Abstract

Penelitian ini ditujukan untuk mengungkap pengaruh pembelajaran model penemuan terbimbing dengan strategi self-explanation terhadap peningkatan prestasi belajar fisika zat padat mahasiswa pada bahasan struktur kristal dan dinamika kisi kristal. Penelitian ini menggunakan disain kuasi eksperimen rancangan Pre- and Posttest Design. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa pembelajaran model penemuan terbimbing dengan strategi self-explanation mampu meningkatkan prestasi belajar mahasiswa, yang ditandai oleh gain score ternormalisasi rata-rata kelas eksperimen 0,467 (kategori medium) lebih tinggi daripada kelas kontrol 0,385 (kategori medium); dan mahasiswa kelas model penemuan terbimbing dengan strategi self-explanation memiliki pencapaian prestasi belajar lebih tinggi secara signifikan daripada kelas model STAD dengan strategi self-explanation. Penelitian menghasilkan effect size 0,47 kategori “biasa”. Tetapi, mahasiswa kelas eksperimen memberikan respon positif terhadap proses pembelajaran lebih rendah daripada kelas kontrol.This study is aimed to reveal the influence of the guided discovery model with self-explanation learning strategy toward improvement of students’ achievement on solid state physics of the crystal and dynamic of lattice structures. The study uses quasi-experimental with Pre- and Posttest Design. The result shows that the guided discovery model with self-explanation learning strategy can improve students’ achievement.  Experiment class attaines the normalized everage gain score of 0.467 (medium category), while control class attaines the normalized everage gain score of 0.385 (medium category). Experiment class students have higher achievement significantly than control class. This research has effect size 0.47 in typical category. However, experiment class students give lower positive response than control class for learning process.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan scientific literacy siswa sebelum dan setelah pembelajaran STEM berbasis masalah pada materi fluida statis. Metode penelitian ini adalah metode dekriptif pada salah satu kelas di SMAN 8 Muaro Jambi. Subjek penelitian ini terdiri atas 27 siswa yang meliputi 19 perempuan dan 8 laki-laki.  Scientific literacy siswa diukur menggunakan 5 butir soal essai. Soal tersebut telah valid dan memiliki reliabilitas yang tinggi. Hasil analisis n-gain menunjukkan bahwa terdapat peningkatan. N-gain rata-rata masing-masing soal menunjukkan n-gain soal nomor 1 sebesar 0,23 (rendah), soal nomor 2 sebesar 0,46 (sedang), soal nomor 3 sebesar 0,25 (rendah), soal nomor 4 sebesar 0,156 (rendah), dan soal nomor 5 sebesar 0,625 (tinggi). Berdasarkan jawaban post-test siswa diperoleh kriteria scientific literacy siswa . Kriteria tersebut berdasarkan kriteria PISA 2015. The purpose of this study was to describe the students scientific literacy before and after STEM based on problem learning on static fluid. The method of this study was the descriptive method in one of class in SMAN 8 Muaro Jambi. The subjects were 27 students who consisted of 19 females and 8 males. The students scientific literacy was measured by 5 essay questions. The instrument was valid and had the high reliability. The analyzed results of n-gain show that there is an improvement. The average of n-gain for each question shows that the n-gain of the numbers show 0,23 (low) in number 1,  0.46 (medium) in number 2, 0,25 (low) in number 3, 0,156 (low)  in number 4 and 0,625 (medium) in number 5. Based on the students post-test it gains the students scientific literacy criteria. Its based on PISA 2015.

