Abstract

A B S T R A C TPhysical exercise causes athletes to be at risk of injury. One of the most common muscle injuries is Delayed Onset Muscle Soreness (DOMS). DOMS is a pain felt by a person within 24-72 hours after sports activities. Active recovery is a physical activity that do in low intensity. Passive recovery means stop activity and not doing anything or total rest. This research is expected to find the type effective and efficient recovery in reducing DOMS symptoms. The type of this research is quasi experiment with the three group post-control group design. The sample is a student of Faculty of Sport Science State University of Padang which is divided into 3 groups. Each group consists of 15 students. Each Sample will perform an eccentric physical exercise by squatting 10 sets (1set: 20 steps) with a break for 30 seconds each set. After exercie group 1 didn?t do recovery, group 2 did a passive recovery and group 3 did active recovery. After 48 hours, DOMS measurements were made using Visual Analog Scale (VAS). Research data is tabulated and analyzed with descriptive statistic test, distribution normality test, homogeneity test, different test. Result of data analysis concluded there is effect of active recovery to DOMS symptom with p 0,005. There is no effect of passive recovery of DOMS symptoms with p 0, 180. Conclusion active recovery research can reduce DOMS symptoms.

Abstract

The problem in this study is that Vo2Max is still low due to lack of aerobic endurance and one of the exercises for aerobic endurance to improve Vo2Max is circuit training. The independent variable in this study is circuit training, and the dependent variable in this study is the increase in Vo2Max. The purpose of this study was to see the extent of the effect of circuit training on the increase in Vo2Max of basketball players at SMA Negeri 14 Padang City. This type of research is a quasi-experimental. The population in this study were all basketball players at SMA Negeri 14 Kota Padang who actively participated in training activities in 2020 as many as 58 people. The sampling technique in this study used purposive sampling technique, so the number of samples in this study were 14 male players in class XI SMA. Negeri 14 Padang City. The research instrument was an increase in Vo2Max for basketball players at SMA Negeri 14 Padang City. The study was conducted in July-August 2020, the data analysis technique in this study used the t test. Based on the results of research and hypothesis testing, it can be concluded that there is a significant effect of the training circuit training method on the increase in Vo2Max basketball players at SMA Negeri 14 Padang City, this is evidenced by the tcount of 10.39 while the t table is 1.77 with a significant level of α = 0 , 05.

Abstract

Accumulation of fat that occurs because of the imbalance of energy entering and excreting the human body causes obesity. The effort that can be done to eliminate fat is doing moderate intensity physical exercise which will make fat as energy. This study aims to describe descriptively changes in fat after moderate intensity physical exercise. 11 University Students of the Faculty of Sport Sciences who meet the criteria of inquiry, men, ages 19-20 years, ideal body weight according to BMI (Body Mass Index), willing to follow the research protocol and healthy selected as samples. The sample performed moderate intensity running exercise with a target heartrate 70% from the maximum heartrate controlled using the Heart Rate Monitor (Polar). Subcutaneous fat was measured on the body, legs and arms using the Omron Body Fat Monitor HBF-375 before and after exercising. The results showed a mean decrease in subcutaneous fat in the body, hands and feet decreased after physical exercise.

Abstract

Bukittinggi city is one of the tourist destinations that various types of activity offers in it, one of which is an effort to foster sports achievements and recreational sports. One of the sports that benefits from the location of this geograpis is the sports game Gateball. The sport was recently developed in the city and the organization was recently confirmed as a member of KONI Bukittinggi City. Gateball sports game is a game by inserting the ball into the goal using a stick. Gateball is played on a rectangular field measuring 15 x 20 meters, while the game time lasts for 30 minutes. Therefore, it is necessary to socialize and training techniques for administrators, prospective coaches and athletes. The design of the mechanism of implementation of this activity is carried out by measures consisting of the stage of planning activities with the board, then the process of the activity is carried out by the method of lectures and demonstrations. After the activity, further observation and evaluation is carried out to see the progress of the results of this training. From this activity can be obtained the following objectives;1) The administrators understand the concept of performance in running an organization with managerial support for the progress of this Gateball rganization. 2) Gateball coaches with training skills and experience supported by the application of science and technology. Conclusion in this activity, it is expected that the administrators collaborate with coaches to maximize the application of sports science studies to upset gateball sports and give birth to athletes in Bukittinggi city specifically and for west Sumatra province in general in various National and International championships

Abstract

Masalah dalam penelitian ini adalah kurangnya kemampuan chest pass atlet club bolabasket tingkat SMP Klub Halilintar Bukittinggi. Variable dalam penelitian ini adalah latihan rapid fire sebagai variabel bebas dan kemampuanchest pass sebagai variabel terikat. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui pengaruh latihan rapid fire terhadap kemampuanchest pass atlet bolabasket tingkat SMP Klub Halilintar Bukittinggi.Jenis penelitian ini adalah eksperimen semu, jadi penelitian (quasi eksperimen) menggunakan seluruh subjek dalam kelompok belajar (intact group) untuk diberi perlakuan (treatment), dengan populasi atlet bolabasket tingkat SMPKlub Halilintar Bukittinggi yang berjumlah 24 orang yang terdiri dari 12 pemain putra dan 12 pemain putri, sampel dalam penelitian ini adalah seluruh atlet putra tingkat SMP Klub Halilintar Bukittinggi yang berjumlah 12 orang. Instrumen penelitian yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah tes Wallbounce Basketball Passing Test, untuk mengukur kemampuanchest passsecara cepat dan tepat. Setelah itu, data diolah dengan statistik, untuk menguji normalitas dengan uji lilifors. Hipotesis yang diajukan adalah adanya pengaruh latihan rapid fire terhadap kemampuan chest pass.

