Abstract

A systematic review was conducted to investigate the literature on the effectiveness of comprehensive life skills programs. Life skills development has been linked to participation in sports in general, as well as volleyball and other physical activities that will be tried in Indonesia. This is aimed at encouraging the positive development of young people so that they have better opportunities for quality living in the future. This can happen when the coaches understand correctly how life skills are integrated structurally and intentionally in the process of volleyball training for the positive development of young people. This article will discuss matters relating to the types of environments that trainers need to create so that players can develop life skills, form a formal training process for trainers, and finally practice as well as experimentation on how life skills are integrated into volleyball training. The results of this experiment will be a further study to find out the special features of life skills integration that are integrated in a structured and intentional manner compared to unintentional structured and with no involvement at all in the context of positive development of young people.

Abstract

Abstract

Sports achievement is influenced by many factors, such as physical condition, technique, tactics, and psychology. An athlete's Intellectual Ability/intelligence quotient (IQ) influences playing performance in a match. The research aims to determine the level of relationship between IQ and performance ability in playing handball. This research uses a quantitative approach using correlative descriptive methods. The sample in this study used a purposive sampling technique which resulted in 40 subjects with an age range of 16-18 years with std ± 7.178. Using two research instruments, namely collecting data for intellectual intelligence results in collaboration with psychological practitioners and using Game Performance Assessment Instrument (GPAI) analysis for handball games. Data analysis was processed using SPSS version 26 software, using the MANOVA method. Multivariate research results (p0.05) show that each component of the handball game includes decision-making (0.9280.05), skill execution (0.0820.05), support (0.8920.05), guard (0.327 0.05), and game performance (0.2070.05). Therefore, there is no significant relationship between intellectual intelligence and playing handball, but there is a positive average result of the highest relationship between intellectual intelligence and execution skills. From the findings, the game of handball must improve the execution skill/technical skill component.

Abstract

The Industrial Revolution 4.0 has led to rapid technological advancements in sports technology, aiming to improve athlete performance and monitor developments. These innovations have had an impact on the sports industry, but have only been felt in developed countries. Existing studies on entrepreneurship, extended reality, e-textiles, and inertial movement units (IMU) have explored various aspects of sports technology. However, no review has focused on sensor technology's use in sports performance. This study bibliometrically evaluates sports technology research from 2008 through 2023, identifying trends in growth, notable publications, top authors, journals, institutions, and nations. The results give readers and researchers new information about the development and growth of sports sensor technology subjects as well as about active and potential research areas. China is the most productive country, contributing 17 publications related to sports technology, while the United Kingdom is the most impactful country with 474 citations.
