Abstract

ABSTRAKJarak pagar berpotensi sebagai sumber biodiesel karena kandunganlemak yang tinggi (>40%) dan belum ada penggunaan lainnya.Spektroskopi (Near Infrared) NIR adalah metode yang cepat untukmengukur spektrum sampel dan tidak terdapat limbah kimia. Tujuanpenelitian adalah mengembangkan metode pendugaan komposisi kimiabeberapa  provenan  jarak  pagar  berdasarkan  spektroskopi  NIRmenggunakan kalibrasi PLS. Pengujian dilakukan menggunakan tigaprovenan jarak pagar yaitu IP-3A, IP-3M, dan IP-3P masing-masing 85sampel. Spektrum reflektansi diukur menggunakan alat NIRFlex SolidsPetri pada panjang gelombang 1000–2500 nm. Sekitar ⅔ jumlah sampeldigunakan untuk mengembangkan persamaan kalibrasi dan ⅓ jumlahsampel untuk validasi. Pra perlakuan data spektrum dilakukan dengannormalisasi antara 0-1, turunan pertama Savitzky-Golay 9 titik dangabungan keduanya. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan spektroskopi NIRdapat menduga kadar air, lemak, dan asam lemak bebas . Koefisienkorelasi (r) antara komponen kimia metode acuan dengan dugaan NIR>0,83 menunjukkan ketepatan model cukup baik (r kadar air=0,96, r kadarlemak=0,92, dan r ALB=0,89 ). Konsistensi model kalibrasi kadarair=94,85%, lemak=82,56%, dan ALB=87,80%. Koefisien keragamandugaan (Prediction Coeficient Variability/PCV) ketiga model <10%menunjukkan model yang dibangun cukup handal. Ratio of standard errorprediction to deviation (RPD) menunjukkan metode spektroskopi NIRdapat digunakan untuk menentukan kadar air (RPD=3,30) dan lemak(RPD=2,06). Model-model yang dikembangkan secara umum layakuntuk menentukan kadar air dan lemak biji jarak pagar, tetapi belumoptimal untuk penentuan kadar ALB biji jarak pagar.Kata kunci: NIR , jarak pagar, kadar air, kadar lemak, kadar asam lemakbebasABSTRACTPhysic nut is a potential source of biodiesel. It is high in fat content,above 40% and has not been usesed for other purposes. Moisture, free fattyacid, and fat content are the chemical compounds and determinant factorfor physic nut seed quality. The objective of this study was to develop amethod to predict chemical composition of physic nut by NIRspectroscopy and PLS calibration. The study was conducted using threeprovenances of physic nut, i.e. IP-3A, IP-3M, and IP-3P, with 85 sampleseach. The wavelengths of near infrared reflectance ranged from 1000 to2500 nm, and measured by NIR Flex Solids Petri Apparatus.Approximately ⅔ of total samples were used for developing calibrationequation, while ⅓ of total samples for performing validation. Pre-treatmentof spectrum data was done by applying normalization, first derivative ofSavitzky–Golay 9 points, and as well as their combination. The resultsshowed that NIR spectroscopy performed acceptable prediction formoisture and fat content. Correlation coefficients (r) between the referencemethod and NIR prediction were 0.96 for moisture content, 0.92 for fatcontent, and 0.89 for FFA and the consistency of the model were 94.85%for moisture content, 82.56% for fat, and 87.80% for FFA. Prediction ofcoefficient of variability (PCV) of the three models ≤10 % shows that themodels are reliable. Ratio of standard error prediction to deviation (RPD)for moisture content has the potential to be used for screening (RPD=3.30)though the fat content model has rough screening (RPD=2.06).Key words: NIR, physic nut, moisture, fat, free fatty acid contents.

