Abstract

Adanya pengaruh modernisasi dalam iklim globalisasi saat ini yang memiliki dampak buruk dengan terkikisnya nilai budaya luhur bangsa Indonesia, sehingga akibatnya Indonesia saat ini mengalami krisis jati diri bangsa walaupun Indonesia merupakan bangsa yang kaya akan keanekaragaman budaya. namun dengan adanya pengaruh ini membuat keanekaragaman menjadi dilupakan sehingga anak muda zaman sekarang kurang tahu menahu dengan arti budaya saat ini, dengan demikian kita dapat menjembatani antara budaya dengan pendidikan khusus mata pelajaran matematika etnomatika maka perlu dirancang bahan ajar yang sesuai dengan karakteristik budaya dan pembelajaran matematika yang berbasis etnomatika Tugu Jogja di dalam etnomatika Tugu Jogja ini Terdapat beberapa ornamen bangunan yang memvisualisasi nyata dari geometri ( bangun ruang).

Abstract

Based on the results of observations, the learning process still uses conventional methods and the textbooks used in the lecture process have not been able to lead to finding a concept. The aim of the study was to design a guided discovery-based module in the transformation geometry course at STKIP PGRI West Sumatra. This type of research is development research using the Plomp model which consists of 3 phases, namely preliminary research, prototyping phase, and assessment phase (Plomp, 2013: 19). The preliminary research stage consists of interviews with students and teachers, syllabus analysis, and textbook analysis. The prototyping phase is designing systematics and module structures, developing prototypes, and expert reviews. The results obtained at the preliminary research stage were based on interviews with lecturers and students who did not understand the basic concepts of geometry and were less able to prove the proposition. In the analysis of the syllabus and literature that was carried out was that the material taught was in accordance with the syllabus. The results of the module validity from the experts show that the guided discovery-based module is quite valid in the category.

Abstract

Learning mathematics less favored by students is a severe problem. This study aimed to improve mathematics learning outcomes in terms of mathematical concepts understanding using the RME approach. The research design used is quasi-experimental, with a pretest-posttest control group design. The data analysis technique used is the t-test. The population in this study is the third-grade students of SD Muhammadiyah Nitikan (Munita) Yogyakarta, Indonesia, with a sample of 10 students whose learning process is carried out online. The data was collected through a test of mathematical concepts understanding. The data were analyzed descriptively to determine the improvement of the average of mathematical concepts understanding. Based on the results of data analysis, the average initial score was 38.70, and the final test was 75.30. This result increases students' ability to understand mathematical concepts using the RME approach.

Abstract

Education and culture cannot be separated in daily life. Ethnomathematics exists to bridge the gap between culture and education, especially in mathematics. Humans are unaware of activities that use basic mathematical concepts and ideas like counting, measuring (length, area, volume, and weight), number construction, games, and buying-selling activities. This study examines and analyzes the Minangkabau traditional games in the scope of geometry. This research is exploratory research with an ethnographic approach. The subjects of this study were 6 players of the Sipak Rago game. The data was collected through observation, documentation, and interview to find mathematical concepts in the Sipak Rago game. Based on the research, there are mathematical concepts in the Sipak Rago game like the concept of circle elements, circle circumference formula, circle area formula, and angle on a circle.

Abstract

This study aims to describe and analyze students' mathematical connection skills related to learning styles. The research was conducted at SMPN 1 Luhak Nan Duo class VII.a in West Pasaman Regency. The subjects of this study were three students from 30 students of class VII.a with auditory, visual, and kinesthetic sensation learning styles. Qualitative descriptive research method, instrument in the form of a questionnaire to see learning styles and tests of mathematical connection skills. the results of the study concluded that the visual learning style in solving math problems did not use the relationship between mathematical ideas so the indicators of mathematical connection had not been achieved, studeand nts with auditory learning styles did not meet the indicators of mathematical connections related to mathematical ideas using relevant indicators related to mathematics, learning Sensory motor has perfect mathematical connection skills, the ability to generate consistent mathematical ideas.

Abstract

In the world of education, it is currently commonly known as learning media that can be used as teaching aids for teachers to make it easier for students to understand the material being taught. Learning media can clarify the presentation of messages and information from teachers to students so that they can facilitate and improve learning processes and outcomes. Learning media can also overcome the limitations of the senses, space and time. One form of media is Kahoot. Kahoot is a game-based learning platform that uses educational technology in schools and other educational institutions. Kahoot is in the form of a multiple choice quiz game application or a survey of opinions and opinions of students or members of public institutions conducted online via a browser. learning through Kahoot is very easy to implement. Kahoot can be played through different browsers to browsers installed on student gadgets. The Kahoot application is very interesting, because the teacher can create quizzes by inserting pictures or videos in the problem so that it can attract students' attention. Kahoot is because the question is equipped with an image or video. Even using short expressions, accompanied by music that is appropriate for their age. Not only that, kahoot can be a form of online interactive media.

Abstract

Salah satu kendala dalam proses pembelajaran matematika adalah siswa masih belum memahami konsep matematika dengan baik, untuk mengatasi permasalahan tersebut diperlukan pendekatan dalam proses pembelajaran yang dapat membantu siswa dalam belajar, salah satunya adalah pendekatan RME. Untuk mengetahui apakah terdapat peningkatan hasil belajar matematika dengan menggunakan pendekatan RME ditinjau dari pemahaman konsep matematika merupakan tujuan penelitian ini. Pada jenis penelitian eksperimen ini , subjeknya adalah siswa kelas 3 di salah satu sekolah swasta di Yogyakarta, dengan sampel sebanyak 10 orang siswa. Terdapat peningkatan hasil belajar matematika siswa dengan mengunakan pendekatan RME ditinjau dari pemahaman konsep matematika.
