Abstract

AbstrakTujuan penelitian ini adalah mendeskripsikan peningkatan kejujuran dan keterampilan pe-mecahan masalah, serta mengetahui ketuntasan kemampuan pemecahan masalah peserta didik yang diajar dengan pembelajaran pendekatan Brain-Based Learning berbantuan Sir-kuit Matematika. Desain penelitian ini adalah kualitatif deskriptif dengan subjek lima o-rang peserta didik kelas VIIIC SMP Negeri 1 Pecangaan yang yang memperoleh peringkat pertama, kuartil pertama, kuartil kedua, kuartil ketiga dan terakhir pada tes awal kemampu-an pemecahan masalah. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa masing-masing subjek penelitian mengalami peningkatan karakter jujur serta keterampilan pemecahan masalah dengan kategori tinggi. Peserta didik juga dapat mencapai KKM baik secara individual maupun secara klasikal pa-da tes kemampuan pemecahan masalah. Simpulan yang diperoleh adalah karakter jujur dan keterampilan pemecahan masalah peserta didik meningkat, serta kemampuan pemecahan masa-lah peserta didik mencapai KKM melalui pembelajaran tersebut. Kata kunci:      Brain-Based Learning; jujur; keterampilan dan kemampuan pemecahan masalah; Sirkuit Matematika  AbstractThe purposes of this study were to describe how to increase and the increasing of honesty and problem solving skills students by Brain-Based Learning approach assisted by Math Circuit and to know the completeness of student’s problem solving ability. The research design was qualitative descriptive, subject research are five students of VIIIC SMP Negeri 1 Pecangaan who are obtained first rank, first quartile, second quartile, third quartile and the last rank on problem solving ability beginning test. The result showed that each subject of study had increase in honest character and problem-solving skill. Students also could achieve individual and clasical mastery learning in problem-solving ability test. The conclusion of this research are honest character and problem solving skills of students increased, as well as problem solving abilities of students reach the minimum mastering criteria.  Keywords:                             Brain-Based Learning; honesty; Math Circuit; problem solving skill and ability

Abstract

Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk (1) membentuk karakter tanggung jawab dan keterampilan komunikasi matematika siswa melalui pembelajaran matematika dengan model pembelajaran problem posing berbantuan scaffolding pada materi pokok  segitiga kelas VII dan (2) mengetahui apakah kemampuan komunikasi matematika siswa yang diajar dengan model pembelajaran problem posing berbantuan scaffolding pada materi pokok  segitiga kelas VII dapat mencapai KKM yang ditentukan atau tidak. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian kualitatif kolaboratif. Subjek penelitian dipilih dengan teknik purposive sampling. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa karakter tanggung jawab dan  keterampilan komunikasi matematika kelima subjek penelitian mengalami peningkatan. Hasil tes kemampuan komunikasi matematika kelima subjek penelitian juga telah mencapai KKM yang telah ditentukan. Berdasarkan uraian di atas dapat disimpulkan bahwa penerapan model pembelajaran problem posing berbantuan scaffolding dapat membentuk karakter tanggung jawab dan keterampilan komunikasi matematika siswa.The purpose of this research is (1) to forming a responsibility character and mathematics communication skills of students through mathematics learning with model of Problem Posing assisted scaffolding on triangles material of grade VII and (2) to know the mathematics communication ability of students can achieve the specified Minimum Mastery Criteria (MMC) or not. This research is a collaborative qualitative research. The subjects research are chosen by  purposive sampling technique. The research results showed that the responsibility character and mathematics communication skills of  the five subjects was increase. The mathematics communication ability test results showed that the five subjects can achieve the specified MMC. Based on the explanation above can be concluded that the application of learning model problem posing assisted scaffolding can form the responsibility character and mathematics communication skills of students.

Abstract

Classroom-based  action research (CAR) for high school math teachers is very important to develop their professionalism.  To improve the competence of teachers, a development of CAR  training  model  based  on  mentoring  is  needed.  This  study  aims  to  produce  an appropriate  CAR  training  model  based  on  mentoring  to  improve  teachers’ professionalism.  This study employed research and development (R & D) model, then the procedure pursued in this research started from  (1) literature study, (2) preliminary field study,  (3)  needs  analysis,  (4)  preparing  the  training  model  design,  (5)  performing validation model, (6) revising the model, (7) preparing hypothetical model of training, (8) performing limited testing and expanded trials, and (9) revising the final model through the  focus  group  discussion   (FGD-2),  experts,  and  practitioners   to  obtain  the  final model.The   result   shows   that:  (1)  the  product   which   is  validated   by  experts   and practitioners  obtains  a mean  score  of 62.15  (good  qualification),  (2) the final  training model is very feasible to be used by the indication of the its mean score at 3.59 (very high) for its usefulness, the mean score of 3.48 (very high) for its practicality, the mean score of3.58  (very  high)  for  its  feasibility.  The  implementation   of  training  program  is  alsocapable of producing  CAR research reports. The conclusions  of research is that the final model of CAR training based on mentoring and its training instruments are very feasible to be used to improve the professionalism  of senior high school math teachers in Brebes.

