Abstract

The Family of Hope Program (PKH) is one of the poverty alleviation programs organized by the Indonesian Ministry of Social Affairs. This conditional social assistance program aims to reduce the burden of spending and increase the income of poor and vulnerable families.  Currently the number of PKH Beneficiary Families (KPM) reaches 25,593 households. In order to make improvements to the PKH program, it is necessary to evaluate the sustainability of the program's usefulness in the future. Therefore this research was conducted to evaluate the feasibility of beneficiary families of government assistance programs (KPM PKH) in Semarang City. Besides aiming to evaluate the suitability of the community / family of beneficiaries (KPM PKH) in Semarang City based on criteria set by the Government, this study also aims to analyze the distribution of the use / utilization of government assistance by KPM PKH in Semarang City. Feasibility Study of Beneficiary Family Benefit Program (KPM PKH) Against Government Assistance Program in Semarang City is carried out using a concurrent mixed strategy. In this strategy the researcher took qualitative and quantitative data at once in a certain time span. The results showed that the district with the highest number of recipients was Semarang Utara District. Meanwhile, Tugu District is the region with the lowest number of beneficiary families. The gradual selection and verification process makes PKH acceptance in Semarang City selectively and on target (fulfilling eligibility criteria).

Abstract

Perlindungan Pekerja Migran Indonesia (PMI) menjadi hal yang sangat penting dan harus diperhatikan oleh negara. Sebab, pekerja Migran sangat membutuhkan pemahaman dan pendampingan terkait perlindungan bagi PMI. Ini supaya PMI yang menjadi salah satu sumber devisa negara menjadi aman dan nyaman dalam bekerja di negara lain. Johor merupakan salah satu negara bagian dari Malaysia, dimana menjadi salah satu wilayah yang mempunyai jumlah PMI terbanyak sehingga ditemui berbagai permasalahan baik pada PMI yang Legal maupun Ilegal. Pekerja migran Indonesia yang mengalami masalah di tampung pada Tempat Singgah Sementara yang disediakan KJRI Johor bahru, sebagai upaya memberikan rasa aman dan nyaman kepada PMI, maka tim pengabdian memberikan pendampingan hukum kepada PMI. Program tersebut fokus pada 45 PMI yang mengalami masalah hukum dan akan dikembalikan ke Indonesia, selain itu tim pengabdian memberikan peatihan alat peraga manipulatif matematika kepada guru sekolah Indonesia Johor Bahru (SIJB) yang dapat di aplikasikan pada siswa-siswi pekerja migran di Johor bahru.

Abstract

Mangrove merupakan tumbuhan khas yang terdapat di wilayah pesisir. Motif batik mangrove sebagai tanaman pesisir belum diekpos dengan optimal. Sementara itu lingkungan pesisir dengan flora dan faunanya mempunyai potensi yang luar biasa sebagai motif batik. Disamping sebagai motif, tumbuhan mangrove juga dapat digunakan sebagai pewarna batik alami yang saat ini sedang menjadi tren di masyarakat. Pemanfaatan mangrove sebagai pewarna alami ini disamping memberikan nuansa warna alami dan motif yang indah, juga dapat mengurangi pencemaran lingkungan. Metode pelaksanaan kegiatan dilakukan berbasis kelompok, secara komprehensif dilakukan pendampingan pada seluruh aspek mulai dari menyediakan sarana dan prasarana, serta meningkatkan berbagai keterampilan SDM melalui pelatihan. Untuk meningkatkan nilai jula batik mangrove yang dihasilkan, mitra binaan diberi pelatihan membuat diversifkasi produk batik berupa bros, dompet dan tas berbahan baku batik mangrove. Hasil kegiatan pengabdian ini dapat memberikan motif dan corak batik mangrove yang lebih bervariasi. Disamping itu dihasilkan diversifkasi produk batik mangrove menjadi bros, dompet dan tas yang mempunyai nilai jual lebih tinggi dari pada hanya lembaran kain. Mitra binaan mengikuti pameran untuk lebih mengenalkan hasil batik mangrove kepada masyarakat dan dinas-dinas terkait.

