Abstract

Ilmu filsafat memiliki beberapa aliran, salahsatunya adalah eksistensialime menekankan pada diri manusia. Manusia dipandang suatu mahluk yang berinteraksi dan menelaah terhadap cara manusia ada di dunia dengan kesadarannya. Metode dalam mendapatkan data kongkit dan valid, maka dibutuhkan dokumentasi, sebab dalam penelitian ini bersifat kualitatif deskriptif yang kemudian menelaah dan mendeskripsikan relasi dan tujuan serta nilai yang terkandung dalam objek penelitian. Hasil penelitian yaitu kebebasan manusia, antara kebebasan untuk dan Kebebasan diri, nilai-nilai eksistensialisme, absurditas kebebasan manusia, para eksistensialis percaya bahwa kebersamaan merupakan sebuah ciri yang sangat esensial dari keberadan manusia itu sendiri serta tidaklan semata-mata kebetulan saja melainkan suatu yang seharusnya ada.

Abstract

Public Relation (PR) memiliki peranan yang sangat fundamental dalam pengembangan reputasi pendidikan tinggi (PT). Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk menganalisis strategi PR (humas) dalam kegiatan promosi dan hubungannya dengan pengembangan reputasi perguruan tinggi di Akademi Farmasi Surabaya. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini menggunakan non-eksperimental dengan pendekatan kuantitatif melalui rancangan korelasional. Data yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah data primer yang analisis menggunakan Sofware SPSS 23. Parameter data yang di uji adalah kualitas, validitas dan reliabilitas data. Bila dari hasi uji memenuhi asumsi klasik akan dilanjutkan dengan pengujian regresi linier berganda. Hasil dari penelitian ini peran PR memiliki peranan strategis untuk kemajuan PT sebesar 0,449 dan 0,502. Manajemen dan strategi PR secara simultan berpengaruh terhadap promosi dengan minat mahasiswa baru di Akademi Farmasi Surabaya.

Abstract

The study aims to determine the innovative learning influence based on Project Based Learning (PBL) towards the English learning outcomes of Brawijaya University Malang students. The research method using quasi-experimental design with the Times-Series Design with Control Group. The data analysis by using one way ANOVA test. The results showed that the TOEFL test treatment, namely the pre-test and post-test in the control class and the experimental class in the PBL model had differences. The average pre-test TOEFL score in the experimental class was 344.71 with score range from 300-397 and standard deviation of 29.386. The average post-test TOEFL score in the experimental class was 360.83 with score range from 303-400 and standard deviation of 24.146. Learning Based on PBL can improve student learning outcomes, the p-score at PBL was 0.026.

Abstract

Development and application of educational technology in higher education with innovative learning models based on Cooperative Learning Type Student Teams-Achievement Divisions (STAD) and Project Based Learning (PBL). The purpose of this study is to analyze the educational technology model and innovative learning based on cooperative learning type STAD and PBL sustainable learning model innovation based on e-learning. This study focuses on the learning outcomes of TOEFL students in the Department of English Education in English courses at Brawijaya University Malang. Research methods using pre-test and post-test designs. Data analysis One Way ANOVA test and SEM analysis using Partial Least Square (PLS) software. The results of this study showed that the treatment of TOEFL tests (pre-test, mid-test, and post-test) in the control and experimental class with cooperative learning model type STAD and PBL were different. The average pre-test TOEFL score in the experimental class was 344.71 with a range of ??starting score 300-397 with standard deviation was 29.386. The average result of mid-test TOEFL score in experimental class was 345.46 with a range of ??ranging score from 300-380 with standard deviation was 20,587. The average post-test TOEFL score in experimental class was 360.83 with a range of ranging score from 303-400 with standard deviation was 24.146 (STAD and PBL p-value were 0.019 and 0.026, respectively). The results of development and application of innovative educational technology based on STAD and PBL e-learning could have significant influence on the result of student TOEFL score.

Abstract

Writing is an activity that requires high concentration so this activity requires a comfortable and relaxed atmosphere. The purpose of this study is to describe the collaborative writing process applied to students and analyze it so that it becomes an ideal model to be applied to students. The method used in this study is a qualitative method based on data sources from observations conducted during one semester. The total sample used was 60 students, with a duration of 90 minutes. Data collection techniques are interviews, questionnaires (30 students). The results of this study are that there are three stages of the collaborative writing process carried out in the classroom; 1). Pre-writing stage (reading written texts, small group discussions, and class discussions), 2). Drafting, Revision, and Editing stages, (first draft, proofreading, and editing), and 3). Collaborative writing could be effective for correcting students' mistakes, for developing students' writing skills, for combining their strengths, and for strengthening between peers and lecturer. The collaborative technique is an effective method for developing writing, reading, correcting, and suggesting skills.

Abstract

The purpose of this research or the study was to improve students' reading comprehension skills. Classroom Action Research (CAR) has been used to adopt this research. The research includes five stages, namely preliminary research, preparation, implementation of plans, observation of results, and reflection of results. The research was conducted in three cycles, each cycle being tested for reading comprehension which aims to evaluate student learning outcomes. The subjects of this study were class VIIIC students of SMP Negeri 11 Malang 44 first semester students (2019/2020). The types of data in this study consisted of field notes, observation sheets, tests, and interviews. This type of data is used as the basis for evaluating student achievement in reading comprehension in each cycle. The result of the study showed the implementation of the Collaborative Strategic Reading (CSR) improved the students’ reading comprehension. As indicated by the increase in the average score of students and the percentage of students who achieve mastery learning to read comprehension descriptive texts in the post test given in three cycles (72 and 77% in the first cycle, 74 and 82% in the second cycle, and 78 and 86% in cycle III). The implementation of CSR in reading comprehension was effective in improving students' reading comprehension skill.

