Abstract

AbstractThis study is a discussion of conflicts in the Pena Jingga novel by Wahyu Sujani. These conflicts are external conflicts and internal conflicts experienced by the characters in the Pena Jingga novel by Wahyu Sujani. This research was conducted by descriptive method. The form of this research is qualitative research. The approach used is the literary psychology approach to the stimulus model and response by Skinner. The technique of data collection is done by means of identification, and classification. The data collection tool used is the author as a key instrument, assisted by a data card. The technique of testing the validity of the data is the completeness of the supporting reference, peer examination, the conclusion of the results of the discussion, triangulation, and discussion with the supervisor. Data analysis technique is to critically read data, analyze and interpret external and internal conflict data, check data, and provide final conclusions of research. The results of this study are conflicts experienced by all external and internal figures. The results of this study can be implemented into Indonesian learning. Keywords: Characters, Conflict, Novels

Abstract

AbstractStorytelling skills have a very important role for students to carry out learning activities. Storytelling skills need to be mastered by students. The results of interviews and observations made with Indonesian Language and Literature teachers at SMP Negeri 2 Kembayan 2014/2015 Learning year, there were several problems in the learning process of storytelling. The problem was related to the process and learning outcomes of students who still have not reached the value of completeness. This problem arises because of several factors. One of them, namely the selection of learning methods that were less varied. Teachers tend to use lecture or conventional methods in the learning process so that the learning process seems monotonous and boring for students. The efforts carried out in this study were to apply puppet media. Keywords: Ability, Puppet media, Storytelling.

Abstract

AbstractThe women are people who can attract the men easier. Their attractiveness always be dicussed by the men. It is not about their beauty and intellectual but it focuses on the sexuality casses. In this research, the reseracher focused on the women sexuality which taken from a novel entittled Nyai Gowok by Budi Sardjono. The research problem including of sexuality abusive by men and women?s of ptriachal. The researcher used descriptive qualitative method in order to analyze the data. The data source is taken from a novel itself in 330 pages. The techniqueof colleecting the data used documentary study technique where the tools of the research are any or some person (human), the researcher itself tland also the result of the research showed that sexual assault had been done by the men such as rape, sexual, exploitation (like porn/ prostitution), sex slavery and the compulsion of abortion. Moreover, the womens opposition patriarchal domination is about the effort by giving the understanding, how to refuse, state the opinion and how to end the marriage strategically. The novel of Nyai Gowok can be used as the learning materials. Of indonesian language and literature in order to analyze the intrinsic and extrinsic substances of indonesian novel or novel translation.  Keywords: patriarchal, radical feminism criticism, sexuality.

Abstract

AbstractThis research was motivated by researchers’ concerns about oral literature that were almost extinct and forgotten by the community. The problem of this research was devoted to local wisdom which was reflected in the folklore of the Kapuas Hulu Malay community which was divided into four problems,  namely how local wisdom relates to belief systems, livelihood system, local norm, and the implementation of literary learning in schools. Based on these problems, the purpose of this study was to describe the belief system, livelihood system, and local norm reflected in the folklore of the Kapuas Hulu Malay community, as well as the implementation of learning in schools. There are eight foklore to be analyzed, namely Gumak dengan Adekia, Apang Aloi Beuma, Batu Lobor, Bunga Simpor, Apang Sekumang dan Apang Saji, Kenturon Antu Remaong, and Tok Paga dan Si Katamba.The result of this study was first: the belief system is divided into two, namely believing in superanatural things and believing in ghosts. Second: the livelihood system is divided into four namely farming (farmers), fishermen, hunting and gathring, and trading. third: local norm were divided into three, namely, local norm related to oneself, local norm that relate to humans and other human beings, and local norm that relate to humans and God. Abstract

AbstractThe purpose of this research was to describe the types of gender injustice in the form of violence, types of gender injustice in the form of marginalization, types of gender injustice in the form of subordination, types of gender injustice in the form of stereotypes and implementation plans of research results of gender injustice forms in Abidah El Khalieqy's novel, Kartini, on college's learning literature. This research was theoretically and practically useful. The theories used in this study were feminism, gender, gender injustice, women, literary criticism of feminism, novels, and literature study. This research uses descriptive method, in the form of qualitative, with a literary criticism of feminism approach. The data source was Kartini's novel by Abidah El Khalieqy with data in the form of excerpts that show the types of gender injusticeexperienced by female figures illustrated in the sentences in the novel of Kartini by Abidah El Khalieqy. Data collection techniques using indirect techniques, in the form of documentary techniques and data collection tools were researchers themselves as the main instrument. The technique of testing the validity of the data using perseverance observation, triangulation, and sufficiency of references.Keywords: Kartini, Novel, Study of Feminism

