targets of violence in cyberspace. The willingness of women to respond, introduce, and open up themselves to strangers on the internet causes this violence. The purpose of this research is to explore the process of self-disclosure of adolescent girls in cyberspace. Including the factors that influence, both supporting and obstacle. This research presents an in-depth review of the process of self-disclosure of women when they interact in cyberspace based on a literature review and theoretical analysis. The results of this research indicate that violence against women is transformed in a new form. One of the reasons for this phenomenon of violence is the victim's lack of carefulness when interacting in cyberspace. They are easy to open up and trust the people they know in cyberspace.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the form of stress coping strategies taken by the '19 Psychology students when studying online. This type of research is a quantitative descriptive study using a survey method. The survey was carried out by distributing questionnaires related to stress coping strategies and the impact of stress coping on the 2019 Force Psychology Students of Andalas University while studying online. The subjects in this study were 84 Psychology Students Class of 2019 at Andalas University. The analysis techniques in this study were the percentage of stress coping, categorization of the level of coping stress, and the impact of stress coping in the Class of 2019, Andalas University while studying online. The research results obtained were as many as 61.9% of Psychology Students Class of 2019 Andalas University when studying online, most of them carried out stress coping strategies in the form of emotionally focused coping. The stress coping strategies of some of the Psychology students of class 19, Andalas University (51.2%), were in the quite good category. And most of Andalas University Class 19 Psychology Students (82.1%) felt a good impact after implementing stress coping strategies.

Abstract

The prolonged quarantine during the Covid-19 pandemic has an impact on negative emotions, and psychological problems that arise when children have to learn from home such as boredom and decreased motivation to learn. Parents as learning companions for their children experienced fatigue. Therefore, Department of Psychology, Andalas University, holded community service activities in the form of online workshops using technological media (webinars) to increase mental health knowledge in the fields of education, community and family in facing the COVID-19 pandemic as a manifestation readiness to enter a new normal era. The purpose of this service program is for the people of Padang, especially when accompanying children while learning from home during the COVID-19 pandemic, namely helping teachers, students, parents and the public meet health protocols and stay happy, and prevent COVID-19 cases in both sector education and family. This activity consisted of learning from home mentoring and mindfulness training for teenagers. Children need socio-emotional competence to stay focused and creative when learning from home. The evaluation of these educational activities was identified through a survey after the webinar. The questionnaire link was provided on Zoom Application during the event. The result of this activity was knowledge about mental health for teachers, students and parents in dealing with children and adolescents during the COVID-19 pandemicABSTRAK:Karantina berkepanjangan selama pandemi covid-19 berdampak pada emosi negatif, dan masalah psikologis yang muncul ketika anak harus belajar dari rumah seperti kebosanan, dan menurunnya motivasi belajar. Orang tua sebagai pendamping belajar anak pun mengalami kelelahan. Oleh karena itu, Program Studi Psikologi Universitas Andalas mengadakan kegiatan pengabdian masyarakat berupa workshop dalam bentuk daring menggunakan media teknologi (webinar) untuk meningkatkan pengetahuan kesehatan mental di bidang pendidikan, sosial masyarakat, dan keluarga dalam menghadapi pandemi COVID-19 sebagai bentuk kesiapan memasuki era normal baru. Tujuan program pengabdian ini adalah untuk masyarakat kota Padang khususnya saat mendampingi anak belajar dari rumah selama pandemi COVID- 19 yaitu membantu guru, siswa, wali murid, dan masyarakat umum memenuhi protokol kesehatan dan tetap merasa bahagia, serta mencegah kasus COVID- 19 di sektor pendidikan dan keluarga melalui pelatihan mindfullness. Kegiatan ini terdiri dari pelatihan pendampingan belajar dari rumah dan mindfulness untuk anak-remaja. Anak perlu kompetensi sosio-emosional agar tetap fokus dan kreatif selama belajar dari rumah. Evaluasi kegiatan edukasi ini diketahui melalui survei setelah acara webinar. Link kuisioner diberikan di media Zoom saat acara berlangsung. Hasil dari kegiatan ini adalah pengetahuan tentang kesehatan mental pada guru, siswa, dan orang tua dalam menghadapi anak-anak dan remaja selama masa pandemi COVID-19.

Abstract

A teacher is a person who imparts knowledge to students. Teachers are subjects that play an essential role in the continuity of education. Teachers will be able to educate and teach if they have emotional stability and have a great sense of responsibility to advance their students. Teachers in schools must be able to deal with the emotional demands of the surrounding environment on an ongoing basis. Thus, the teacher's knowledge and skills are needed to manage the emotion they experience while carrying out their roles as educators. This community service activity was conducted at the Insan Karima Cendekia Foundation in Bukittinggi, West Sumatra. This location was chosen because it considered the problems faced by teachers, especially in managing emotions. The foundation also conveyed the obstacles and needs related to psychoeducation for teachers. The activities were packaged in the form of providing psychoeducation and direct practice related to emotional regulation and becoming professional educators. Through the activities carried out, it was hoped that it could be a means to help teachers recognize emotion and understand how to regulate their emotions and help teachers gain knowledge related to being a professional educator.

Abstract

Survivors of Covid-19 can still experience symptoms such as being still infected with a virus known as Long Covid-19. Covid-19 survivors with long Covid-19 experience physical and psychological disorders. Psychological disorders include cognitive disorders, memory loss, anxiety, sleep disorders, quality of life disorders, and work problems. This problem will undoubtedly impact individual productivity, so it is necessary to carry out a "Long Covid-19 Hotline". This activity aims to provide health services to Covid-19 survivors to overcome their Post-Covid conditions. The Psychologist Team of Psychology Study Program and Respiration and Pulmonology Medical Faculty Universitas Andalas conducted this activity by telephone in September and October 2021. Activities were carried out by providing psychological consultation or further recommendations for participants' psychological complaints. The results of the psychological condition of participants using Generalized Anxiety Disorder (GAD) 7 screening tools showed that the highest complaints were anxiety at 46%, insomnia at 24%, difficulty concentrating at 13%, and depression at 9% and stress at 8%. As for the follow-up results after the consultation, 90% of participants' psychological complaints were reduced, 89% of participants had made follow-up recommendations, and 100% of participants felt this activity was beneficial. Based on a survey of Covid-19 survivors, their psychological condition improved after conducting a Long Covid-19 Hotline.
