Abstract

The aim of this research is to study the effect of supplemented cellulolytic bacteria B-6 as a probiotic sourches in drinking water on the protein, fat, cholesterol and egg yolk color contents in egg of Lohmann Brown laying hens aged 40-48 week. The research was conducted in Dajan Peken Village, Tabanan, Bali, for three months. The design used in this study was Completely Randomized Design with three treatments and six replications. The treatments were: drinking water without probiotic addition of B-6 Cellulolytic bacteria as control (A), drinking water with probiotics of B-6 Cellulolytic bacteria as much as 0,2% (B), and drinking water with probiotic of B-6 Cellulolytic bacteria with 0,4% (C). The variables observed in this study were egg yolk protein, fat, cholesterol and egg yolk color. The results showed that the egg yolk protein and egg yolk color at treatment of B and C were significantly higher (P<0,05) than those of A treatment, while egg yolk fat and egg yolk cholesterol at treatment of B and C were significantly lower (P<0,05) than those of A treatment. It can be concluded that the supplemented of 0,2% and 0,4% cellulolytics bacteria B-6 as a probiotic sourches in drinking water improvement yolk color and protein content of egg, but decreasing fat and cholesterol content in egg of Lohmann Brown laying hens. Abstract

The purpose this study was to assess the provision of 5% water extract of leaves katuk (Sauropus androgynus) and the water extract of leaves of Moringa (Moringa aloivera Lam) in drinking water can increase the weight of beef and broiler chicken carcasses. The design used in this study is completely randomized design (CRD) with three treatments and six replications. These three treatments are chickens given drinking water without the water extract of leaves of Moringa or katuk as control (A), chicken by water extract of leaves katuk 5% through drinking water (B), Chicken by water extract of leaves of Moringa 5% through drinking water (C). The variables measured were: slaughter weight, carcass weight, carcass percentage, the consumption of protein and lysine consumption. The results showed that pieces of broilers fed extracts of leaves katuk 5% water through drinking water (B) and broilers were given a water extract of leaves of Moringa 5% through drinking water (C), respectively 17,47% and 17,20% were significantly different (P<0.05) higher than the untreated A. chicken carcass weight of broilers were treated (B) and broilers are treated (C), respectively 25,62% and 25,16% were significantly different (P<0.05) than chickens treated A. Percentage of broiler carcasses were treated B and broilers are treated C, respectively 6,95% and 6,79% were significantly different (P<0.05) higher compared to treatment A. protein consumption of broilers were treated B and broilers are treated C, respectively 2,03% and 1,80% were significantly different (P<0.05) higher compared to the treatment of A. and the consumption of lysine broilers were treated B and broilers are treated C, respectively 1,87% and 1,77% were significantly different (P<0.05) higher in comparison with treatment A. Based this study it can be concluded that the provision of 5% of katuk leaves (Sauropus androgynus) and/or Moringa leaves (Moringa aloivera Lam) water extract in drinking water can increase the slaughter weight and carcasses of broiler.

Abstract

Tinggi kandungan serat kasar pada dedak padi berpengaruh pada efiesiensi penggunaan ransum, oleh karena itu pemberian dedak padi pada ransum harus dibatasi. Keterbatasan penggunan dedak padi disebabkan karena tingginya kandungan serat kasar, yang berdampak pada menurunnya kecernaannya.Oleh karena itu ransum yang menggunakan komponen  dedak padi yang cukup tinggi (20-30%) perlu dilakukan rekayasa bioteknologi fermentasi. Tujuan dari penelitian ini untuk mengetahui pengaruh penggunaan khamir Saccharomyces spyang diisolasi dari tape sebagai inokulan fermentasi dedak padiuntukmeningkatkannilai nutrisi dan nilai cerna dedak padi. Rancangan yang diamati adalah rancangan Acak Lengkap  (RAL) dengan 3 perlakuan dan 6 kali ulangan. Ketiga perlakuan tersebut adalah dedak padi tanpa fermentasi (A),dedak padi terfermentasi dengan 0,20% kultur khamir Saccharomyces sp (B),dedak padi terfermentasi dengan 0,40%dan kultur khamir Saccharomyces sp (C). Variabel yang diamati adalah kandungan nutrient yang diamati adalah  bahan kering, bahan organik, protein kasar,dan serat kasar,koefisien cerna yang diamati adalah koefisien cerna bahan kering, bahan organik, protein kasar, dan serat kasar.Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa kandungan bahan kering dan bahan organik dedak padi perlakuan B dan C tidak berbeda nyata (P>0,05) dibandingkan dengan kontrol (A). Namun kandungan protein kasar dan serat kasar meningkat nyata (P<0,05) dibandingkan di kontrol. Fermentasidedak padi perlakuan B dan C nyata (P<0,05) dapat meningkatkan koefisien cerna bahan kering bahan organik, protein kasar dan serat kasar dedak padi dibandingkan di kontrol (A). Dari hasil penelitian ini dapat disimpulkan bahwa fermentasi dedak padi yang menggunakan kulturkhamir Saccharomyces spyang diisolasi dari ragi tape dapat meningkatkan kandungan protein kasar kasar dan serat kasar serta koefisien cerna bahan kering, bahan organik, protein kasar, dan koefisien cernaseratkasar dedak padi.

