Abstract

The study aimed to determine the effect of giving Effective Microorganism probiotics through drinking water on the slaughter weight and carcasses physical composition of male bali duck. The research was conducted in Kediri, Tabanan, for 8 weeks starting from August 2 to October 2, 2018.. The design used was a Completely Randomized Design (CRD) consisting of three treatments, namely: A (Drinking water without Effective Microorganism probiotics as a control), B (Drinking water + 0.5% Effective Microorganism probiotics), C (Drinking water + 1% Effective Microorganism probiotics). Each treatment consisted of five replications and each replication used three male bali ducks aged 3 days with an average body weight ranging from 55,72 ± 7,16 g. The variables observed were slaughter weight, carcass weight, carcass percentage, bone percentage, meat percentage, and percentage of subcutaneous fat including skin. The results showed that administration of Effective Microorganism probiotics through drinking water at the level of 1% significantly increased male bali duck weight, but did not significantly increase carcass weight, meat percentage, percentage of subcutaneous fat including skin and not significantly decrease carcass percentage, and bone percentage. Based on the results of the study it can be concluded that the administration of Effective Microorganism probiotics through drinking water at the level of 1% it can increase the slaughter weight of male bali duck, but at the level of 0,5-1% does not affect the carcasses physical composition of male bali duck. Abstract

This study aims to determine the physical quality and digestibility of in vitro silage of rice straw supplemented with gamal and kaliandra leaves. The study used a Completely Randomized Design (CRD), consisting of four treatments and each treatment was repeated five times, so that there were 20 experimental units. The treatments given were: P0 (90% rice straw + 5% molasses + 5% polar), P1 (60% rice straw + 30% gamal leaf + 5% molasses + 5% polar), P2 (60% rice straw + 15 % gamal leaves + 15% calliandra leaves + 5% molasses + 5% polar) and P3 (60% rice straw + 30% calliandra leaves + 5% molasses + 5% polar). The observed variables were pH, NH3, VFA (Vollatile Faty cid), DMD (Dry Matter Digesribility), OMD (Organic Matter Digestibility), fungus, texture, color, and odor. The resul showed that the concentration of NH3 in the P1 treatment was higher than the P0, P2 and P3 treatments respectively 36.88%, 33.76% and 38.92%. Total pH and VFA values ??did not show significant differences between all treatments. DMD and OMD in P1 treatment were higher than P0, P1 and P2 treatments. It can be concluded that making rice straw silage with the addition of 30% gamal can improve silage quality both in terms of NH3 and organoleptic testing, namely color and texture. DMD and OMD are highest in P1 because gamal contains a degraded source of protein (protein needed by rumen microbes) that is more comparable to calliandra. Abstract

The aim of this research is to know the effect of fermented papaya leaves in ration on organoleptic characteristics of female ducks. The study was conducted in Kediri, Tabanan-Bali. The design used was Completely Randomized Design (RAL) consisting of 3 treatments. The treatments were P0 (commercial ration without fermented papaya leaves), P1 (commercial ration + 5% fermented papaya leaves) and P2 (commercial ration + 10% fermented papaya leaves) and as replicates were 15 panelists determining preferred levels (hendonic scale), then transformed to a numerical value for statistical analysis. Assessment of the numbers 1 (one) to 5 (five) indicating the value (score) in the following order: 1 (very dislike), 2 (dislikes), 3 (regular), 4 (like), 5 (very like) The observed variables are color, aroma, flavor, texture and overall acceptance. The results showed that the addition of fermented papaya leaves in ration increased the texture value or significantly different (P <0.05). The results of color, flavor, taste and overall acceptance have no significant or different effect (P> 0.05) with controls, but as the addition of papaya leaf degree is favored, the panelist favorability tends to increase. Based on the results of this study it can be concluded that the addition of fermented papaya leaves at the level of 5% - 10% in the ration can increase the value of tenderness or texture of female duck meat, but it does not affect the color, aroma, flavor and overall acceptance. Abstract

Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengkaji pengaruh pemberian kultur bakteri selulolitik isolat rumen kerbau melalui air minum sebagai sumber probiotik terhadap penurunan lemak abdomen dan kolesterol darah itik bali. Rancangan yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah Rancangan Acak Lengkap (RAL) dengan tiga perlakuan dan enam ulangan. Ketiga perlakuan tersebut adalah: air minum tanpa kultur bakteri selulolitik sebagai kontrol (A); air minum dengan 0,20% kultur bakteri selulolitik (B); dan air minum dengan 0,40% kultur bakteri selulolitik (C). Variabel yang diamati: lemak bantalan, lemak mesenterium, lemak empedal, lemak abdominal, dan kadar kolesterol darah. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa persentase lemak bantalan (ped-fat), lemak abdomen (abdominal-fat), dan kolesterol darah itik yang diberi air minum dengan tambahan kultur bakteri selulolitik dengan level 0,20% dan 0,40% memberi hasil nyata (P<0,05) lebih rendah dibandingkan kontrol (perlakuan A), sedangkan lemak empedal yang diberi air minum dengan tambahan kultur bakteri selulolitik pada level 0,40% memberi hasil nyata (P<0,05) lebih rendah dibandingkan kontrol (perlakuan A) dan persentase mesenterik fat pada perlakuan A, B dan C tidak berpengaruh nyata (P>0,05). Berdasarkan hasil penelitian dapat disimpulkan bahwa pemberian kultur bakteri selulolitik isolat rumen kerbau pada level 0,20% dan 0,40% melalui air minum sebagai sumber probiotik dapat menurunkan jumlah lemak abdomen dan kadar kolesterol darah itik bali.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh pemberian probiotik melalui air minum terhadap karakteristik karkas itik bali betina yang diberi ransum mengandung limbah kulit kecambah kacang hijau. Penelitian dilaksanakan di Farm Fakultas Peternakan, Universitas Udayana yang berlokasi di jalan Raya Sesetan Gang Markisa no 5 Sesetan, Kota Denpasar selama 8 minggu. Rancangan yang digunakan adalah Rancangan Acak Lengkap (RAL) yang terdiri dari 3 perlakuan dan 5 kali ulangan, sehingga terdapat 15 unit percobaan. Masing-masing unit percobaan menggunakan 3 ekor itik bali betina dengan kisaran berat badan 46,98 ± 7,18 g. Ketiga perlakuan tersebut adalah itik yang diberi air minum tanpa probiotik sebagai kontrol (A), itik yang diberi air minum + 2,5 ml probiotik (B), dan itik yang diberi air minum + 5 ml probiotik (C). Variabel yang diamati adalah berat potong, berat karkas, persentase karkas, dan komposisi fisik karkas meliputi persentase daging, persentase tulang, dan persentase lemak subkutan termasuk kulit. Hasil penelitian menunjukan bahwa pemberian probiotik melalui air minum menghasilkan berat potong, berat karkas, persentase karkas, persentase daging, persentase tulang, dan persentase lemak subkutan termasuk kulit secara statistik berbeda tidak nyata (P>0,05) dibandingkan perlakuan tanpa probiotik (P0). Berdasarkan hasil penelitian dapat disimpulkan bahwa pemberian probiotik sampai 5 ml/ekor/hari melalui air minum memberikan pengaruh yang sama dengan tanpa diberi probiotik terhadap karakteristik karkas itik bali betina yang diberi ransum mengandung limbah kulit kecambah kacang hijau. Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh suplementasi mineral-vitamin kompleks (pignox) dalam ransum terhadap performa produksi babi ras persilangan masa lepas sapih. Penelitian dilaksanakan selama 8 minggu di Banjar Lebah Jadi, Desa Jadi, Kediri, Tabanan. Rancangan yang digunakan adalah Rancangan Acak Kelompok (RAK) yang terdiri 3 perlakuan dan 4 ulangan. Perlakuan yang dicobakan ransum tanpa suplementasi mineral-vitamin kompleks/pignox (A),ransum dengan suplementasi 0,10 % mineral-vitamin kompleks/pignox (B), dan ransum dengan suplementasi 0,20 % mineral-vitamin kompleks/pignox (C). Variabel yang diamati adalah berat badan akhir, pertambahan berat badan, konsumsi ransum dan feed conversion ratio. Hasil yang diperoleh dianalisis dengan analisis sidik ragam dan apabila terdapat perbedaan nyata (P<0,5) maka dilanjutkan dengan uji jarak berganda Duncan ( Steel and Torrie, 1991). Hasil penelitian menunjukan bahwa suplementasi mineral-vitamin kompleks pada level 0,10% dan 0,20% nyata (P<0,5) dapat meningkatkan berat badan akhir, pertambahan berat badan, meningkatkan konsumsi ransum dan menurunkan feed conversion ratio pada babi ras persilangan masa lepas sapih. Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh penambahanprobiotik starbiodalam ransum komersialterhadap produksi ayam broiler.  Penelitian ini dilaksanakan selama 5 minggu mulai September hingga Oktober 2013 di peternakan ayam broiler milik Bapak Ir. I Wayan Sana.  Penelitian ini menggunakan ayam broiler berumur 8 hari.  Perlakuan yang diberikan adalah PS (penambahan probiotik starbio 0,25% dalam ransum komersial) dan PK (penambahan probiotik starbio 0% dalam ransum komersial).  Variabel yang diamati adalah produksi ayam broiler meliputi berat awal, berat akhir, pertambahan berat badan, berat potong, susut berat badan, persentase susut berat badan, berat karkas, dan persentase karkas. Variabel tersebut dianalisis dengan menggunakan Two Independent Sampel T-Test.  Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa probiotik starbio yang ditambahkan dalam ransum komersial tidak berpengaruh nyata (P>0,05) terhadap berat awal, berat akhir, pertambahan berat badan, berat potong, susut berat badan, dan persentase susut berat badan. Namun, probiotik starbio yang ditambahkan dalam ransum komersial berpengaruh nyata (P<0,05) untuk meningkatkan berat karkas dan persentase karkas.  Berdasarkan hasil penelitian ini, dapat disimpulkan bahwa penambahanprobiotik starbio 0,25%dalam ransum komersial dapat meningkatkan berat karkas dan persentase karkas ayam broiler.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh penggantian ransum komersial dengan tepung kulit kecambah kacang hijau terhadap penampilan itik bali jantan umur 0-8 minggu. Penelitian menggunakan Rancangan Acak Lengkap (RAL) dengan tiga perlakuan, tiap perlakuan menggunakan lima ulangan dan setiap ulangan menggunakan tiga ekor itik bali jantan. Perlakuan yang diberikan yaitu; P0 (ransum komersial 100%), P1 (penggantian 6% ransum komersial dengan tepung kulit kecambah kacang hijau) dan P2 (penggantian 12% ransum komersial dengan tepung kulit kecambah kacang hijau). Variabel yang diamati dalam penelitian ini adalah berat badan awal, konsumsi ransum, konsumsi air minum, berat badan akhir, pertambahan berat badan dan Feed Convertion Ratio. Hasil penelitian menunjukan bahwa penggantian 6% dan 12% ransum komersial dengan tepung kulit kecambah kacang hijau berpengaruh tidak nyata (P>0,05) terhadap konsumsi ransum, konsumsi air minum, berat badan akhir, pertambahan berat badan dan FCR. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian dapat disimpulkan penggantian 6% dan 12% ransum komersial dengan tepung kulit kecambah kacang memberikan pengaruh yang sama baiknya dengan itik yang diberikan ransum komersial. Abstract

