Abstract

This research is purposedly done to describe the role and position of Bundo Kanduang contained in the novel Negeri Perempuan Wisran Hadi. This type of research is qualitative research with use hermeneutic method. Based on the data analysis, five roles and five forms of Bundo Kanduang position were found in Wisran Hadi's NegeriPerempuan novel, (1) the guardian of the kinship order in Minangkabau, (2) the determinant of the implementation of traditional ceremonies, (3) the form of behavior, (4) voter in deliberation, and (5) a mother. Bundo Kanduang's invisible role is the role of a wife. Furthermore, the position of Bundo Kanduang which appears in the novel, namely (1) limpapeh rumah nan gadang, (2) amban puruak pagangan kunci, (3) pusek jalo kumpulan tali, (4) sumarak dalam nagari, and (5) nan gadang basa batuah. `           Kata kunci: Bundo Kanduang, hermeneutika, kedudukan, peran

Abstract

ABSTRACT This article is written to determine the effect TTW discovery techniques learning model based on the skills of writing text LHO of the students class X SMAN 7 Padang. Data of this study is the result of the test writing skills LHO text before and after treatment. Data collected by the performance test by providing employment to students in the form of LHO writing text test. LHO text writing skills before and after treatment compared to see the effect of model-based techniques TTW discovery learning by using t-test formula. The results showed that (1) the skills to write LHO text of the students class X SMAN 7 Padang before using the technique think talk write model-based discovery learning is in the Enough qualification, (2) the skill of LHO writing text after using the technique think talk write model-based discovery learning students class X SMAN 7 Padang are in Good qualification, (3) based on the t-test, concluded that there was a significant influence on the use of model-based techniques TTW discovery learning in teaching LHO writing text of the students class X SMAN 7 Padang. Kata kunci: pengaruh, teknik think talk write TTW berbasis model discovery                   learning, menulis teks laporan hasil observasi

Abstract

ABSTRACT This research is aimed to describe the influence cooperative model type TPS concerning description essay writing skills of student class VIII SMP Negeri 1 Pariaman. The research method of this study is experiment method with quasi experiment. The results of this study there was significant influence cooperative model type TPS concerning description essay writing skills of student class VIII SMP Negeri 1 Pariaman at significant level 95% with degrees of freedom  (n1+n2)-2, namely ttable <tarithmetic (1,70<9,19). Ho was rejected and H1 was accepted because the results of the hypothesis test prove that value of ttable was smaller than tarithmetic. Kata kunci: pengaruh, kooperatif, TPS, karangan deskripsi

Abstract

ABSTRACT This article has written the contribution of appreciative reading  skill of fable story text to the skills of producing fable story texts at  students VIII class of SMPN 12 Padang. This research is quantitative research using the descriptive method and the contribution research design. The research data is the test result score of appreciative reading  skill of fable story text and the test result score of reproducing fable story text. The data has obtained through two types of test that are the objective test which uses reproducing fable story text . Based on the result of data analysis and the discussion, the researcher concludes the three things follow; first, the average score of the student’ reading appreciative reading  skill of fable story text at students VIII class of SMPN 12 Padang is in the good qualification (82.01). Second, the average score of the student’ reproducing fable story text students at VIII class of SMPN 12 Padang is in the good qualification (79,17). Third, there are the significant contributions between the appreciative reading  skill of fable story text toward the students reproducing fable story text students at VIII class of SMPN 12 padang as much as 84,82%.   Kata kunci: Kontribusi, Keterampilan, Membaca Apresiatif, Mereproduksi, Teks Cerita Fabel

Abstract

ABSTRACT The purpose of this research there are three. First, describe the environmental field vocabulary mastery of grade VIII MTS. n. 2 southern coast. Second, it describes the writing skills text beritasiswa class VIII MTS. n. 2 SelatanKetiga Coast, describing the correlation field environmental vocabulary mastery with the text of the news writing skills of students of class VIII MTS. n. 2 southern coast. This research type is quantitative descriptive method. The design used is a korelasional design. Population research is grade VIII MTS. n. 2 southern coast that are listed in the 2018/2019, i.e., 223 students. The research sample is determined by proportional random sampling of 20% of the population, namely 45 pupils. The results of the research there are three. First, mastery of the vocabulary of the field of the environment students of class VIII MTS. n. 2 located on the southern coast of qualifications either (B) with an average value of 78.81. Secondly, the text of the news writing skills of students of class VIII MTS. n. 2 located on the southern coast of qualifications either (B) with an average of 79.54. Third, there is a correlation of mastery of the vocabulary of the field of the environment with the text of the news writing skills of students of class VIII MTS. n. 2 southern coast on a 95% confidence level with n-1 degrees of freedom. the value of thitung > ttabel (5.01 > 1.62). Kata Kunci: Korelasi, Kosakata Bidang Lingkungan Hidup, Menulis Teks Berita