Abstract

Abstrack Abstract: aim of this study is to obtain data and description about personal and education value in Melayu AH fairy tale and SBPR folklore. This study using descriptive, qualitative, and objective approach method. Based on analysis of data, it can be concluded that in the collection Melayu AH and SBPR folklore, can be found. 1) Personal value in Melayu AH dan SBPR folklore are analysis on emotional gain, including expression of anger, fear, sadness, and happiness that shown by attitude and behavior. On intellectual gain, found learning about causes and effects of problems that commonly found in daily life. On imagination gain, found imaginative views which can stimulate creativity of children. On social gain, found many interaction between people and community, except in SBPR, not found social meaning. On ethical and religious, found learning about assessment of human behavior quality and belief in God. 2) Education value in Melayu AH dan SBPR folklore including analysis on exploration and inventory. Found many inventions such as origin of living things, except in SRMSRB, not found exploration and inventory. On language gain, found Malay uses, except in SBPR, the language that used is Dayak. On beauty value, found the meaning of beauty, included by sentence structure. On multicultural views, found thing which can add children views about the culture of a region, except in SRMSRB and SBPR, the thing was not found.  Keywords : value, children?s literature, folklore

Abstract

AbstractThis research was motivated by the facts in the field that show the results of learning to write news texts have not achieved the expected results. The research method used was descriptive method, the form of research was qualitative, and the type of research was classroom action research (CAR). The research data was processed qualitatively. The results showed that the model of Problem Based Learning (PBL) with the help of audiovisual media could improve the results of learning to write the text of the news. This was evident from the: (1) Planning cycles I and II stages was in compliance with the PBL media audiovisual model, but I cycle there were stages of PBL model has not been noted in RPP and improved cycle II (2) Implementation cycle I've been running well, but there were steps the RPP in learning not yet implemented and improved cycle II (3) the learning outcomes of students has also increased. Study Group on average cycle I and cycle II 67.71 increased to 85.85. Abstract

AbstractThe study of feminism of the main character in the novel Khutbah di Lembah Bawah by S. Jai and the plan for implementing learning in this school was raised because it discussed literary works with an awareness of gender differences related to culture, literature, and real adventures. This research used descriptive method, in a form fquallitative. The approach of that was used in this research is Kritik Sastra Feminism. The data of this research was novel Khutbah di Bawah Lembah by S.Jai and the data that were collected is the data of the feminism of the main character. The result of the position and role of the main character in the family and society are: 1) the position of the main character in the family (a) as a wife, (b) as a mother. 2) the position of the main character in the society (a) as a cigarette labourer in factory. The role of the main character in the family is as a house wife whereas the  role of her in the society is as a cigarette labourer in factory in which she was spent her time in the factory. The result of the unjustified gender in main character (1) Gender and Marginalisation, (2) Gender and stereotype, (3) Gender and work load, (4) gender and violance. The result of main character' sstruggle (1) Provides understanding, (2)Expressing an opinion. Based on the data analysis, this research resulted a conclusion which are (1) the position and role of the main character in the family and society, (2) the form of gender in justification of the main character, (3) the struggle of the main character. Keywords: Main Character’s Feminism

Abstract

AbstractThis research is motivated by the desire of researchers to find the style of figurative language in a collection of short on the Toilet Works by Eka Kurniawan. This study aims to obtain a description of the figurative style style in a collection of short stories on the Toilet Works by Eka Kurniawan. Benefits of research that can be obtained from this research that is, theoretical benefits and practical benefits. The technique used in this research is the technique of documentary study, and the data collection tool is the researcher himself as a key instrument assisted by the recorder card to classify the problem under study. Based on the results of data analysis on a collection of short storieson the Toilet Works by Eka Kurniawan, it can be concluded that there is a figurative style of language consisting of 14 equations of language style, 9 metaphoric style of language, 16 personific languages, and language style of irony 9 pieces, the style of cinema language amounted to 10 pieces, and sarcasm style of 12 units. Based on these conclusions the style of language contained in a collection of short storieson the Toilet Works by Eka Kurniawan all amounted to 70 pieces of the most dominant language style is used is the style of personification language which amounted to 16 pieces.  Keywords: analysis, style, short story
