Abstract

Tujuan penelitian ini untuk mengetahui keefektifan pembelajaran Think Pair Share (TPS) Berbantuan Mouse Mischief terhadap hasil belajar siswa kelas X materi fungsi kuadrat. Populasi dalam penelitian ini adalah siswa kelas X SMA Negeri 1 Temanggung tahun pelajaran 2012/2013. Pemilihan sampel dengan cara random sampling, diperoleh siswa X-2 sebagai kelas eksperimen dan kelas X-4 sebagai kelas kontrol. Kelas eksperimen diajar dengan pembelajaran TPS Berbantuan Mouse Mischief, sedangkan kelas kontrol diajar dengan pembelajaran ekspositori. Pengambilan data diperoleh dengan metode dokumentasi untuk mendapatkan data nilai mid semester matematika dan metode tes untuk menentukan hasil belajar siswa yang kemudian dianalisis dengan uji ketuntasan dan uji perbedaan rata-rata. Hasil penelitian adalah (1) hasil belajar siswa kelas eksperimen mencapai ketuntasan belajar, baik ketuntasan individual maupun ketuntasan klasikal; dan (2) rata-rata hasil belajar kelas eksperimen lebih baik dari kelas kontrol.The purpose of this research was to determine the effectiveness of Think Pair Share (TPS) learning Assisted by Mouse Mischief towards students learning achievement grade X in quadratic functions material. The population in this research is student of grade X of SMA Negeri 1 Temanggung 2012/2013 academic year. The research samples were taken by using random sampling and found class X-2 as the experiment group and class X-4 as the control group. Experiment class was taught by TPS learning assisted by Mouse Mischief, while the control class was taught with the expository learning. Data is collected obtained by the documentation method to get math midterm score and test method for determining student learning achievement which is then analyzed by learning mastery test, individually and classically and the mean difference test. The results of this research are (1) the experiment class which implements TPS learning assisted by Mouse Mischief has reached mastery of learning, individually and classically, (2) the learning achievement of the experiment group that implements TPS learning assisted by Mouse Mischief is better than the control group that implements expository learning.

Abstract

AbstractEducating students at the Basic Education level is not only demanded that the students are clever, but there are also other demand which no less important that is to educate so that students have a good character value. Educating  the students to have a good character value is started from home, school, and community. In school, educating character to students is not only the duty of teachers of Religion or Civics class, but also the duty of all teachers, including the teachers in Mathematics. Math teacher does not need to hold special time for educating of character, but it can be integrated into any material taught, and also in different application of learning models. This paper examines how the efforts of mathematics teacher in educating of character to the students of Basic Education, especially in Junior High School through the application of Realistic Mathematics Education (RME) on the material of Social Arithmetic. Through presenting of the material of Social Arithmetic by RME learning model, students can be given a character education through the attitude of honesty, tolerance, discipline, cooperation, creative, independent, democratic, curiosity, love of peace, social care, responsibility, and so on. In conclusion, educational character values to students can be done by mathematics teacher through a variety of materials.  One of them  through presenting of the material of Social Arithmetic by RME learning model.

Abstract

In school mathematics, words definition, axiom, or theorem tend to be avoided. Expert of mathematics education (in Indonesia) seem to have fear, so that the words definition, axiom, or theorem are taboo to appear in a Mathematics Textbook for students.  Seem to worry if the words such as definition, axiom, or theorem that appear in math textbooks, then students in Indonesia is estimated to be scared and stay away from mathematics. Really? Are not definitions, axioms, or theorems are the strong pillars supporting the beautiful buildings of Mathematical structure, able to distinguish it from other sciences? Mathematics has the characteristics: (1) abstract objects, (2) based-on agreements, (3) fully using deductive thinking, and (4) consistent, which is preceded by the previous truths. Abstract