Abstract

The research aims to reveal the influence of the Problem Based Learning (PBL) model on students' critical thinking ability in optical instrument material. This research is a quasi-experimental research with Pre-test and Post-test Design. The subjects of this study were class X MAN 3 Malang. The experimental and control classes received PBL models and conventional learning models respectively. The instrument of this study was the Optical Instrument Critical Thinking Ability Test in the form of 14 essay questions with Cronbach’s alpha reliability 0.78. The research data were analyzed using several tests including t-test, N-gain, and size effect tests. Based on the results of the analysis, it was shown that the implementation of the PBL model succeeded in increasing students' critical thinking ability higher than that of conventional learning. The experimental class was able to reach the high N-gain score category, while the control class was in the medium category. The research has a “large” size effect category. This means that the PBL model implemented has a stronger influence than that of conventional learning in improving students' critical thinking ability. Thus, the PBL model can be recommended as an alternative learning model in improving students' critical thinking ability in physics learning on the topic of optical instruments.Penelitian bertujuan untuk mengungkap pengaruh model Problem Based Learning (PBL) terhadap kemampuan berpikir kritis siswa pada materi alat optik. Peneitian ini adalah penelitian kuasi eksperimen dengan Pre-test and Post-test Design. Subjek penelitian ini adalah siswa kelas X MAN 3 Malang. Kelas eksperimen dan kontrol, masing-masing menerima model PBL dan model pembelajaran konvensional. Instrumen penelitian ini adalah Tes Kemampuan Berpikir Kritis Alat Optik yang berupa 14 butir soal essay dengan reliabilitas alpha Cronbach 0,78. Data penelitian dianalisis dengan menggunakan beberapa uji antara lain uji-t, N-gain, dan size effect. Hasil analisis tersebut menunjukkan bahwa implementasi model PBL berhasil meningkatkan kemampuan berpikir kritis siswa lebih tinggi daripada pembelajaran konvensional. Kelas eksperimen mampu mencapai kategori N-gain score tinggi, sedangkan kelas kontrol pada kategori medium. Penelitian ini mampu mencapai size effect kategori “besar”. Hal ini berarti model PBL yang diimplementasikan memiliki pengaruh kuat daripada implemnatasi pembelajaran konvensional dalam meningkatkan kemampuan berpikir kritis siswa. Dengan demikian, model PBL dapat direkomendasikan sebagai salah satu model pembelajaran alternatif dalam peningkatan kemampuan berpikir kritis siswa dalam pembelajaran fisika pada topik instrumen optik.

Abstract

Literacy skill is needed in the 21st century learning, whereas research about the implementation of Problem Based Learning-Science Technology Engineering and Mathematics (PBL-STEM) to develop students’ ability of scientific literacy is still limited. This research purposed to compare students’ scientific literacy competencies domain improvement through PBL-STEM in the topic of optical instrument. The quasi-experiment non-equivalent group design involved the students of Senior High School 9 Malang Indonesia in three classes called PBL-STEM, PBL, and control class. PBL-STEM class made three products, which were camera obscura, magnifier, and binoculars, which were presented with posters and reports. The PBL class, on the other hand, only made binoculars and presented their work briefly. Scientific Literacy Ability Test was used with 0.88 Cronbach’s alpha reliability. Data analysis with one-way ANOVA, post hoc Tukey test, N-gain, and Cohen’s effect size was conducted. The result showed that three classes had a significantly different ability in scientific literacy. Scientific literacy competencies domain of PBL-STEM was the highest, while PBL class is higher than the control class. The improvement of both PBL-STEM and PBL belonged in medium category, whereas the improvement in the control class was in low category. The effect of the operational implementation of PBL-STEM and PBL pair yielded large result, and both PBL-STEM and control and PBL and control pairs yielded very large category in the improvement of students’ scientific literacy.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menguji efektivitas penggunaan UKBM berbasis PjBL-STEM terhadap literasi sains materi alat optik dalam model PjBL-STEM dengan asesmen formatif pada siswa kelas XI MIA SMA Negeri 9 Malang. Jenis rancanngan penelitian yang digunakan yaitu quasi experiment dengan desain penelitian pretest-posttest control group design. Berdasarkan hasil analisis data dari uji hipotesis diperoleh thitung > ttabel = 6,890 > 1,67 dengan taraf signifikansi 0,05 maka H0 ditolak dan H1 diterima. Dengan demikian, dapat disimpulkan bahwa siswa kelas XI MIA SMA Negeri 9 Malang pada pokok bahasan alat optik yang diberi perlakuan menggunakan UKBM berbasis PjBL-STEM dalam model PjBL-STEM dengan asesmen formatif memiliki peningkatan literasi sains lebih tinggi dibandingkan dengan yang diberi perlakuan menggunakan model PjBL-STEM dengan asesmen formatif.

Abstract

Salah satu komponen kunci dalam pembelajaran fisika adalah siswa memiliki kemampuan dalam memecahkan masalah. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengidentifikasi kemampuan pemecahan masalah siswa pada materi fluida statis. Metode deskriptif dengan pendekatan kualitatif diterapkan pada 43 orang siswa kelas XII IPA. Instrumen yang digunakan berupa 3 butir soal uraian materi fluida statis. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan rata-rata kemampuan pemecahan masalah siswa sebesar 59,60 (kategori sedang). Persentase siswa yang termasuk dalam kategori novice sebesar 86,0% (tekanan hidrostatis), 88,4% (hukum Pascal), dan 55,8% (hukum Archimedes). Di masa mendatang diperlukan penerapan pembelajaran yang menyajikan permasalahan kontekstual, pengalaman langsung, atau solusi permasalahan berbentuk proyek engineering.