Abstract

Gas buang yang dihasilkan oleh kendaraan bermotor pengguna bahan bakar bensin bertimbal mengemisikan Pb ke dalam lingkungan dan berpotensi terserap ke dalam jaringan daun tanaman peneduh jalan. Penelitian bertujuan untuk menguji kandungan timbal (Pb) dalam daun tanaman peneduh di jalan protokol Kota Semarang. Sampel penelitian adalah daun angsana (Pterocarpus indicus Willd), glodokan (Polyalthia longifolia Bent Hook. F) dan mahoni (Swietenia mahagoni (L.) Jacq.) yang dominan digunakan sebagai peneduh di lima jalan protokol Kota Semarang yaitu Jl. Kalibanteng, Jl. Pemuda, Jl. Brigjen Katamso, Jl. Kaligawe dan Jl. Setyabudi. Kandungan Pb dalam daun tanaman angsana, glodokan dan mahoni diuji menggunakan metode AAS (Atomic Absorption Spectrophotometery) di Laboratorium Balai Besar Teknologi Pencegahan Pencemaran Industri (BBTPPI) Semarang. Hasil penelitian ditemukan kandungan Pb dalam daun tanaman peneduh di jalan protokol Kota Semarang. Kandungan Pb dalam daun tertinggi 0,05 ppm/g daun basah terdapat pada tanaman angsana dan terendah sebesar 0,01 ppm/g terdapat pada tanaman glodokan dan mahoni. Dari hasil penelitian disimpulkan bahwa kandungan Pb dalam daun tanaman peneduh di jalan protokol Kota Semarang berkisar 0,01-0,05 ppm/g daun basah dan tergolong rendah dibawah kadar normal Pb dalam tanaman yaitu 0,5-3,0 ppm.Exhaust gases produced by motor vehicle users leaded gasoline emits Pb into the environment and potentially absorbed into the leaf tissue of plants along the roadside. The study aimed to examine the content of lead (Pb) in the shade plant leaves in the Semarang City road protocol. Samples were angsana leaves (Pterocarpus indicus Willd), glodokan (Polyalthia longifolia Bent Hook. F) and mahogany (Swietenia mahagoni (L.) Jacq.). They were predominantly used as a shade in five main streets of Semarang is Kalibanteng St, Youth St, Brig Katamso St, Kaligawe St and Setyabudi St. The content of Pb in the Angsana, glodokan and mahogany leaves were tested using AAS (Atomic Absorption Spectrophotometery) method in Great Hall of The Pollution Prevention Technology Laboratory Semarang. The results showed that the content of Pb was found in the shade plant leaves in the Semarang road protocol. The highest Pb content in leaves was 0.05 ppm/g wet leaves at Angsana plants and the lowest was 0.01 ppm/g contained in mahogany and glodokan plants. Based on the results of this study, it concluded that the content of Pb in the shade plant leaves in the Semarang protocol ranged from 0.01 to 0.05 ppm/g wet leaves and relatively low under normal levels of Pb in plants is 0.5 to 3.0 ppm.

Abstract

The coastal region is a dynamic area as a transition between the land and the sea. The ecological function of the coastal area is affected mainly by the structure and composition of vegetation factors. This study aims to analyze the vegetation stratification of terrestrial to marine ecosystems in the coastal area of Semarang City, Central Java Indonesia as an effort to manage a sustainable ecosystem. A striped path combined with nested plots were applied in this research. The plots were placed by systematic purposive sampling based on the homogeneity of vegetation found along with the topographic conditions of the research location. Analysis of qualitative data used by way of inventorying plants and identifying plants based on morphological characteristics that can be observed. Data analysis was performed based on the results of an inventory of the structure and composition of vegetation obtained including the index of diversity, evenness, and species richness. The results of plant identification found in the three locations recorded 51 plant species consisting of 29 families. The different types of vegetation in Taman Lele, Tapak, and Tirang Beach affect the diversity, richness, and evenness index of vegetation in all three locations. Therefore, it can be concluded that different environmental factors contribute to the vegetation stratification from the land to the sea. This is the first report on the Semarang coastal area vegetation stratification. The results can have a positive impact on the coastal area conservation strategy for sustainable management, as well as to be a media for environmental education purpose.