Abstract

Pemanfaatan sistem informasi sebagai penopang organisasi tidak dapat dipungkiri lagi, dimana setiap bagian dari organisasi diharapkan mampu memberikan pelayanan yang cepat dan akurat kepada setiap end user. Salah satu bentuk layanan sistem informasi tersebut adalah Expertise Management System (EMS). EMS dikembangkan di Universitas Negeri Semarang (UNNES) memiliki kemampuan untuk menyajikan data tentang pakar-pakar yang telah dimiliki UNNES kepada end user. Desain EMS melalui tahap prototype (analisis, perancangan, desain sistem, DFD, ERD, dan desain skema database), pemrograman, pengujian dan pemeliharaan. Melalui EMS ini pula, UNNES dapat menawarkan pakar-pakarnya untuk berkolaborasi dalam penelitian maupun kegiatan lainnya, sehingga dengan sendirinya akan memperkuat posisi UNNES di dalam persaingan tingkat regional maupun global.

Abstract

Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan Research and Development dengan tujuan untuk memotret penilaian pembelajaran yang sudah ada, mengembangkan instrumen penilaian pembelajaran dan menguji validitas, reliabilitas serta keefektifan produk. Pengembangan instrumen mengacu pada model Borg and Gall (2003). Instrumen ini dirancang untuk mengukur ranah afektif (karakter demokratis) dan ranah kognitif (kemampuan berfikir kritis). Teknik pengumpulan data dengan metode tes, dokumentasi, observasi, wawancara, dan angket. Analisis data pada produk awal divalidasi oleh pakar untuk mendapatkan validitas isi. Selanjutnya, instrumen diujicobakan secara terbatas kepada peserta didik di SMA Negeri 1 Welahan Jepara. Hasil ujicoba instrument kemampuan berfikir kritis diukur validitas dengan rumus product moment. Sedangkan uji reliabilitas menggunakan rumus alpha. Tingkat kesukaran soal dan daya pembeda juga diukur. Pada instrument penilaian karakter demokratis yang diukur adalah validitas dan reliabilitas. Hasil pengukuran menunjukkan instrument penilaian pembelajaran yang dikembangkan valid, reliabel, praktis dan efektif.This study used Research and Development (R&D) whose objective were to highlight the existing learning assessment and to develop a new learning assessment by testing validity and reliability, as well as the effectiveness of the well-developed product. This study referred to Borg and Gall (2003) model. The instrument of this study, that is the developed product, was organized to assess the affective domain (democratic character) and the cognitive domain (critical thinking ability). Additionally, the methods of data collection were using tests, documentation, observation, interviews, and questionnaires. The data analysis of the preliminary product was validated by some experts to obtain the content validity. Afterwards, the well-developed product was only tried out to the students of State Senior High School 1 of Welahan-Jepara. The try out result of critical thinking ability was analyzed by using the formula of ‘product moment’ to measure the validity. Meanwhile, the reliability test was using the formula of ‘alpha’. Furthermore, the difficulty level of the items and discrimination power were also measured. Moreover, the instrument of democratic character assessment also measured the validity and reliability. Finally, the resultsof this study showed that the instrument of well-developed learning assessment was valid, reliable, practical, and effective.

Abstract

Heuristic strategy is one of the mathematics problem solving strategies to gain effective results. This research aimed to analyze the use of the heuristic strategies based on the modification of the Krulik and Rudnik model. This research discovered and classified the students’ heuristic strategies which can be used as a basis to provide assistance in the learning. This research was a qualitative research involving 32 students of SMP Muhammadiyah 4 Yogyakarta as its subjects. The research variables are the indicators of the Krulik and Rudnik heuristic models which the students performed including: read and think, explore and plan, select a strategy, find and answer, as well as reflect and extend. The data was taken through questionnaire and interview methods. The result suggested that: 2 students (6.25%) were in the good category as they did all of the heuristic strategies more often; 21 students (65.62%) were in the fair category since they implemented some indicators of the heuristic strategies; and 9 students (28.13%) were in the poor category since they were lack in implementing the heuristic strategies. In all categories, indicator of find and answer was more oftenly done by the students while the indicator of explore and plan was less done.

Abstract

It’s difficult for junior high school’s teacher to get position and foster their students who’re still in transition in creative thinking. This study evaluated creative thinking process based on a model of Wallas (2014). Subjects were categorized into upper, middle, and low category after doing creative thinking ability test. The variable is an existence of junior high school’s students in solving a mathematics problem. Data were analyzed through classification, data representation, and conclusions. The results showed 1) 23,33% of students only reached preparation stage, called low category, 2) 60% of students reached illumination stage though students take a long time, called middle category, and 3) 16,67% of students have completed up to verification stage, called upper category. By deepening triangulation interview, right students in that category. Students in low and middle category still need assistance when experiencing obstacle in the creative thinking process, while upper category needs of enrichment materials.
