Abstract

Background: Stunting is a chronic nutritional problem that occurs due to lack of nutrient intake over a long period of time, causing growth disturbances which are marked by an appropriate height for age. The incidence of stunting in toddlers is influenced by the low access to food both in terms of quantity and quality. In addition, it is also influenced by the feeding parenting from the mother, particularly in the feeding practice of the children.Objective: To determine the relationship between food diversity and feeding practice with the incidence of stunting in toddlers aged 24-59 months in Bayat Sub-district, Klaten Regency.Method: The study design used was a cross-sectional study. The study was conducted in Bayat Sub-district, Klaten Regency, with a total subject of 100 toddlers aged 24-59 months. The simple random sampling technique was used for sampling. Birth weight and birth length data as seen from KMS book. The food diversity was measured using IDDS (Individual Dietary Diversity Score) questionnaire and feeding practise was obtained through interviews measured using structured questionnaire. The data was then analyzed using bivariate (chi square) and multivariate (logistic regression) analysis.Results: This study showed that the 41% of toddlers aged 24-59 months are stunted. Chi square test showed that there were a relationship between birth length, feeding practice and food diversity with stunting (p ≤ 0.05). The result of multivariate analysis showed that there was a relationship between food diversity with stunting (p= 0,029, OR=3,213, 95% Cl: 1,123-9,189).Conclusion: There is a relationship between birth length, feeding practice, and food diversity with stunting. The most dominant risk factor for stunting was food diversity.

Abstract

Abstract: Rangraken Sawag is one manifestation of an agrarian culture in District Cipatujah, Tasikmalaya, West Java. This culture in unique because it contains a high aesthetic, in addition to its usefulness in helping farmers maintain the fields. The existence of this culture are now showing symptoms of decline. People are starting to forget this thing., especially the younger generation. Therefore, in a series of conservation activities organized by the food culture Community Service team Padjadjaran University and assisted by Sunda Pakidulan Dangiang community, local government officials and community leaders, the recontruction has been initiated especially for children. The Purpose of this implementation to reintroduce, instill a love, and fostering cultural creativity based society. Keyword: Reconstruction, Education, Children.

Abstract

Until now, financing is still a problem for most farmers in developing country including    Indonesia, especially for high value commodity such as pepper. Pepper cultivation requires high investment cost due to the necessity of pepper to grow in a greenhouse equipped with drip irrigation installation. Most farmers today utilizes greenhouses with appropriate         technology. Even though favourable, the crop cannot reach optimal productivity. Meanwhile, Indonesian Vegetable Research Institute (Balitsa), cooperating with Wageningen University, has conducted a research to study a greenhouse design, optimal for Indonesian climate. However, the resulted greenhouse requires so high investment cost that most farmers cannot afford. Direct loan from banks is difficult to get because it requires guarantee and financing system, inappropriate with characteristics of farming. Due to that reason, it is necessary to have financing system that can help but does not burden farmers in its payment mechanism. This paper aims to analyze the financing system in supply chain management, capable to solve problems about financing access for small-scale business actor in order to apply a technology capable to increase productivity. This paper is written from the result of action research in Pasirlangu Village, Cisarua Subdistrict, West Bandung Regency. The result shows that the availability of partnerships between farmer groups/cooperation and exporters opens an opportunity for farmers to get loan from bank through guarantee from the exporters, with financing system regulated by exporters to fit the characteristic of pepper farming. The system also involves university as the facilitator.

Abstract

This paper aims to present types as well as effectiveness in international research collaboration projects. Sixteen collaborative research projects at LIPI, an Indonesian government R&D institution, operated between 2001-2010 were evaluated. The effectiveness of the project was examined by comparing types and its benefits, and elements associated to the effectiveness of the projects. The research identified seven different types of collaboration and two major benefits which are publication and human resource or institutional capacity building. Meanwhile, a small number of the collaboration projects produced innovation, particularly where the triple helix structure - collaboration between academician, business and government - existed and promoted. Thus, three elements were found to beessential in supporting effective research collaboration: bargaining position; trust based competence; and trust based relationship.

Abstract

Utilization of integrated Decision Support System and GIS as one of the intelligent computerized system can be used to help make decisions quickly, accurately, and consistently. This research aims to apply Simple Additive Weighting (SAW) and built application system with ArcGIS platform to determination of urban Green Open Space (GOS) location in densely populated area. The study was conducted in Samarinda City, used secondary data and obtained from the Sanitation and Gardening Agency. Data were collected by survey and interview with experts and using Waterfall Framework for software development method. The research has resulted the priority sequence of GOS location of densely area of Samarinda City. The first priority location is the location under Juanda Flyover Bridge. Research has also developed Web based GIS software application of GOS location determination using SAW technique.

