Abstract

Posyandu is a community-based health service facility that plays a role in achieving national development goals, namely, to reduce infant and toddler mortality. The problem of stunting is a condition of chronic malnutrition caused by a lack of nutritional intake over a long period of time. This causes disturbances in the child's development period. This activity aims to help optimize the role of Posyandu to reduce stunting rates in Dringu Village, Dringu District, Probolinggo Regency. The activities were carried out from March to June 2023 at the Dringu Village Posyandu. This service activity involves all cadres and the community of mothers of toddlers. This activity is carried out by analyzing and collecting information related to mothers' understanding of children's nutrition and stunting. The results of the study set priority issues on increasing the role of the Dringu Village Posyandu in suppressing stunting in children. Posyandu has an important role in handling stunting through nutrition monitoring and services as well as counseling and education. The Dringu Village Posyandu needs to be optimized so that Dringu Village becomes stunting free.

Abstract

Malagufuk Village is one of the most famous bird watching areas throughout the world. This is due to the various types of endemic Papuan birds that inhabit the area. Since its founding in 2014, this village has been visited by thousands of visitors. The problem for Papuans is that birdwatching tourism is not yet familiar to the local community, their knowledge of English and types of birds is low, and they do not understand the management of facilities that can support birdwatching tourism activities. The weak ability to utilize this potential affects the partner's standard of living. The current birdwatching market is foreign tourists who are fluent in Indonesian. To increase people's income through birdwatching tourism, it is necessary to conduct outreach and tourism management training. The specific target is to provide socialization and basic English training to provide the best service to bird watchers. With this community service activity, the people of Malagufuk Tourism Village have increased their ability and capacity to develop and utilize the potential that exists in tourism activities.

Abstract

The development of increasingly sophisticated times and supported by the Revolution 5.0 era makes the use of gadgets increasingly important to support daily activities. Apart from providing convenience, gadgets also have a negative impact, especially on elementary school students. Elementary school students who are unable to control themselves when using gadgets become addicted to the features they contain, such as social media and games. This has an impact on low learning achievement and decreased study habits. To overcome this, the first step taken is to carry outreach, to provide direction to related parties in the school, in this case teachers and students. The outreach activity was held on June 13, 2023, at SD Negeri 48 Ternate City. This school was chosen because it is a partner school of the Khairun University Primary School Teacher Education Study Program (PGSD). The hope of this activity is that students can be wiser in using gadgets and cooperation from various parties is formed to be active in making this happen. This outreach activity is published in the form of scientific articles. The wider public can access this article to use as a reference and provide an understanding of the wise use of gadgets for elementary school students.

Abstract

The packaging label is a description that is represented in the form of words or pictures regarding product information as a means of communication between producers and consumers without having to open the packaging. The government through Law no. 18 of 2012 concerning food requires manufacturers to put a label on the packaging. One of the information that must be included on the label is the nutritional value information label (ING). However, there are still many UMKM players who have not put the ING label on the packaging label, one of them is the UMKM Abon Lele "Yu Kaji". This is due to the lack of awareness of business actors about the importance of ING for consumers to know the measure of food consumed according to body needs. Therefore, this service activity will focus on facilitating partners to produce information on ING of shredded catfish through outreach and mentoring. The result of this dedication is the design of information labels on the nutritional value of shredded catfish and business owners better understanding the importance and benefits of labeling nutritional value information on packaging. With the nutritional value information label, it is hoped that it can prove to consumers that this shredded catfish product has many benefits that are worth buying and makes it easier for producers to obtain a legal distribution permit such as BPOM.

Abstract

Feed is the main need, which accounts for 60-70% of the total aquaculture production costs. In general, fish farming groups (Pokdakan) depend on artificial feed. High feed prices are not balanced with the selling price of fish. This is because Pokdakan does not yet understand floating feed and the operational techniques of floating feed machines. This is a problem encountered, including in Pokdakan Papuyu Sakti. So that Pokdakan Papuyu Sakti members can increase production, feed quality and the sustainability of the use of floating feed, technical guidance is needed. The aim is to increase the ability to provide quality floating feed that is sufficient for cultivation activities. The scope of solutions offered is counseling, demonstration of machine use, and making floating feed. The partners' level of knowledge and skills were evaluated based on the Guttman Scale. The evaluation results show that the introduction of machines and the manufacture of floating feed have been successfully implemented, there has been an increase in knowledge understanding > 75% or an increase of seven times from the start of the activity. The skills of Pokdakan members in carrying out the practice of making floating food increased four times.
