Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui sistem pemeliharaan dan pendapatan usaha ternak sapi yang dikombinasikan dengan usahatani yakni, perkebunan kelapa dan jambu mete di Kabupaten Buton Utara. Penelitian ini dilaksanakan di Kecamatan Kambowa, Kulisusu Barat, dan Wakorumba Kabupaten Buton Utara Provinsi Sulawesi Tenggara. Penentuan lokasi penelitian dilakukan secara sengaja (purposive sampling), didasarkan atas pertimbangan bahwa ketiga kecamatan tersebut mempunyai populasi ternak sapi tertinggi dibandingkan kecamatan lainnya. Selanjutnya untuk menunjukkan keterwakilan wilayah Utara, Barat dan Selatan Kabupaten Buton Utara dan Lokasi penelitian terdapat peternak sapi yang dikombinasikan dengan usahatani perkebunan. Responden diambil secara proporsional, yaitu sebanyak 15 orang di Kecamatan Kambowa, 25 orang di Kecamatan Kulisusu Barat dan 20 orang di Kecamatan Wakorumba sehingga total responden adalah sebanyak  60 orang. Selanjutnya data dianalisis secara kualitatif dan kuantitatif. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan sistem pemeliharaan sapi Bali di lokasi penelitian masih didominasi oleh sistem pemeliharan ekstensif dan pengelolaan usahatani masih didominasi oleh usahatani tanaman perkebunan kelapa dan jambu mete. Rata-rata pendapatan usaha ternak sapi bali sebesar Rp. 434.333 per bulan dan usaha tani sebesar Rp. 1.197.287 per bulan. Kemudian rata-rata pendapatan usaha ternak sapi Bali yang dikombinasikan dengan usaha tani perkebunan sebesar Rp. 1.631.621 per bulan.

Abstract

Penelitian bertujuan menganalisis potensi pengembangan integrasi ternak ruminansia dan tanaman pangan di Kabupaten Kolaka timur dilaksanakan Oktober 2020 menggunakan data sekunder yang berasal dari berbagai sumber. Analisis dalam penelitian menggunakan analisis LQ (Location Quotient) dan daya tampung ternak. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan daerah basis pengembangan ternak dengan menggunakan analisis LQ (Location Quotient) terdapat pada Kecamatan Lambandia, Kecamatan Lalolae, Kecamatan Mowewe, Kecamatan Tinondo, dan Kecamatan Ueesi serta analisis daya tampung tenak untuk ternak sapi potong sebanyak 21.046,54 ekor satuan ternak dan ternak kambing sebanyak 308,651,34 ekor satuan ternak. Kesimpulannya bahwa Kabupaten Kolaka timur berpotensi sebagai kawasan pengembangan ternak ruminansia, khususnya sapi potong dan kambing.

Abstract

Pengembangan ternak sapi potong dan kambing merupakan komoditas strategis dalam mendukung ketahanan pangan sekaligus penyedia kebutuhan protein asal ternak. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui potensi pengembangan ternak sapi potong dan kambing kacang di Kabupaten Konawe Kepulauan dengan menggunakan analisis LQ (Location Quotient) dan analisis kapasitas tampung ternak sedangkan data yang digunakan bersumber dari data sekunder yang dikumpulkan dari berbagai sumber untuk mendukung penelitian ini. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa  terdapat tiga (3) kecamatan yang merupakan basis pengembangan ternak sapi potong yaitu Kecamatan Wawonii Selatan, Kecamatan Wawonii Tengah, dan Kecamatan Wawonii Timur. Sedangkan, untuk pengembangan ternak kambing kacang terdapat tiga (3) kecamatan yaitu Kecamatan Wawonii Tenggara, Wawonii Utara, dan Kecamatan Wawonii Timur Laut dengan total kapasitas tampung ternak sapi potong 942 dan kambing kacang 13.814 satuan ternak (ST).