Abstract

The aim of this study is to obtain the optimum level of supplementation of Saccharomyces spp.G-7 culture as a source of probiotics in the ration against performance of broilers aged 2-6 weeks. About 36 chickens were chosen in average 2 week old broiler chickens with homogeneous weight, without considering the sex of the chickens. Complete randomized design (CRD) method used with three treatments and six repetitions. The third treatment was chicken which were given basal rations without supplementation of cultures of Saccharomyces spp.G-7 as a control (A), with 0,20% supplementation of cultures of Saccharomyces spp.G-7 (B), and 0.40% supplementation of cultures of Saccharomyces spp . G-7 (C). Each experimental unit were filled with two of 2 weeks of age broiler chickens with homogeneous weight. Variables which were observed including: ration consumption, water consumption, final body weight, weight gain, "Feed Conversion Ratio" (FCR). Based on the results above that supplementation of cultures of Saccharomyces spp.G-7 at the level of 0,20% and 0,40% in the basal diet (P<0.05) was obviously increased the feed consumption, water consumption, final body weight, weight gain , and efficiency of feed utilization compared to control. It is concluded that supplementation of 0,20% Saccharomyces spp.G-7 culture as a source of probiotics in diets were increased performance of broiler aged 2-6 week.

Abstract

The purpose of this study is to determine the extent of the effect of garlic (Allium sativum) on physical quality of eggs lohmann brown age 22-30 weeks. This research was conducted for 3 months at laying hens farm in Dajan Peken Village, Tabanan Sub-district, Tabanan Regency. 36 Lohmann Brown chickens with homogeneous weights were kept in 18 plots of batrey cages. The design used in this study was a complete randomized design (CRD) with 3 treatments and 6 replications. The treatment consisted of drinking water without added garlic water extract (A) as control, drinking water with 3% extra garlic water extract (B) and drinking water with additional garlic water extract of 6% (C). The variables observed in this study were egg weight, percentage of egg white to egg weight, egg yolk percentage to egg weight, and percentage of egg shell to egg weight. The results showed the egg weight, egg yolk percentage and egg shell percentage in chicken has given garlic water extract was significantly heavier (P <0.05) compared with the controls, while in actual egg white percentage (P> 0.05) smaller than control. Based on the result of this research, it can be concluded that the giving of garlic extract (Allium sativum) with 3% and 6% level through the drinking water can increase egg weight, egg yolk percentage, and egg shell percentage, and decrease percentage of chicken egg white Lohmann Brown age 22-30 weeks. Abstract

The aim of this research is to study the effect of B-6 cellulolytic bacteria probiotic through drinking water on the 40-48 week old Lohmann Brown hen egg production 40-48 weeks old. The research was conducted in Dajan Peken Village, Tabanan, Bali, for three months starting from preparation until report writing. The design used in this study was Completely Randomized Design (RAL) with three treatments and six replications. The treatments were: drinking water without probiotic addition of B-6 cellulolytic bacteria as control (P0), drinking water with probiotics of B-6 cellulolytic bacteria as much as 0.2% (P1), and drinking water with B- 6 probiotic of cellulolytic bacteria with 0.4% (P2). The variables observed in this study were ration consumption, drinking water consumption, egg number, total egg weight, average egg weight and Feed Conversion Ratio (FCR). The results showed that the consumption of rations, drinking water, total eggs, total egg weight and average egg weight at treatment of P1 and P2 were significantly higher (P <0.05) compared with P0 treatment while the FCR has decrease. Based on the results, it can be concluded that the provision of B-6 cellulolytic bacteria as a source of probiotics through drinking water at the level of 0.2% and 0.4% can increase the 40-48 week old Lohmann Brown hen egg production and decrease FCR. Abstract

This study aims find out the effect of katuk leaf (Sauropus androgynus L. Merr) extract given into drinking water to egg production of Lohmann Brown chicken. This research was conducted in Dajan Peken Village, Tabanan Sub-district, Tabanan District for 2 months. A total of 36 Lohmann Brown chicks aged 22-30 weeks used in this study were divided into three treatments. The treatment consisted of drinking water without katuk leaf extract (Sauropus androgynus L. Merr) as control (K0), drinking water given 3% katuk leaf extract (Sauropus androgynus) as K1, and drinking water given 6% katuk leaf extract (Sauropus androgynus) as K2. The research design used was Completely Randomized Design (CRD) with six replications. The observed variables include feed consumption, water consumption, feed conversion ratio, total egg production, hen day production (HDP), egg weight and egg weight on average. In case of significant differences, then followed by multiple analysis of Duncan multiple range test. The results showed that giving the katuk leaf extract (Sauropus androgynus) through drinking water as much as 3% and 6% can markedly increase feed consumption, water consumption, total egg production, hen day production (HDP), egg weight and egg weight on average (P<0.05), but decreased the conversion rate of the ration (P <0.05). Based on the result of the research, it can be concluded that giving the katuk leaf extract (Sauropus androgynus) as much as 3% and 6% through drinking water can increase Lohmann Brown chicken egg production aged 22-30 weeks. Abstract

