Abstract

This research aims to develop a valid interactive learning media using the Lectora Inspire application related to the concept of motion and force in learning in junior high school. The research applies the type of research and development (R&D), using the ADDIE model until the development phase. The research instrument used was a validation sheet for the development of interactive learning media. The use of the validation sheet instrument has been validated by 3 experts to determine the validity of the media as a research data collection technique. Data analysis was carried out by converting the media validation sheet using a Likert scale to obtain quantitative data. Descriptive analysis used descriptive statistics as a data analysis technique. The results obtained in every aspect of design, pedagogy, content, and ease of use are at a high level and very high with a valid category. So that the interactive media for learning physics using the Lectora inspire application for motion and force material in junior high school has been valid and worthy to be used as a learning resource that can help students understand motion and force material.

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to develop learning media in the form of learning videos based on the Kinemaster Pro V4 application on temperature and heat material in class XI SMA. The development of learning videos was carried out as a solution to the difficulties of learning physics and the lack of use of learning media to help teachers in the physics learning process. The type of research used is research and development (R&D) using the ADDIE model which consists of five stages, namely the analysis, design, development, implementation, and evaluation stages. The data collection instrument was in the form of a validation sheet given to three validators. The data analysis technique is by calculating the validation assessment score using the average score validity index (r). The results showed that the Kinemaster Pro V4-based learning video on temperature and heat material in class XI SMA that was developed met the valid criteria from the validated aspects including video display (graphical) aspects, program aspects, learning aspects, and curriculum aspects with a validity index of 3 ,70.

Abstract

This study was aimed at finding if integrity affects the performance of High School Teachers in Pekanbaru. So the hypothesis of this study is that if the integrity has an influence on the performance of high school teachers in Pekanbaru. The method used in this study was a survey with correlational techniques. This technique was carried out to analyze the influence of two independent variables X with dependent variables Y. The population in this study were all high school teachers (178 teachers) and the samples were teachers who had received teacher certification at the SMAN Kecamatan 121 Tenayan Raya. Data were analysed using descriptive analysis techniques and inferential analysis to test hypotheses. The requirements for analyzing the data are: normality test, homogeneity test, and linearity test. The results showed that integrity had a significant effect with a positive direction on teacher performance in the Tenayan Raya High School in Pekanbaru. This is indicated by the regression coefficient of integrity against teacher performance of 0.083. The point is that if the integrity variable rises by one unit, an increase in teacher performance is 0.083. Furthermore, the effect of the variable integrity on teacher performance resulted in a value of 0.69%. This means that integrity contributes significantly to teacher performance by 0.69%. This contribution is in the very low category. Therefore, it can be concluded that integrity has a positive and significant effect on teachers’ performance in Tenayan Raya High School.

Abstract

Physics is a scientific field that studies a lot of abstract concepts which in the learning process demands a lot of ability to do mental depictions of something being studied. This study aims to describe the cognitive learning outcomes of students who apply PhET virtual laboratory and Real Laboratory on elasticity and Hooke's law. The subjects of this study were two classes totaling 70 students of class XI MIPA SMA Negeri 2 Pekanbaru. This research uses quasi-experimental research with a quantitative approach and tests (pre-test and post-test) as data collection methods. To analyze the data, several analyzes were used, namely descriptive analysis (Absorption Power, Learning Effectiveness and Normal Gain Test) and Inferential analysis (t-test). The results showed that the average value of the pre-test class that implemented the PhET virtual laboratory was 44.40 and the post-test score was 76.20, while the average value of the pre-test class that implemented the Real Laboratory was 43.80 and the score was 43.80, post-test was 84.20. The absorption category achieved by the two classes is in the same category, namely good and the effectiveness of the learning used is in the effective category. This shows that the learning outcomes of the two classes have increased with the average gain test being classified in the moderate criteria, namely 0.54 and 0.70. In summary, the use of PhET Virtual Laboratory and Real Laboratory has a significant effect on students' cognitive physics learning outcomes. PhET Virtual Laboratory and Real Laboratory are effective for teaching Elasticity and Hooke's Law as an alternative to physics experimental activities.

Abstract

The effect of dispersion will interfere with the signal transmission. Several ways can be done in compensating the dispersion such as by utilizing dispersion compensator fiber (DCF) or chirp fiber Bragg grating (CFBG). The dispersion compensation schemes with DCF are expensive and it also causes nonlinear optical effects, meanwhile, the CFBG can reduce costs and promise better results. In this study, an Apodization Chirped Fiber Bragg Grating (ACFBG) has been developed as a dispersion compensator with Optisystem with non-return to zero (NRZ) 20 Gbps. It is found that the Gaussian Cubic-CFBG apodization with a size of 90 mm had the highest Q-factor evaluation of  20,776 dB for a 250 km dispersion compensation scheme. this result is much larger than the previous CFBG dispersion compensation scheme. This study also confirmed that the Gaussian Apodization was the best profile compared to Tanh Apodization, from the evaluation of the Q-factor, Tanh cubic-CFBG only obtained a Q-factor of 9.6 dB. Certainly, the high performance of ACFBG as a dispersion compensator is very useful to support optical communication systems

Abstract

The purpose of this study is to identify, analyze, and deseribe the implementationof supervise education by principal in junior high school 2 Bangkinang City, from the planningstage of supervision implementation, until the follow up plan of the supervision implementation. In this study, data and data sources will be taken through interview and observation methods.Interviews were conducted on the principal as key or key imformants, supervisor team orsenior teacher, vice principal, head administration, and subject teacher as control informants.Observation done by observing the process of supervison implementation of junior high school2 Bangkinang City. The results of the reseach indicate a good cooperation between the principaland the supervisor team and subjet teachers, because of the large number of teacher in juniorhigh school 2 Bangkinang City. The principal appoints senior teachers of each subject to assistthe principal’s work as a supervisor as well as an assesor. The planning of the supervision ofeducation by the principal with the supervisory team and the assessor has been so good bymaking the decision letter of the supervisor team and the assessor. The organization of principalsupervision involes the teacher with the supervision team to creatie a supervision schedule byentering into an agreement fist. The principal conducts classroom observation directly to seethe teaching and learning activities of subjet teachers. After the implementation of the principal’ssupervision a follow up plan.
