Abstract

This Research is aimed to test the effectiveness of game-based learning multimedia in order to improve student learning outcomes on English subject with the tpic of grammar in the classroom. The research development of multimedia game-based learning using the procedure of Raiser and Demsey consisting of 8 stages namely:1) Analysis, 2) Design 3) Development. 4) Implement, 5) Evaluate. The trial of product development tested had passed several processes covering; the review from media’s expert which includes software changes and visual communication, the review from content’s expert covers material and instructional design, students’ responses towards products’ usage and attractiveness, small group and big group test trial. The results of the feasibility test of a team of experts covering media expert results obtained 4,7 categorized as very good and content experts 4,7 which is at a range of very good category. After the product is revised based on the experts’ input, it is tried and tested to the trial class students at a small group scope with the result of 4,6 for their responses to the product and improving score from the pretest which is 52,11 to be 67,55. Next, at the large scale trial at the experiment class to see the effectiveness of the game based learning multimedia shows that there is a difference on the student’s learning result.  On the pretest of control class, the score is 56.00 and the final score in the posttest of the same class is 64,43.if it is compared with the pretest score from the experiment class, the score is lower which is 55.90, but it improves rapidly on the posttest after being treated with multimedia game based learning and come to score 71.65 with the significant value 0.05. thus, it can be said that the result of the development of multimedia game-based learning is effective to improve students learning outcomes.

Abstract

The purpose to be achieved in this research is to know; 1) differences in the influence of the use of media ICT and conventional learning against learning achievement in grade V Diponegoro Cluster Elementary Schools, 2) the difference between the effect of learning independence in the high and low categories of the learning achievement of students in grade V Diponegoro Cluster Elementary Schools, 3) the interaction of the use of ICT media and learning independence on the learning achievement of the students of grade V Diponegoro Cluster Elementary School. This type of research uses the 2x2 Factorial Experimental Method. The research population was all elementary school students of grade V Diponegoro Cluster Elementary School, Bae sub-district, Kudus. The research is using Random Sampling Clusters, Selected SDN 2 Dersalam and SDN 1 Dersalam. Data collection techniques is using questionnaire and test. Hypothesis testing is using Two Path ANAVA Technique. The results of the study are: 1) there is significant differences in the influence of ICT learning media and conventional learning on science learning achievement (Fcount 4,808> Ftable 4,000), 2) there is significant differences in the effect of learning independence on science learning achievement (Fcount 4,770> Ftable 4,000), and 3 ) there is a significant influence of learning media interaction and learning independence on science learning achievement (Fcount 4.402> Ftable 4,000)

Abstract

Examples non examples cooperative learning type is a learning model with pictures to be analysized by the students and the students can procedure a brief description from the material with examples and non examples. The purpose of this research is to determine: the implementation of cooperative learning   examples non examples model using natural resources video to improve the creativity and students’  achievement on IPS in VIII C, SMP Negeri 1 Sragen.This research is the Classroom Action Research which concist of three cycle. These cyclus have three steps namely planning, implementation, observation and reflection. This subject of this research is class VIII C SMP Negeri 1 Sragen which concist of 34 students. The tehniques  of collecting  data uses test, observation, documentation and field notes. Data analysis uses descriptive qualitative analysis. The result shows that the questionares given to the students on cycle one can be found that the average score is 62.50 and minimal criteria is 47.06%, cycle two the average score is 64.85 and minimal criteria is 79.41%, cycle three the average score is 67.03 and minimal criteria is 94.12%. And the post test show that the average score on cycle one is 69.26(2.77) and the achievement of minimal criteria is 47.06%, the average score on cycle two is 78.38(3.14) and the achievement of minimal criteria 79.41%, the average score on cycle three 84.00(3.35) and the achievement of minimal criteria is 100%. The Implementation of cooperative learning   examples non examples model using natural resources video can improve the students’ creativity and  achievement because this model give the chances to the students to think critically on the theme and the students can find the concept directly from the analysis. The students involve in discovery learning process which support the students to build the concept progresivelly through to the experience from examples non examples. This learning model is suitable for the theme using natural resources. Show, based on the results above can be concluded that the implementation of cooperative learning examples non examples model using natural resources video can  improve the creativity and students’ achievement on IPS in VIII C SMP Negeri 1 Sragen.

Abstract

Research development aims to: ( 1 ) described on use media teaching history in high school land 1 muara sugihan; ( 2 ) described development media map history; ( 3 ) test the effective of media as a means of students independent study. Research conducted is research development research and development in a ADDIE was of molenda who mencangkup: ( 1 ) analysis of necessity; ( 2 ) make a medium; ( 3 ) the development of design got a product that will validated by the , and in ujicobakan one by one , small group , and broad , ( 4 ) the implementation of media at class experimentation; ( 5 ) test the effectiveness of . Conclusion ( 1 ) learning not use media of learning; ( 2 the media map history get the average score 40 by the matter and 31.5 for the judgment of media so dikatagorikan good , pilot one by one , small group , broad showed the media can used as a means of students independent study .( 3 ) the effectiveness of media as a means of independent study from the test t obtained the economic situation of significance 0,005<0,025 show H0 rejected which means that there is a difference in an increase in independent study students experimentation and control.