Abstract

Peningkatan jumlah kendaraan bermotor berpotensi meningkatkan pencemaran udara terutama di jalan-jalan protokol. Untuk mengurangi semakin tingginya bahan pencemar yang dihasilkan kendaraan bermotor, perlu adanya pohon-pohon yang berfungsi sebagai penyerap dan penjerap bahan pencemar dan debu di udara yang dihasilkan kendaraan bermotor. Tujuan penelitain ini adalah mengetahui peranan tanaman di jalan-jalan protokol Kota Semarang dilihat dari kualitas dan kuantitasnya. Data mengenai jenis tanaman peneduh yang ada di jalan protokol Kota Semarang dihitung dengan metode line intercept. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa kualitas udara di Kota Semarang sudah cukup mengkhawatirkan, hal ini dipandang dari kadar CO yang relatif tinggi. Hasil penelitian terhadap jenis tanaman yang ada di jalan protokol Kota Semarang, dapat diketahui jenis tanaman yang ditanam di 5 jalan protokol Kota Semarang berjumlah 29 jenis. Jenis maupun jumlah tanaman yang ada pada masing-masing stasiun penelitian tidak berpengaruh positif terhadap kadar bahan pencemar udara yang ada. Simpulan dari penelitian ini ialah kualitas maupun kuantitas tanaman yang ada pada jalan-jalan protokol lokasi penelitian tidak berpengaruh positif terhadap kadar bahan pencemar udara yang ada. Hal ini dikarenakan jenis dan jumlah tanaman pada masing-masing jalan protokol tidak sesuai dengan tanaman peneduh yang mempunyai fungsi sebagai penjerap dan penyerap polutan udara.The increasing number of motor vehicles might potentially increase the air pollution in main roads. To reduce the increasing concentration of pollutants generated by motor vehicles, the trees are planted to absorb the pollutants and the dust in the air. The objective of the research was to understand the role of the plants along the main roads in Semarang City, from point of view of quality and quantity. Data on the kind and density of shedding plants along the main roads of Semarang City was collected using line intercept method. Result showed that the air quality of Semarang City has been worrying in terms of the high concentration of CO. There were 29 kinds of trees planted along 5 main roads in Semarang City. The kind and the number of plants in each station did not influence positively to the concentration of the air pollutants. It was concluded that the quality and the quantity of the plants along the study sites did not positively influence the concentration of the air pollutants. It was presumed that the kind and the number of plants along each ain road in Semarang was not appropriately functioning as the absorbants of the air pollutants.

Abstract

Tujuan penelitian untuk mengetahui kualitas fisiko kimia air sungai Kaligarang dan kandungan logam berat pada ikan mas dan ikan nila yang hidup di sungai tersebut. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian eksperimen lapangan, menggunakan Karamba Jaring Apung.  Parameter fisiko-kimia yang diukur adalah suhu, pH, DO,  alkalinitas, kesadahan, kecerahan dan kecepatan arus serta kandungan logam berat di air sungai, menggunakan metode  Atomic Absorption Spectrophotometry (AAS).  Kadar logam berat Cd, Pb dan Hg juga dianalisis pada ikan mas dan ikan nila Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa suhu, pH, DO, alkalinitas, kesadahan, kecerahan dan kecepatan arus masih berada dalam  kisaran yang layak bagi kehidupan ikan. Kadar Cd, Pb dan Hg di perairan masing-masing adalah sebesar 0,006 mg/L, 0,01 mg/L dan 0,0006 mg/L.  Kadar Cd, Pb dan Hg pada hati ikan nila berturut-turut 0,000407 mg/kg, 0,000812 mg/kg dan 0,000575 mg/kg, sedangkan pada ikan mas 0,000307 mg/kg, 0,000269 mg/kg dan 0,000349 mg/kg. Kesimpulan; air sungai Kaligarang  terkontaminasi logam berat Cd, Pb dan Hg  dan ikan  yang hidup di  sungai tersebut telah  mengakumulasikan ketiga logam berat  tadi.  The aim of this study is to determine the quality of water in Kaligarang based on the physicochemical characteristics and heavy metal content in carp and tilapia fish live in the river. This study is a field experiment, by using Karamba floating net; the fish were caught and maintained. The physicochemical parameters of the water measured were temperature, pH, oxygen, alkalinity, hardness and brightness, speed of the flow and content of heavy metals. The heavy metal content was measured using Atomic Absorption Spectrophotometry (AAS). Levels of heavy metals (Cd, Pb and Hg) were also analyzed in carp and tilapia. The results showed that temperature, pH, oxygen, alkalinity, hardness, brightness and speed of the flow were still within the appropriate range for the life of the fish. Levels of Cd, Pb and Hg in water were amounted to 0.006 mg/L, 0.01 mg/L and 0.0006 mg/L, respectively. Surprisingly, the levels of Cd, Pb and Hg in liver of tilapia were 0.000407 mg/kg, 0.000812 mg/kg and 0.000575 mg/kg, respectively, whereas in carp were 0.000307 mg/kg, 0.000269 mg/kg and 0.000349 mg/kg, respectively. It can be concluded that, Kaligarang River was contaminated with heavy metals Cd, Pb and Hg. This contamination leads to the accumulation of heavy metals in fish that live in the river.