Abstract

The purpose of this research was to obtain the albedo ratio of watermelon and jackfruit in making jams, finally can made jams in according to National Standard of Indonesian(SNI). This research used  Complete Randomized Design (CRD) with five treatments and three replications which were followed by Duncan’s New Multiple Range Test (DNMRT) at level 5%. The treatments in this research included  PS1 (90% albedo watermelon: 10% meat jackfruit), PS2 (80% albedo watermelon: 20% meat jackfruit), PS3 (70% albedo watermelon: 30% meat jackfruit), PS4 (60% watermelon albedo: 40% meat jackfruit) and PS5 (50% albedo watermelon: 50% meat jackfruit). The results of research showed that the ratio of albedo watermelon and gave jackfruit significantly effect on water content, pectin content, fiber content, total dissolved solids, assessment of sensory of the color,  flavour, texture descriptively as well as colour, texture and overall assessment by hedonic yet no real effect on the flavour of jam in hedonic. The best formulation Jams was  PS4 with  total dissolved solids 67.87˚brix, fiber content 2.01%, water content of 33.46%, pectin content 0.90%.Organoleptic scores of PS4 were 4.00 (like) colour, 3.73 (like) flavour, 3.86 (like) taste, 3.56 (like) texture and 2.12 (like) overall. Abstract

The Reforestation Fund in accordance with Government Regulation Number 35 of 2002 concerning the Reforestation Fund aims to finance the implementation of Forest Rehabilitation activities. The existence of the Reforestation Fund in the regions actually raises problems, from the beginning until 2017 it is not able to be utilized optimally, this is evidenced by the budget that always settles in the regional treasury. Not optimal absorption of Reforestation Funds has led to negative SiLPA, one of which is due to the limitations of local governments to use it. This study rests on theoretical analysis of Effectiveness, Efficiency, and Inhibiting Factors for Policy Implementation. Done with a qualitative approach and descriptive analysis.This study shows that the Reforestation Fund intended to finance the implementation of Forest Rehabilitation activities was not able to be utilized properly by the Pelalawan District Government. On the other hand the condition of the forest continues to be alarming and requires an effort to restore (Forest Rehabilitation). The Reforestation Fund should be potential enough if it is able to be used properly to finance these activities. In Government Regulation Number 35 of 2002 concerning Reforestation Funds, it is stated that the Reforestation Fund area is used only to finance reforestation and rehabilitation activities and supporting activities. The series of implementation of Forest Reahabilitation is not only at the reforestation stage, including the cost of procuring equipment, accessing locations and so on. Reforestation funds are not allowed to be used other than reforestation activities for which the government needs to provide other budgets. Strict rules and no technical instructions for using them in detail are also often a source of problems for regions in using the budget. By reason of not wanting to take risks and lack of effort and regional commitment, the Reforestation Fund was allowed to settle into a large number of SiLPA.Keywords: Reforestation Funds, Utilization of Reforestation Funds, Forest Rehabilitation

