Abstract

AbstractThe problem of this research is "Whether the application of Know-Won to Know-Learned method can improve students' reading comprehension skills in VA West Pontianak primary school class. This study aims to describe the improvement of reading comprehension skills of students by using the method of Know-Want to Know-Learned through the story in the VA class of Elementary School Negeri 21 Pontianak Barat. The research method used is descriptive method, while the form of research used is a classroom action research with the nature of collaborative research. Subjects in the study were as many as 33 students in the VA class. Data collecting technique used in this research is direct observation technique and documentation. Data collection tool used in the form of observation sheet. The results showed that students' reading comprehension skill in cycle I was seen from 33 students with an average score of 46.48, with the completeness of 9,10% (3 people) while the unfinished 90,90% (30 people). While the second cycle has an increase of 33 students with an average value of 67.93, with the completeness of 66.67% (22 people) while the unfinished 33.33% (11 people). Then on the third cycle again increased visible from 33 students with an average value of 74.69 with a mastery of 81.81% (27 people) while the unfinished 18.19% (6 people). It can be concluded that using Know-Want to Know-Learned method can improve reading comprehension skill of students in class VA SD Negeri 21 Pontianak Barat. Keywords: Improvement, Reading Understanding, Know-Want to Know-Learned Method

Abstract

AbstractThis study aims to determine how much influence the learning of using textbooks with constructivist and multirepresentative approaches to student learning  outcomes in the material of ionic bonds and covalent bonds. The population of this study was all students of academic class. The sampling technique used is saturated sampling. Data collection techniques used are measurement techniques and direct communication techniques. The assessment instrument used was the learning achievement test. The sample used in this study was class XA as a control class and class XB as an experimental class. The design used in this study is the control group pretest-posttest design. Assumed the data come from the same variance. Based on the t-independent test, a sig value of 0,000 (<0.05) was obtained, meaning that there were differences in learning outcomes between the control class and the experimental class. Differences in learning outcomes between control class students and experimental class students who are given learning by using textbooks with constructivist and multirepresentative approaches. The effect of learning using books with a constructivist and multi-representation approach. gives an effect of 76% on learning outcomes in the material of ionic bonds and covalent bonds of class X students of SMA 2 AMBAWANG.Keywords: Constructivist and Multi-Representation Textbook Media

Abstract

AbstractThe background of this research is about the conflicts experienced by the characters in the story line by presenting conflicts that arise within themselves and something that exists outside of themselves. The problem in this study is how internal and external conflict with the characters and the implementation of this research in learning Indonesian. The purpose of this study is to describe the internal and external conflicts in figures and the implementation of this research in learning Indonesian using the novel I am Sarahza by Hanum Salsabiela Rais and Rangga Almahendra. The benefits in this study are divided into two, namely theoretical benefits and practical benefits.The theory used in this research is the structure of novel builders, conflict, psychology in literary works, and literary learning in schools. Abstract

AbstractThis study aims to describe the use of an “Active, Innovative, Creative, Effective, and Fun” (PAIKEM) learning strategy to improve improving students’ learning outcomes in class X SMAN 2 Sungai Raya. This is an observational study in the form of qualitative research, of which the analysis was presented descriptively. Research data were collected from Civic Education teacher and tenth-grade IPS 1 students using direct communication, observation, and documentary study techniques. The data collection instruments were interview guidelines, observation sheets, and documentation worksheets. The findings showed that active students included those who actively asked questions, asked for and expressed opinions. Innovative students were those who can deepen their understanding of the material studied not only depend on textbooks but also use technology. Creative students were those who have many ways to understand the material, then are facilitated by the teacher. Effective student was the goal fulfilled after students received the knowledge that was designed at the beginning of learning. Fun learning was seen from the conducive classroom environment and the friendly, enthusiastic, and cheerful teacher. Based on the finding, there was an increase in students’ learning outcomes after implementing PAIKEM learning strategy with the average scores increased from 6,7 to 8,1.  Keywords: PAIKEM, Learning Strategy, Learning Outcomes.
