Abstract

This study investigated the association between job burnout and flexible working arrangement on employee wellbeing with perceived organizational support as a mediator. The study is conducted on 127 employees of an Indonesian telecommunication company. The data is obtained between November 2021 and January 2022 using an anonymous online survey. We employ the partial least squares-structural equation modeling (PLS-SEM) method to analyze the data. The result finds that the level of employees' job burnout is in a low category. In addition, the employees have a positive view of the FWA implementation. As for POS, the employees perceive adequate POS. The findings also reveal that the employees have a sufficiently good well-being level. Furthermore, the statistical analysis shows that the POS variable is influenced by JB and FWA variables; and has a positive and significant effect on the EW variable. In addition, JB and FWA variables have a positive and significant effect on EW, either directly or mediated by the POS variable. Note that this research was conducted at the branch of the telecommunication company at a province level. Hence, the result might not represent the employees throughout Indonesia. Moreover, the variables of interest were limited to job burnout, FWA, POS, and employee wellbeing, making a relatively limited number of operational variables. Finally, the research findings contribute to the HRM to improve the organization through employee wellbeing management.

The research method used is a quantitative method, namely multiple linear regression. After testing the validity and reliability, the collected data is tested for each variable component of the willingness to share knowledge. The test results show that personal benefits, normative considerations, appreciation, organizational support, social interaction, level of empathy and level of courage affect the willingness of tax employees to share knowledge within the Riau Islands Directorate General of Regional Taxes.

This study tries to elaborate on the talent management approach as a program carried out by organizations with individual motivation coming from the employees themselves in the form of job satisfaction, affective commitment and intrinsic motivation, where these two approaches have not been explored much in previous studies. The literature used in this study is related to these variables. This research method refers to the variance based structural equational modeling approach, this research was conducted at the Directorate General of Treasury, the respondents were employees at the head Office, regional offices and service Offices, which was carried out on 14 to 27 March 2022. The data obtained through 278 respondents will be processed using Smart PLS, and to make decisions regarding whether the hypothesis is proven or not, it will be reviewed from the P-values. The results showed that talent management did not affect performance, as well as affective commitment did not affect performance. Thus, it can be concluded from 7 hypotheses, which are proven as many as 5 hypotheses while 2 hypotheses are not proven which describe the phenomena that exist in the Directorate General of Treasury.

Abstract

Judges as court apparatus, play a pivotal role in improving organizational performance and enhancing public trust. They are the sole actor who determines the quality of court decisions. However, the cases in the four courts, namely general, religious, state administrative and military courts seemed to outnumber the judges; hence retaining highly skilled judges to rule and write decisions within the time frame is paramount. Using a stakeholder theory approach, this article explores the competency-based development model for judges carried out by the technical training centre of the Indonesian Supreme Court. The research method was descriptive qualitative, purposive sampling for in-depth interviews. The result revealed that each stakeholder, namely technical training managers, supporting lecturers or trainers, working unit, and the public, showed different perspectives on judges' competencies, knowledge, skills, and attitude due to different interests. Stakeholders' views highlighted several points: analytical thinking skill improvement, knowledge application, character building, adaptive skills development and reassignment. This study, therefore, provides a new model of judges' competencies development that emphasizes a throughout human resources management activity application, starting from carrying out apparatus management strategy as a response to bureaucracy reform, strategic environmental changes, and science and information technology development; applying human resources development strategy with stakeholder participation approach through training and development centre; and creating apparatus reassignment strategy. These three strategies lead to an agile civil apparatus to achieve good governance.