Abstract

This study aims to determine the independence of learning in the civic education area in class VII at 92 Junior High School between before the implementation of group investigation (GI) learning model after the implementation of group investigation (GI) learning model. This research uses experimental method. This experimental study used the Pretest-Posttest Control Design design. The design consists of two groups, namely the experimental group and the control group. Both groups were given pre and post test but only one group was given treatment (treatment). With this design, there are differences in the achievement of independence between the experimental group and the achievement of the independence of the control group. Data collection uses questionnaires to collect data on learning independence. The population of this study are all students of class VII at 92 Junior High School from class VII A to class VII F. While technique used for this research use Simple Random Sampling with obtained class VII F as experiment class and class VII C as control class. The study was conducted from early March 2017 to early May 2017. The data collected were analyzed using statistical analysis technique. Testing the research hypothesis using T-test. Hypothesis testing showed that: 1) The sample of the experimental class and the control class came from the normally distributed population. 2) Based on the data analysis both samples are homogeneous; 3) There is a higher change in terms of learning independence in the class that received treatment compared with the class that did not receive treatment. The conclusion of this research there is a higher influence of the use of group investigation model (GI) of student independence learning in the civic education at 92 Junior High School Jakarta.   Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui kemandirian belajar di bidang pendidikan kewarganegaraan di kelas VII di 92 SMP antara sebelum penerapan model pembelajaran investigasi kelompok (GI) setelah penerapan model pembelajaran investigasi kelompok (GI). Penelitian ini menggunakan metode eksperimen. Penelitian eksperimental ini menggunakan desain Desain Kontrol Pretest-Posttest. Desain terdiri dari dua kelompok, yaitu kelompok eksperimen dan kelompok kontrol. Kedua kelompok diberikan pre dan post test tetapi hanya satu kelompok yang diberi perlakuan (treatment). Dengan desain ini, ada perbedaan dalam pencapaian kemandirian antara kelompok eksperimen dan pencapaian kemandirian kelompok kontrol. Pengumpulan data menggunakan kuesioner untuk mengumpulkan data tentang kemandirian belajar. Populasi penelitian ini adalah semua siswa kelas VII SMP Negeri 92 dari kelas VII A sampai kelas VII F. Sedangkan teknik yang digunakan untuk penelitian ini menggunakan Simple Random Sampling dengan diperoleh kelas VII F sebagai kelas eksperimen dan kelas VII C sebagai kelas kontrol . Penelitian dilakukan dari awal Maret 2017 hingga awal Mei 2017. Data yang dikumpulkan dianalisis dengan menggunakan teknik analisis statistik. Pengujian hipotesis penelitian menggunakan uji-T. Pengujian hipotesis menunjukkan bahwa: 1) Sampel kelas eksperimen dan kelas kontrol berasal dari populasi yang berdistribusi normal. 2) Berdasarkan analisis data, kedua sampel homogen; 3) Ada perubahan yang lebih tinggi dalam hal kemandirian belajar di kelas yang menerima pengobatan dibandingkan dengan kelas yang tidak menerima pengobatan. Kesimpulan dari penelitian ini ada pengaruh yang lebih tinggi dari penggunaan model investigasi kelompok (GI) pembelajaran kemandirian siswa dalam pendidikan kewarganegaraan di 92 SMP Jakarta

Abstract

This study explores the learning model of civic education for Senior High School students.The purpose of Civic education in Senior High School are preparing to be smart and good citizen. In fact,learning program by teacher isn’t enough to make student active. To make student active in civic eduction learning, the idea is application Jurisprudential Inquiryas a model.This qualitative case study draws on interview from eight students and a teacher in Senior High School. The research shows that Jurisprudential inquiry model can be used as an alternative model for civic education as it is effective, efficient and attractive.

Abstract

This study aims to determine character independence building of senior high school students through the activities of OSIS in SMA Negeri 42 Jakarta. SMA Negeri 42 Jakarta is one of the schools that implements character education, especially the character of independence. The research method used is qualitative. The data was conducted by observation, documentation, and interviews to informants and key informant in SMA Negeri 42 Jakarta. The Interview conducted to the board of OSIS by using purposive sampling method. And by adding two key informant that is coach and student council Vice Head of Student Affairs. After that it is equipped by expert opinion. The results showed that the activities performed by OSIS SMA Negeri 42 Jakarta in shaping the character of OSIS management included viewing, speaking and listening activities, writing activities, moving activities, mental activities, and soul movement activities. Implementation of character-based self-reliant education conducted on board of OSIS includes the guidance of independence from the aspect of emotional independence, independence, economy, intellectual independence, and social independence. These activities are reflected by planning, implementing and evaluating each activity fairly well and upholding the spirit of mutual cooperation