Tahun 2011, Kemdikbud telah menggalakkan kegiatan pelatihan bagi guru pelajaran matematika, yang dikenal dengan nama Program Bermutu (Better Education through Reformed Management and Universal Teacher Upgrading). Salah satu kegiatannya adalah meningkatkan kemampuan guru dalam membuat soal yang bermuatan literasi matematika. Program ini diteruskan oleh Kemdikbud dengan menelurkan kurikulum baru yang kita kenal dengan nama Kurikulum 2013. Dalam Permendikbud Nomor 081A Tahun 2013, dituliskan bahwa implementasi Kurikulum2013 ini, materi pelajaran diajarkan dengan pendekatan saintifik yang meliputi tahapan: mengamati, menanya, mengumpulkan informasi, mengasosiasi/menalar,  dan mengkomunikasikan. Jika pemerintah menganggap bahwa kompetensi guru tentang literasi matematika perlu diberikan dan ditingkatkan melalui program Bermutu, maka sudah selayaknya Perguruan Tinggi pencetak guru matematika harus menyiapkan mahasiswanya agar memiliki kompetensi dalam pembuatan soal-soal matematika yang bermuatan literasi matematika. Indonesia sebagai negara yang cukup disegani di dunia internasional, jelas Indonesia harus melibatkan para siswanya untuk mengikuti berbagai lomba matematika atau kegiatan sejenis di tingkat internasional diajang bergengsi seperti PISA dan TIMSS. Hasil lomba, diumumkan dan terbuka untuk diketahui oleh masyarakat dunia karena diakses melalui internet. Bahkan, guru-guru pelajaran matematika yang mengikuti PLPG, di akhir kegiatan juga harus menempuh uji kompetensi dengan soal-soal matematika yang bermuatan literasi matematika. Apa dan bagaimana cara mengajarkan soal-soal yang bermuatan literasi matematika melalui pendekatan ilmiah, akan dibahas dalam artikel ini. Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan, (1) menghasilkan perangkat perkuliahan Daspros Mat 2 yang memuat nilai-nilai karakter. (2) Menghasilkan contoh CD pembelajaran. (3) Untuk meningkatkan  kualitas perkuliahan melalui implementasi perangkat pembelajaran Daspros Mat 2 yang memuat nilai-nilai karakter, khususnya peningkatan karakter mahasiswa dalam praktik Peer Teaching. Penelitian ini adalah penelitian tindakan kelas dengan 2 siklus. Hasilnya penelitiannya, (1) tersusun perangkat perkuliahan Daspros Mat 2 yang memuat nilai-nilai karakter. (2) Dihasilkan contoh CD pembelajaran sebagai wujud implementasi penyusunan perangkat perkuliahan Daspros Mat 2 yang memuat nilai-nilai karakter, yang diterapkan dalam perkuliahan. (3) Kualitas perkuliahan melalui implementasi perangkat pembelajaran Daspros Mat 2 yang memuat nilai-nilai karakter, khususnya terkait karakter mahasiswa dalam praktik Peer Teaching telah terjadi peningkatan. Nilai rata-rata peer teaching adalah 84,7. Saran, Perangkat perkuliahan yang dihasilkan dan memuat nilai-nilai karakter sebaiknya disosialisasikan di tingkat program studi. (2) Contoh CD pembelajaran perlu dikembangkan lebih lanjut. (3) Perlu dicari tenaga pengambilan video yang handal agar CD video pembelajaran yang dihasilkan bisa bersih dan baik.The aim of this study, (1) generating lectures administration for Daspros Mat 2 which contains character values. (2) Generate sample of learning CD. (3) To improve the quality of lectures through the implementation of lectures administration of Daspros Mat 2 which contains the values of character, especially the increase in the character of students in the practice of Peer Teaching. This study is a classroom action research with 2 cycles. The result of research, (1) a set of lectures administration of Daspros Mat 2 which contains character values. (2) an example of learning CD as a form of implementation of the preparation of the lecture Daspros Mat 2 for character values, which are applied in the lecture. (3) The quality of the lectures through the implementation of learning tools Daspros Mat 2 which contains the values of character, particularly related to the character of students in the practice of Peer Teaching has been an increase. The average value of peer teaching is 84.7. Advice, lectures administration that is produced should be disseminated at the level of the study program. (2) the sample of CD learning needs to be developed further. (3) it should be produced a professional education cameraman, so that the video produced.

Abstract

Genderang otonomi daerah telah ditabuh. Dampak pengiringnya juga telah mulai dirasakan. Di bidang pendidikan, paling tidak, telah mulai dikenalkan Manajemen Peningkatan Mutu Berbasis Sekolah, program akselerasi, otonomi sekolah dalam penerimaan siswa SLTP karena dihapuskannya Ebtanas SD / MI, sulitnya guru pindah ke luar kota, dan juga munculnya pahlawan pendidikan di daerah yang tidak merasa perlu melibatkan atasan atau pihak akademisi di PT. Dasar pelaksanaan otonomi daerah bidang pendidikan adalah pasal 11 ayat (2) UU No. 22 / 1999 tentang Pemerintah daerah, yang berbunyi “Bidang pemerintahan yang wajib dilaksanakan oleh Daerah Kabupaten dan Daerah Kota meliputi pekerjaan umum, kesehatan, pendidikan dan kebudayaan, dll”, dan operasionalnya oleh PP No. 25 / 2000 Pasal 2 ayat (11) yang antara lain menyatakan bahwa kewenangan pusat adalah mengatur penetapan kurikulum nasional dan evaluasinya, serta penetapan standar materi pelajaran pokok. Dampak yang mungkin terjadi karena implementasi otonomi daerah bidang pendidikan, khususnya dalam pembelajaran matematika antara lain sebagai berikut. (1) Bisa muncul anggapan bahwa karena era otonomi maka pengajaran matematika mutlak di tangan guru termasuk pengaturan kurikulumnya, jelas ini perlu diluruskan. (2) Karena otonomi maka tak ada ebtanas, yang berarti guru matematika tidak perlu lagi dituntut kerja keras meraih NEM tinggi bagi anak didiknya. Akibatnya, salah satu tolok ukur kinerja guru menjadi hilang. Dalam hal ini, perlu dicari model tes yang sejenis dengan ebtanas. (3) Pemahaman yang benar tentang PP No. 25 / 2000 Pasal 2 ayat (11) yang menyatakan bahwa kewenangan pusat adalah mengatur penetapan kurikulum nasional dan evaluasinya, serta penetapan standar materi pelajaran pokok, dan guru memiliki otonomi dalam cara pembelajarannya. Jika pemahaman ini merata di kalangan guru, maka keberhasilan pengajaran matematika sekolah tak perlu dikawatirkan. Hal ini perlu disosialisasikan. Di lain pihak, kemajuan teknologi di dunia internasional semakin pesat. Agar dicapai mutu pendidikan dengan standar internasional, maka penanganan pendidikan di Indonesia perlu ditata secara nasional. Apalagi, matematika bersifat universal.