Abstract

Permasalahan dalam penelitian ini adalah kemampuan pemain atas, passing bawah, passing atas, dan smash pemain bola voli putri klub Padang Adios Kota Padang, Sumatra Barat. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui tingkat keterampilan teknis dasar pemain bola voli ADIOS kota Padang. Metode penelitian ini adalah metode deskriptif. Populasi penelitian berjumlah 15 orang, teknik pengambilan sampel diambil dengan total sampling, sehingga diperoleh sampel 15 orang. Berdasarkan analisis data, hasil penelitian adalah sebagai berikut (1) kemampuan pelayanan di atas diperoleh nilai rata-rata 35,13 yang dikategorikan cukup ada sebanyak 4 orang (27%); (2) kemampuan lulus di bawah skor rata-rata 26,67 dikategorikan cukup ada sebanyak 8 orang (53%); (3) kemampuan passing dari skor rata-rata 21,53 cukup dikategorikan sebagai 4 orang (27%); dan (4) kemampuan smash diperoleh nilai rata-rata 18,8 dikategorikan cukup ada sebanyak 3 orang (20%).

Abstract

Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui pengaruh latihan plyometrics terhadap daya ledak otot tungkai pemain bolavoli SMAN 8 Padang. Jenis penelitian ini adalah eksperimen semu (quasi eksperimen). Populasi dalam penelitian ini adalah seluruh pemain bolavoli SMAN 8 Padang sebanyak 22 orang. Pengambilan sampel dilakukan dengan teknik purposive sampling yaitu pemain bolavoli putra SMAN 8 Padang sebanyak 13 orang. Untuk mendapatkan data penelitian digunakan vertical jump test. Berdasarkan hasil analisis data diketahui bahwa latihan plyometrics memberikan pengaruh yang berarti terhadap daya ledak otot tungkai. Dimana rata-rata pre test daya ledak otot tungkai sebesar 95,3146 kg-m/sec sedangkan post test nya meningkat menjadi 100,8915 kg-m/sec. Kemudian diperoleh uji beda mean (uji t) sebesar thitung 6,628 sedangkan ttabel sebesar 2,179 dengan taraf signifikan α = 0,05 dan n = 13, maka thitung > ttabel (6,628 > 2,179), maka dapat disimpulkan bahwa adanya pengaruh yang signifikan dari bentuk latihan plyometrics terhadap daya ledak otot tungkai pada pemain bolavoli SMAN 8 Padang.

Abstract

Masalah dalam penelitian ini adalah rendahnya kemampuan daya ledak otot tungkai atlet bolabasket putera SMAN 3 Payakumbuh. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui dan membandingkan pengaruh latihan plyometrics sistem set dengan sistem sirkuit terhadap kemampuan dayaledak otot tungkai. Jenis penelitian ini adalah eksperimen. Instrumen penelitian adalah vertical jump. Jumlah populasi 16 orang. Pengambilan sampel dilakukan dengan teknik purposive sampling dimana jumlah sampel adalah 10 orang. Data yang ada diuji dengan uji-t. Sebelum dilakukan analisis uji-t terlebih dahulu dilakukan uji normalitas. Berdasarkan hasil analisis data untuk sistem set diperoleh thitung sebesar 3,43 dan ttabel sebesar 2,02 (thitung = 3,43 > ttabel = 2,02). Artinya latihan sistem set berpengaruh. Analisis data sistem sirkuit diperoleh thitung sebesar 4,80 dan ttabel sebesar 2.02 (thitung = 4,80 > ttabel = 2,02). Artinya latihan sistem sirkuit berpengaruh. Berdasarkan analisis data diatas dapat dikatakan bahwa tidak adanya perbedaan yang signifikan antara sistem set dengan sistem sirkuit.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui seberapa besar motivasi yang diambil siswa SMA Negeri 1 Padang dalam kegiatan ekstrakurikuler bola basket. Selain itu, juga untuk mengetahui berapa persentase di setiap indikator. Penelitian ini adalah penelitian deskriptif kuantitatif dengan menggunakan metode survei dengan teknik pengumpulan data menggunakan kuesioner. Subjek dalam penelitian ini adalah 24 siswa yang berpartisipasi dalam kegiatan ekstrakurikuler bola basket. Teknik analisis data menggunakan analisis deskriptif kuantitatif yang dituangkan dalam bentuk persentase motivasi siswa SMA Negeri 1 Padang dalam mengikuti kegiatan ekstrakurikuler bola basket. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa motivasi siswa SMA Negeri 1 Padang dalam mengikuti bola basket Kegiatan ekstrakurikuler secara keseluruhan adalah sebagai berikut: 0 siswa (0,00%) memiliki motivasi sangat rendah, 12 siswa (50%) memiliki motivasi rendah, 12 siswa (50%) memiliki motivasi sedang, dan 0 siswa (0,00%) memiliki motivasi tinggi . Jadi secara keseluruhan motivasi siswa SMA Negeri 1 Padang dalam kegiatan ekstrakurikuler bola basket termasuk dalam kategori "rendah" atau sekitar (62%).
