Abstract

An earthquake is a sudden vibration or movement from within the earth, spreading over the earth's surface. This disaster caused some damage to buildings from light to heavy damage and people who were injured, starved, or left homeless. To avoid and minimize the risk of earthquake disasters, it is necessary to carry out mitigation and simulations to deal with disasters. Earthquake mitigation is everything done to minimize the impact or disaster that an upcoming earthquake will cause. This activity aims to improve and provide essential knowledge and understanding of earthquakes and the steps that must be taken before, during, and after an earthquake. This activity was carried out in Pondok Makmur Village, Air Manjunto District, Mukomuko Regency, Bengkulu Province. The target of this activity is children and youth. The method used in this activity is counseling and simulation of earthquake disaster mitigation to children/teenagers. The counseling method was carried out by providing material about earthquakes, the causes of earthquakes, the consequences of earthquakes, and steps to deal with before, during, and after an earthquake disaster. Meanwhile, the training/simulation is carried out according to the instructions and the steps for dealing with an earthquake. The results obtained from this activity, activity participants gain improvement and knowledge in dealing with disasters, understand the importance of earthquake disaster preparedness, and become better able to deal with earthquake disasters that can occur at any time, and understand instructions and symbols in dealing with disasters. Furthermore, it can be concluded that earthquake mitigation and simulation are very useful for increasing knowledge and preparedness in dealing with disasters and reducing the risk of many victims and damage.

Abstract

Occupational Health and Safety (OHS) is a government policy to ensure the health and safety of workers. Based on law no. 1 of 1970 concerning Occupational Health and Safety, it is necessary to have knowledge and provisions regarding OHS to avoid the risk of work. In addition, the application of OHS is also essential to using tools, facilities, and infrastructure safely and efficiently. This activity aims to provide education and improve students' understanding of public vocational secondary schools 2 Bengkulu Utara by introducing potential hazards and hazard control as provisions and fundamental knowledge for students before carrying out internships to ensure occupational health and safety for students and minimize the occurrence of work accidents. This activity was carried out in public vocational secondary schools 2 Bengkulu Utara. This activity targets the students of public vocational secondary schools 2 Bengkulu Utara. This activity was carried out with the socialization method in the form of lectures or presentations, evaluations, and distribution of posters. The results obtained from the socialization and evaluation activities increase students' understanding and knowledge about the application of OHS in the workplace. The results obtained from the distribution of OHS posters increase students' understanding of the introduction of hazard identification and hazard control in the workplace. Based on this activity, it can be concluded that the students of public vocational secondary schools 2 Bengkulu Utara received education related to the introduction of potential hazards and hazard control and an increase in students' understanding of the application of OHS in the workplace. This activity is expected to increase students' awareness of the importance of implementing OHS.

Abstract

This activity aims to provide skills and abilities related to establishment permits, preparation of Financial Reports, and digital marketing of Garuri Micro Small And Medium Enterprises (SMEs). Garuri (Gaharu of the Republic of Indonesia is a business unit engaged in herbal tea business made from gaharu Garuri is included in the Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises group, where MSMEs have the following problems: 1) Having a makeshift business place; 2) Unable to access funding in financial institutions; 3) Low entrepreneurial ability; 4) Low business management ability; 5) The level of general education is relatively low; 6) Lack of access to markets; 7) Access to licensing is low 8) Access to technology and information is low. Solving the problems of SMEs above is carried out in stages. The legality of a business license is one of the essential things for business actors. In addition, it is necessary to improve financial management and digital marketing ability. For that, it is necessary: (1). assistance is provided in manufacturing Business Identification Numbers for SMEs instead of SIUP for PT, and (2) financial management and digital marketing training. The methods used by the Universitas of Andalas and Assistance Team for Garuri SMEs are (1) Socialization of online and offline mentoring activities and FGDs; (2) Presentation, (3) Assistance in Data Input, and (4) Monitoring and Evaluation. Assistance in obtaining business permits (NIB) for Garuri SMEs and training in financial management and digital marketing. The results of activities are (1). MSME Garuri already has a business license, (2) assistance to MSMEs has been carried out to improve administration and financial management by filling out a business financial recording application issued by Bank Indonesia under the name SIAPIK; 3. MSME Garuri has created an account to market its products on social media.