Abstract

The results of observations in several junior high schools in Jakarta showed that in the current global era the presence of millennial generation cultural values, a person needs a strong controller to be able to choose and sort out the values freely offered. That is necessary to strengthen social tolerance, especially for teachers in Junior High School. The activity was carried out in order to establish a tolerant attitude, especially in instilling multicultural values such as democracy, justice, equality, tolerance and respect for diversity. As well as improving the ability of teachers to provide reinforcement of social tolerance in the learning of Civic Education in junior high school. The method used to strengthen social tolerance of Civic Education learning is through training that is guided by experienced instructors. The evaluation used to measure the success of this training can be seen through the training activity evaluation questionnaire that was filled in by all the training participants. The target audience for this training activity are Civic Education teachers in Junior High School at Jakarta. The results of this training show that in the cultivation of social tolerance there are several attitudes that must be taken, namely: Harmonious interaction, Instilling brotherhood, instilling caring attitude, Collaborative attitude. It is expected that the planting of social tolerance provided by Civic Education teacher to students can achieve Civic Education vision of building smart and good citizens. Furthermore, by cultivating sustainable tolerance it will build tolerant citizens. Because citizens who are intellectually intelligent, both emotionally and actively building a country for a better Indonesia.

Abstract

Void space in the bean layers will lead to the occurrence of non-fully interacted radiation (NFIR) affecting the reproducibility of NIRS measurements. Void space in addition to being affected by particle size is also influenced by the number/thickness of the bean layers. The objective of this study was to analyze the effect of number of bean layer variation on prediction accuracy of caffeine, chlorogenic acid and trigonelline in Bondowoso green Arabica coffee beans by NIR Spectroscopy (NIRS). The study was conducted using three kind of layers, i.e. 3, 4, and 5 layers, with 100 samples each. Samples were measured by FT-NIR spectrometer in wavelength of 1.000-2.500 nm. The pretreatment method used were second derivative (dg2), the combination of first derivative (dg1) and Multiplicative Scatter Correction (MSC), and the combination of dg2 and MSC, while calibration method used was Partial Least Square (PLS). The results shows that the accuracy of 5 layers was better than 3 or 4 layers. The best calibration and validation for caffeine was obtained by dg2 pretreatment and 6 factors of PLS (r = 0.99; SEC = 0.01%; SEP = 0.01%; and RPD = 5.40), for chlorogenic acid was by dg2 pretreatment and 5 factors of PLS (r = 0.99; SEC = 0.09%; SEP = 0.09%; and RPD = 4.76), whereas for trigonelline was by combination of (dg2, MSC) and 5 factors of PLS (r = 0.99; SEC = 0.01%; SEP = 0.01%; and RPD = 4.86). Therefore, the 5 layers can be used as a reference in NIRS measurement of coffee beans.

Abstract

The wave used to study the acoustic properties of mangosteen is ultrasonic wave. Ultrasonic wave with frequency of 50 KHz was used to determine acoustic properties of mangosteen. The main wave properties were the attenuation, impedance of acoustic and acoustic velocity at mangosteen. Others have been evaluated were the correlation of attenuation and acoustic velocity at parts of mangosteen with its intact mangosteen. The acoustic parameters were related to the physic-chemical parameters of the fruit (TDS and hardness). This relationship was used to study mangosteen properties and quality. Because of mangosteen structure and it’s pores (saw with low density), acoustic wave in manggosteen have low amplitude signal. It was saw with spectrum and FFT signal mangosteen and reference medium / air (1.4:2.3). The fruit with increasing maturity mount (from color index 2 to 5) will experience hardness degradation, improvement of TDS, which are related to degradation of acoustic attenuation, improvement of acoustic speed and impedance. Multiple regression method was used to get empiric equation of wave in mixture of flesh-seed, husk and mangosteen (parts of mangosteen with its intact mangosteen). That saw in equation 1 and 2. the velocity and attenuation of ultrasonic wave in mixture of flesh – seed have higher effect equation on mangosteen than husk. It means that acoustic properties of mixture of flesh – seed has more contribution than husk. Key word: attenuation, velocity, impedance, ultrasonic, mangosteen