Penelitian bertujuan untuk mengkaji persentase daging dada dan paha broiler yang diberi ampas tahu terfermentasi dengan khamir Saccharomyces sp. sebagai inokulan probiotik.  Rancangan yang digunakan adalah Rancangan Acak Lengkap (RAL) dengan tiga perlakuan  dan enam ulangan. Variabel yang diamati adalah berat karkas, komposisi fisik bagian dada, dan komposisi fisik bagian paha atas. Ketiga perlakuan yaitu ayam yang diberi ransum tanpa ampas tahu terfermentasi kultur Saccharomyces sp. sebagai kontrol (A), ayam yang diberi ransum 5% ampas tahu terfermentasi kultur Saccharomyces sp. (B), dan ayam yang diberi ransum 10% ampas tahu terfermentasi kultur Saccharomyces sp. (C). Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa pemberian ampas tahu terfermentasi kultur Saccharomyces sp. pada level 5% (B) dan 10% (C) pada persentase dada dan daging dada ayam broiler memberikan hasil yang nyata lebih tinggi (P<0,05) dari pada ayam yang mendapat perlakuan ransum tanpa ampas tahu (perlakuan A), tetapi tidak berpengaruh nyata (P>0,05) terhadap persentase tulang dada, lemak subkutan termasuk kulit dada, paha atas, daging paha atas, tulang paha atas dan lemak subkutan termasuk kulit paha atas dibandingkan dengan kontrol (A). Dari hasil penelitian dapat disimpulkan bahwa pemberian ampas tahu tefermentasi kultur Saccharomyces sp. pada level 5%-10% dalam ransum dapat meningkatkan persentase daging pada recahan dada dan persentase daging dada karkas ayam broiler.

Abstract

Egg in one of the food contains high nutrition. Egg quality is very important duc to its content. One of the efforts to increase egg quality is improving ration given to the chicken, such as probiotic supplementation. This research purpose was to find out the effect of probiotics Saccharomyces spp. Gb-7 and Gb-9 given into ration to the physical quality of egg Lohmann Brown chicken the age of 40 to 48 weeks. This research was carried out for 12 weeks in Dajan Peken, Tabanan, Bali. The randomized complete design (RAL) with three treatments and six replicates were used in a the research. Those treatments were ration without supplementation of Saccharomyces spp. (A), ration with supplementation of 0,3% Saccharomyces spp. Gb-7 (B), and ration with supplementation 0,3% Saccharomyces spp. Gb-9 (C). The variables observed were the egg weight, white egg weight, egg yolk weight, and egg shell weight. The study result showed that ration with supplementation of 0,3% Saccharomyces spp. Gb-7 (B) and ration with supplementation 0,3% Saccharomyces spp. Gb-9 (C) significantly different (P<0,05) on the weight of the egg, the weight of egg white, the weight of egg yolk, and the weight of egg shell. Based on the result above it can be concluded that the effect of 0.3 % probiotics Saccharomyces spp. Gb-7 or Gb-9 in rations Lohmann Brown chicken at the age of 40-48 weeks can increase the physical quality of the egg which weight of egg, percentage of egg yolk, percentage of egg shell, and but has decrease percentage of white egg. Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh pemberian sabun kalsium dalam ransum terhadap performans itik bali jantan. Penelitian dilaksanakan selama 42 hari di Jalan Tegal Wangi II Gang Kavling No. 9 Sesetan, Denpasar, Bali. Rancangan yang digunakan rancangan acak lengkap (RAL) yang terdiri dari 4 perlakuan dan 6 ulangan. Tiap petak percobaan diisi dengan 4 ekor itik bali jantan berumur 14 hari dengan berat badan rata-rata 178 g ± 20,8. Keempat perlakuan tersebut adalah itik bali jantan yang diberi ransum tanpa sabun kalsium sebagai kontrol (A), ransum dengan pemberian 1% sabun kalsium (B), ransum dengan pemberian 2% sabun kalsium (C), dan ransum dengan pemberian 3% (D). Variabel yang diamati yaitu berat badan awal, konsumsi ransum, berat badan akhir, pertambahan berat badan, dan Feed Convertion Ratio (FCR). Konsumsi ransum itik bali jantan yang mendapat perlakuan B, C, dan D secara statistik nyata (P<0,05) lebih rendah dibandingkan dengan perlakuan A. Berat badan akhir dan pertambahan berat badan secara statistik nyata (P<0,05) lebih tinggi dari perlakuan A. Feed Convertion Ratio perlakuan B, C, dan D secara statistik nyata (P<0,05) lebih rendah dari perlakuan A. Dari hasil penelitian dapat disimpulkan bahwa pemberian sabun kalsium pada itik bali jantam umur 2 – 8 minggu dapat menurunkan konsumsi ransum, meningkatkan bobot badan akhir dan pertambahan berat badan serta Feed Convertion Ratio semakin efisien.