Abstract

The InaRisk Personal application is an application that displays the level of hazard/disaster hazard in an area equipped with mitigation suggestions before, during, and after a disaster to reduce disaster risk. This InaRisk application was developed by the Disaster Management Agency (BNPB), which can be obtained on Android and IOS; this is certainly beneficial for the community. The purpose of this activity is 1. to provide education on the use of the InaRisk Personal Application for the people of Purwodadi, North Bengkulu in facing the threat of disaster hazards around them and suggestions for mitigation, 2. to find out the pattern of transmission of the Covid-19 virus and the level of risk of being exposed to Covid-19 in order to support government programs to prevent the spread of Covid-19. This activity was carried out in Purwodadi Village, Argamakmur District, North Bengkulu Regency, with the target of this activity being the people of Purwodadi, Argamakmur. The method of activities carried out is socialization, implementation of the InaRisk Personal application, and evaluation of activities. From the activities that have been carried out, this activity can increase knowledge and understanding and the benefits of using the InaRisk application for the community. The application of this InaRisk application so that the public gains knowledge about the level of disaster hazard in their area to reduce the risk of the disaster. Through the InaRisk application, the people of Purwodadi, North Bengkulu, can also find out the level of risk of being exposed to Covid-19 based on their lifestyle and advice on preventing the transmission of Covid-19. Furthermore, the public is educated through the InaRisk application so that people are aware and do not ignore health protocols. On the other hand, the InaRisk application for the community is undoubtedly useful and supports the government's program, namely the prevention of Covid-19 transmission.

Abstract

Nagari Sungai Kunyit, South Solok, is dubbed a plantation area. Most of the plantation land is in the form of oil palm plantations. The area of oil palm plantations in this village often increases the number of palm fruit and CPO produced, causing an abundance of palm oil waste products such as empty palm oil marks. However, the potential of this palm oil waste has not been utilized to make it a commodity that has economic value. For this reason, it is necessary to process the waste into compost. This activity aims to 1. increase the knowledge and ability of farmer groups in Sungai Kunyit Nagari processing empty fruit bunches of oil palm as organic fertilizer and 2. increase the motivation of farmer groups in Sungai Kunyit Nagari to use organic fertilizers in their agricultural cultivation business. This activity has been carried out in Nagari Sungai Kunyit, Sangir Balai Janggo District, South Solok Regency. The target of the activity is a farmer group in Nagari Sungai Kunyit, South Solok. The methods used in this activity are socialization/counseling, training, and evaluation. The results of this activity can increase the knowledge, skills, and understanding of partners in making organic fertilizers made from oil palm empty fruit bunches and manure. It can even increase farmer groups' motivation in Nagari Sungai Kunyit, South Solok, to make organic fertilizer. From the results of the activities that have been carried out, it can be concluded that the manufacture of organic fertilizers can be carried out with partners, which are made from empty oil palm bunches and manure. It is hoped that this can be sustainable to increase crop productivity.

Abstract

The primary feed source for ruminants is forage, which must be available in sufficient quantities. However, sometimes in the long dry season in Ujung Gading, West Pasaman, this forage is challenging to find. One source of feed that has not been utilized is rice straw. Straw is part of the rice stem without roots. Giving rice straw directly to livestock has low digestibility and low nutritional value. The objectives of this activity are 1. to improve the knowledge and skills of farmers in processing rice straw as quality animal feed from agricultural waste and 2. to develop the ammonia technology of straw as feed for ruminants. This activity has been carried out in Nagari Ujung Gading, Lembah Melintang District, West Pasaman Regency. The targets of this activity are farmers and the community in Nagari Ujung Gading, West Pasaman. The method of implementing the activities are socialization, training, and evaluation. The result of the implementation of the exercise is that there is an improvement in farmers' understanding and skills in rice straw processing using straw ammoniation technology as animal feed. The processing of agricultural waste in the form of ammoniated rice straw aims to improve the knowledge and skills of farmers in processing rice straw as quality animal feed from agricultural waste. Using straw ammonia technology aims to improve feed quality and digestibility for ruminants. This ammonia technique is easy to do, inexpensive, and does not pollute the environment. From the activity results, it can be concluded that rice straw ammoniation technology using urea can increase the nutritional value of rice straw as animal feed. The ammoniated rice straw can increase the energy value of the feed and effectively remove the microorganism contamination found in the rice straw.