Abstract

Research development aims to: (1) described teaching history in senior high school district Pulau Rimau; (2) described the development of material based history of Peristiwa Front Langkan to improve people nationalism; (3) described the effectiveness of material based history the front ledge to improve people nationalism students.Research conducted is research development (Research and Development) using methods of Borg and Gall .The method includes: (1) the study introduction , namely the literature study, field studies, and findings teaching needs; (2) developmental stage covering the prototype design, validation expert, the trial one by one, and trial to more participants; (3) the step of experiment the effectiveness of covering test whether material and feasibility history.The research results show that: (1) teaching history still focused on one source the textbook without any additional or other sources a supporting, the curriculum is using KTSP curriculum, teachers have not have sufficient knowledge about the development of teaching materials; (2) The teaching materials developed with follow a procedure the development of which adapted to a syllabus, validation three experts who put a value the average score 4 for a category “good”;  trial one by one done on five students and fifteen students, the revision related the literature and grammar; the results of the tryouts broad shows differences in average between class control and class experiment where class experiment more better in terms of achievement and nasioanlisme; (3) the implementation of teaching materials history based Peristiwa Front Langkan to improve nasioanlism proven effective, proven from the acquisition value post-test on class control and experiment to aspects level of achievement with significant 0,000 < 0,025 and than nasionalism aspect with significant 0,000 < 0,025. Shows that Ho rejected which means there is a difference in positive and significant .

Abstract

The purpose of this study to analyze: 1) Application of a model of cooperative learning with index cards of math-based engineering of IT to improve students' critical thinking in class XI IPA at SMAN I Ngemplak Boyolali, 2) Application of a model of cooperative learning with index cards of math-based engineering of IT to improve understanding of the value of history in class XI IPA at SMAN I Ngemplak Boyolali. This research is a class action (classroom action research). This research was conducted with three cycles, each cycle consisting of four phases, namely: 1) planning action, 2) the implementation of the action, 3) observation, 4) reflection. Each cycle carried out at a basic competency. Data was collected in three ways, namely: 1) observation, 2) test, 3) questionnaire. Of the implementation of the action taken obtained objective tests of critical thinking in the first cycle 46.67%, 73.3% in the second cycle, the third cycle of 83.33%. And for the acquisition of critical thinking questionnaire in the first cycle, 65.05%, 70.72% in the second cycle, the third cycle of 81.03%. The results of test scores understanding of history in pre-cycle value of 26.6%, pre-test in the first cycle of 30%, post-test on the first cycle 43.33%, pre-test on the second cycle 67.74%, post-test on the second cycle 74.19 %, pre-test on the third cycle 74.19%, post-test cycle III 100%, and a minimum of 75. The results obtained completeness of the data showed an increase in the quality of teaching history in grade XI-2 which includes students' critical thinking and understanding of historical value. Based on these results it can be concluded that the use of cooperative learning models with index cards of math-based engineering IT can improve students' critical thinking and understanding of the value of history in class XI IPA at SMAN I Ngemplak Boyolali.

Abstract

The purposes of this research are to determine the increase of activeness and learning outcome of social science in grade VII G in SMP N 1 Jaten by applying Team Games Tournament learning methods and also crossword puzzle media on the theme of social cultural diversity. This research is a classroom action researches which is conducted in SMP N 1 Jaten while the object of this researches is students in grade VII G with number of 34 students consisting of 18 male and 16 female. Data collection is conducted by observation and that observation is applied for the teachers and students, the test is done on each cycle and document analysis. Researches process is carried out in three cycle including planning, implementation, observation and reflection steps. The results of this research show that: 1. the activeness of students have increased from pre-cycle to cycle 3. These results can be seen from results of observation sheets of students conducted by researchers and supported by subject teachers. Student activeness in cycle 1 is at 58.82% at the time of delivering material, then cycle 2 becomes 14.70% (5 students) and cycle 3 is (34 students/ 100%). The activeness of group activity cycle 1 is 26 (76.47%), cycle 2 is 27 (79.41%) and then cycle 3 is 100%. While, at time in doing question test cycle 1 is 2 ( 58.82%), cycle 2 is 5 (14.70%) and cycle 3 is 18 (52.94%) The conclusion of this research is that there is an increasing of activeness and student learning outcomes through the use of Teams Games Tournament methods and also crossword puzzle on the theme of social and cultural diversity in SMP N 1 Jaten academic years 2014/2015.