Abstract

Observation results obtained by the availability of learning resources used are still less diverse and do not support the learning objectives achieved. The learning resources used are still limited to book packages, Student Worksheets (LKS) and Power Points (PPt). The biodiversity in Jepara Bondo Beach is very high which has not been used as a source of learning biology at SMA Islam Nusantara and SMA PGRI Jepara. The environment around the school has not been used as a learning resource because it has not represented biological wealth. Therefore, Jepara Bondo Beach is a representative place to be used as a source of learning that is close to schools. This study aims to develop an e-booklet on the diversity of Mollusca at Bondo Beach, Jepara in a factual, systematically arranged according to the material, valid, effective in increasing learning outcomes in the cognitive and psychomotor domains in practicing oral communication skills in the sub-material classification of living things. This research uses the development method (R&D) with the ADDIE model (Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation, and Evaluation). The research data were analyzed for its characteristics, validity and effectiveness. The results of the study can be concluded that the e-booklet characteristics of Mollusca paintings on Bondo Beach Jepara are factual which are arranged systematically so that they can reach TP 10.1 to 10.3, the e-booklet is very valid and feasible to use based on expert judgment, and is effective in increasing cognitive and psychomotor learning outcomes in practicing oral communication skills.

Abstract

Perubahan iklim global dapat menyebabkan wilayah pesisir Semarang semakin rentan terhadap erosi dan sedimentasi. Akibatnya peranan fungsi kawasan pesisir sebagai habitat biota laut terganggu, salah satunya habitat hewan benthik. Makrozoobentos meiliki peranan ekologis sebagai suber energi rantai makanan pada perairan. Pembangunan alat pemecah ombak (APO) merupakan salah satu upaya untuk mengendalikan erosi dan mengurangi dampak abrasi di wilayah pesisir, sehingga dapat memulihkan habitat makrozoobentos yang telah terdegradasi. Tujuan dalam penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui keanekaragaman jenis makrozoobentos di sekitar APO wilayah pesisir Semarang. Metode purposive sampling digunakan untuk menentukan 3 stasiun pengamatan, yaitu Kelurahan Mangunharjo, Kelurahan Tugurejo, dan Kelurahan Trimulyo. Sampel diambil sebanyak 3 kali dengan selang waktu 2 minggu. Data yang dianalisis adalah indeks keanekaragaman, indeks kemerataan, dan indeks dominansi. Jenis makrozoobentos yang diperoleh di sekitar APO wilayah pesisir Semarang sebanyak 23 jenis yang tersebar dalam 4 kelas, yaitu Kelas Gastropoda, Bivalvia, Crustacea, dan Polychaeta. Indeks keanekaragaman jenis pada ketiga stasiun berkisar antara 1,81-2,24 (kategori sedang). Indeks kemerataannya stabil dan dominansinya rendah, sehingga keadaan perairannya cukup mendukung bagi kehidupan makrozoobentos.