Abstract

Cow and oil palm integration system stands for cattle and oil palm integration system. in general, cow and oil palm integration system is a farming activity that combines cattle and oil palm. System integration the cow and oil palm integration system is positively correlated and mutually beneficial. Seeing the potential of Lubuk Bento village, Bengkulu has a large area of oil palm plantations; this certainly has the potential to be applied to the model cow and oil palm integration system. The objectives of this activity are: 1. to increase the knowledge and understanding of Lubuk Bento village farmers in the application of environmentally friendly agriculture/Good Agricultural Practices (GAP). 2. Empowering farmers/breeders in processing livestock waste into bio urine and organic fertilizer/compost. This activity was carried out in the village of Lubuk Bento, Pondok Suguh District, Mukomuko Regency, Bengkulu. The methods applied in this activity are socialization/ counseling activities and poster distribution cow and oil palm integration system. The activity begins with outreach to community leaders, farmers/breeders, and the local government. Furthermore, outreach activities were carried out for farmers/breeders and the community in Lubuk Bento village. The counseling materials provided are 1. introduction and counseling on bio urine processing, 2. processing livestock waste into organic fertilizer/compost. The results of the activities were that the participants were enthusiastic, received good responses, and even strongly supported this program. Furthermore, this activity can also increase the knowledge and understanding of farmers in processing liquid waste to produce bio urine, and solid waste is processed to produce organic fertilizer/compost. Seeing the high enthusiasm and understanding of farmers/breeders as well as support for this program, it is necessary to continue the application of this cow and oil palm integration system model. Besides that, it is necessary to assist farmers/breeders from the local Department of Agriculture and Livestock in applying the model integration system of cow and oil palm to increase the income of integrated farming system for cattle and oil palm.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan yaitu; 1. Untuk mengetahui akurasi kebuntingan dini sapi melalui uji metode punyakoti dan palpasi rektal, 2. Untuk menentukan dosis terbaik yang bisa terdeteksi dengan uji Punyakoti terhadap penggunaan biji tanaman. Materi penelitian yang digunakan adalah 30 ekor sapi lokal setelah IB, urine sapi, biji padi, biji jagung dan biji gandum. Sedangkan alat yang digunakan pada penelitian ini adalah semen sapi, straw, gun IB, glove, dan alkohol. Penelitian dilakukan dengan metode eksperimental dengan 3 tahap yaitu; 1). Uji Punyakoti, 2. Deteksi Kebuntingan Dini dengan Metode Punyakoti dan 3. Palpasi Rektal. Data yang diperoleh dianalisis dengan uji proporsi (uji-t). Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa hasil deteksi kebuntingan menggunakan metode uji punyakoti dan palpasi rektal menunjukkan hasil tidak berbeda nyata. Hal ini disebabkan karena pada metode uji punyakoti tingkat kebuntingan terdeteksi berturut-turut 80% untuk biji jagung, 76,67% dan 73,33% untuk biji gandum. Jagung memperlihatkan tingkat kebuntingan yang tertinggi pada uji punyakoti karena dari 30 sampel terdapat 24 sampel yang dinyatakan bunting. Sedangkan hasil palpasi rektal terhadap 30 sampel sapi lokal yang sama pada tahap 2 memperlihatkan bahwa semua sapi ternyata bunting dengan artian tingkat kebuntingan sapi pada penelitian ini mencapai 100%. Dari hasil penelitian maka dapat ditarik suatu kesimpulan bahwa deteksi kebuntingan dini pada sapi lokal dapat dilakukan dengan menggunakan metode punyakoti dengan tingkat kebuntingan mencapai 80%. Sementara itu dosis urine yang terbaik adalah 1:12 dan waktu deteksi kebuntingan terpendek adalah 60 hari setelah IB.