This study aims to determine the performance of broiler chickens given drinking water containing young coconut water, palm sugar, and molasses. The research was carried out on privately owned farms in Batannyuh Village, Regency Tabanan which lasted for 5 weeks. One hundred broilers were used with body weight of 116 ± 3.17 grams. The research design used was a Completely Randomized Design (CRD) consisting of 4 treatments and 5 replications. Each replication consists of 5 chickens. The four treatments are A: drinking water without electrolytes as control, B: drinking water plus 1% young coconut water, C: drinking water plus 1% palm sugar, and D: drinking water plus 1% molasses. The variables observed in this study were initial body weight, final weight, feed consumption, drinking water consumption, weight gain, Feed Conversion Ratio (FCR), and Income Over Feed and Chick Cost (IOFCC). The results showed that treatment C had a final body weight, weight gain and efficiency of ration use significantly lower (P <0.05) than treatment B, but not significantly (P> 0.05) lower than treatments A and D. The results of the research also showed that treatment B had a final body weight, weight gain, and efficiency of using rendum tends to be higher (P> 0.05) than treatments A and D. Based on the results of the study it was concluded that broiler chickens whose drinking water was given additional water Young coconut gives a better tendency than other treatments, especially for broiler chickens whose drinking water is given palm sugar gives the best performance on final body weight, weight gain, and efficient use of rations, and so also regarding the economic aspects.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the effect of Agnihotra ash in commercial diet on the weight external offal of broiler chickens on the age of 5 weeks.It was conducted in the cage owned by Mr. I Ketut Sunatra located at Br. Anyar, Kediri, Tabanan,Bali. There were 80 day old chicks CP 707 (unsexed) used in the study.The animal were bought at PT. Tohpati Poultry Shop, Denpasar – Bali. The experimental design used was Completely Randomized Design (CRD) consisted of 4 treatments and 4 replicates. So, there were 16 of experimental units. The treatments were: A = commercial diet without Agnihotra ash (control), B = Commercial diet + 0.1% Agnihotra ash, C = Commercial diet + 0.2% Agnihotra ash and D = Commercial diet + 0.3% Agnihotra ash. The variables observed were weight of head, neck, foot, blood and feather. The results showed that Agnihotra ash on the level of 0.1%-0.3% in commercial diet not significanly increase (P>0,05) the weight of external offal broiler aged 5 weeks. Based on the results of this study it can be concluded that Agnihotra ash at the level of 0.1%-0.3% in diet did not affect on external offal (the weight of head, neck, leg, blood and feather) broiler on the age of 5 weeks.