Abstract

Abstract The best known broiler chicken meat product in urban communities is Kentucky Fried Chicken (KFC). Seeing the business opportunity, entrepreneurs in Kendari City tried to make fried chicken similar to KFC products by labeling Kendari Fried Chicken (Kendari-FC) at a relatively affordable price of Rp 8.000 per piece compared to the KFC price of Rp 15.000 per piece. This study aims to analyze the marketing prospects of Kendari-FC entrepreneurs in Kendari City. The location of the research was determined purposively with the respondents of the study being kendari-FC entrepreneurs in kendari city who were determined by census. The results showed that the income of Kendari-FC entrepreneurs in Kendari City averaged Rp 5.066.458 per month or Rp 168.882 per day with an average income of Rp 36.276 per head. Kendari-FC's marketing prospects have the potential to be developed especially in West Kendari District because the average revenue from sales of each tail is Rp 48.105.40 per head. Abstract

The potential for the development of beef cattle farming in South Konawe Regency is a potential area for the development of Bali cattle with a beef cattle population of 367,665 heads and one of them is Ranomeeto Barat District with a cattle population of 3608 heads or 5.01% of the total population in the Regency. South Konawe. The purpose of this service is to provide technical assistance and guidance, as well as training in increasing knowledge and skills regarding potential, preparing livestock business plans, and overcoming problems faced by farmers with the methods used including the preparation stage, socialization stage, and activity implementation stage. The results of community service in technical assistance and training in making colony cages, making compost, preparing livestock business plans provide an alternative for the community in maximizing the productivity of beef cattle business.

Abstract

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to determine the carcass composition of several different types of ducks in a semi-intensive maintenance system. There were 16 ducks used with 3 months of age based on a complete randomized design (CRD) with 4 different duck treatments and 4 replications. Based on the results and discussion, it can be concluded that at the same age, Peking duck, alabio duck, manila duck and mojosari duck were significantly different (P <0.01) in cutting weight, carcass percentage, thigh percentage, back percentage, gizzard percentage and fat percentage abdominal. Meanwhile, the different types of ducks did not affect (P> 0.05) chest percentage, wing percentage, neck percentage and heart percentage. In general, live weight, percentage of carcasses and parts of carcasses of manila ducks were superior to mojosari ducks, alabio ducks and Peking ducks. The alabio duck is superior to the Peking duck and the mojosari duck. In terms of non-carcass organs, mojosari ducks had a percentage of gizzard superior to Peking, alabio and manila ducks, while the percentage of liver was significantly different (P <0.05) and the percentage of heart was not significantly different (P> 0.05). The abdominal fat content of alabio duck is very different from that of Peking duck, mojsari duck and manila duck.

Abstract

Pemasaran sapi Bali melibatkan pelaku bisnis hingga menimbulkan biaya dalam setiap tahap saluran pemasaran. Penelitian bertujuan menganalisis saluran pemasaran sapi Bali dan margin pemasaran di Kecamatan Barangka Kabupaten Muna Barat pada bulan Agustus-Oktober 2020. Populasi penelitian adalah peternak dan pedagang sapi Bali sebanyak 6 desa dengan penentuan lokasi ditentukan secara stratified sampling berdasarkan populasi sapi terendah, sedang, tinggi dengan pemilihan responden secara purposive sampling. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan saluran pemasaran sapi Bali memilik 5 tipe yaitu, (1) peternak produsen-pedagang pengumpul tingkat desa-pedagang tingkat kecamatan-pedagang pengumpul antar pulau-konsumen akhir, (2) peternak produsen-pedagang pengumpul tingkat desa-pedagang antar pulau-konsumen akhir, (3)peternak produsen-pedagang antar kecamatan-pedagang antar pulau-konsumen akhir, (4) peternak produsen-pedagang pengecer-konsumen akhir, (5) peternak produsen-konsumen akhir. Margin pemasaran sapi Bali terbesar dari peternak produsen ke pedagang pengecer mencapai Rp 2.620.489 per ekor dan margin terkecil penjualan ternak dari peternak produsen ke pedagang pengumpul tingkat desa Rp 1.035.823 per ekor.