Abstract

Tujuan penelitian ini adalah mendiskripsikan penguasaan konsep siswa dalam pembelajaran argument driven inquiry berbasis fenomena disertai penilaian formatif. Desain penelitian embedded experimental model dengan metode mixed methode. penelitian X IPA-1 di SMAN 1 Pademawu. Instrumen penelitian berupa 13 soal pilihan ganda beralasan. Data kuantitatif penelitian dianalisis dengan menggunakan t-paired test, N-gain, dan effect size. Data kualitatif berupa alasan dan hasil wawancara siswa. Hasil penilitian menunjukkan bahwa nilai effect size 2.88 (kuat) dan N-gain 0.33 (rendah). Siswa masih kesulitan dalam Hukum Newton pada soal C3, C4, dan C5 dimana banyak siswa menjawab benar namun tidak dapat memberikan alasan dengan benar.

Abstract

Material elements, compounds and mixtures are abstract material so that students have difficulty understanding the material. This difficulty is also caused by less attractive learning media. To improve students' critical thinking skills, teaching materials with the help of the media are needed. Media suitable for elements, compounds and mixtures is augmented reality (AR) because it can visualize abstract material. Inquiry based learning is a learning model that is very appropriate for teaching materials using media such as augmented reality (AR). The application of learning using inquiry based learning shows positive results on students' critical thinking skills, especially in science learning. This study aims to produce teaching materials with an inquiry based learning model enriched with augmented reality on elemental material, compounds, and mixtures to develop students' critical thinking skills. Validation test of teaching materials by media expert validators and material experts. Then donevalidation on students. Research and development use the Lee & Owens development model. Research and development are limited to the first three stages, namely assessment / analysis, design and development. The data generated from the validation test and the legibility test state that the teaching materials developed are feasible to be produced.

Abstract

Teaching material is a learning media that can be employed for independent learning. However, the learning media based on the real problem, assembling STEM aspect, and using independent learning strategy have not much been developed. Based on the observation results in junior high school, students experience the distraction to comprehend the concept of light and optics. The understanding of the concept and language is the principle of creative thinking. Therefore, the purpose of the study is to develop and test the teaching material eligibility based on STEM-PjBL toward light and optics analysis so that it is moderate to improve the students’ creative thinking. This study is a research development using the 4-D model by Thiagarajan that includes several stages; define, design, develop, and disseminate. This study solely reached the development stage. The feasibility test was carried out through validation media, material validation, and practical test. The finding of the research indicated that the teaching material developed is valid and eligible to use.

Abstract

Brand image memiliki tiga variabel pendukung yaitu citra pembuat (corporate image), citra produk (product image) dancitra pemakai (user image), corporate image merupakan sekumpulan asosiasi yang dipersepsikan konsumen terhadap perusahaan yang membuat suatu produk atau jasa dimana indikatornya meliputi nama besar perusahaan, layanan perusahaan dan jaringan perusahaan. Product image yaitu sekumpulan asosiasi yang dipersepsikan konsumen terhadap suatu produk. Sedangkan user image merupakan sekumpulan asosiasi yang dipersepsikan konsumen kuat, praktis dan ekonomis, percaya diri dan nyaman. Penelitian ini bertujuan mengetahui pengaruh corporate image, product image dan user image terhadap keputusan pembelian. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan nilai thitung untuk variabel corporate image (X1) sebesar 2,968, nilai thitung untuk variabel product image (X2) sebesar 3,665, nilai thitung untuk variabel user image (X3) sebesar 3,523, ketiga angka tersebut jika dibandingkan dengan ttabel (1,990) maka thitung>ttabel. Berdasarkan hasil uji t tersebut berarti terdapat pengaruh positif corporate image, product image, dan user image terhadap keputusan pembelian. Uji F menunjukkan Fhitung sebesar 29,254 > Ftabel sebesar 2,72 pada df = 76 bahwa berarti terdapat pengaruh secara simultan yang signifikan corporate image, product image, dan user image terhadap keputusan pembelian. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian diharapkan PT Semen Indonesia (Persero) Tbk tetap menjaga pelayanan ketersediaan, dan meningkatkan jaringan penjualan yang luas, tetap menjaga image bahwa Semen Gresik merupakan semen yang rekatnya kuat, dan tetap menjaga agar konsumen merasa percaya diri dan nyaman menggunakan Semen Gresik.