Abstract

Tujuan penelitian ini adalah: 1. mengetahui morfometri ovarium sapi lokal pada siklus estrus berbeda, dan 2. mengetahui jumlah folikel dalam menghasilkan oosit pada siklus estrus berbeda untuk fertilisasi in vitro. Materi penelitian yang digunakan adalah ovarium sapi yang telah dipotong sebanyak 40 buah diperoleh dari RPH (Rumah Pemotongan Hewan) Kota Padang, Sumbar. Sedangkan pelaksanaan penelitian adalah sebagai berikut: 1. pengambilan ovarium dari RPH, 2. identifikasi ovarium sapi pada status reproduksi berbeda, dan 3. identifikasi jumlah folikel dan koleksi oosit yang dihasilkan. Sedangkan status reproduksi sapi dibedakan atas ovarium yang memiliki CL (Corpus luteum) dan tanpa CL. Peubah/variabel penelitian ini yaitu: 1. ukuran ovarium sapi pada status reproduksi berbeda, 2. identifikasi jumlah folikel dan koleksi oosit yang dihasilkan pada berbagai ukuran dari status reproduksi sapi lokal berbeda. Perolehan hasil penelitian adalah ukuran ovarium sapi lokal yang memiliki CL dengan berat ovarium sebesar 9,10 ± 2,11 gram, panjang ovarium memiliki CL sebesar 3,12 ± 0,52 cm, lebar ovarium memiliki CL sebesar 2,25 ± 0,44 cm dan volume ovarium memiliki CL sebesar 9,55 ± 2,21 gram. Sedangkan berat ovarium tanpa CL sebesar 5,10 ± 2,00 gram, panjang ovarium tanpa CL sebesar 2,87 ± 0,65 cm, lebar ovarium tanpa CL sebesar 1,80 ± 0,52 cm dan volume tanpa CL sebesar 5,47 ± 2,07 cm. Sedangkan ovarium dengan status reproduksi yang berbeda menunjukkan bahwa jumlah folikel pada ovarium yang memiliki CL dengan ukuran 2-6 mm dan >6 mm cenderung lebih banyak dibandingkan ovarium tanpa CL yang masing-masingnya adalah 15,33 ±11,64 dan 2,22 ± 2,22. Sedangkan ovarium tanpa CL diperoleh hanya sebanyak 12,45 ±7,14 dan 2,00 ±1,77. Sedangkan jumlah folikel dari ovarium yang memiliki CL pada ukuran <2 mm lebih sedikit (4,72±3,93) dibandingkan dengan ovarium yang tidak memiliki CL (6,45 ±5,56). Kesimpulan dari penelitian bahwa status reproduksi sapi potong akan mempengaruhi ukuran ovarium dan jumlah folikel yang dihasilkan. ukuran ovarium sapi lokal yang memiliki CL lebih unggul dibandingkan dengan ovarium sapi tanpa CL baik dari dari ukuran berat, panjang, lebar dan volume. Ovarium sapi yang memiliki CL lebih berpotensi besar dibandingkan tanpa CL dalam menghasilkan oosit untuk fertilisasi in vitro.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui penerapan aspek teknis usaha sapi potong di Kinali, Pasaman Barat. Metode yang digunakan pada penelitian ini adalah metode survei/kuisioner. Jumlah sampel yang digunakan pada penelitian ini sebanyak 164 peternak. Adapun variabel yang diamati yaitu karakteristik peternak dan aspek teknik pemeliharaan sapi potong. Data yang diperoleh dianalisis secara deskriptif. Hasil penelitian yang telah dilakukan diperoleh yaitu: peternak di Kinali, Pasaman Barat memiliki usia produktif (96,95%). Sebagian besar tingkat pendidikan peternak berpendidikan SD (39,63%). Hal ini menandakan masih rendahnya pendidikan peternak di Kecamatan Kinali Kabupaten Pasaman Barat. Jumlah kepemilikan ternak 1-5 ekor (87,80%), kepemilikan ternak 6-10 ekor (11,58%), dan kepemilikan ternak >10 ekor (0,60%). Pengalaman peternak tertinggi berada pada rentang waktu 6-10 tahun yaitu 68 orang (41,46%). Dimana sebagian besar pekerjaan utama dari responden adalah petani 49,39%. Selanjutnya perolehan aspek teknis bibit sebesar 59,40%, aspek pakan 57,67%, perkandangan 68,39% dan pengetahuan penyakit & kesehatan 43,15%. Dari hasil penelitian dapat disimpulkan bahwa aspek teknis pemeliharaan sapi potong di Kecamatan Kinali Kabupaten Pasaman Barat dikategorikan kurang dengan perolehan skor hanya 55,20%.