Abstract

The aim of this research was to design an institutional model for organic rice agribusiness. Data were collected through interviews and focus group discussion which includes the primary and secondary data. Data analysis methods for organic rice agribusiness institutional development were: system analysis, institutional analysis and interactive analysis. Result of the research indicated that organic rice agribusiness system in Sragen was supported by a strong superstructures. There were Go Organic 2010 program and many policies of Sragen government includes: cultivation, extension, marketing, and certification. Profile community of organic rice agribusiness includes organic rice farmers, farmer groups, associations of farmer groups (gapoktan), extension agents, organic rice farmer associations, organic rice agro-industry companies, government, and consumers. Designing models with the agribusiness system suggested a cluster of industry (industrial cluster) which composed of five subsystems, namely: upstream agribusiness, on farm agribusiness, down stream agribusiness, supporting agribusiness system, and marketing subsystem.

Abstract

This research was aimed to determine the consumer preferences and attributes that most consumers consider in purchases of instant White Coffee in Kebumen Subdistrict Kebumen Regency. The basic method of this research is descriptive analytic by survey technique to the respondents directly. This research was conducted to respondents who had bought instant White Coffee with 96 respondents. The sampling technique was done with convenience sampling technique use questionnaires. Data analysis used is chi square operated by SPSS and fishbein multi attribute analysis. Based on the research results obtained the following conclusions: (1) consumer’s preference toward purchasing of instant white coffee purchase in Kebumen  Subdistrict  Kebumen  Regency  based  on  the  existing  attribute  is  flavor variant = original; promotion = purchase bonus; packaging = attractive appearance; and guarantee = halal; as well as the preferred product is Luwak White Koffie; and (2) The attributes of instant white coffee most considered in the purchase decision of instant white coffee in Kebumen Subdistrict Kebumen Regency are brand attributes.

Abstract

ABSTRAK Latar Belakang : Anemia gizi merupakan masalah gizi utama di dunia termasuk Indonesia, yang disebabkan karena kekurangan zat besi. Adanya prevalensi anemia pada remaja putri 22,7% menurut Kementerian Kesehatan RI (2013), remaja putri sebagai calon ibu hamil dan mengalami menstruasi setiap bulan serta pendidikan anemia gizi selama ini belum dilakukan secara terstruktur di lingkungan SLTA juga tidak mempunyai kebiasaan mengkonsumsi tablet Fe, maka perlu dilakukan pendidikan anemia gizi terkait pengetahuan dan perilaku mengkonsumsi tablet Fe serta pemeriksaan kadar Hemoglobin. Tujuan  penelitian ini untuk menganalisis pengaruh pendidikan anemia gizi audio visual dan atau tanpa leaflet terhadap tingkat pengetahuan dan perilaku mengkonsumsi tablet Fe serta kadar hemoglobin pada remaja putri di Kota Madiun.Metode : eksperimen semu (quasi experiment) dengan pretest posttest group design. Variabel bebas yaitu Pendidikan Anemia Gizi Audio Visual serta Pendidikan Anemia Gizi Audio Visual dan leaflet. Variabel terikat yaitu Tingkat  Pengetahuan Tentang Anemia, Perilaku Mengkonsumsi Tablet Fe dan Asupan Gizi Remaja Putri. Uji statistik paired t-test untuk mengetahui perbedaan pengetahuan  dan perilaku serta kadar hemoglobin sebelum dan sesudah dilakukan intervensi pada kelompok media LCD dengan dan tanpa leaflet (pada kelompok perlakuan yang sama) dan uji independent t-test untuk mengetahui perbedaan pengaruh pendidikan dengan media LCD dan atau tanpa leaflet terhadap pengetahuan dan perilaku serta kadar hemoglobin (pada kedua kelompok perlakuan).Hasil Penelitian : 1). Terdapat pengaruh pendidikan anemia gizi audio visual tanpa leaflet terhadap tingkat pengetahuan (p = 0,000), perilaku minum tablet Fe (p = 0,012) dan asupan protein makanan (p = 0,001); 2). Terdapat pengaruh pendidikan anemia gizi audio visual dengan leaflet terhadap tingkat pengetahuan (p = 0,000), perilaku minum tablet Fe (p = 0,010) dan asupan protein (p = 0,008) serta asupan Fe (p = 0,006); 3). Terdapat perbedaan tingkat pengetahuan (p = 0,005) responden pada pendidikan anemia gizi audio visual tanpa leaflet dibandingkan dengan menggunakan leaflet.Kesimpulan : Terdapat pengaruh pendidikan anemia gizi audio visual tanpa atau dengan leaflet dalam meningkatkan pengetahuan anemia gizi pada remaja putri, perilaku minum tablet Fe dan asupan protein. Terdapat perbedaan tingkat pengetahuan responden pada pendidikan anemia gizi audio visual dibandingkan dengan pada pendidikan anemia gizi audio visual dengan leaflet. Kata kunci : pendidikan anemia gizi audio visual, tingkat pengetahuan, perilaku minum tablet Fe, asupan protein, asupan Fe dan kadar hemoglobin

