Abstract

The hospital is a place with a high degree of contamination, many pathogen germs that are in the environment are carried into the hospital and spread through activities in the hospital. About 10-20% of Nosocomial infections are caused by poor air quality. Initial observations obtained from RSIA Eria Bunda show that the Hospital Operating Room is still not in accordance with environmental health standards. Other observations obtained are inadequate lighting and humidity. Various physical environmental conditions that have not been optimal will be at risk of becoming a place of growth and development of bacteria. The growth of bacteria in the air that exceeds the standard will cause air quality to be not good, so it will cause health problems for both patients and hospital medical personnel. Based on this phenomenon, an environmental management strategy is needed in the Operation room to monitor air quality in the Operating Room. This research was carried out with a mixed research approach with survey methods, data collection was carried out by direct observation, measuring the temperature and humidity of the operating room and filling out questionnaires to find out the comfort of officers while working. After that, the determination of operating room management strategies on environmentally sound surgical installations using SWOT Analysis is carried out. The result of the study is that the measurement of Humidity and Lighting parameters is still below the operating room quality standards while the temperature parameters and air germ numbers are above the threshold of quality standards based on Permenkes No. 7 of 2019. For the results of the SWOT analysis RSIA Eria Bunda is in a strong internal position and responds to the opportunities that exist to avoid threats. The strategy used by S-O is to increase management capacity in carrying out supervision, improving the quality and maintenance of space, and improving education and information to employees.

Abstract

The global target that must be achieved regarding universal and equitable access to safe and affordable drinking water for all is the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) Goal 6, namely that universal access to safe drinking water fulfills the 4K. Namely quantity, quality, continuity, and affordability, and all households have access to adequate sanitation. According to the SDGs, safe drinking water is drinking water that is fit for consumption and free from fecal contamination and certain chemicals. Water quality at the point of consumption is strongly influenced by drinking water management factors at the household level, such as processing, storage and storage factors for raw water or drinking water sources. This research was conducted in October 2022, the sample in this study was the community as many as 98 respondent. In terms of quantity, the basic needs for water (food and drink) have been fulfilled, in terms of the quality of drinking water they have not been met, in terms of continuity they have been fulfilled, and in terms of affordability it is affordable in terms of distance, but not yet affordable in terms of price. The lack of quality and affordability can be met by adding free drinking water facilities and using rainwater.

Abstract

This research focus on assessing the spatial distribution area of solar energy potential in Pekanbaru using ECMWF ERA5 from 2012-2022 and analysing the environmental, social, and economic aspects based on solar energy utilisation. Using overlay and intersection techniques in ArcGIS, Pekanbaru's average solar energy potential is around 5,0-5,5 kWh/m2, and around 438.227-482.050 MWh/year of photovoltaic energy can be harvested from rooftop photovoltaic installation. Moreover, by utilising rooftop photovoltaic systems, the potential of CO2 emission can be reduced at around ±411.934-453.127 tonCO2/year, and it is predicted to reduce CO2 emission from households in 2022 by up to 52%. On the other hand, a questionnaire is used to describe the level of the community's understanding related to the beneficial effects of solar energy. Based on 100 respondents, it is found that around 58% of people don’t understand or are aware of rooftop photovoltaic, 20% of households think that the system is not necessary or urgently needed, and 22% of respondents argue that the high cost of installation is the primary consideration. The results reveal that the support from local governments is required for developing PV system as this system is one of the possible solutions to reduce greenhouse gases (GHGs).

Abstract

The Indian Ocean Dipole (IOD) phenomenon is a phenomenon that occurs in the Indian Ocean due to differences in sea surface temperature anomalies between the Western Indian Ocean and Eastern Indian Ocean regions. This interaction produces high pressure in the Eastern Indian Ocean (South of Java and West of Sumatra) which causes the flow of air masses to blow westward. The IOD phenomenon affects oceanographic parameters such as sea surface temperature, salinity, currents, and sea level rise in Indonesian waters. The Malacca Strait is a very important waterway because it connects the Indian Ocean and the South China Sea (Pacific Ocean) so it is strongly influenced by the IOD phenomenon. This research was conducted from November 2022 - February 2023. Global data collection in this study was located in the waters of the Strait of Melaka and data collection for validation was carried out in the waters of North Rupat. This study uses data analysis using secondary data and primary data to validate the secondary data used so that it can prove that the global data in this study are accurate. The results of this study found that in the period 2013 - 2022, the range of sea surface temperature of the Malacca Strait is 27 - 32°C. The salinity of the Malacca Strait waters ranges from 32.54 - 33.49 ppt. The current speed in the Malacca Strait is classified as weak to strong with the direction of movement of the Malacca Strait ocean currents back and forth. The Malacca Strait waters have a mixed tidal type of double daily inclination with an F value of 0.6 cm. The sea level rise in the Malacca Strait ranges from 0.50 - 0.76 cm. The IOD phenomenon affects sea surface temperature, salinity, sea level rise, and current velocity depending on the IOD phase

Abstract

This research was conducted on August 31, 2021 – December 7, 2021, at the UPTD KPSDKP, West Sumatra Province. The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of temperature differences on incubation time, hatching rate, and survival rate of turtle hatchlings (Lepidochelys olivacea). The method used in this study is an experiment that uses 3 trials plus 1 control, with 3 repetitions. Turtle eggs were incubated with the same depth and number of eggs with the addition of different temperatures from incandescent lamps with different powers. Then proceed with the calculation of incubation time, percentage of hatching, and survival of hatchling. Based on the results of the research, for the calculation of incubation time, the experimental unit with the shortest incubation period was produced by experimental unit B, with a temperature range of 27.5–29.5⁰C, which was 58 days. The incubation period that took the longest was the control experimental unit with an average temperature of 25⁰C, which was 65 days. For the results, the most optimal hatching rate was produced by experimental unit B, with an average hatching rate of 86%. Meanwhile, the lowest hatching rate was obtained from experimental unit C with an average hatching rate of only 53.3%. Then for the survival of the hatchlings after being quarantined for one week, all of them show the number 100%, which means that no hatchlings died during the quarantine