Abstract

This research aims to: 1 increase the learning achievements);  and 2) awareness of history in grade VII JUNIOR HIGH Country 2 Surakarta through the application of methods of Inkuiri-based visualization of Sangiran Museum. This type of research this is a class action Research (PTK). The research was carried out in 3 cycles of action. This research was carried out in junior high Country 2 Surakarta in the first year of lessons 2013/2014.  The research was carried out from June to October 2013. The subject of research is the grade VII C of the semester I year 2013/2014 lesson with a population of as many as 32 students. The technique of data collection is done using an engineering test, observation, and documents. Technique of data analysis is done using qualitative data analysis technique that consists of three stages, namely the reduction of data, exposure data, and a false assertion.Based on the results of the analysis, it was concluded: 1) the application of the method of inkuiri-based visualization of Sangiran Museum can enhance the learning achievements of students in the learning of SOCIAL SCIENCE history. This is shown by the increasing value of the results of the study and the level of ketuntasan of learning at each stage of action learning is done. The value of the results of the student learning experience increased on every cycle of actions taken, namely of 69.22 on the stage of pre cycle, increased to 69.88 at the end of Act I, the Cycle and increased to 74.38 on the end of a Cycle of action II, later increased to 83.25 at the end of Act III Cycle.  Finish level learning students experience increased, namely from of 43.75% on pre stage cycle, increased to 46.88% at the end of Act I, the Cycle and increased to 68.75% at the end of the action Cycle II, then rose to 90.63% at the end of the action Cycle III; and 2) application of the method of inkuiri-based visualization of Sangiran Museum can foster an attitude of historical consciousness in grade VII JUNIOR HIGH Country 2 Surakarta semester lesson I in 2013/2014. This is shown by the increased average score attitude awareness of history on the students in any stage of the action learning is done.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze: (1) influence of difference of use of model learning Problem Based Learning and Cooperative learning model of the Learning type of achievement against learning the history of the Jigsaw students; (2) the influence of the difference between students who have high and Self-reliance and independence of students with low learning achievements against the history of students; (3) use of model learning influence interactions with Independence of learning achievement against learning history students. This research uses a quantitative approach to the type of research experiments, with 2 x 2 factorial design. The population in this research is the whole grade XI Senior High School of Kendal. Sampling technique used is a dwarf in the Multi Stage Random Cluster Sampling. The instrument used is now learning and achievement test independence of learning. Test the hypothesis used is Anava two lanes. Before the hypothesis testing is done, test the normality of equality test, and the test of its homogeneity. The results of this research indicate that: (1) there may be differences influence the use of model learning Problem Based Learning and Cooperative Learning learning achievements against Jigsaw type history students, viewed from a F calculate > F table, or 11, 144 > 3, 14; (2) there may be differences between the influence of the students who have high Independence and self-reliance, and students who have low achievement students study history, seen from F calculate > F tables, or 14, 748 > 3, 14; (3) there are no interactions influence the use of models of learning with the learning independence towards the achievements of the students study history, seen from F to calculate F < table, or 0, 026 < 3, 14.

Abstract

The rapidly growing technology affects all aspects of life, one of which is education. Good learning media can facilitate teachers in presenting the material in the learning process. It also can increase the interest in learning that have an impact on learning achievement. The purpose of this study is to describe the use of instructional media history in SMP Negeri 2 Jiwan Madison County, develop learning media-based audio-visual history of using local events in Madiun, and assess the effectiveness of instructional media-based audio-visual history of using local historical events in Madison.This research is the development of research development procedures adapted from Borg & Gall. Location research in SMP N 2 Jiwan Madison County. Data collection techniques by means of interviews, observations, questionnaires, and tests. Data were analyzed using descriptive qualitative and quantitative.Results: 1) social studies teacher at SMP N 2 Jiwan, Madison County is still using conventional methods by means of lectures and question and answer and have not used the medium of learning; 2) Learning media developed using ADDIE instructional design of Molenda which consists of five stages: analisys, ie analyzing the needs of instructional media; design, namely collecting and designing instructional media; development, namely preparing instructional media using windows movie maker software, then testing the product internally; implementation, for example, applying the media in the learning process; and evaluation, which tested the effectiveness of the product. Instructional media developed rated as good by a material with an average score of 3.53; considered sufficient by media experts with an average score of 3.31; and assessed both by expert instructional design with an average score of 3.69; 3) The effectiveness of instructional media through t test. From the results obtained t_hitung t test = 4.6> 1.96 = t_tabel because t_hitung> t_tabel then H_0 rejected. Means that both groups have unequal learning achievement. The mean learning achievement using instructional media group developed = 85> mean learning achievement groups using power point = 66.67, and therefore concluded that the group using audio-visual media have a better learning performance than the use of media power point, so that the audio-visual instructional media developed is considered effective in the learning process.