Abstract

ABSTRAKLatar belakang : Masalah anemia adalah masalah gizi yang penting dan banyak ditemui di dunia, termasuk Indonesia (26,4%). Konsumsi protein hewani yang kurang memiliki kemungkinan untuk menderita anemia. Pendidikan gizi pada anak usia dini bertujuan untuk membentuk perilaku gizi menjadi lebih baik. Upaya untuk meningkatkan pengetahuan gizi dapat dilakukakan dengan media yang tepat, menarik, dan mudah dipahami bagi anak diantaranya permainan ular tangga. Penelitian ini bertujuan menganalisis pengaruh pendidikan gizi melalui permainan model ular tangga untuk meningkatkan konsumsi protein hewani dan kadar hemoglobin bagi anak taman kanak-kanak.Metode: Penelitian ini merupakan experimental menggunakan rancangan pre-post test with control group. Subjek penelitian adalah anak taman kanak-kanak diwilayah Kabupaten Kubu Raya. Penentuan sekolah TK dipilih menggunakan metode simple random sampling. Sebanyak 160 subjek penelitian dipilih dengan menggunakan metode porposive sampling. Teknik pengumpulan data dengan wawancara langsung, pengukuran antropometri dan pemeriksaan hemoglobin dengan alat Hb Mission. Data dianalisis dengan uji t-independen untuk melihat perbedaan konsumsi protein hewani dan kadar hemoglobin.  Hasil Penelitian : Rata-rata konsumsi protein hewani pada anak taman kanak-kanak sebelum pendidikan gizi kurang dari angka kecukupan gizi yang dianjurkan (58,75%). Sesudah pendidikan gizi angka kecukupan gizi kurang menjadi 42,5%. Kadar hemoglobin normal kedua kelompok penelitian sebelum pendidikan gizi  sebesar 88,13%. Ada peningkatan kadar hemoglobin normal sesudah pelaksanaan pendidikan gizi yaitu 95%. Ada perbedaan konsumsi protein hewani sesudah pendidikan gizi antara kelompok ceramah dan permainan ular tangga (p=0,000). Ada perbedaan peningkatan Hb sesudah pendidikan gizi antara kelompok ceramah dan permainan ular tangga (p=0,000). Terdapat pengaruh secara signifikan antara pendidikan gizi melalui permainan model ular tangga dengan konsumsi protein hewani (p=0,000) dan peningkatan hemoglobin (p=0,000).Simpulan Penelitian : Pendidikan gizi melalui permainan model ular tangga mampu meningkatkan konsumsi protein hewani dan hemoglobin pada anak taman kanak-kanak dibandingkan dengan pendidikan gizi melalui ceramah. Kata kunci : Permainan Ular tangga, Protein Hewani, Kadar Hemoglobin.

Abstract

AbstrakLatar Belakang: Menjadi tua merupakan suatu proses alami yang tidak dapat dihindari. Selain masalah penyakit degeneratif seperti osteoporosis, malnutrisi juga merupakan masalah kesehatan lansia saat ini yaitu masalah gizi kurang dan gizi lebih. Penilaian status gizi lansia dapat diukur dengan menggunakan indeks massa tubuh (IMT) yaitu perbandingan berat badan dan kuadrat tinggi badan. Tinggi badan (TB) merupakan indikator status gizi sehingga pengukuran tinggi badan seseorang secara akurat sangatlah penting untuk menentukan nilai IMT. Akan tetapi untuk memperoleh pengukuran TB yang tepat pada lansia cukup sulit karena masalah postur tubuh, kerusakan spinal, maupun masalah dalam pergerakan. Tujuan: Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis hubungan rentang lengan, tinggi lutut dan panjang ulna dengan tinggi badan. Metode: Penelitian ini menggunakan desain cross sectional dan bersifat observasional analitik. Responden penelitian ini adalah lansia >60 tahun sebanyak 119 lansia. Hasil: Berdasarkan hasil analisis dengan menggunakan korelasi pearson terdapat hubungan yang bermakna antara rentang lengan, tinggi lutut, panjang ulna dengan tinggi badan. Tingkat keeratan hubungan untuk rentang lengan sebesar 0,779, tinggi lutut sebesar 0,639,dan panjang ulna sebesar 0,488. Rentang lengan, tinggi lutut, dan panjang ulna dapat digunakan untuk memprediksi tinggi badan lansia. Kesimpulan: terdapat hubungan yang bermakna antara rentang lengan, tinggi lutut, panjang ulna dengan tinggi badan Kata kunci: rentang lengan, tinggi lutut, panjang ulna, lansia
