Abstract

ABSTRAK This research was grounded by the students’ low understanding in mathematics concept and their less chance to share information and ideas with peers. This research was aimed at reveal whether the use of Two Stay Two Stray technique could improve the students’ understanding in mathematics concept better than that of the conventional one. This was an experimental research. The population of the research was the students in class VIII of SMPN 15 Padang. As class VIII.1 was an excellent class, it was excluded. The sample was taken by using random sampling technique. Choosen as class of sampel is VIII.3 as experiment class and of VIII.5 as control class. The data of the research was gotten from post-test. It was an essay test that consisted of 5 items whose reliability was 0,92. The result of hypothesis test showed that the value of thitung (2,8693) was bigger than ttabel (1,67) in which α=0,05. This result indicated that the use of Two Stay Two Stray technique could improve the students’ understanding in mathematics concept better than that of the conventional one in class VIII of SMPN 15 Padang.

Abstract

ABSTRACT The background of this research by the students lack of understanding of mathematic concept that students look at mathematics learning outcomes of students at class XI Engineering of SMKN 8 Padang and the students lack the opportunity to share knowledge with friends. This research to determine the students understanding of mathematical concepts are taught with active learning strategies type synergetic Teaching using Speed Test better than understanding of mathematical concepts students by conventional teaching student at class XI Engineering of SMKN 8 Padang academic year 2013/2014. This research is an experimental study, the design of randomized trials on the subject. The population in this study were all students of class XI Engineering SMK 8 Padang listed school year 2013/2014 which consists of four classes. To determine the experimental class and control class is done at random, so the class XI TKJ 1 elected as experiment class  and class XI TKJ 2 as control class. The instrument used in this study is a test student understanding of mathematical concepts. Form of the test used is a form of essay test with reliability 0.82.  Based on the results of the analysis of the data found that both classes of normally distributed and homogeneous samples. To test the hypothesis used the t test with MINITAB, obtained P-value = 0.007. Since the P-value is smaller than α = 0.05, then reject H0. It can be concluded that the students understanding of mathematical concepts with active learning strategies type synergetic Teaching Using Speed Test better than comprehension of mathematical concepts students with conventional learning.

Abstract

ABSTRACT This research is motivated by the lack of results of learning mathematics class XI IPS Padang SMAN 14 school year 2013/2014. This problem can be seen from the study of mathematics is still focused on teacher, students just listen and record the subject matter without understanding the material, students are less motivated to learn mathematics, comprehension of the concept of mathematical ability of students is still low, and equitable distribution of responsibility in the discussion is still less. This study aims to determine whether students comprehension of mathematical concepts by implementing cooperative learning techniques ‘Kancing Gemerincing’ with Student Worksheet (LKS) is better than the students comprehension of concepts with conventional learning in social studies class XI student of SMAN 14 Padang. This research is a research experiment. The population in this study were all students of class XI social SMAN 14 Padang and who is enrolled in the school year 2013/2014. The sampling technique is random sampling, XI IPS 3 selected as the experimental class and  XI IPS 4 as the control class. The instrument used  in this research is the final test study with reliability 0.92. Based on the analysis of data, average student learning outcomes experimental class is 74.88 with standard deviation 11.14 and the average value of the control class is 54.83 with a standard deviation  22.64. Because the two classes are normally distributed sample is not homogeneous but the data was analyzed by statistical test  where  = 3.9081 so that the research hypothesis is accepted. Thus, it can be concluded that the students comprehension of mathematical concepts by implementing cooperative learning techniques ‘Kancing Gemerincing’ with Student Worksheet (LKS) better comprehension of the concept of the conventional learning on students a class XI IPS student of SMA Negeri 14 Padang at the level of 95%.

Abstract

ABSTRACTThe background of this research is the lower ability comprehension of mathematical concept for students. The students on the study math are out of less focus during a learning and still there only separated of students that memorize the formula. The purpose of this research is to determine whether ability comprehension of mathematical concept for students by applying active learning strategy type listening team were better than implementasi of conventional learning students for grade IX SMPN 29 Solok Selatan. The type of research is experimental by using Randomized on the subject. The instrument of this research is the comprehension of mathematical concept test. The technique of data analysis is using t-test one side with help Minitab. Based on the data analysis results have sampel class distribution normal and homogeneous to level α. The result that obtained P-value =  0,01 α then this research is accepted hypothesis. Inferential that the ability comprehension of mathematical concept for student by applying active learning strategy type listening team is better than implementasi conventional learning.

Abstract

 ABSTRACT Background of this research is student’s grade VII SMPN 27 Padang comprehension of mathematical concepts still low. In that case endence when student’s are less active in the learning process. The purpose of this research is to know how student’s activity in the learning process and to know what is student’s comprehension of mathematical concept at grade VII SMPN 27 Padang by using the power of two strategy better than convensional model. The population is student’s at grade VII SMPN 27 Padang. To take sample in this research is randomly so that, the researchergotten grade VII.4 as experiment class and VII.3 as control class  the instrumentation is used in this research is  comprehension test of mathematical concept and sheet activity. Type of test is used type essay with realibilitas test is . Tecnique of analysis data is t-test one side by using software minitab therefore, the final analysis with a = 0,05 be obtained P-value = 0,041, because P-value minus for a, so hipothesis is accepted in this research. So that it can be concluded that student’s comprehension of mathematical concept is treated by using the power of two strategy better than student’s comprehension of mathematical concepts is treated by using convensional model at grade VII SMPN 27 Padang.

