Abstract

This study aims to analyze the correlation between the levels of betatrophin and fasting blood glucose (FBG) in obese females. This study used a cross sectional study method of 26 obese female aged 18-23 years old, body mass index (BMI) 25-35 kg/m2 and body fat percentage (PBF) above 30%. Betatrophin levels were measured by ELISA method, while FBG measurements used ACCU-CHEK® Performance. The data analysis techniques used the Pearson Correlation test with the Statistical Package for Social Sciences (SPSS). The results obtained the average of betatrophin level (165.707 ± 96.124) pg / mL and the average of FBG (90.576 ± 7.094) g / dL (p = 0.021). Based on the results of the study it can be concluded that there is a correlation between levels of betatrophin and FBG in obese adolescent girls with a negative correlation direction

Abstract

Obesity also increases the risk of decreased Growth Hormone (GH) secretion. Decreased GH secretions have an impact on increasing body fat and decreasing lean body mass. This study aims to analyze the status of Growth Hormone (GH) in obese subjects and the correlation of GH with age. This study used a cross sectional study method using 30 obese female adolescent Body Mass Index (BMI) subjects 25-35 kg/m2, Percentage of Body Fat (PBF) above 30% and fasting blood glucose (FBG) below 100 mg/dL. Measurement of GH levels used the Enzym Link Immunosorbent Assay (ELISA) method. Data analysis techniques used the Pearson Correlation test with the Statistical Package for Social Science. Results obtained mean GH levels (761.119±504.627) pg/mL and average age (20.863±1.082) years (r =-0.483) and (p=0.023). Based on the results of the study, it can be concluded that there is a negative correlation between GH status and age in obese subjects

Abstract

This study aimed to analyze the relationship of insulin-like growth factor 1 with bone mass in obese female. This study used a cross sectional study method using 30 obese women aged 19-23 years, body mass index (BMI) 25-35 kg / m2, normal blood pressure, normal resting heart rate (RHR), normal hemoglobin (Hb). and fasting blood glucose (FBG) <100 mg / dL. Measurement of IGF-1 levels used the Enzym Link Immunosorbent Assay (ELISA) method. Measurement of bone mass using TANITA (Body Composition Analyzer DC3607601 (2) -1604 FA, TANITA Corporation of America, Inc., USA). The data analysis technique used the Pearson product-moment test with Statistical Package for Social Science (SPSS). The results showed that mean levels of IGF-1 (1.17 ± 0.10) ng / mL and bone mass (2.49 ± 0.06) kg (r = 0.712, P ≤ 0.001). Our findings suggest that there was a positive correlation between IGF-1 levels and bone mass

Abstract

The Audio and Visual Whole Body Reaction (WBR) motor function test uses the THP-15 tool, the balance test uses the Balance Error Scoring System (BESS), while the Working Memory (WM) executive function test uses the Forward Digit Span Task and the Inhibitory Control (IC) test using the Animal Stroop Task. The data analysis technique used the Pearson Chi-Square test with Statistical Package for Social Science (SPSS). The results obtained the mean of the visual Whole Body Reaction (WBR) motor function in the EO (0.55±0.21) and EBO (0.52±0.25) groups (p=0.558). The mean WBR Audio in the EO (0.73±0.24) and EBO (0.70±0.29) groups (p=0.918). The average balance in the EO group (1.65±0.54) and EBO (1.58±0.48) (p=0.297). Executive function of Working Memory (WM) in the EO (5.00±0.74) and EBO (5.19±0.74) groups (p=0.636). The mean inhibitory control (IC) in the EO group (4.61±2.09) and the EBO group (3.88±2.86) (p=0.048

Abstract

Coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) pandemic is attacking several characteristics of the population. It has been identified that those at higher risk of exposure to COVID-19 are the elderly, patients with hypertension and/or diabetes mellitus, patients with many risk factors and/or have been diagnosed cardiovascular disease, and patients with respiratory diseases. The effects of aerobic exercise during the COVID-19 pandemic need to be systematically structured so that accurate and valid information is delivered, is the aim of this paper. According to the guidelines, aerobic exercise during the COVID-19 pandemic has many benefits, including to improve the performance of the cardiovascular system, to maintain and enhance the performance of the respiratory system and the immune system. Hence, it will have an impact on the individual quality of life, the quality of life increases, people can live a healthy life even during the COVID-19 pandemic.