Abstract

Tujuan Pengabdian kepada Masyarakan (PKM) ini untuk membekali mahasiswa yang yang tinggal di Basecamp kampus mahasiswa program studi diploma tiga (DIII) Akademi Kebidanan Graha Husada Sampang berbasisis google classrooum, sejauhmana efektivitas aplikasi google classroom terhadap minat dan respon pemahaman materi bahasa Inggris mahasiswa serta efektivitas penggunaan aplikasi google classroom dalam pembelajaran daring. Metode yang digunakan dalam PKM ini dilaksanakan dengan metode penelitian deskriptif menggunakan teknik survey. Koleksi data selama pelaksanaan PKM ini menggunakan perangkat berupa angket dan wawancara secara online yang diberikan kepada mahasiswa program studi DIII Kebidanan sebanyak 90 orang mahasiswa yang terdiri dari 3 angkatan pada semester ganjil. Hasil PKM menunjukkan bahwa sebanyak 53,33% mahasiswa menyatakan setuju dalam pemahaman materi pembelajaran dengan menggunakan google classroom 45,56% mahasiswa menyatakan setuju dalam keefektifan penggunaan aplikasi google classroom, dan 54,44% mahasiswa menyatakan setuju dalam penggunaan aplikasi google classroom dalam pembelajaran bahasa inggris di asrama. Dari pelaksanaan kegiatan ini dapat disimpulkan bahwa penggunaan aplikasi dalam pembelajaran daring pada masa pandemi covid-19 sudah cukup baik dan efektif.

Abstract

The purpose of this developmental research is to create ESP learning textbooks for Diploma three (D3) Pharmacy students at the Surabaya Pharmacy Academy, to determine the textbooks' feasibility, and to ascertain students' responses to the ESP textbooks. The ADDIE Research and Development (R&D) model is used in this study. This ESP textbook was created in response to the study's findings. The feasibility study of the ESP textbook reveals the following points: 1) The Diploma three (D3) Pharmacy program's material experts and lecturers assign a percentage of 53.33 percent below the range of 85.94 percent, indicating that the development of digital-based textbooks receives a "A" grade and falls into the "Very Good" category. 2) Media and digital experts with online learning as well as Pharmacy diploma three (D3) study programs provide a percentage of 53.33 percent less than the 85.94 percent range, indicating that developed digital-based textbooks receive a "A" and are classified as "Very Good." 3) Student comprehension, as measured by questionnaires, also received a favorable response of 53.33 percent in the range of 85.94 percent, indicating that the development of digital-based textbooks received a "A" or "Very Good" grade. The interviews revealed that students responded positively to digital-based ESP textbooks. In summary, the ESP textbook for Pharmacy students in the Diploma three (D3) department is acceptable which can be used as an online learning medium for English Teaching.

Abstract

The industrial revolution's technological development, dubbed era 4.0, had a significant impact on the world of education, particularly higher education. The purpose of this study was to determine the efficacy of implementing education through teaching methods in the Covid 19 season. Online Education is one of the techniques used in blended learning. All academics at the tertiary institution participate in Teaching through blended learning. This research is a two-cycle trial, referred to as cycle I and cycle II. The results of the data are compared to the cycle of learning implementation. The results of the study describe blended learning, Google classroom as an alternative process of teaching English, and Google classroom as a process of teaching blended learning. Cycle I results are on average lower than Cycle II results in terms of learning (69 to 100 percent), active student (27 to 100 percent), accomplishments (89 to 96 percent), learning process (70 to 100 percent ), complete score (25 to 86 percent ), not complete ye (75 to 12 percent ), and success (45 percent to 75 percent ) Use of Google Classroom helps improve the average achievement of students enrolled in English education departments. The research concludes that this application is capable of operating effectively, assisting lecturers and students enrolled in English language education study programs in carrying out the learning process more intensely.

Abstract

The development of teaching and learning activities must be evaluated to find out the success or failure of learning. This evaluation must be done because teaching now will certainly affect the next learning process, especially the reading comprehension model. This study aims to produce a reading comprehension model that is able to improve the reading comprehension skills of second semester students in the English for Professions subject to 2 Semester Credit Systems (SKS) in the department of animal husbandry at the University of Nahdlatul Ulama Blitar. The study approach used was Research and Development by modifying the ten steps of implementing the research strategy into three steps. The research subjects were lecturers and students majoring in animal husbandry at the University of Nahdlatul Ulama Blitar. Data collection techniques used was observation, questionnaires, interviews and tests. Research data analyzed using qualitative and quantitative analysis techniques. Data results show that the use of reciprocal teaching reading strategies combined with peer-teaching methods can significantly improve students' reading comprehension skills. The care giving effect arising from the application of reciprocal teaching to reading comprehension increases social values in second semester students in the English for Professional course.