Abstract

 This research is purpose to describe the influencing of using copy the master technic for writing explanation text ability for students class VIII SMP Negeri 15 Padang. The kind of this research is quantitative. The research uses experiment method which emphasizes on semu design experiment for one group pretest posttest design. There are three result on the research are (1) the students’ ability in writing explanation text before using copy the master technic at SMP Negeri 15 Padang is low and grades LdC with average 65,97, (2) the students’ ability in writing explanation text after using copy the master technic at SMP Negeri 15 Padang is high and grades BS with average 85,97, and (3) the significant influenced from using copy the master technic writing explanation text ability for students class VIII SMP Negeri 15 Padang. Abstract

ABSTRACT This article was to describe the effects of the using of discovery learning model using audiovisual media toward student of writing news skill at grade VIII SMP Negeri 28 Padang. The method used was experiment method. Based on data analysis it could be concluded three points as follow. First, student’s  writing a news skill at grade VIII SMP Negeri 28 Padang was moderate with mean score 73,53 without using of model discovery learning aided audiovisual media. Second, students’s writing news skill at grade VIII SMP Negeri 28 Padang using of model discovery learning aided audiovisual media was good with mean score 79,68. Third, based on t-test it could be conclude that there was the effects of model discovery learning using audiovisual media toward student’s writing news skill at grade VIII SMP Negeri 28 Padang because taritmatic> t table (3,04>1,67). Kata kunci: pengaruh, model discovery learning, media audiovisual, menulis berita

Abstract

ABSTRACT This article was written to describe the correlation of reading comprehension skill with the skill of writing the text of the result of observation of the tenth grade students of SMK Negeri 10 Padang. This research is a quantitative research with correlational method. The sample in this study amounted to 30 people. The data of this research is the result score skill test reading comprehension and the result score skill test of writing the text of the result of observation. Based on data analysis and discussion, the following three things are obtained. First, the skill of reading comprehension of the tenth grade students of SMK Negeri 10 Padang is in good qualification  (77,13). Second, the skill of writting the text of the result of observation of the tenth grade students of SMK Negeri 10 Padang is in more than enough qualification (69,63). Third, there is correlation of reading comprehension skill with the skill of writing the text of the result of observation of the tenth grade students of SMK Negeri 10 Padang because tcount>ttable (2,47>1,31). Kata kunci: korelasi, membaca pemahaman, menulis, teks laporan hasil observasi

Abstract

ABSTRACT The purpose of this study is as follows. First, describe reading skills in understanding the exposition text of class VIII students of SMP Negeri 28 Padang. Second, describe the writing skills of exposition text of grade VIII students of SMP Negeri 28 Padang. Third, analyze the correlation of reading skills understanding exposition text and exposition text writing skills of class VIII students of SMP Negeri 28 Padang. This type of research is quantitative research with descriptive methods. Research design is correlational research. The sample of this study amounted to 40 people. The sampling technique in this study was simple random sampling. The instruments used in this study are objective tests for reading skills in understanding exposition text and performance tests for text writing skills exposition. Data were analyzed by percentage formula, formula for calculating average, normality test, homogeneity test, and t-test. The results of this study are the following three things. First, the reading skills of understanding the exposition text of class VIII students of SMP Negeri 28 Padang were of good quality, with an average score of 77.64. Secondly, the writing skills of exposition text of grade VIII students of Padang Public Middle School 28 are more than qualified, with an average value of 73.38 below the KKM (75). Third, there is a positive and significant relationship between reading skills understanding exposition text and exposition text writing skills of class VIII students of SMP Negeri 28 Padang at a significant level of 0.05 and degrees of freedom (dk) = n-1 because t count> ttable is 6.70> 1, 68.  Kata Kunci: Korelasi, Keterampilan Membaca Pemahaman Teks Eksposisi,                        Keterampilan Menulis Teks Eksposisi