Abstract

ABSTRACT This research is caused students low understanding of mathematical concepts and difficult to express ideas . This study aims to determine whether students understanding of mathematical concepts by applying Active Learning Strategies Type Giving Questions And Getting Answers a better understanding of the mathematical concepts that students applying conventional learning on eighth grade students of SMP Negeri 4 SUTERA . This type of research is experimental research . The population in this study is the class of eighth grade students of SMP Negeri 4 SUTERA . Technique of random sampling , the class is a class VIII.4 chosen as the experimental class and the control class as a class VIII.2 . The instrument used is a comprehension test with indicator concepts . Form of the test used is an essay , test questions totaling 13 items with a reliability of 0.88 . The test results were analyzed with the understanding of the concept of student t test , obtained = 5.02 and  for = 1.64 because  <  the hypothesis is accepted at the 95% confidence level . So it is concluded that the students understanding of mathematical concepts by applying Active Learning Strategies Type Giving Questions And Getting Answers a better understanding of the mathematical concepts that students applying conventional learning on eighth grade students of SMP Negeri 4 SUTERA .

Abstract

 ABSTRACTStudents understanding of mathematical concept are still low in class VIII SMPN 2 Koto XI Tarusan become the background for this study. This research was designed for revealing whether the use of Synergetic Teaching active learning strategy could improve the students understanding of mathematical concept better than that of the conventional learning in class VIII SMPN 2 Koto XI Tarusan. This was an experimental research which used random toward the subject design. The instrument of the research was a post-test of conceptual understanding. The data of the research was analyzed by using Mann-Whitney test. Based on the result of data analysis, it was found that   which was smaller than α. Therefore, the hypothesis was accepted signifying that the students understanding of mathematical concept taught by using Synergetic Teaching active learning strategy was better than that of students taught by using conventional learning in class VIII SMPN 2 Koto XI Tarusan.

Abstract

ABSTRACT This research was designed for revealing whether the mathematic conceptual understanding of the students taught by using Snowball Thorowing active learning model was better than that of students taught by using conventional learning. This was an experimental research. The Population of this research was the students in class IX of  SMPN 17 Padang. In collecting the data, an essay post-test that consisted of six items on the conceptual understanding was administered to the sample classes. The data collected was analyzed by using normality test, homogenity test and t-test. Based on the result of data analysis, it was found that the average score of the students in the experrimental class was 83,04 and in the control class was 69,41. This result had indicated that the mathematics conceptual understanding of the students taught by using Snowball Thorowing active learning model was better than that of students taught by using conventional learning in class IX of  SM N 17 Padang.

Abstract

Efektivitas fungi mikoriza arbuskula (FMA) lokal dan ketergantungan jenis tanaman legum terhadap aplikasi FMA ditentukan oleh kecocokan jenis FMA dengan tanaman inang. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengkaji efektivitas FMA lokal terhadap pertumbuhan, biomassa dan serapan hara bibit kayu kuku (Pericopsis mooniana (Thw.) Thw.) umur 5 bulan di rumah kaca. FMA lokal yang diuji diisolasi dari empat rizosfer kayu kuku di Kabupaten Kolaka: FMA-HA (hutan alam Tanggetada), FMA-BJ (hutan tanaman Desa Bali Jaya), FMA-CA (Cagar Alam Lamedai), FMA-Vale (PT. Vale Indonesia Tbk.), dan dua rizosfer yang berasal dari Kota Kendari: FMA-UHO (taman kampus Universitas Halu Oleo), FMA-KG (hutan kota kantor Gubernur Sulawesi Tenggara). Perlakuan tanpa FMA (kontrol) dan FMA eksotik (Mycofer) serta isolat dari Kendari (kdr 03) juga digunakan sebagai pembanding. Rancangan percobaan adalah rancangan acak kelompok dengan 9 perlakuan dan 5 ulangan. Secara umum, aplikasi FMA mampu meningkatkan pertumbuhan dan perbaikan status hara tanaman. FMA- KG dan FMA-UHO mampu meningkatkan pertumbuhan tinggi, diameter, jumlah daun dan jumlah bintil akar bibit kayu kuku. Kedua FMA ini juga mampu meningkatkan berat kering total bibit kayu kuku  masing-masing  sebesar  260%  dan  281%  lebih  tinggi  dibandingkan  kontrol.  Terdapat peningkatan jumlah klorofil total pada bibit kayu kuku yang diberi perlakuan FMA-KG. PerlakuanFMA secara umum tidak memberikan pengaruh yang nyata terhadap kadar C organik dan N total. Walaupun kadar P total, K total, Ca total dan Mg total bibit kayu kuku lebih tinggi pada kontrol, akumulasi hara ditemukan lebih tinggi pada perlakuan FMA. Terdapat hubungan yang kuat dan signifikan antara akumulasi hara dengan biomassa bibit kayu kuku.
